ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਹੁ ਕਾਮਣੀ ਸਚੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਸਮਾਇ ॥ |
har gun gaavahu kaamanee sachai sabadh samaae || |
O brides, sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord, and be absorbed in the True Word of His Shabad. |

ਭੈ ਕਾ ਸਹਜੁ ਸੀਗਾਰੁ ਕਰਿਹੁ ਸਚਿ ਰਹਹੁ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਇ ॥ |
bhai kaa sehaj seegaar karihu sach rehahu liv laae || |
Let the Fear of God be your decoration, and remain lovingly attuned to the True Lord. |

ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੋ ਮਨਿ ਵਸੈ ਹਰਿ ਦਰਗਹ ਲਏ ਛਡਾਇ ॥੫੭॥ |
naanak naamo man vasai har dharageh leae shhaddaae ||57|| |
O Nanak, the Naam abides in the mind, and the mortal is saved in the Court of the Lord. ||57|| |
 |
ਬਾਬੀਹਾ ਸਗਲੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਜੇ ਫਿਰਹਿ ਊਡਿ ਚੜਹਿ ਆਕਾਸਿ ॥ |
baabeehaa sagalee dhharathee jae firehi oodd charrehi aakaas || |
The rainbird wanders all over the earth, soaring high through the skies. |
 |
ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਮਿਲਿਐ ਜਲੁ ਪਾਈਐ ਚੂਕੈ ਭੂਖ ਪਿਆਸ ॥ |
sathigur miliai jal paaeeai chookai bhookh piaas || |
But it obtains the drop of water, only when it meets the True Guru, and then, its hunger and thirst are relieved. |

ਜੀਉ ਪਿੰਡੁ ਸਭੁ ਤਿਸ ਕਾ ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਤਿਸ ਕੈ ਪਾਸਿ ॥ |
jeeo pindd sabh this kaa sabh kishh this kai paas || |
Soul and body and all belong to Him; everything is His. |

ਵਿਣੁ ਬੋਲਿਆ ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਕਿਸੁ ਆਗੈ ਕੀਚੈ ਅਰਦਾਸਿ ॥ |
vin boliaa sabh kishh jaanadhaa kis aagai keechai aradhaas || |
He knows everything, without being told; unto whom should we offer our prayers? |

ਨਾਨਕ ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਏਕੋ ਵਰਤਦਾ ਸਬਦਿ ਕਰੇ ਪਰਗਾਸ ॥੫੮॥ |
naanak ghatt ghatt eaeko varathadhaa sabadh karae paragaas ||58|| |
O Nanak, the One Lord is prevading and permeating each and every heart; the Word of the Shabad brings illumination. ||58|| |

ਨਾਨਕ ਤਿਸੈ ਬਸੰਤੁ ਹੈ ਜਿ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵਿ ਸਮਾਇ ॥ |
naanak thisai basanth hai j sathigur saev samaae || |
O Nanak, the season of spring comes to one who serves the True Guru. |

ਹਰਿ ਵੁਠਾ ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਸਭੁ ਪਰਫੜੈ ਸਭੁ ਜਗੁ ਹਰੀਆਵਲੁ ਹੋਇ ॥੫੯॥ |
har vuthaa man than sabh parafarrai sabh jag hareeaaval hoe ||59|| |
The Lord rains His Mercy down upon him, and his mind and body totally blossom forth; the entire world becomes green and rejuvenated. ||59|| |
 |
ਸਬਦੇ ਸਦਾ ਬਸੰਤੁ ਹੈ ਜਿਤੁ ਤਨੁ ਮਨੁ ਹਰਿਆ ਹੋਇ ॥ |
sabadhae sadhaa basanth hai jith than man hariaa hoe || |
The Word of the Shabad brings eternal spring; it rejuvenates the mind and body. |
 |
ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਨ ਵੀਸਰੈ ਜਿਨਿ ਸਿਰਿਆ ਸਭੁ ਕੋਇ ॥੬੦॥ |
naanak naam n veesarai jin siriaa sabh koe ||60|| |
O Nanak, do not forget the Naam, the Name of the Lord, which has created everyone. ||60|| |

ਨਾਨਕ ਤਿਨਾ ਬਸੰਤੁ ਹੈ ਜਿਨਾ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਵਸਿਆ ਮਨਿ ਸੋਇ ॥ |
naanak thinaa basanth hai jinaa guramukh vasiaa man soe || |
O Nanak, it is the spring season, for those Gurmukhs, within whose minds the Lord abides. |

ਹਰਿ ਵੁਠੈ ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਪਰਫੜੈ ਸਭੁ ਜਗੁ ਹਰਿਆ ਹੋਇ ॥੬੧॥ |
har vuthai man than parafarrai sabh jag hariaa hoe ||61|| |
When the Lord showers His Mercy, the mind and body blossom forth, and all the world turns green and lush. ||61|| |

ਵਡੜੈ ਝਾਲਿ ਝਲੁੰਭਲੈ ਨਾਵੜਾ ਲਈਐ ਕਿਸੁ ॥ |
vaddarrai jhaal jhalunbhalai naavarraa leeai kis || |
In the early hours of the morning, whose name should we chant? |
 |
ਨਾਉ ਲਈਐ ਪਰਮੇਸਰੈ ਭੰਨਣ ਘੜਣ ਸਮਰਥੁ ॥੬੨॥ |
naao leeai paramaesarai bhannan gharran samarathh ||62|| |
Chant the Name of the Transcendent Lord, who is All-powerful to create and destroy. ||62|| |
 |
ਹਰਹਟ ਭੀ ਤੂੰ ਤੂੰ ਕਰਹਿ ਬੋਲਹਿ ਭਲੀ ਬਾਣਿ ॥ |
harehatt bhee thoon thoon karehi bolehi bhalee baan || |
The Persian wheel also cries out, ""Too! Too! You! You!"", with sweet and sublime sounds. |

ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਸਦਾ ਹਦੂਰਿ ਹੈ ਕਿਆ ਉਚੀ ਕਰਹਿ ਪੁਕਾਰ ॥ |
saahib sadhaa hadhoor hai kiaa ouchee karehi pukaar || |
Our Lord and Master is always present; why do you cry out to Him in such a loud voice? |
 |
ਜਿਨਿ ਜਗਤੁ ਉਪਾਇ ਹਰਿ ਰੰਗੁ ਕੀਆ ਤਿਸੈ ਵਿਟਹੁ ਕੁਰਬਾਣੁ ॥ |
jin jagath oupaae har rang keeaa thisai vittahu kurabaan || |
I am a sacrifice to that Lord who created the world, and who loves it. |
 |
ਆਪੁ ਛੋਡਹਿ ਤਾਂ ਸਹੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਸਚਾ ਏਹੁ ਵੀਚਾਰੁ ॥ |
aap shhoddehi thaan sahu milai sachaa eaehu veechaar || |
Give up your selfishness, and then you shall meet your Husband Lord. Consider this Truth. |

ਹਉਮੈ ਫਿਕਾ ਬੋਲਣਾ ਬੁਝਿ ਨ ਸਕਾ ਕਾਰ ॥ |
houmai fikaa bolanaa bujh n sakaa kaar || |
Speaking in shallow egotism, no one understands the Ways of God. |
 |
ਵਣੁ ਤ੍ਰਿਣੁ ਤ੍ਰਿਭਵਣੁ ਤੁਝੈ ਧਿਆਇਦਾ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਸਦਾ ਵਿਹਾਣ ॥ |
van thrin thribhavan thujhai dhhiaaeidhaa anadhin sadhaa vihaan || |
The forests and fields, and all the three worlds meditate on You, O Lord; this is the way they pass their days and nights forever. |
 |
ਨਦਰਿ ਕਰਹਿ ਜੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਤਾਂ ਆਪੇ ਲੈਹਿ ਸਵਾਰਿ ॥ |
nadhar karehi jae aapanee thaan aapae laihi savaar || |
But if the Lord casts His Glance of Grace, then He Himself embellishes us. |

ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਜਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹੀ ਧਿਆਇਆ ਆਏ ਸੇ ਪਰਵਾਣੁ ॥੬੩॥ |
naanak guramukh jinhee dhhiaaeiaa aaeae sae paravaan ||63|| |
O Nanak, the Gurmukhs meditate on the Lord; blessed and approved is their coming into the world. ||63|| |

ਜੋਗੁ ਨ ਭਗਵੀ ਕਪੜੀ ਜੋਗੁ ਨ ਮੈਲੇ ਵੇਸਿ ॥ |
jog n bhagavee kaparree jog n mailae vaes || |
Yoga is not obtained by wearing saffron robes; Yoga is not obtained by wearing dirty robes. |

ਨਾਨਕ ਘਰਿ ਬੈਠਿਆ ਜੋਗੁ ਪਾਈਐ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਉਪਦੇਸਿ ॥੬੪॥ |
naanak ghar baithiaa jog paaeeai sathigur kai oupadhaes ||64|| |
O Nanak, Yoga is obtained even while sitting in your own home, by following the Teachings of the True Guru. ||64|| |

ਚਾਰੇ ਕੁੰਡਾ ਜੇ ਭਵਹਿ ਬੇਦ ਪੜਹਿ ਜੁਗ ਚਾਰਿ ॥ |
chaarae kunddaa jae bhavehi baedh parrehi jug chaar || |
You may wander in all four directions, and read the Vedas throughout the four ages. |

ਨਾਨਕ ਸਾਚਾ ਭੇਟੈ ਹਰਿ ਮਨਿ ਵਸੈ ਪਾਵਹਿ ਮੋਖ ਦੁਆਰ ॥੬੫॥ |
naanak saachaa bhaettai har man vasai paavehi mokh dhuaar ||65|| |
O Nanak, if you meet with the True Guru, the Lord shall come to dwell within your mind, and you shall find the door of salvation. ||65|| |

ਨਾਨਕ ਹੁਕਮੁ ਵਰਤੈ ਖਸਮ ਕਾ ਮਤਿ ਭਵੀ ਫਿਰਹਿ ਚਲ ਚਿਤ ॥ |
naanak hukam varathai khasam kaa math bhavee firehi chal chith || |
O Nanak, the Hukam, the Command of your Lord and Master, is prevailing. The intellectually confused person wanders around lost, misled by his fickle consciousness. |

ਮਨਮੁਖ ਸਉ ਕਰਿ ਦੋਸਤੀ ਸੁਖ ਕਿ ਪੁਛਹਿ ਮਿਤ ॥ |
manamukh so kar dhosathee sukh k pushhehi mith || |
If you make friends with the self-willed manmukhs, O friend, who can you ask for peace? |
 |
ਗੁਰਮੁਖ ਸਉ ਕਰਿ ਦੋਸਤੀ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਸਉ ਲਾਇ ਚਿਤੁ ॥ |
guramukh so kar dhosathee sathigur so laae chith || |
Make friends with the Gurmukhs, and focus your consciousness on the True Guru. |

ਜੰਮਣ ਮਰਣ ਕਾ ਮੂਲੁ ਕਟੀਐ ਤਾਂ ਸੁਖੁ ਹੋਵੀ ਮਿਤ ॥੬੬॥ |
janman maran kaa mool katteeai thaan sukh hovee mith ||66|| |
The root of birth and death will be cut away, and then, you shall find peace, O friend. ||66|| |

ਭੁਲਿਆਂ ਆਪਿ ਸਮਝਾਇਸੀ ਜਾ ਕਉ ਨਦਰਿ ਕਰੇ ॥ |
bhuliaaan aap samajhaaeisee jaa ko nadhar karae || |
The Lord Himself instructs those who are misguided, when He casts His Glance of Grace. |

ਨਾਨਕ ਨਦਰੀ ਬਾਹਰੀ ਕਰਣ ਪਲਾਹ ਕਰੇ ॥੬੭॥ |
naanak nadharee baaharee karan palaah karae ||67|| |
O Nanak, those who are not blessed by His Glance of Grace, cry and weep and wail. ||67|| |

ਵਡਭਾਗੀਆ ਸੋਹਾਗਣੀ ਜਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹਾ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਇ ॥ |
vaddabhaageeaa sohaaganee jinhaa guramukh miliaa har raae || |
Blessed and very fortunate are those happy soul-brides who, as Gurmukh, meet their Sovereign Lord King. |

ਅੰਤਰਿ ਜੋਤਿ ਪਰਗਾਸੀਆ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮਿ ਸਮਾਇ ॥੧॥ |
anthar joth paragaaseeaa naanak naam samaae ||1|| |
The Light of God shines within them; O Nanak, they are absorbed in the Naam, the Name of the Lord. ||1|| |

ਵਾਹੁ ਵਾਹੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਹੈ ਜਿਨਿ ਸਚੁ ਜਾਤਾ ਸੋਇ ॥ |
vaahu vaahu sathigur purakh hai jin sach jaathaa soe || |
Waaho! Waaho! Blessed and Great is the True Guru, the Primal Being, who has realized the True Lord. |

ਜਿਤੁ ਮਿਲਿਐ ਤਿਖ ਉਤਰੈ ਤਨੁ ਮਨੁ ਸੀਤਲੁ ਹੋਇ ॥ |
jith miliai thikh outharai than man seethal hoe || |
Meeting Him, thirst is quenched, and the body and mind are cooled and soothed. |
 |
ਵਾਹੁ ਵਾਹੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਸਤਿ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਸਮਤੁ ਸਭ ਕੋਇ ॥ |
vaahu vaahu sathigur sath purakh hai jis no samath sabh koe || |
Waaho! Waaho! Blessed and Great is the True Guru, the True Primal Being, who looks upon all alike. |

ਵਾਹੁ ਵਾਹੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਨਿਰਵੈਰੁ ਹੈ ਜਿਸੁ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਉਸਤਤਿ ਤੁਲਿ ਹੋਇ ॥ |
vaahu vaahu sathigur niravair hai jis nindhaa ousathath thul hoe || |
Waaho! Waaho! Blessed and Great is the True Guru, who has no hatred; slander and praise are all the same to Him. |

ਵਾਹੁ ਵਾਹੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਸੁਜਾਣੁ ਹੈ ਜਿਸੁ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਵੀਚਾਰੁ ॥ |
vaahu vaahu sathigur sujaan hai jis anthar breham veechaar || |
Waaho! Waaho! Blessed and Great is the All-knowing True Guru, who has realized God within. |

ਵਾਹੁ ਵਾਹੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਨਿਰੰਕਾਰੁ ਹੈ ਜਿਸੁ ਅੰਤੁ ਨ ਪਾਰਾਵਾਰੁ ॥ |
vaahu vaahu sathigur nirankaar hai jis anth n paaraavaar || |
Waaho! Waaho! Blessed and Great is the Formless True Guru, who has no end or limitation. |

ਵਾਹੁ ਵਾਹੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਹੈ ਜਿ ਸਚੁ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਾਏ ਸੋਇ ॥ |
vaahu vaahu sathiguroo hai j sach dhrirraaeae soe || |
Waaho! Waaho! Blessed and Great is the True Guru, who implants the Truth within. |

ਨਾਨਕ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਵਾਹੁ ਵਾਹੁ ਜਿਸ ਤੇ ਨਾਮੁ ਪਰਾਪਤਿ ਹੋਇ ॥੨॥ |
naanak sathigur vaahu vaahu jis thae naam paraapath hoe ||2|| |
O Nanak, Blessed and Great is the True Guru, through whom the Naam, the Name of the Lord, is received. ||2|| |

ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਚਾ ਸੋਹਿਲਾ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਗੋਵਿੰਦੁ ॥ |
har prabh sachaa sohilaa guramukh naam govindh || |
For the Gurmukh, the true Song of Praise is to chant the Name of the Lord God. |

ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਲਾਹਣਾ ਹਰਿ ਜਪਿਆ ਮਨਿ ਆਨੰਦੁ ॥ |
anadhin naam salaahanaa har japiaa man aanandh || |
Chanting the Praises of the Lord, their minds are in ecstasy. |
 |
ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਇਆ ਪੂਰਨ ਪਰਮਾਨੰਦੁ ॥ |
vaddabhaagee har paaeiaa pooran paramaanandh || |
By great good fortune, they find the Lord, the Embodiment of perfect, supreme bliss. |

ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਲਾਹਿਆ ਬਹੁੜਿ ਨ ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ ਭੰਗੁ ॥੩॥ |
jan naanak naam salaahiaa bahurr n man than bhang ||3|| |
Servant Nanak praises the Naam, the Name of the Lord; no obstacle will block his mind or body. ||3|| |
