| kee baar pasariou paasaar || |
| So many times, He has expanded His expansion. |

| ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਇਕੁ ਏਕੰਕਾਰ ॥ |
| sadhaa sadhaa eik eaekankaar || |
| Forever and ever, He is the One, the One Universal Creator. |

| ਕਈ ਕੋਟਿ ਕੀਨੇ ਬਹੁ ਭਾਤਿ ॥ |
| kee kott keenae bahu bhaath || |
| Many millions are created in various forms. |
|
| ਪ੍ਰਭ ਤੇ ਹੋਏ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮਾਹਿ ਸਮਾਤਿ ॥ |
| prabh thae hoeae prabh maahi samaath || |
| From God they emanate, and into God they merge once again. |
|
| ਤਾ ਕਾ ਅੰਤੁ ਨ ਜਾਨੈ ਕੋਇ ॥ |
| thaa kaa anth n jaanai koe || |
| His limits are not known to anyone. |
|
| ਆਪੇ ਆਪਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸੋਇ ॥੭॥ |

| Of Himself, and by Himself, O Nanak, God exists. ||7|| |

| ਕਈ ਕੋਟਿ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਕੇ ਦਾਸ ॥ |
| kee kott paarabreham kae dhaas || |
| Many millions are the servants of the Supreme Lord God. |
|
| ਤਿਨ ਹੋਵਤ ਆਤਮ ਪਰਗਾਸ ॥ |
| thin hovath aatham paragaas || |
| Their souls are enlightened. |
|
| ਕਈ ਕੋਟਿ ਤਤ ਕੇ ਬੇਤੇ ॥ |
| kee kott thath kae baethae || |
| Many millions know the essence of reality. |
|
| ਸਦਾ ਨਿਹਾਰਹਿ ਏਕੋ ਨੇਤ੍ਰੇ ॥ |
| sadhaa nihaarehi eaeko naethrae || |
| Their eyes gaze forever on the One alone. |
|
| ਕਈ ਕੋਟਿ ਨਾਮ ਰਸੁ ਪੀਵਹਿ ॥ |
| kee kott naam ras peevehi || |
| Many millions drink in the essence of the Naam. |
|
| ਅਮਰ ਭਏ ਸਦ ਸਦ ਹੀ ਜੀਵਹਿ ॥ |
| amar bheae sadh sadh hee jeevehi || |
| They become immortal; they live forever and ever. |
|
| ਕਈ ਕੋਟਿ ਨਾਮ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵਹਿ ॥ |
| kee kott naam gun gaavehi || |
| Many millions sing the Glorious Praises of the Naam. |
|
| ਆਤਮ ਰਸਿ ਸੁਖਿ ਸਹਜਿ ਸਮਾਵਹਿ ॥ |
| aatham ras sukh sehaj samaavehi || |
| They are absorbed in intuitive peace and pleasure. |
|
| ਅਪੁਨੇ ਜਨ ਕਉ ਸਾਸਿ ਸਾਸਿ ਸਮਾਰੇ ॥ |
| apunae jan ko saas saas samaarae || |
| He remembers His servants with each and every breath. |
|
| ਨਾਨਕ ਓਇ ਪਰਮੇਸੁਰ ਕੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ॥੮॥੧੦॥ |

| O Nanak, they are the beloveds of the Transcendent Lord God. ||8||10|| |

| God alone is the Doer of deeds - there is no other at all. |

| The Doer, the Cause of causes, is potent to do anything. |

| ਜੋ ਤਿਸੁ ਭਾਵੈ ਸੋਈ ਹੋਗੁ ॥ |

| That which pleases Him, comes to pass. |
|
| ਅੰਤੁ ਨਹੀ ਕਿਛੁ ਪਾਰਾਵਾਰਾ ॥ |
| anth nehee kishh paaraavaaraa || |
| He has no end or limitation. |
|
| ਹੁਕਮੇ ਧਾਰਿ ਅਧਰ ਰਹਾਵੈ ॥ |
| hukamae dhhaar adhhar rehaavai || |
| By His Order, He established the earth, and He maintains it unsupported. |
|
| ਹੁਕਮੇ ਉਪਜੈ ਹੁਕਮਿ ਸਮਾਵੈ ॥ |
| hukamae oupajai hukam samaavai || |
| By His Order, the world was created; by His Order, it shall merge again into Him. |
|
| ਹੁਕਮੇ ਊਚ ਨੀਚ ਬਿਉਹਾਰ ॥ |
| hukamae ooch neech biouhaar || |
| By His Order, one's occupation is high or low. |
|
| ਹੁਕਮੇ ਅਨਿਕ ਰੰਗ ਪਰਕਾਰ ॥ |
| hukamae anik rang parakaar || |
| By His Order, there are so many colors and forms. |
|
| ਕਰਿ ਕਰਿ ਦੇਖੈ ਅਪਨੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ॥ |
| kar kar dhaekhai apanee vaddiaaee || |
| Having created the Creation, He beholds His own greatness. |
|
| ਨਾਨਕ ਸਭ ਮਹਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਸਮਾਈ ॥੧॥ |

| O Nanak, He is pervading in all. ||1|| |

| ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਾਵੈ ਮਾਨੁਖ ਗਤਿ ਪਾਵੈ ॥ |

| If it pleases God, one attains salvation. |
|
| ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਾਵੈ ਤਾ ਪਾਥਰ ਤਰਾਵੈ ॥ |
| prabh bhaavai thaa paathhar tharaavai || |
| If it pleases God, then even stones can swim. |
|
| ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਾਵੈ ਬਿਨੁ ਸਾਸ ਤੇ ਰਾਖੈ ॥ |
| prabh bhaavai bin saas thae raakhai || |
| If it pleases God, the body is preserved, even without the breath of life. |
|
| ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਾਵੈ ਤਾ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਭਾਖੈ ॥ |
| prabh bhaavai thaa har gun bhaakhai || |
| If it pleases God, then one chants the Lord's Glorious Praises. |
|
| ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਾਵੈ ਤਾ ਪਤਿਤ ਉਧਾਰੈ ॥ |
| prabh bhaavai thaa pathith oudhhaarai || |
| If it pleases God, then even sinners are saved. |
|
| ਆਪਿ ਕਰੈ ਆਪਨ ਬੀਚਾਰੈ ॥ |
| aap karai aapan beechaarai || |
| He Himself acts, and He Himself contemplates. |
|
| ਦੁਹਾ ਸਿਰਿਆ ਕਾ ਆਪਿ ਸੁਆਮੀ ॥ |
| dhuhaa siriaa kaa aap suaamee || |
| He Himself is the Master of both worlds. |
|
| ਖੇਲੈ ਬਿਗਸੈ ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ॥ |
| khaelai bigasai antharajaamee || |
| He plays and He enjoys; He is the Inner-knower, the Searcher of hearts. |
|
| ਜੋ ਭਾਵੈ ਸੋ ਕਾਰ ਕਰਾਵੈ ॥ |
| jo bhaavai so kaar karaavai || |
| As He wills, He causes actions to be done. |
|
| ਨਾਨਕ ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟੀ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਆਵੈ ॥੨॥ |

| Nanak sees no other than Him. ||2|| |

| ਕਹੁ ਮਾਨੁਖ ਤੇ ਕਿਆ ਹੋਇ ਆਵੈ ॥ |

| Tell me - what can a mere mortal do? |

| ਜੋ ਤਿਸੁ ਭਾਵੈ ਸੋਈ ਕਰਾਵੈ ॥ |

| Whatever pleases God is what He causes us to do. |
|
| ਇਸ ਕੈ ਹਾਥਿ ਹੋਇ ਤਾ ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਲੇਇ ॥ |
| eis kai haathh hoe thaa sabh kishh laee || |
| If it were in our hands, we would grab up everything. |
|
| ਜੋ ਤਿਸੁ ਭਾਵੈ ਸੋਈ ਕਰੇਇ ॥ |
| jo this bhaavai soee karaee || |
| Whatever pleases God - that is what He does. |
|
| ਅਨਜਾਨਤ ਬਿਖਿਆ ਮਹਿ ਰਚੈ ॥ |
| anajaanath bikhiaa mehi rachai || |
| Through ignorance, people are engrossed in corruption. |
|
| ਜੇ ਜਾਨਤ ਆਪਨ ਆਪ ਬਚੈ ॥ |
| jae jaanath aapan aap bachai || |
| If they knew better, they would save themselves. |
|
| ਭਰਮੇ ਭੂਲਾ ਦਹ ਦਿਸਿ ਧਾਵੈ ॥ |
| bharamae bhoolaa dheh dhis dhhaavai || |
| Deluded by doubt, they wander around in the ten directions. |
|
| ਨਿਮਖ ਮਾਹਿ ਚਾਰਿ ਕੁੰਟ ਫਿਰਿ ਆਵੈ ॥ |
| nimakh maahi chaar kuntt fir aavai || |
| In an instant, their minds go around the four corners of the world and come back again. |
|
| ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਜਿਸੁ ਅਪਨੀ ਭਗਤਿ ਦੇਇ ॥ |
| kar kirapaa jis apanee bhagath dhaee || |
| Those whom the Lord mercifully blesses with His devotional worship |

| ਨਾਨਕ ਤੇ ਜਨ ਨਾਮਿ ਮਿਲੇਇ ॥੩॥ |

| - O Nanak, they are absorbed into the Naam. ||3|| |

| ਖਿਨ ਮਹਿ ਨੀਚ ਕੀਟ ਕਉ ਰਾਜ ॥ |

| In an instant, the lowly worm is transformed into a king. |
