| brihasapath bikhiaa dhaee behaae || |
| On Thursday, wash off your corruption. |
|
| ਤੀਨਿ ਦੇਵ ਏਕ ਸੰਗਿ ਲਾਇ ॥ |
| theen dhaev eaek sang laae || |
| Forsake the trinity, and attach yourself to the One God. |
|
| ਤੀਨਿ ਨਦੀ ਤਹ ਤ੍ਰਿਕੁਟੀ ਮਾਹਿ ॥ |
| theen nadhee theh thrikuttee maahi || |
| At the confluence of the three rivers of knowledge, right action and devotion, there, |
|
| ਅਹਿਨਿਸਿ ਕਸਮਲ ਧੋਵਹਿ ਨਾਹਿ ॥੫॥ |
| ahinis kasamal dhhovehi naahi ||5|| |
| why not wash away your sinful mistakes? ||5|| |
|
| ਸੁਕ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਸਹਾਰੈ ਸੁ ਇਹ ਬ੍ਰਤਿ ਚੜੈ ॥ |
| sukirath sehaarai s eih brath charrai || |
| On Friday, keep up and complete your fast; |
|
| ਅਨਦਿਨ ਆਪਿ ਆਪ ਸਿਉ ਲੜੈ ॥ |
| anadhin aap aap sio larrai || |
| day and night, you must fight against your own self. |
|
| ਸੁਰਖੀ ਪਾਂਚਉ ਰਾਖੈ ਸਬੈ ॥ |
| surakhee paancho raakhai sabai || |
| If you restrain your five senses, |
|
| ਤਉ ਦੂਜੀ ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਨ ਪੈਸੈ ਕਬੈ ॥੬॥ |
| tho dhoojee dhrisatt n paisai kabai ||6|| |
| then you shall not cast your glance on another. ||6|| |
|
| ਥਾਵਰ ਥਿਰੁ ਕਰਿ ਰਾਖੈ ਸੋਇ ॥ਜੋਤਿ ਦੀ ਵਟੀ ਘਟ ਮਹਿ ਜੋਇ ॥ |
| thhaavar thhir kar raakhai soe || joth dhee vattee ghatt mehi joe || |
| On Saturday, keep the candle of God's Light steady within your heart; |
|
| ਬਾਹਰਿ ਭੀਤਰਿ ਭਇਆ ਪ੍ਰਗਾਸੁ ॥ |
| baahar bheethar bhaeiaa pragaas || |
| you will be enlightened, inwardly and outwardly. |
|
| ਜਬ ਲਗੁ ਘਟ ਮਹਿ ਦੂਜੀ ਆਨ ॥ |
| jab lag ghatt mehi dhoojee aan || |
| Know that as long as you place your hopes in others, |
|
| ਤਉ ਲਉ ਮਹਲਿ ਨ ਲਾਭੈ ਜਾਨ ॥ |
| tho lo mehal n laabhai jaan || |
| you shall not find the Mansion of the Lord's Presence. |
|
| ਰਮਤ ਰਾਮ ਸਿਉ ਲਾਗੋ ਰੰਗੁ ॥ |
| ramath raam sio laago rang || |
| When you embrace love for the Lord, |
|
| ਕਹਿ ਕਬੀਰ ਤਬ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਅੰਗ ॥੮॥੧॥ |
| kehi kabeer thab niramal ang ||8||1|| |
| says Kabeer, then, you shall become pure in your very fiber. ||8||1|| |

| You saved the prostitute, and the ugly hunch-back; You helped the hunter and Ajaamal swim across as well. |

| ਚਰਨ ਬਧਿਕ ਜਨ ਤੇਊ ਮੁਕਤਿ ਭਏ ॥ |
| charan badhhik jan thaeoo mukath bheae || |
| The hunter who shot Krishna in the foot - even he was liberated. |

| ਹਉ ਬਲਿ ਬਲਿ ਜਿਨ ਰਾਮ ਕਹੇ ॥੧॥ |
| ho bal bal jin raam kehae ||1|| |
| I am a sacrifice, a sacrifice to those who chant the Lord's Name. ||1|| |

| ਦਾਸੀ ਸੁਤ ਜਨੁ ਬਿਦਰੁ ਸੁਦਾਮਾ ਉਗ੍ਰਸੈਨ ਕਉ ਰਾਜ ਦੀਏ ॥ |
| dhaasee suth jan bidhar sudhaamaa ougrasain ko raaj dheeeae || |
| You saved Bidur, the son of the slave-girl, and Sudama; You restored Ugrasain to his throne. |

| ਜਪ ਹੀਨ ਤਪ ਹੀਨ ਕੁਲ ਹੀਨ ਕ੍ਰਮ ਹੀਨ ਨਾਮੇ ਕੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਤੇਊ ਤਰੇ ॥੨॥੧॥ |

| There is no suffering or anxiety there. |

| ਨਾਂ ਤਸਵੀਸ ਖਿਰਾਜੁ ਨ ਮਾਲੁ ॥ |
| naan thasavees khiraaj n maal || |
| There are no troubles or taxes on commodities there. |
|
| ਖਉਫੁ ਨ ਖਤਾ ਨ ਤਰਸੁ ਜਵਾਲੁ ॥੧॥ |
| khouf n khathaa n tharas javaal ||1|| |
| There is no fear, blemish or downfall there. ||1|| |
|
| ਅਬ ਮੋਹਿ ਖੂਬ ਵਤਨ ਗਹ ਪਾਈ ॥ |
| ab mohi khoob vathan geh paaee || |
| Now, I have found this most excellent city. |

| ਊਹਾਂ ਖੈਰਿ ਸਦਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਭਾਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ |

| There is lasting peace and safety there, O Siblings of Destiny. ||1||Pause|| |

| ਕਾਇਮੁ ਦਾਇਮੁ ਸਦਾ ਪਾਤਿਸਾਹੀ ॥ |

| God's Kingdom is steady, stable and eternal. |

| ਦੋਮ ਨ ਸੇਮ ਏਕ ਸੋ ਆਹੀ ॥ |

| There is no second or third status; all are equal there. |

| ਆਬਾਦਾਨੁ ਸਦਾ ਮਸਹੂਰ ॥ |
| aabaadhaan sadhaa masehoor || |
| That city is populous and eternally famous. |

| ਊਹਾਂ ਗਨੀ ਬਸਹਿ ਮਾਮੂਰ ॥੨॥ |
| oohaan ganee basehi maamoor ||2|| |
| Those who live there are wealthy and contented. ||2|| |
|
| ਤਿਉ ਤਿਉ ਸੈਲ ਕਰਹਿ ਜਿਉ ਭਾਵੈ ॥ |
| thio thio sail karehi jio bhaavai || |
| They stroll about freely, just as they please. |
|
| ਮਹਰਮ ਮਹਲ ਨ ਕੋ ਅਟਕਾਵੈ ॥ |
| meharam mehal n ko attakaavai || |
| They know the Mansion of the Lord's Presence, and no one blocks their way. |
|
| ਕਹਿ ਰਵਿਦਾਸ ਖਲਾਸ ਚਮਾਰਾ ॥ |
| kehi ravidhaas khalaas chamaaraa || |
