| jo kishh karai bhalaa kar maano sehaj jog nidhh paavo ||1|| |
| Whatever the Lord does, look upon that as good; thus you shall obtain the treasure of Sehj Yoga. ||1|| |

| ਖਟੁ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਵਰਤੈ ਵਰਤਾਰਾ ॥ |
| khatt dharasan varathai varathaaraa || |
| The six systems of philosophy are pervasive, |
|
| ਤਿਨ ਕੈ ਹਮ ਸਦ ਲਾਗਹ ਪਾਇ ॥੧॥ |
| thin kai ham sadh laageh paae ||1|| |
| I fall at their feet forever and ever. ||1|| |
|
| ਲਾਲੈ ਆਪਣੀ ਜਾਤਿ ਗਵਾਈ ॥ |
| laalai aapanee jaath gavaaee || |
| The Lord's slave sets aside his own social status. |
|
| ਪੂਰੈ ਭਾਗਿ ਗੁਰ ਸੇਵਾ ਹੋਇ ॥ |
| poorai bhaag gur saevaa hoe || |
| Through perfect good destiny, one serves the Guru. |
|
| ਪਾਖੰਡਿ ਭਗਤਿ ਨਿਰਤਿ ਦੁਖੁ ਹੋਇ ॥੩॥ |
| paakhandd bhagath nirath dhukh hoe ||3|| |
| But the dances and the worship of the hypocrites bring only pain. ||3|| |

| ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਪਰਗਟੁ ਹੋਇ ॥੪॥੧॥੫੩॥ |
| jan naanak guramukh paragatt hoe ||4||1||53|| |
| O servant Nanak, the Lord is revealed to the Gurmukh. ||4||1||53|| |

| ਨਾਮ ਬਿਨਾ ਧ੍ਰਿਗੁ ਧ੍ਰਿਗੁ ਜੀਵਾਇਆ ॥੩॥ |
| naam binaa dhhrig dhhrig jeevaaeiaa ||3|| |
| Without the Naam, cursed, cursed are their lives. ||3|| |

| ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਗੀ ॥੪॥੮॥੬੦॥ |
| naanak guramath naam liv laagee ||4||8||60|| |
| O Nanak, through the Guru's Teachings, one embraces love for the Naam. ||4||8||60|| |

| ਭਗਤਿ ਭੰਡਾਰ ਦੀਏ ਹਰਿ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਹਕੁ ਵਣਜਿ ਲੈ ਜਾਇ ॥੪॥੧੧॥੬੩॥ |
| bhagath bhanddaar dheeeae har apunae gun gaahak vanaj lai jaae ||4||11||63|| |
| The Lord Himself has bestowed the treasure of devotional love; His customers purchase virtues, and carry them home. ||4||11||63|| |

| jaisae al kamalaa bin rehi n sakai thaisae mohi har bin rehan n jaaee ||1|| |
| As the bumblebee cannot live without the lotus, I cannot live without the Lord. ||1|| |

| ਸੁਕਰਣੀ ਕਾਮਣਿ ਗੁਰ ਮਿਲਿ ਹਮ ਪਾਈ ॥ |
| sukaranee kaaman gur mil ham paaee || |
| As the soul-bride of pure actions, I have met with the Guru. |

| ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਰਾਖੀ ਪੈਜ ਵਜੀ ਵਾਧਾਈ ॥੪॥੫॥ |
| prabh raakhee paij vajee vaadhhaaee ||4||5|| |
| God has preserved his honor, and congratulations are pouring in. ||4||5|| |

| eik pal dhinas mo ko kabahu n bihaavai || |
| I cannot endure one day, even one instant without Him. |

| ਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਕੋ ਵਿਰਲਾ ਜਾਗੇ ॥੩॥ |
| gur prasaadh ko viralaa jaagae ||3|| |
| By Guru's Grace, a rare few remain awake and aware. ||3|| |
|
| ਰਵਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸਭ ਕੈ ਸਾਥਿ ॥੩॥ |
| rav rehiaa prabh sabh kai saathh ||3|| |
| God is pervading in all, and is always with them. ||3|| |

| ਜੋ ਇਹੁ ਮੰਤ੍ਰੁ ਕਮਾਵੈ ਨਾਨਕ ਸੋ ਭਉਜਲੁ ਪਾਰਿ ਉਤਾਰੀ ॥੩॥੨੮॥ |
| jo eihu manthra kamaavai naanak so bhoujal paar outhaaree ||3||28|| |
| One who practices this Mantra, O Nanak, swims across the terrifying world-ocean. ||3||28|| |

| ਜਾ ਕਾ ਹਰਿ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਬੇਲੀ ॥ |
| jaa kaa har suaamee prabh baelee || |
| She who has the Lord God as her Friend |
|
| ਮਹਾ ਬਚਿਤ੍ਰ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਆਖਾੜੇ ਰਣ ਮਹਿ ਜਿਤੇ ਪਵਾੜੇ ॥ |
| mehaa bachithr sundhar aakhaarrae ran mehi jithae pavaarrae || |
| He may have the most wondrous and beautiful arenas, and be victorious on the field of battle. |

| ਤਹਾ ਬਿਗੂਤਾ ਜਹ ਕੋਇ ਨ ਰਾਖੈ ਓਹੁ ਕਿਸੁ ਪਹਿ ਕਰੇ ਪੁਕਾਰਾ ॥੨॥ |
| thehaa bigoothaa jeh koe n raakhai ouhu kis pehi karae pukaaraa ||2|| |
| He is ruined there, where no one can protect him; with whom should he lodge his complaint? ||2|| |

| ਮਾਲਿ ਦੁਲੀਚੈ ਬੈਠੀ ਲੇ ਮਿਰਤਕੁ ਨੈਨ ਦਿਖਾਲਨੁ ਧਾਇਆ ਰੇ ॥੩॥ |
| maal dhuleechai baithee lae mirathak nain dhikhaalan dhhaaeiaa rae ||3|| |
| The dead sit on costly carpets, and what is seen with the eyes shall vanish. ||3|| |

| ਧੰਨੁ ਸੁ ਕਲਿਜੁਗੁ ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਕੀਰਤਨੁ ਗਾਈਐ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਅਧਾਰੁ ਹੀਓ ॥੪॥੮॥੪੭॥ |
| dhhann s kalijug saadhhasang keerathan gaaeeai naanak naam adhhaar heeou ||4||8||47|| |
| Blessed, in this Dark Age of Kali Yuga, is the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, where the Kirtan of the Lord's Praises are sung.O Nanak, the Naam is my only Support. ||4||8||47|| |

| The great enticer does not affect you. Where has your laziness gone? ||1||Pause|| |

| Servant Nanak has found the Perfect Guru. |

| ਸਗਲ ਸੂਖ ਜਾਂ ਤੂੰ ਚਿਤਿ ਆਂਵੈਂ ॥ |

| There is total peace, when You come into my mind. |

| ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਮ੍ਹ੍ਹਾਰਉ ॥੧॥ |
| sadhaa sadhaa har naam samhaaro ||1|| |
| Forever and ever, I contemplate the Naam, the Name of the Lord. ||1|| |

| ਉਕਤਿ ਸਿਆਨਪ ਕਿਛੂ ਨ ਜਾਨਾ ॥ |
| oukath siaanap kishhoo n jaanaa || |
| I know nothing of arguments or cleverness. |

| ਈਹਾ ਸੁਖੁ ਆਗੈ ਗਤਿ ਪਾਈ ॥੪॥੨੨॥੭੩॥ |
| eehaa sukh aagai gath paaee ||4||22||73|| |
| obtains peace in this world, and salvation in the world hereafter. ||4||22||73|| |

| My search has ended, and my mind is absorbed in celestial bliss. |

| oppressing the people, he gathers wealth. |

| ਮਹਾ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਸਾਧ ਕਾ ਸੰਗੁ ॥ |
| mehaa pavithr saadhh kaa sang || |
| The Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, is so very pure and sacred. |

| ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦਿ ਸਹਜ ਘਰੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਮਿਟਿਆ ਅੰਧੇਰਾ ਚੰਦੁ ਚੜਿਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ |
| gur parasaadh sehaj ghar paaeiaa mittiaa andhhaeraa chandh charriaa ||1|| rehaao || |
| By Guru's Grace, I have entered the home of celestial bliss. Darkness is dispelled, and the moon of wisdom has risen. ||1||Pause|| |

| ਸੰਤ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤਾਸੇ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਧ੍ਯ੍ਯਾਇ ॥ |
| santh thripathaasae har har dhhyaae || |
| The Saints are satisfied, meditating on the Lord, Har, Har. |
|
| ਸਗਲ ਤਿਆਗਿ ਪਾਈ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਰਨਾ ॥ |
| sagal thiaag paaee prabh saranaa || |
| Forsaking everything, I have obtained God's Sanctuary. |
|
| ਭਾਗਠੁ ਸਚਾ ਸੋਇ ਹੈ ਜਿਸੁ ਹਰਿ ਧਨੁ ਅੰਤਰਿ ॥ |
| bhaagath sachaa soe hai jis har dhhan anthar || |
| How very fortunate are those who have the wealth of the Lord deep within the heart. |
|
| ਜਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਮਨਿ ਵੁਠਾ ਆਪਿ ਪੂਰੇ ਭਗਤ ਸੇ ॥੨॥ |
| jinh man vuthaa aap poorae bhagath sae ||2|| |
| Those, in whose minds You Yourself dwell, O Lord, are the perfect devotees. ||2|| |

| ਰਾਖਨਹਾਰੁ ਅਪਾਰੁ ਰਾਖੈ ਅਗਨਿ ਮਾਹਿ ॥ |
| raakhanehaar apaar raakhai agan maahi || |
| The Savior Lord is infinite; He saves us from the fire of the womb. |

| ਦੂਜਾ ਨਾਹੀ ਅਉਰੁ ਕੋ ਤਾ ਕਾ ਭਉ ਕਰੀਐ ॥ |
| dhoojaa naahee aour ko thaa kaa bho kareeai || |
| There is no other whom I should fear. |
|
| ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ ਗੁਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਦ ਸਦ ਬਲਿ ਜਾਉ ॥ |
| balihaaree gur aapanae sadh sadh bal jaao || |
| I am a sacrifice to my Guru; forever and ever, I am a sacrifice to Him. |

| ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਤੂੰ ਅਸਥਿਰੁ ਕਰਿ ਮਾਨਹਿ ਤੇ ਪਾਹੁਨ ਦੋ ਦਾਹਾ ॥ |
| jis no thoon asathhir kar maanehi thae paahun dho dhaahaa || |
| That which you believe to be permanent, is a guest here for only a few days. |

| ਮੇਰੀ ਮੇਰੀ ਕਰਤ ਦਿਨੁ ਰੈਨਿ ਬਿਹਾਵੈ ਪਲੁ ਖਿਨੁ ਛੀਜੈ ਅਰਜਾਧੇ ॥ |
| maeree maeree karath dhin rain bihaavai pal khin shheejai arajaadhhae || |
| Crying out, ""Mine, mine"", your days and nights pass away; moment by moment, your life is running out. |

| ਅਨਿਕ ਜੋਨਿ ਭ੍ਰਮਿਓ ਭ੍ਰਮ ਭੀਤਰਿ ਸੁਖਹਿ ਨਾਹੀ ਪਰਵੇਸਾ ਰੇ ॥੧॥ |
| anik jon bhramiou bhram bheethar sukhehi naahee paravaesaa rae ||1|| |
| The soul wanders through countless incarnations in doubt, but it does not come to dwell in peace. ||1|| |

| ਹਂਉ ਹਉਰੋ ਤੂ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਗਉਰੋ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਰਨਿ ਪਛਾਨੀ ॥੩॥੬॥੧੩੫॥ |

| I am so small, and You are so great, O Lord and Master; Nanak seeks Your Sanctuary. ||3||6||135|| |

| Imperial power, fortunes, royal command and mansions |
|
| ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਭਗਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਰਚੈ ॥੧॥ |
| har praem bhagath har preeth rachai ||1|| |
| He remains absorbed in the loving devotional worship of the Lord, in the Love of the Lord. ||1|| |
