| Now I have abandoned all efforts and devices. |

| ਕਰਣ ਕਾਰਣ ਸਮਰਥ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਹਰਿ ਏਕਸੁ ਤੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਗਾਤੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ |
| karan kaaran samarathh suaamee har eaekas thae maeree gaathae ||1|| rehaao || |

| I have seen numerous forms of incomparable beauty, but nothing is like You. |

| You give Your Support to all, O my Lord and Master; You are the Giver of peace, of the soul and the breath of life. ||1|| |

| bhramatha bhramatha haar jo pariou tho gur mil charan paraathae || |
| Wandering, wandering, I grew so tired; meeting the Guru, I fell at His Feet. |

| gur dhaeiaal bheae sukhadhaaee andhhulai maanik dhaekhaa ||1|| rehaao || |
| The Guru, the Giver of peace, has become merciful to me. I was blind - I see the jewel of the Lord. ||1||Pause|| |

| I have cut away the darkness of ignorance and become immaculate; my discriminationg intellect has blossomed forth. |

| ਜਿਉ ਜਲ ਤਰੰਗ ਫੇਨੁ ਜਲ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ ਸੇਵਕ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਭਏ ਏਕਾ ॥੧॥ |
| jio jal tharang faen jal hoee hai saevak thaakur bheae eaekaa ||1|| |
| As the waves of water and the foam become water again, the Lord and His servant become One. ||1|| |

| ਜਹ ਤੇ ਉਠਿਓ ਤਹ ਹੀ ਆਇਓ ਸਭ ਹੀ ਏਕੈ ਏਕਾ ॥ |
| jeh thae outhiou theh hee aaeiou sabh hee eaekai eaekaa || |
| He is taken in again, into what from which he came; all is one in the One Lord. |

| I have looked everywhere in every country, but nothing equals even a hair of my Beloved. ||1||Pause|| |

| mai neerae anik bhojan bahu binjan thin sio dhrisatt n karai ruchaangai || |
| All sorts of delicacies and dainties are placed before me, but I do not even want to look at them. |

| gun nidhhaan manamohan laalan sukhadhaaee sarabaangai || |
| The Treasure of Virtue, the Enticer of the mind, my Beloved is the Giver of peace to all. |

| saadhh kirapaal dhaeiaal bheae hai eihu shhaedhiou dhusatt bigaanaa ||1|| rehaao || |
| The Holy Saint has become kind and compassionate to me, and has destroyed this demon of duality. ||1||Pause|| |

| You are so beautiful, and You are so wise; You are elegant and all-knowing. |

| ਸਗਲ ਜੋਗ ਅਰੁ ਗਿਆਨ ਧਿਆਨ ਇਕ ਨਿਮਖ ਨ ਕੀਮਤਿ ਜਾਨਾਂ ॥੧॥ |
| sagal jog ar giaan dhhiaan eik nimakh n keemath jaanaan ||1|| |
| All the Yogis, spiritual teachers and meditators do not know even a bit of Your value. ||1|| |

| ਤੁਮ ਹੀ ਨਾਇਕ ਤੁਮ੍ਹ੍ਹਹਿ ਛਤ੍ਰਪਤਿ ਤੁਮ ਪੂਰਿ ਰਹੇ ਭਗਵਾਨਾ ॥ |
| thum hee naaeik thumhehi shhathrapath thum poor rehae bhagavaanaa || |
| You are the Master, You are the Lord under the royal canopy; You are the perfectly pervading Lord God. |

| ਪਾਵਉ ਦਾਨੁ ਸੰਤ ਸੇਵਾ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਦ ਕੁਰਬਾਨਾਂ ॥੨॥੬॥੨੯॥ |
| paavo dhaan santh saevaa har naanak sadh kurabaanaan ||2||6||29|| |
| Please bless me with the gift of service to the Saints; O Nanak, I am a sacrifice to the Lord. ||2||6||29|| |

| bisariou dhhandhh bandhh maaeiaa ko rajan sabaaee jangaa ||1|| rehaao || |
| I have forgotten the entangling affairs of Maya, and I spend my life-night fighting with evil. ||1||Pause|| |

| ਹਰਿ ਸੇਵਉ ਹਰਿ ਰਿਦੈ ਬਸਾਵਉ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਇਆ ਸਤਸੰਗਾ ॥ |
| har saevo har ridhai basaavo har paaeiaa sathasangaa || |
| I serve the Lord; the Lord abides within my heart. I have found my Lord in the Sat Sangat, the True Congregation. |

| ਐਸੋ ਮਿਲਿਓ ਮਨੋਹਰੁ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮੁ ਸੁਖ ਪਾਏ ਮੁਖ ਮੰਗਾ ॥੧॥ |
| aiso miliou manohar preetham sukh paaeae mukh mangaa ||1|| |
| So I have met with my enticingly beautiful Beloved; I have obtained the peace which I asked for. ||1|| |

| ਪ੍ਰਿਉ ਅਪਨਾ ਗੁਰਿ ਬਸਿ ਕਰਿ ਦੀਨਾ ਭੋਗਉ ਭੋਗ ਨਿਸੰਗਾ ॥ |
| prio apanaa gur bas kar dheenaa bhogo bhog nisangaa || |
| The Guru has brought my Beloved under my control, and I enjoy Him with unrestrained pleasure. |

| ਨਿਰਭਉ ਭਏ ਨਾਨਕ ਭਉ ਮਿਟਿਆ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਇਓ ਪਾਠੰਗਾ ॥੨॥੭॥੩੦॥ |
| nirabho bheae naanak bho mittiaa har paaeiou paathangaa ||2||7||30|| |
| I have become fearless; O Nanak, my fears have been eradicated. Chanting the Word, I have found the Lord. ||2||7||30|| |

| bachan naadh maerae sravanahu poorae dhaehaa pria ank samaanee ||1|| rehaao || |
| The Naad, the Sound-current of His Word fills my ears; my body has settled gently into the Lap of my Beloved. ||1||Pause|| |

| ਛੂਟਰਿ ਤੇ ਗੁਰਿ ਕੀਈ ਸਹਾਗਨਿ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਇਓ ਸੁਘੜ ਸੁਜਾਨੀ ॥ |
| shhoottar thae gur keeee suohaagan har paaeiou sugharr sujaanee || |
| I was a discarded bride, and the Guru has made me a happy soul-bride. I have found the Elegant and All-knowing Lord. |

| ਜਿਹ ਘਰ ਮਹਿ ਬੈਸਨੁ ਨਹੀ ਪਾਵਤ ਸੋ ਥਾਨੁ ਮਿਲਿਓ ਬਾਸਾਨੀ ॥੧॥ |
| jih ghar mehi baisan nehee paavath so thhaan miliou baasaanee ||1|| |
| That home, in which I was not even allowed to sit - I have found that place in which I can dwell. ||1|| |

| ਉਨ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਕੈ ਬਸਿ ਆਇਓ ਭਗਤਿ ਬਛਲੁ ਜਿਨਿ ਰਾਖੀ ਆਨ ਸੰਤਾਨੀ ॥ |
| ounh kai bas aaeiou bhagath bashhal jin raakhee aan santhaanee || |
| God, the Love of His devotees, has come under the control of those who protect the honor of His Saints. |

| ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਸੰਗਿ ਮਨੁ ਮਾਨਿਆ ਸਭ ਚੂਕੀ ਕਾਣਿ ਲਕਾਨੀ ॥੨॥੮॥੩੧॥ |
| kahu naanak har sang man maaniaa sabh chookee kaan luokaanee ||2||8||31|| |
| Says Nanak, my mid is pleased and appeased with the Lord, and my subservience to other people has come to an end. ||2||8||31|| |

| Gazing upon the Blessed Vision of the Lord's Darshan, my mind is in ecstasy; by Guru's Grace, I am released. ||1||Pause|| |

| ਬਿਖਮ ਥਾਨ ਬਹੁਤ ਬਹੁ ਧਰੀਆ ਅਨਿਕ ਰਾਖ ਸੂਰੂਟਾ ॥ |

| The impregnable place is guarded by countless ramparts and warriors. |

| ਬਿਖਮ ਗਾਰ੍ਹ ਕਰੁ ਪਹੁਚੈ ਨਾਹੀ ਸੰਤ ਸਾਨਥ ਭਏ ਲੂਟਾ ॥੧॥ |
| bikham gaarh kar pahuchai naahee santh saanathh bheae loottaa ||1|| |
| This impregnable fortress cannot be touched, but with the assistance of the Saints, I have entered and robbed it. ||1|| |

| ਬਹੁਤੁ ਖਜਾਨੇ ਮੇਰੈ ਪਾਲੈ ਪਰਿਆ ਅਮੋਲ ਲਾਲ ਆਖੂਟਾ ॥ |
| bahuth khajaanae maerai paalai pariaa amol laal aakhoottaa || |
| I have found such a great treasure, a priceless, inexhaustible supply of jewels. |
