| harihaan jaa ghar aaeiaa kanth th sabh kishh paaeeaa ||4|| |
| O Lord! When my Husband came into the home of my heart, I obtained everything. ||4|| |

| ਅੰਗ ਸੰਗ ਉਰਝਾਇ ਬਿਸਰਤੇ ਸੁੰਫਿਆ ॥ |
| ang sang ourajhaae bisarathae sunfiaa || |
| With its limbs entangled in the petals, it loses its senses. |

| ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਮਨੁ ਬੇਧਿਓ ਬੂਝਨੁ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਸੰਜੋਗ ॥੨॥ |

| My mind is pierced through by the Lotus Feet of the Lord. He is realized when one's intuitive consciousness is attuned to Him. ||2|| |

| ਕਬੀਰ ਰਾਤੀ ਹੋਵਹਿ ਕਾਰੀਆ ਕਾਰੇ ਊਭੇ ਜੰਤ ॥ |
| kabeer raathee hovehi kaareeaa kaarae oobhae janth || |
| Kabeer, the night is dark, and men go about doing their dark deeds. |

| ਕਬੀਰ ਮਰਤਾ ਮਰਤਾ ਜਗੁ ਮੂਆ ਮਰਿ ਭੀ ਨ ਜਾਨਿਆ ਕੋਇ ॥ |
| kabeer marathaa marathaa jag mooaa mar bhee n jaaniaa koe || |
| Kabeer, dying, dying, the whole world has to die, and yet, none know how to die. |

| ਜੋਗੀ ਬਪੁੜਾ ਖੇਲਿਓ ਆਸਨਿ ਰਹੀ ਬਿਭੂਤਿ ॥੪੮॥ |
| jogee bapurraa khaeliou aasan rehee bibhooth ||48|| |
| The poor Yogi has played out his game; only ashes remain on his seat. ||48|| |

| ਕਬੀਰ ਡੂਬਾ ਥਾ ਪੈ ਉਬਰਿਓ ਗੁਨ ਕੀ ਲਹਰਿ ਝਬਕਿ ॥ |

| Kabeer, I was drowning, but the waves of virtue saved me in an instant. |

| ਲੋਗੁ ਸਬਾਇਆ ਚਲਿ ਗਇਓ ਹਮ ਤੁਮ ਕਾਮੁ ਨਿਦਾਨ ॥੮੫॥ |
| log sabaaeiaa chal gaeiou ham thum kaam nidhaan ||85|| |
| All people must depart in the end; it is only you and I.""||85|| |

| ਕਬੀਰ ਮਾਇ ਮੂੰਡਉ ਤਿਹ ਗੁਰੂ ਕੀ ਜਾ ਤੇ ਭਰਮੁ ਨ ਜਾਇ ॥ |

| Kabeer, shave the mother of that guru, who does not take away one's doubt. |

| ਹਰਿ ਜੈਸਾ ਤੈਸਾ ਉਹੀ ਰਹਉ ਹਰਖਿ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਇ ॥੧੨੨॥ |
| har jaisaa thaisaa ouhee reho harakh gun gaae ||122|| |
| The Lord is just as He is. I dwell in delight, singing His Glorious Praises. ||122|| |

| ਕਬੀਰੁ ਕਸਤੂਰੀ ਭਇਆ ਭਵਰ ਭਏ ਸਭ ਦਾਸ ॥ |
| kabeer kasathooree bhaeiaa bhavar bheae sabh dhaas || |
| Kabeer, the Lord is like musk; all His slaves are like bumble bees. |

| ਕਬੀਰ ਹੈ ਗੈ ਬਾਹਨ ਸਘਨ ਘਨ ਛਤ੍ਰਪਤੀ ਕੀ ਨਾਰਿ ॥ |
| kabeer hai gai baahan saghan ghan shhathrapathee kee naar || |
| Kabeer, the wife of the king has all sorts of horses, elephants and carriages. |

| ਕਬੀਰ ਭਲੀ ਭਈ ਜੋ ਭਉ ਪਰਿਆ ਦਿਸਾ ਗੲਂੀ ਸਭ ਭੂਲਿ ॥ |
| kabeer bhalee bhee jo bho pariaa dhisaa geanaee sabh bhool || |
| Kabeer, it is good that I feel the Fear of God; I have forgotten everything else. |

| Kabeer, the pure drop of water falls from the sky, onto the dirty ground. |

| ਨਾਮਾ ਕਹੈ ਤਿਲੋਚਨਾ ਮੁਖ ਤੇ ਰਾਮੁ ਸੰਮ੍ਹ੍ਹਾਲਿ ॥ |
| naamaa kehai thilochanaa mukh thae raam sanmhaal || |
| Naam Dayv answers, O Trilochan, chant the Lord's Name with your mouth. |

| ਕਬੀਰ ਸਾਧੂ ਸੰਗੁ ਪਰਾਪਤੀ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੋਇ ਲਿਲਾਟ ॥ |
| kabeer saadhhoo sang paraapathee likhiaa hoe lilaatt || |
| Kabeer, the mortal finds the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, if he has such destiny written upon his forehead. |

| ਫਰੀਦਾ ਦਰ ਦਰਵੇਸੀ ਗਾਖੜੀ ਚਲਾਂ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਭਤਿ ॥ |
| fareedhaa dhar dharavaesee gaakharree chalaan dhuneeaaan bhath || |
| Fareed, it is so difficult to become a humble Saint at the Lord's Door. |

| ਫਰੀਦਾ ਰਾਤੀ ਵਡੀਆਂ ਧੁਖਿ ਧੁਖਿ ਉਠਨਿ ਪਾਸ ॥ |
| fareedhaa raathee vaddeeaaan dhhukh dhhukh outhan paas || |
| Fareed, the nights are long, and my sides are aching in pain. |
|
| ਸੋ ਹੇੜਾ ਘੜੀਆਲ ਜਿਉ ਡੁਖੀ ਰੈਣਿ ਵਿਹਾਇ ॥੪੦॥ |
| so haerraa gharreeaal jio ddukhee rain vihaae ||40|| |
| This beautiful body is like the gong; it passes the night in pain. ||40|| |
|
| ਫਰੀਦਾ ਮੰਡਪ ਮਾਲੁ ਨ ਲਾਇ ਮਰਗ ਸਤਾਣੀ ਚਿਤਿ ਧਰਿ ॥ |
| fareedhaa manddap maal n laae marag sathaanee chith dhhar || |
| Fareed, do not focus on mansions and wealth; center your consciousness on death, your powerful enemy. |

| ਫਰੀਦਾ ਬੁਰੇ ਦਾ ਭਲਾ ਕਰਿ ਗੁਸਾ ਮਨਿ ਨ ਹਢਾਇ ॥ |
| fareedhaa burae dhaa bhalaa kar gusaa man n hadtaae || |
| Fareed, answer evil with goodness; do not fill your mind with anger. |

| ਫਰੀਦਾ ਮਹਲ ਨਿਸਖਣ ਰਹਿ ਗਏ ਵਾਸਾ ਆਇਆ ਤਲਿ ॥ |
| fareedhaa mehal nisakhan rehi geae vaasaa aaeiaa thal || |
| Fareed, the mansions are vacant; those who lived in them have gone to live underground. |

| ਫਰੀਦਾ ਦਿਲੁ ਰਤਾ ਇਸੁ ਦੁਨੀ ਸਿਉ ਦੁਨੀ ਨ ਕਿਤੈ ਕੰਮਿ ॥ |
| fareedhaa dhil rathaa eis dhunee sio dhunee n kithai kanm || |
| Fareed, the heart is imbued with this world, but the world is of no use to it at all. |

| ਜੇ ਤਉ ਪਿਰੀਆ ਦੀ ਸਿਕ ਹਿਆਉ ਨ ਠਾਹੇ ਕਹੀ ਦਾ ॥੧੩੦॥ |
| jae tho pireeaa dhee sik hiaao n thaahae kehee dhaa ||130|| |
| If you desire your Beloved, then do not break anyone's heart. ||130|| |
|
| ਹਰਿ ਗੁਨ ਨਾਹੀ ਅੰਤ ਪਾਰੇ ਜੀਅ ਜੰਤ ਸਭਿ ਥਾਰੇ ਸਗਲ ਕੋ ਦਾਤਾ ਏਕੈ ਅਲਖ ਮੁਰਾਰੇ ॥ |
| har gun naahee anth paarae jeea janth sabh thhaarae sagal ko dhaathaa eaekai alakh muraarae || |
| O Lord, there is no end or limit to Your Glorious Virtues; all beings and creatures are Yours. You are the Giver of all, the One Invisible Lord. |

| ਬਿਨਤਿ ਕਰਉ ਅਰਦਾਸਿ ਸੁਨਹੁ ਜੇ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਭਾਵੈ ॥ |
| binath karo aradhaas sunahu jae thaakur bhaavai || |
| Please listen to my prayer, if it pleases You, O my Lord and Master. |

| Meditate in remembrance on the Merciful Lord of the World, O Nanak, in the Sat Sangat, the True Congregation. Know that the world is just a dream. ||4|| |

| ਅਉਖਧ ਮੰਤ੍ਰ ਤੰਤ੍ਰ ਪਰ ਦੁਖ ਹਰ ਸਰਬ ਰੋਗ ਖੰਡਣ ਗੁਣਕਾਰੀ ॥ |
| aoukhadhh manthr thanthr par dhukh har sarab rog khanddan gunakaaree || |
| The Medicine, the Mantra, the Magic Charm, will cure all illnesses and totally take away all pain. |

| ਕਬਿ ਕਲ ਸੁਜਸੁ ਗਾਵਉ ਗੁਰ ਨਾਨਕ ਰਾਜੁ ਜੋਗੁ ਜਿਨਿ ਮਾਣਿਓ ॥੪॥ |
| kab kal sujas gaavo gur naanak raaj jog jin maaniou ||4|| |
| KAL the poet sings the Sublime Praises of Guru Nanak, who enjoys mastery of Raja Yoga. ||4|| |

| ਕਬਿ ਕਲ ਸੁਜਸੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰ ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਸਹਜਿ ਸਮਾਇਓ ॥੧੦॥ |
| kab kal sujas naanak gur ghatt ghatt sehaj samaaeiou ||10|| |
| Says KAL the poet, the Sublime Praises of Guru Nanak intuitively permeate each and every heart. ||10|| |

| ਗੁਰੁ ਜਗਤ ਫਿਰਣਸੀਹ ਅੰਗਰਉ ਰਾਜੁ ਜੋਗੁ ਲਹਣਾ ਕਰੈ ॥੫॥ |
| gur jagath firanaseeh angaro raaj jog lehanaa karai ||5|| |
| The lion, the son of Pheru, is Guru Angad, the Guru of the World; Lehnaa practices Raja Yoga, the Yoga of meditation and success. ||5|| |

| ਉਤਰਿ ਦਖਿਣਹਿ ਪੁਬਿ ਅਰੁ ਪਸ੍ਚਮਿ ਜੈ ਜੈ ਕਾਰੁ ਜਪੰਥਿ ਨਰਾ ॥ |
| outhar dhakhinehi pub ar pascham jai jai kaar japanthh naraa || |
| In the north, south, east and west, people proclaim Your Victory. |

| ਕੁਲ ਸੰਬੂਹ ਸਮੁਧਰੇ ਪਾਯਉ ਨਾਮ ਨਿਵਾਸੁ ॥ |
| kul sanbooh samudhharae paayo naam nivaas || |
| All Your generations are totally saved; You dwell in the Naam, the Name of the Lord. |

| ਗੁਰੁ ਅਮਰਦਾਸੁ ਪਰਸੀਐ ਅਭਉ ਲਭੈ ਗਉ ਚੁਕਿਹਿ ॥ |

| Meeting with Guru Amar Daas, the Fearless Lord is obtained, and the cycle of reincarnation is brought to an end. |

| I wandered around lost for a year, but no one touched my soul. |

| ਜਾਗ੍ਯ੍ਯਾ ਮਨੁ ਕਵਲੁ ਸਹਜਿ ਪਰਕਾਸ੍ਯ੍ਯਾ ਅਭੈ ਨਿਰੰਜਨੁ ਘਰਹਿ ਲਹਾ ॥ |
| jaagyaa man kaval sehaj parakaasyaa abhai niranjan gharehi lehaa || |
| The Lotus of His mind remains awake and aware, illuminated with intuitive wisdom. In His own home, He has obtained the Fearless, Immaculate Lord. |

| ਗੁਰ ਰਾਮਦਾਸ ਕਲ੍ਯ੍ਯੁਚਰੈ ਤੈ ਸਬਦ ਨੀਸਾਨੁ ਬਜਾਇਅਉ ॥੯॥ |
| gur raamadhaas kalyaacharai thai sabadh neesaan bajaaeiao ||9|| |
| So speaks KALL: O Guru Raam Daas, You beat the drum of the Shabad. ||9|| |

| ਫੁਨਿ ਮਨ ਬਚ ਕ੍ਰਮ ਜਾਨੁ ਅਨਤ ਦੂਜਾ ਨ ਮਾਨੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਸੋ ਅਪਾਰੁ ਸਾਰੁ ਦੀਨੋ ਗੁਰਿ ਰਿਦ ਧਰ ॥ |
| fun man bach kram jaan anath dhoojaa n maan naam so apaar saar dheeno gur ridh dhhar || |
| In thought, word and deed, I know the Lord; I do not worship any other. The Guru has enshrined the most excellent Name of the Infinite Lord within my heart. |

| O foolish mind, give up your doubts; as Gurmukh, vibrate and meditate on the Naam. Chant Guru, Guru, Guru, Guru, Guru, and know Him as true. ||2||14|| |

| He is certified, like the handsome Ram Chander in the house of Dasrath of the Raghwa dynasty. Even the silent sages seek His Sanctuary. |

| peeth basan kundh dhasan pria sehith kanth maal mukatt sees mor pankh chaahi jeeo || |
| As Krishna, You wear yellow robes, with teeth like jasmine flowers; You dwell with Your lovers, with Your mala around Your neck, and You joyfully adorn Your head with the crow of peacock feathers. |

| Brahmas and Shivas respect and obey You. O Death of death, Formless Lord, I beg of You. |

| bidhyamaan gur aap thhapyo thhir saacho thakhath guroo raamadhaasai ||6|| |

| thaa thae gouhar gyaan pragatt oujeeaaro dhukh dharidhr andhhyaar ko naas || |
| From that service, the light from the jewel of spiritual wisdom shines forth, radiant and bright; it has destroyed pain, poverty and darkness. |
