| ਰਣਿ ਦਰਗਹਿ ਤਉ ਸੀਝਹਿ ਭਾਈ ॥ |
| ran dharagehi tho seejhehi bhaaee || |
| Then, you shall win the battle in the Court of the Lord, O Siblings of Destiny. |

| ਜਉ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਈ ॥ |
| jo guramukh raam naam liv laaee || |
| As Gurmukh, lovingly attune yourself to the Lord's Name. |

| ਰਹਤ ਰਹਤ ਰਹਿ ਜਾਹਿ ਬਿਕਾਰਾ ॥ਗੁਰ ਪੂਰੇ ਕੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਅਪਾਰਾ ॥ |
| rehath rehath rehi jaahi bikaaraa || gur poorae kai sabadh apaaraa || |
| Your evil ways shall be slowly and steadily blotted out, by the Shabad, the Incomparable Word of the Perfect Guru. |

| ਰਾਤੇ ਰੰਗ ਨਾਮ ਰਸ ਮਾਤੇ ॥ |
| raathae rang naam ras maathae || |
| You shall be imbued with the Lord's Love, and intoxicated with the Nectar of the Naam. |
|
| ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਰ ਕੀਨੀ ਦਾਤੇ ॥੪੪॥ |
| naanak har gur keenee dhaathae ||44|| |
| O Nanak, the Lord, the Guru, has given this gift. ||44|| |

| laalach jhooth bikhai biaadhh eiaa dhaehee mehi baas || |
| The afflictions of greed, falsehood and corruption abide in this body. |

| ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਪੀਆ ਨਾਨਕ ਸੂਖਿ ਨਿਵਾਸ ॥੧॥ |
| har har anmrith guramukh peeaa naanak sookh nivaas ||1|| |
| Drinking in the Ambrosial Nectar of the Lord's Name, Har , Har, O Nanak, the Gurmukh abides in peace. ||1|| |

| lalaa laavo aoukhadhh jaahoo || |
| LALLA: One who takes the medicine of the Naam, the Name of the Lord, |

| ਦੂਖ ਦਰਦ ਤਿਹ ਮਿਟਹਿ ਖਿਨਾਹੂ ॥ |
| dhookh dharadh thih mittehi khinaahoo || |
| is cured of his pain and sorrow in an instant. |
|
| ਨਾਮ ਅਉਖਧੁ ਜਿਹ ਰਿਦੈ ਹਿਤਾਵੈ ॥ |
| naam aoukhadhh jih ridhai hithaavai || |
| One whose heart is filled with the medicine of the Naam, |
|
| ਤਾਹਿ ਰੋਗੁ ਸੁਪਨੈ ਨਹੀ ਆਵੈ ॥ |
| thaahi rog supanai nehee aavai || |
| is not infested with disease, even in his dreams. |
|
| ਹਰਿ ਅਉਖਧੁ ਸਭ ਘਟ ਹੈ ਭਾਈ ॥ |
| har aoukhadhh sabh ghatt hai bhaaee || |
| The medicine of the Lord's Name is in all hearts, O Siblings of Destiny. |
|
| ਗੁਰ ਪੂਰੇ ਬਿਨੁ ਬਿਧਿ ਨ ਬਨਾਈ ॥ |
| gur poorae bin bidhh n banaaee || |
| Without the Perfect Guru, no one knows how to prepare it. |
|
| ਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਸੰਜਮੁ ਕਰਿ ਦੀਆ ॥ |
| gur poorai sanjam kar dheeaa || |
| When the Perfect Guru gives the instructions to prepare it, |
|
| ਨਾਨਕ ਤਉ ਫਿਰਿ ਦੂਖ ਨ ਥੀਆ ॥੪੫॥ |
| naanak tho fir dhookh n thheeaa ||45|| |
| then, O Nanak, one does not suffer illness again. ||45|| |

| The All-pervading Lord is in all places. There is no place where He does not exist. |

| ਅੰਤਰਿ ਬਾਹਰਿ ਸੰਗਿ ਹੈ ਨਾਨਕ ਕਾਇ ਦੁਰਾਇ ॥੧॥ |

| Inside and outside, He is with you. O Nanak, what can be hidden from Him? ||1|| |

| WAWWA: Do not harbor hatred against anyone. |

| ਘਟ ਘਟ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਸਮਾਹੂ ॥ |
| ghatt ghatt anthar breham samaahoo || |
| In each and every heart, God is contained. |
|
| ਵਾਸੁਦੇਵ ਜਲ ਥਲ ਮਹਿ ਰਵਿਆ ॥ |
| vaasudhaev jal thhal mehi raviaa || |
| The All-pervading Lord is permeating and pervading the oceans and the land. |
|
| ਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਵਿਰਲੈ ਹੀ ਗਵਿਆ ॥ |
| gur prasaadh viralai hee gaviaa || |
| How rare are those who, by Guru's Grace, sing of Him. |
|
| ਵੈਰ ਵਿਰੋਧ ਮਿਟੇ ਤਿਹ ਮਨ ਤੇ ॥ |
| vair virodhh mittae thih man thae || |
| Hatred and alienation depart from those |
|
| ਹਰਿ ਕੀਰਤਨੁ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਜੋ ਸੁਨਤੇ ॥ |
| har keerathan guramukh jo sunathae || |
| who, as Gurmukh, listen to the Kirtan of the Lord's Praises. |

| ਹਉ ਹਉ ਕਰਤ ਬਿਹਾਨੀਆ ਸਾਕਤ ਮੁਗਧ ਅਜਾਨ ॥ |
| ho ho karath bihaaneeaa saakath mugadhh ajaan || |
| Acting in egotism, selfishness and conceit, the foolish, ignorant, faithless cynic wastes his life. |

| ੜੜਕਿ ਮੁਏ ਜਿਉ ਤ੍ਰਿਖਾਵੰਤ ਨਾਨਕ ਕਿਰਤਿ ਕਮਾਨ ॥੧॥ |

| He dies in agony, like one dying of thirst; O Nanak, this is because of the deeds he has done. ||1|| |

| RARRA: Conflict is eliminated in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy; |

| ਕਰਮ ਧਰਮ ਤਤੁ ਨਾਮ ਅਰਾਧੂ ॥ |
| karam dhharam thath naam araadhhoo || |
| meditate in adoration on the Naam, the Name of the Lord, the essence of karma and Dharma. |
|
| ਰੂੜੋ ਜਿਹ ਬਸਿਓ ਰਿਦ ਮਾਹੀ ॥ |
| roorro jih basiou ridh maahee || |
| When the Beautiful Lord abides within the heart, |
|
| ਉਆ ਕੀ ੜਾੜਿ ਮਿਟਤ ਬਿਨਸਾਹੀ ॥ |
| ouaa kee rraarr mittath binasaahee || |
| conflict is erased and ended. |
|
| ੜਾੜਿ ਕਰਤ ਸਾਕਤ ਗਾਵਾਰਾ ॥ |
| rraarr karath saakath gaavaaraa || |
| The foolish, faithless cynic picks arguments |
|
| ਜੇਹ ਹੀਐ ਅਹੰਬੁਧਿ ਬਿਕਾਰਾ ॥ |
| jaeh heeai ahanbudhh bikaaraa || |
| his heart is filled with corruption and egotistical intellect. |
|
| ੜਾੜਾ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ੜਾੜਿ ਮਿਟਾਈ ॥ਨਿਮਖ ਮਾਹਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਮਝਾਈ ॥੪੭॥ |
| rraarraa guramukh rraarr mittaaee || nimakh maahi naanak samajhaaee ||47|| |
| RARRA: For the Gurmukh, conflict is eliminated in an instant, O Nanak, through the Teachings. ||47|| |

| O mind, grasp the Support of the Holy Saint; give up your clever arguments. |

| ਗੁਰ ਦੀਖਿਆ ਜਿਹ ਮਨਿ ਬਸੈ ਨਾਨਕ ਮਸਤਕਿ ਭਾਗੁ ॥੧॥ |

| One who has the Guru's Teachings within his mind, O Nanak, has good destiny inscribed upon his forehead. ||1|| |

| sasaa saran parae ab haarae || saasathr simrith baedh pookaarae || |
| SASSA: I have now entered Your Sanctuary, Lord; I am so tired of reciting the Shaastras, the Simritees and the Vedas. |

| ਸੋਧਤ ਸੋਧਤ ਸੋਧਿ ਬੀਚਾਰਾ ॥ |
| sodhhath sodhhath sodhh beechaaraa || |
| I searched and searched and searched, and now I have come to realize, |
|
| ਬਿਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਭਜਨ ਨਹੀ ਛੁਟਕਾਰਾ ॥ |
| bin har bhajan nehee shhuttakaaraa || |
| that without meditating on the Lord, there is no emancipation. |
|
| ਸਾਸਿ ਸਾਸਿ ਹਮ ਭੂਲਨਹਾਰੇ ॥ |
| saas saas ham bhoolanehaarae || |
| With each and every breath, I make mistakes. |
|
| ਤੁਮ ਸਮਰਥ ਅਗਨਤ ਅਪਾਰੇ ॥ |
| thum samarathh aganath apaarae || |
| You are All-powerful, endless and infinite. |
|
| ਸਰਨਿ ਪਰੇ ਕੀ ਰਾਖੁ ਦਇਆਲਾ ॥ |
| saran parae kee raakh dhaeiaalaa || |
| I seek Your Sanctuary - please save me, Merciful Lord! |
|
| ਨਾਨਕ ਤੁਮਰੇ ਬਾਲ ਗੁਪਾਲਾ ॥੪੮॥ |
