ਝੂਠਿ ਵਿਗੁਤੀ ਤਾ ਪਿਰ ਮੁਤੀ ਕੁਕਹ ਕਾਹ ਸਿ ਫੁਲੇ ॥ |
jhooth viguthee thaa pir muthee kukeh kaah s fulae || |
If she is plundered by falsehood, then her Beloved forsakes her. Then, the white flowers of old age blossom in my hair. |

ਘਰਿ ਸੇਜ ਸੁਹਾਵੀ ਜਾ ਪਿਰਿ ਰਾਵੀ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਮਸਤਕਿ ਭਾਗੋ ॥ |
ghar saej suhaavee jaa pir raavee guramukh masathak bhaago || |
The bed of my heart becomes beautiful, when my Husband Lord ravishes me. As Gurmukh, the destiny on my forehead has been awakened and activated. |

ਅੰਤਰਿ ਜੋਤਿ ਭਈ ਗੁਰ ਸਾਖੀ ਚੀਨੇ ਰਾਮ ਕਰੰਮਾ ॥ |
anthar joth bhee gur saakhee cheenae raam karanmaa || |
His inner being is illuminated, by the Guru's Teachings; He beholds the Lord's play of karma. |

ਮਹਲਿ ਬੁਲਾਇੜੀਏ ਬਿਲਮੁ ਨ ਕੀਜੈ ॥ |
mehal bulaaeirreeeae bilam n keejai || |
The Lord has called you to the Mansion of His Presence - do not delay! |

ਏ ਮਨ ਮੇਰਿਆ ਹਰਿ ਸੇਵਹੁ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਨਿਰਾਲਾ ਰਾਮ ॥ |
eae man maeriaa har saevahu purakh niraalaa raam || |
O my mind, serve the Lord, the Primal, Detached Lord. |

ਜਬ ਦੇਖਾਂ ਪਿਰੁ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਰਸਿ ਰਵਾ ਰਾਮ ॥ |
jab dhaekhaan pir piaaraa har gun ras ravaa raam || |
When I see my Beloved Husband Lord, I chant the Lord's Glorious Praises with love. |

ਤਿਨ ਕੇ ਪਾਪ ਦੋਖ ਸਭਿ ਬਿਨਸੇ ਜਿਨ ਮਨਿ ਚਿਤਿ ਇਕੁ ਅਰਾਧਿਆ ॥ |
thin kae paap dhokh sabh binasae jin man chith eik araadhhiaa || |
All their sin and blame is washed away. They worship and adore the One Lord with their conscious minds. |

ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਟਿਕਹਿ ਤਿਸ ਕੈ ਜਿਸੁ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਭਉ ਭਾਵਨੀ ਹੋਈ ॥ |
har gun hiradhai ttikehi this kai jis anthar bho bhaavanee hoee || |
The Glorious Virtues of the Lord dwell in the heart of that person, whose inner being is filled with the Fear of God, and His Love. |

ਭਾਈ ਹਮ ਕਰਹ ਕਿਆ ਕਿਸੁ ਪਾਸਿ ਮਾਂਗਹ ਸਭ ਭਾਗਿ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪਿਛੈ ਪਈ ॥ |
bhaaee ham kareh kiaa kis paas maangeh sabh bhaag sathigur pishhai pee || |
They said, ""O brothers, what should we do? Who should we ask? Everyone is running after the True Guru."" |

ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਸੁ ਤਾ ਕੈ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ ਮਿਲੈ ਨਾਮੁ ਹਰਿ ਨਿਮਕਾ ॥੪॥੧॥੧੧॥ |
naanak dhaas thaa kai balihaaree milai naam har nimakaa ||4||1||11|| |
Slave Nanak is a sacrifice to the one who blesses him with the Lord's Name, even for an instant. ||4||1||11|| |

ਮਿਲਿ ਸਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਕੀਜੈ ਹਰਿ ਗੋਸਟਿ ਸਾਧੂ ਸਿਉ ਗੋਸਟਿ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਰਸਾਇਣੁ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਰਸਾਇਣੁ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਰਾਮ ਰਮਹੁ ਰੇ ॥੧॥ |
mil sathasangath keejai har gosatt saadhhoo sio gosatt har praem rasaaein raam naam rasaaein har raam naam raam ramahu rae ||1|| |
Join the Sat Sangat, the True Congregation, and speak with the Holy People about the Lord. The Love of the Lord is the healing remedy; the Name of the Lord is the healing remedy. Chant the Name of the Lord, Raam, Raam. ||1|| |

ਕਰਉ ਸੇਵਾ ਸਤ ਪੁਰਖ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਜਤ ਸੁਨੀਐ ਤਤ ਮਨਿ ਰਹਸਾਉ ॥ |
karo saevaa sath purakh piaarae jath suneeai thath man rehasaao || |
I serve my True Beloved Lord. Wherever I hear His Praise, there my mind is in ecstasy. |

ਬੂੰਦ ਕਹਾ ਤਿਆਗਿ ਚਾਤ੍ਰਿਕ ਮੀਨ ਰਹਤ ਨ ਘਰੀ ॥ |
boondh kehaa thiaag chaathrik meen rehath n gharee || |
How can the rainbird forsake the rain-drop? The fish cannot survive without water, even for an instant. |

kar gehi leenae naanak dhaas apanae raam naam our haarae ||4||1|| |
Taking him by the hand, the Lord has saved Nanak, His slave; He has woven the garland of His Name into his heart. ||4||1|| |

ਫੂਟੀ ਆਖੈ ਕਛੂ ਨ ਸੂਝੈ ਬੂਡਿ ਮੂਏ ਬਿਨੁ ਪਾਨੀ ॥੧॥ |
foottee aakhai kashhoo n soojhai boodd mooeae bin paanee ||1|| |
Your eyes are blinded, and you see nothing at all. You drown and die without water. ||1|| |

ਐਸੇ ਦੁਰਮਤਿ ਨਿਸਤਰੇ ਤੂ ਕਿਉ ਨ ਤਰਹਿ ਰਵਿਦਾਸ ॥੩॥੧॥ |
aisae dhuramath nisatharae thoo kio n tharehi ravidhaas ||3||1|| |
Even such evil-minded beings were emancipated. Why should you not also be saved, O Ravi Daas? ||3||1|| |

ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਹਰਿ ਜਪਿ ਜਨਮੁ ਗਇਓ ॥ |
praanee har jap janam gaeiou || |
O mortal, meditate on the Lord - your life is passing away! |

ਘਟ ਘਟ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਸਰਬ ਨਿਰੰਤਰਿ ਰਵਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਸਚੁ ਵੇਸੋ ॥੨॥ |
ghatt ghatt anthar sarab niranthar rav rehiaa sach vaeso ||2|| |
Deep within each and every heart, and amidst all, the Embodiment of Truth is permeating and pervading. ||2|| |

ਜਾਤਿ ਕਾ ਗਰਬੁ ਨ ਕਰਿ ਮੂਰਖ ਗਵਾਰਾ ॥ |
jaath kaa garab n kar moorakh gavaaraa || |
Do not be proud of your social class and status, you ignorant fool! |

ਮਨ ਕੈ ਵੀਚਾਰਿ ਹੁਕਮੁ ਬੁਝਿ ਸਮਾਣਾ ॥੩॥ |
man kai veechaar hukam bujh samaanaa ||3|| |
By mental contemplation, the mortal realizes the Hukam of the Lord's Command, and merges in Him. ||3|| |

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮਿ ਚਿਤੁ ਲਾਇਆ ॥੨॥ |
guramukh raam naam chith laaeiaa ||2|| |
The Gurmukh centers his consciousness on the Lord's Name. ||2|| |

ਗੁਰ ਕਾ ਸਬਦੁ ਸਭਿ ਰੋਗ ਗਵਾਏ ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਲਾਏ ॥ |
gur kaa sabadh sabh rog gavaaeae jis no har jeeo laaeae || |
The Word of the Guru's Shabad cures all diseases; he alone is attached to it, whom the Dear Lord attaches. |

ਮੇਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਹੈ ਗੁਣ ਕਾ ਦਾਤਾ ਅਵਗਣ ਸਬਦਿ ਜਲਾਏ ॥ |
maeraa prabh hai gun kaa dhaathaa avagan sabadh jalaaeae || |
My Lord God is the Giver of virtue. The Word of the Shabad burns away all faults and demerits. |

ਆਪੇ ਕਰਤਾ ਕਰੇ ਕਰਾਏ ਆਪੇ ਮਾਰਗਿ ਪਾਏ ॥ |
aapae karathaa karae karaaeae aapae maarag paaeae || |
The Creator Himself acts, and causes all to act. He Himself places us on the path. |

ਹਰਿ ਜਨ ਸੰਤ ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਪਗਿ ਲਾਇਣੁ ॥ |
har jan santh kar kirapaa pag laaein || |
The Lord, in His Mercy, attaches mortals to the feet of the Saints. |

ਮਸਤਕਿ ਭਾਗੁ ਹੋਵੈ ਜਿਸੁ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਸੋ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਮ੍ਹ੍ਹਾਰਿ ॥੧॥ |
masathak bhaag hovai jis likhiaa so guramath hiradhai har naam samhaar ||1|| |
One who has such destiny inscribed on his forehead, follows the Guru's Teachings, and contemplates the Name of the Lord within his heart. ||1|| |

ਨਾਨਕ ਜਨਿ ਪਾਇਆ ਮਤਿ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਜਪਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਪਾਰਿ ਪਵਣੇ ॥੪॥੩॥੭॥ |
naanak jan paaeiaa math guramath jap har har paar pavanae ||4||3||7|| |
Servant Nanak has obained the wisdom of the Guru's Teachings; meditating on the Lord, Har, Har, he crosses over to the other side. ||4||3||7|| |

ਨਹ ਭੀਗੈ ਅਧਿਕ ਸੂਕਾਇਆ ॥੨॥ |
neh bheegai adhhik sookaaeiaa ||2|| |
Even so, they do not absorb the water; they remain hard and dry. ||2|| |

ਨਗਜ ਤੇਰੇ ਬੰਦੇ ਦੀਦਾਰੁ ਅਪਾਰੁ ॥ |
nagaj thaerae bandhae dheedhaar apaar || |
The glorious vision of Your slaves, O Infinite Lord, is wonderful and beauteous. |

ਜੀਉ ਪਿੰਡੁ ਤਨੁ ਧਨੁ ਸਭੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਾ ਸਾਕਤ ਕਹਤੇ ਮੇਰਾ ॥ |
jeeo pindd than dhhan sabh prabh kaa saakath kehathae maeraa || |
Soul, life, body and wealth all belong to God, but the faithless cynics claim that they own them. |

ਜਿਸੁ ਊਪਰਿ ਨਦਰਿ ਕਰੇ ਕਰਤਾਰੁ ॥ |
jis oopar nadhar karae karathaar || |
That person who is blessed by the Creator's Glance of Grace |
 |
ਰੋਗੇ ਫਿਰਿ ਫਿਰਿ ਜੋਨੀ ਭਰਮੈ ॥ |
rogae fir fir jonee bharamai || |
In disease they wander in reincarnation again and again. |
 |
ਚਿੰਤ ਗਈ ਲਗਿ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪਾਏ ॥੩॥ |
chinth gee lag sathigur paaeae ||3|| |
Grasping hold of the Guru's feet, my anxiety is dispelled. ||3|| |

ਖਿਨ ਮਹਿ ਨਿਮਾਣੇ ਕਉ ਦੀਨੋ ਮਾਨੁ ॥੩॥ |
khin mehi nimaanae ko dheeno maan ||3|| |
In an instant, He bestows honor on the dishonored. ||3|| |
 |
ਹਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਣੁ ਸਾਚਾ ਬੀਚਾਰੁ ॥ |
har simaran saachaa beechaar || |
Meditate in remembrance on the Lord, and contemplate the Truth. |
 |
ਜਿਸ ਕੀ ਓਟ ਤਿਸੈ ਕੀ ਆਸਾ ॥ |
jis kee outt thisai kee aasaa || |
He is my Anchor and Support; I place my hopes in Him. |
 |
ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਜਿਸੁ ਦੇਵੈ ਨਾਉ ॥੪॥੨੨॥੩੫॥ |
saadhhasang jis dhaevai naao ||4||22||35|| |
In the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, the Lord bestows His Name. ||4||22||35|| |

ਇਹੁ ਜਗੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਸਭ ਤੁਝਹਿ ਧਿਆਏ ॥ |
eihu jag thaeraa sabh thujhehi dhhiaaeae || |
All this world is Yours; it meditates on You. |

ਗੁਰ ਮਿਲਿ ਤਿਆਗਿਓ ਦੂਜਾ ਭਾਉ ॥ |
gur mil thiaagiou dhoojaa bhaao || |
Meeting with the Guru, I have forsaken the love of duality. |
 |
ਹਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਨੁ ਛਾਡਿ ਪਰਮ ਗਤਿ ਚਾਹੈ ॥ |
har simaran shhaadd param gath chaahai || |
The mortal abandons meditative remembrance of the Lord, and then wishes for the state of supreme salvation; |

ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਰਾਤਾ ਰਾਮ ਰੰਗਿ ਚਰਣੇ ॥ |
man than raathaa raam rang charanae || |
My mind and body are imbued with the Love of the Lord's Feet. |

ਅਸਥਿਤਿ ਭਏ ਬਿਨਸੀ ਸਭ ਚਿੰਦ ॥ |
asathhith bheae binasee sabh chindh || |
They become stable and permanent, and all their anxiety is gone. |
 |
ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਪਰਮੇਸਰਿ ਜਨ ਰਾਖੇ ਨਿੰਦਕ ਕੈ ਸਿਰਿ ਕੜਕਿਓ ਕਾਲੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ |
paarabreham paramaesar jan raakhae nindhak kai sir karrakiou kaal ||1|| rehaao || |
The Supreme Lord God, the Transcendent Lord, protects and saves His humble servant. Death roars and thunders over the head of the slanderer. ||1||Pause|| |

naanak har jan anadhin niramal jin ko karam neesaan paeiaa ||9||1|| |
O Nanak, the humble servant of the Lord is immaculate, night and day; he bears the insignia of the Lord's Grace. ||9||1|| |

ਲਖਿਮੀ ਭਉ ਕਰੈ ਨ ਸਾਕੈ ਜਾਇ ॥ |
lakhimee bho karai n saakai jaae || |
Lakshmi was afraid, and did not approach. |

ਜਿਸੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਰਿਦੈ ਤਿਸੁ ਸਹਜ ਸੁਖੈਨਾ ॥ |
jis naam ridhai this sehaj sukhainaa || |
One who keeps the Naam in his heart, enjoys peace and poise. |

ਕੋਟਿ ਤਪੀਸਰ ਤਪ ਹੀ ਕਰਤੇ ॥ |
kott thapeesar thap hee karathae || |
Millions of austere penitents practice austerities. |
 |
ਕੋਇ ਨ ਰਹਿਹੈ ਰਾਜਾ ਰਾਨਾ ॥੧॥ |
koe n rehihai raajaa raanaa ||1|| |
No one, not even the kings and queens, shall remain. ||1|| |
