| Those whom You Yourself have led astray, forget You. |

| ਆਪਿ ਤਰੈ ਸਗਲੇ ਕੁਲ ਉਧਾਰਾ ॥੩॥ |
| aap tharai sagalae kul oudhhaaraa ||3|| |
| They save themselves, and save all their family and ancestors as well. ||3|| |

| ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਜਪਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਸਾਰੰਗਪਾਣੀ ॥ |
| anadhin japehi har saarangapaanee || |
| Night and day, they meditate on the Lord, the Sustainer of the Earth. |

| ਆਪਿ ਨਿਰੰਜਨੁ ਅਲਖੁ ਹੈ ਆਪੇ ਮੇਲਾਈਐ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ |

| The Immaculate Lord Himself is unseen. He unites us with Himself. ||1||Pause|| |

| O my mind, vibrate and meditate on the Name of the Lord. You shall cross over the terrifying world-ocean. ||1||Pause|| |

| thio har jan preeth har raakhadhaa dhae aap hathhaasaa ||1|| |
| In just the same way, the humble servant of the Lord loves the Lord, who extends His Helping Hand to us. ||1|| |

| ਜੋ ਗੁਣ ਸਾਝੀ ਗੁਰ ਸਿਉ ਕਰੇ ਨਿਤ ਨਿਤ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਈ ॥੩॥ |
| jo gun saajhee gur sio karae nith nith sukh paaee ||3|| |
| One who is worthy, becomes a partner with the Guru, and finds a lasting peace forever. ||3|| |

| ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਹਾਟਿ ਵਿਹਾਝਿਆ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਲਮ ਗੁਲਾਮੀ ॥੪॥੬॥੧੨॥੫੦॥ |
| jan naanak haatt vihaajhiaa har gulam gulaamee ||4||6||12||50|| |
| Servant Nanak was purchased in the slave-market. He is the slave of the Lord's slaves. ||4||6||12||50|| |

| har har roop sabh joth sabaaee har nikatt vasai har kolee ||2|| |
| The Beauty and the Light of the Lord, Har, Har, is present in all. In all places, the Lord dwells near by, close at hand. ||2|| |

| ਜਿਤਨੇ ਰਸ ਅਨ ਰਸ ਹਮ ਦੇਖੇ ਸਭ ਤਿਤਨੇ ਫੀਕ ਫੀਕਾਨੇ ॥ |
| jithanae ras an ras ham dhaekhae sabh thithanae feek feekaanae || |
| All the pleasures and enjoyments which I have seen - I have found them all to be bland and insipid. |

| ਇਹੁ ਮਨੂਆ ਖਿਨੁ ਨ ਟਿਕੈ ਬਹੁ ਰੰਗੀ ਦਹ ਦਹ ਦਿਸਿ ਚਲਿ ਚਲਿ ਹਾਢੇ ॥ |
| eihu manooaa khin n ttikai bahu rangee dheh dheh dhis chal chal haadtae || |
| This mind does not hold still, even for an instant. Distracted by all sorts of distractions, it wanders around aimlessly in the ten directions. |

| ਰਾਮ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਗੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ |

| santhokh pithaa kar gur purakh ajanamaa || |
| Let contentment be your father; the Guru is the Primal Being, beyond birth or incarnation. |

| ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਬਹੁਤੁ ਬੈਰਾਗਿਆ ਮੇਰੇ ਗੋਵਿੰਦਾ ਹਰਿ ਬਾਝਹੁ ਧਨ ਕੁਮਲੈਣੀ ਜੀਉ ॥ |
| maeraa man than bahuth bairaagiaa maerae govindhaa har baajhahu dhhan kumalainee jeeo || |
| My mind and body are sad and depressed, O my Lord of the Universe; without her Husband Lord, the soul-bride is withering away. |

| ਆਪੇ ਸਰਣਿ ਪਵਾਇਦਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਗੋਵਿੰਦਾ ਹਰਿ ਭਗਤ ਜਨਾ ਰਾਖੁ ਲਾਜੈ ਜੀਉ ॥ |
| aapae saran pavaaeidhaa maerae govindhaa har bhagath janaa raakh laajai jeeo || |
| He Himself leads us to enter His Sanctuary, O my Lord of the Universe; the Lord preserves the honor of His devotees. |

| ਝੂਠੇ ਲਾਲਚਿ ਜਨਮੁ ਗਵਾਇਆ ॥੧॥ |
| jhoothae laalach janam gavaaeiaa ||1|| |
| In fraud and greed, this human life is being wasted. ||1|| |

| The treasure of all happiness, celestial peace and poise, |

| Meditating on the Lord, I have found eternal peace. |

| Working for the Lord of the Universe, the body becomes fruitful. |
