| Enshrine the Feet of the Guru within your heart; |

| ਦੁਖ ਦੁਸਮਨ ਤੇਰੀ ਹਤੈ ਬਲਾਇ ॥੨॥ |
| dhukh dhusaman thaeree hathai balaae ||2|| |
| your pains, enemies and bad luck shall be destroyed. ||2|| |

| ਗੁਰ ਕਾ ਸਬਦੁ ਤੇਰੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਸਹਾਈ ॥ |
| gur kaa sabadh thaerai sang sehaaee || |
| With each and every breath, they remember the Naam. ||3|| |

| ਦਇਆਲ ਭਏ ਸਗਲੇ ਜੀਅ ਭਾਈ ॥੩॥ |

| O Siblings of Destiny, all beings shall be kind to you. ||3|| |

| Like beasts, they consume all sorts of tasty treats. |
|
| ਮੋਹ ਕੀ ਜੇਵਰੀ ਬਾਧਿਓ ਚੋਰ ॥੧॥ |
| moh kee jaevaree baadhhiou chor ||1|| |
| With the rope of emotional attachment, they are bound and gagged like thieves. ||1|| |
|
| ਮਿਰਤਕ ਦੇਹ ਸਾਧਸੰਗ ਬਿਹੂਨਾ ॥ |
| mirathak dhaeh saadhhasang bihoonaa || |
| Their bodies are corpses, without the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy. |

| ਆਵਤ ਜਾਤ ਜੋਨੀ ਦੁਖ ਖੀਨਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ |
| aavath jaath jonee dhukh kheenaa ||1|| rehaao || |
| They come and go in reincarnation, and are destroyed by pain. ||1||Pause|| |

| ਅਨਿਕ ਬਸਤ੍ਰ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਪਹਿਰਾਇਆ ॥ |
| anik basathr sundhar pehiraaeiaa || |
| They wear all sorts of beautiful robes, |
|
| ਜਿਉ ਡਰਨਾ ਖੇਤ ਮਾਹਿ ਡਰਾਇਆ ॥੨॥ |
| jio ddaranaa khaeth maahi ddaraaeiaa ||2|| |
| but they are still just scarecrows in the field, frightening away the birds. ||2|| |
|
| ਸਗਲ ਸਰੀਰ ਆਵਤ ਸਭ ਕਾਮ ॥ |
| sagal sareer aavath sabh kaam || |
| All bodies are of some use, |
|
| ਨਿਹਫਲ ਮਾਨੁਖੁ ਜਪੈ ਨਹੀ ਨਾਮ ॥੩॥ |
| nihafal maanukh japai nehee naam ||3|| |
| but those who do not meditate on the Naam, the Name of the Lord, are totally useless. ||3|| |

| ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਜਾ ਕਉ ਭਏ ਦਇਆਲਾ ॥ |

| Says Nanak, those unto whom the Lord becomes Merciful, |

| join the Saadh Sangat, and meditate on the Lord of the Universe. ||4||55||124|| |

| ਕਲਿ ਕਲੇਸ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦਿ ਨਿਵਾਰੇ ॥ |
| kal kalaes gur sabadh nivaarae || |
| With my feet, I walk on the Path of my Lord and Master. ||1|| |

| ਆਵਣ ਜਾਣ ਰਹੇ ਸੁਖ ਸਾਰੇ ॥੧॥ |
| aavan jaan rehae sukh saarae ||1|| |
| Coming and going ceases, and all comforts are obtained. ||1|| |
|
| ਭੈ ਬਿਨਸੇ ਨਿਰਭਉ ਹਰਿ ਧਿਆਇਆ ॥ |
| bhai binasae nirabho har dhhiaaeiaa || |
| Fear is dispelled, meditating on the Fearless Lord. |

| ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਇਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ |

| In the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, I chant the Glorious Praises of the Lord. ||1||Pause|| |

| ਚਰਨ ਕਵਲ ਰਿਦ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਧਾਰੇ ॥ |
| charan kaval ridh anthar dhhaarae || |
| I have enshrined the Lotus Feet of the Lord within my heart. |

| ਅਗਨਿ ਸਾਗਰ ਗੁਰਿ ਪਾਰਿ ਉਤਾਰੇ ॥੨॥ |
| agan saagar gur paar outhaarae ||2|| |
| The Guru has carried me across the ocean of fire. ||2|| |

| ਬੂਡਤ ਜਾਤ ਪੂਰੈ ਗੁਰਿ ਕਾਢੇ ॥ |
| booddath jaath poorai gur kaadtae || |
| I was sinking down, and the Perfect Guru pulled me out. |

| ਜਨਮ ਜਨਮ ਕੇ ਟੂਟੇ ਗਾਢੇ ॥੩॥ |
| janam janam kae ttoottae gaadtae ||3|| |
| I was cut off from the Lord for countless incarnations, and now the Guru united me with Him again. ||3|| |

| Place your mind and body in offering before Him. ||1|| |

| Drink in the Ambrosial Nectar of the Name, O my Siblings of Destiny. |

| Meditating, meditating in remembrance on the Lord, the fire of desire is totally quenched. ||1||Pause|| |

| ਤਜਿ ਅਭਿਮਾਨੁ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਣੁ ਨਿਵਾਰਹੁ ॥ |
| thaj abhimaan janam maran nivaarahu || |
| Renounce your arrogant pride, and end the cycle of birth and death. |

| ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਦਾਸ ਕੇ ਚਰਣ ਨਮਸਕਾਰਹੁ ॥੨॥ |
| har kae dhaas kae charan namasakaarahu ||2|| |
| Working for the Lord, His humble servants look beautiful. |
|
| ਸਾਸਿ ਸਾਸਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਮਨਹਿ ਸਮਾਲੇ ॥ |
| saas saas prabh manehi samaalae || |
| Remember God in your mind, with each and every breath. |
|
| ਸੋ ਧਨੁ ਸੰਚਹੁ ਜੋ ਚਾਲੈ ਨਾਲੇ ॥੩॥ |
| so dhhan sanchahu jo chaalai naalae ||3|| |
| Gather only that wealth, which shall go with you. ||3|| |
|
| ਤਿਸਹਿ ਪਰਾਪਤਿ ਜਿਸੁ ਮਸਤਕਿ ਭਾਗੁ ॥ |
| thisehi paraapath jis masathak bhaag || |
| He alone obtains it, upon whose forehead such destiny is written. |

| ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਤਾ ਕੀ ਚਰਣੀ ਲਾਗੁ ॥੪॥੫੭॥੧੨੬॥ |

| His Ambrosial Glance irrigates and revives them. ||1|| |

| ਕਾਟੇ ਕਸਟ ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰਦੇਵ ॥ |
| kaattae kasatt poorae guradhaev || |
| The Perfect Divine Guru has removed my sorrow. |
|
| ਸੇਵਕ ਕਉ ਦੀਨੀ ਅਪੁਨੀ ਸੇਵ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ |
| saevak ko dheenee apunee saev ||1|| rehaao || |
| He blesses His servant with His service. ||1||Pause|| |

| ਮਿਟਿ ਗਈ ਚਿੰਤ ਪੁਨੀ ਮਨ ਆਸਾ ॥ |
| mitt gee chinth punee man aasaa || |
| Anxiety is removed, and the desires of the mind are fulfilled, |
|
| ਕਰੀ ਦਇਆ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਗੁਣਤਾਸਾ ॥੨॥ |
| karee dhaeiaa sathigur gunathaasaa ||2|| |
| when the True Guru, the Treasure of Excellence, shows His Kindness. ||2|| |
|
| ਦੁਖ ਨਾਠੇ ਸੁਖ ਆਇ ਸਮਾਏ ॥ |
| dhukh naathae sukh aae samaaeae || |
| Pain is driven far away, and peace comes in its place; |
|
| ਢੀਲ ਨ ਪਰੀ ਜਾ ਗੁਰਿ ਫੁਰਮਾਏ ॥੩॥ |
| dteel n paree jaa gur furamaaeae ||3|| |
| there is no delay, when the Guru gives the Order. ||3|| |
|
| ਇਛ ਪੁਨੀ ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰ ਮਿਲੇ ॥ |

| Desires are fulfilled, when one meets the True Guru; |
