| Maya pervades the awesome ocean of fire. |

| ਸੇ ਸੀਤਲ ਜਿਨ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੩॥ |
| sae seethal jin sathigur paaeiaa ||3|| |
| Those who have found the True Guru are calm and cool. ||3|| |

| ਰਾਖਿ ਲੇਇ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਰਾਖਨਹਾਰਾ ॥ |

| Please preserve me, O God, O Great Preserver! |

| By Your Grace, I obtain a seat in Your Court. ||1|| |

| ਤੁਝ ਬਿਨੁ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਨਹੀ ਕੋਇ ॥ |
| thujh bin paarabreham nehee koe || |
| Without You, O Supreme Lord God, there is no one. |

| ਤੁਮਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਤੇ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖੁ ਹੋਇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ |

| If You abide in the mind, we do not suffer in sorrow. |

| O Supreme Lord God, Infinite Lord and Master, |

| ਸਗਲ ਘਟਾ ਕੇ ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ॥੩॥ |

| You are the Inner-knower, the Searcher of all hearts. ||3|| |

| ਕਰਉ ਅਰਦਾਸਿ ਅਪਨੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪਾਸਿ ॥ |

| ਨਾਮ ਬਿਹੂਨ ਸੂਨੇ ਸੇ ਮੁਖਾ ॥੧॥ |
| naam bihoon soonae sae mukhaa ||1|| |
| so is the mouth empty without the Naam, the Name of the Lord. ||1|| |
|
| ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਹੁ ਨਿਤ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ॥ |
| har har naam japahu nith praanee || |
| O mortal, chant continually the Name of the Lord, Har, Har. |

| ਨਾਮ ਬਿਹੂਨ ਧ੍ਰਿਗੁ ਦੇਹ ਬਿਗਾਨੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ |
| naam bihoon dhhrig dhaeh bigaanee ||1|| rehaao || |
| Without the Naam, cursed is the body, which shall be taken back by Death. ||1||Pause|| |

| ਨਾਮ ਬਿਨਾ ਨਾਹੀ ਮੁਖਿ ਭਾਗੁ ॥ |

| when my tongue chants the Name of the Lord, Har, Haree. ||2|| |

| ਭਰਤ ਬਿਹੂਨ ਕਹਾ ਸੋਹਾਗੁ ॥੨॥ |

| Without the Husband, where is the marriage? ||2|| |

| ਨਾਮੁ ਬਿਸਾਰਿ ਲਗੈ ਅਨ ਸੁਆਇ ॥ |

| Forgetting the Naam, and attached to other tastes, |

| ਤਾ ਕੀ ਆਸ ਨ ਪੂਜੈ ਕਾਇ ॥੩॥ |

| no desires are fulfilled. ||3|| |

| ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਅਪਨੀ ਦਾਤਿ ॥ |

| Everything comes from You; You are the Inner-knower, the Searcher of hearts. ||1|| |

| The Perfect Supreme Lord God is the Support of His humble servant. |

| As many creatures as there are - they are all Yours. |

| ਤੁਮਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਤੇ ਸੂਖ ਘਨੇਰੇ ॥੨॥ |
| thumaree kirapaa thae sookh ghanaerae ||2|| |
| By Your Grace, all sorts of comforts are obtained. ||2|| |
|
| ਜੋ ਕਿਛੁ ਵਰਤੈ ਸਭ ਤੇਰਾ ਭਾਣਾ ॥ |
| jo kishh varathai sabh thaeraa bhaanaa || |
| Whatever happens, is all according to Your Will. |
|
| ਹੁਕਮੁ ਬੂਝੈ ਸੋ ਸਚਿ ਸਮਾਣਾ ॥੩॥ |
| hukam boojhai so sach samaanaa ||3|| |
| One who understands the Hukam of the Lord's Command, is absorbed in the True Lord. ||3|| |

| ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਦੀਜੈ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਦਾਨੁ ॥ |
| kar kirapaa dheejai prabh dhaan || |
| Please grant Your Grace, God, and bestow this gift |

| ਨਾਨਕ ਸਿਮਰੈ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ॥੪॥੬੬॥੧੩੫॥ |

| jaa kee raam naam liv laagee ||1|| |
| O my mind, chant the Bani, the Hymns of the Lord of the Universe. |
|
| ਜਾ ਕੈ ਹਰਿ ਵਸਿਆ ਮਨ ਮਾਹੀ ॥ |
| jaa kai har vasiaa man maahee || |
| Those whose minds are filled with the Lord, |
|
| ਤਾ ਕਉ ਦੁਖੁ ਸੁਪਨੈ ਭੀ ਨਾਹੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ |
| thaa ko dhukh supanai bhee naahee ||1|| rehaao || |
| do not suffer pain, even in dreams. ||1||Pause|| |
|
| ਸਰਬ ਨਿਧਾਨ ਰਾਖੇ ਜਨ ਮਾਹਿ ॥ |
| sarab nidhhaan raakhae jan maahi || |
| All treasures have been placed within the minds of His humble servants. |
|
| ਤਾ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਕਿਲਵਿਖ ਦੁਖ ਜਾਹਿ ॥੨॥ |
| thaa kai sang kilavikh dhukh jaahi ||2|| |
| In their company, sinful mistakes and sorrows are taken away. ||2|| |
|
| ਜਨ ਕੀ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਕਥੀ ਨ ਜਾਇ ॥ |
| jan kee mehimaa kathhee n jaae || |
| Write in your mind the Word of the Lord, Har, Har. ||3|| |
|
| ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਜਨੁ ਰਹਿਆ ਸਮਾਇ ॥੩॥ |
| paarabreham jan rehiaa samaae ||3|| |
| The servants of the Supreme Lord God remain absorbed in Him. ||3|| |

| ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਬਿਨਉ ਸੁਨੀਜੈ ॥ |

| Grant Your Grace, God, and hear my prayer: |
