| ਘਟਿ ਅਵਘਟਿ ਰਵਿਆ ਸਭ ਠਾਈ ਹਰਿ ਪੂਰਨ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਦਿਖਾਈਐ ॥੧॥ |
| ghatt avaghatt raviaa sabh thaaee har pooran breham dhikhaaeeai ||1|| |
| Within the heart, beyond the heart, and in all places, God, the Perfect One, is seen to be permeating. ||1|| |

| ਉਸਤਤਿ ਕਰਹਿ ਸੇਵਕ ਮੁਨਿ ਕੇਤੇ ਤੇਰਾ ਅੰਤੁ ਨ ਕਤਹੂ ਪਾਈਐ ॥ |
| ousathath karehi saevak mun kaethae thaeraa anth n kathehoo paaeeai || |
| So many of Your servants and silent sages sing Your Praises, but no one has found Your limits. |

| ਸੁਖਦਾਤੇ ਦੁਖ ਭੰਜਨ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਦ ਬਲਿ ਜਾਈਐ ॥੨॥੧॥ |
| sukhadhaathae dhukh bhanjan suaamee jan naanak sadh bal jaaeeai ||2||1|| |
| O Giver of peace, Destroyer of pain, Lord and Master - servant Nanak is forever a sacrifice to You. ||2||1|| |

| raach rehiou rachanaa prabh apanee kehaa laabh kehaa khoeeai ||1|| rehaao || |
| God pervades His pervading creation; one gains, while another loses. ||1||Pause|| |

| ਕਹ ਫੂਲਹਿ ਆਨੰਦ ਬਿਖੈ ਸੋਗ ਕਬ ਹਸਨੋ ਕਬ ਰੋਈਐ ॥ |
| keh foolehi aanandh bikhai sog kab hasano kab roeeai || |
| Sometimes he blossoms in bliss, while at other times, he suffers in mourning. Sometimes he laughs, and sometimes he weeps. |

| ਕਬਹੂ ਮੈਲੁ ਭਰੇ ਅਭਿਮਾਨੀ ਕਬ ਸਾਧੂ ਸੰਗਿ ਧੋਈਐ ॥੧॥ |
| kabehoo mail bharae abhimaanee kab saadhhoo sang dhhoeeai ||1|| |
| Sometimes he is filled with the filth of ego, while at other times, he washes it off in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy. ||1|| |
|
| ਕੋਇ ਨ ਮੇਟੈ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਾ ਕੀਆ ਦੂਸਰ ਨਾਹੀ ਅਲੋਈਐ ॥ |
| koe n maettai prabh kaa keeaa dhoosar naahee aloeeai || |
| No one can erase the actions of God; I cannot see any other like Him. |

| O mother, I hear of death, and think of it, and I am filled with fear. |

| ਮੇਰ ਤੇਰ ਤਜਉ ਅਭਿਮਾਨਾ ਸਰਨਿ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਕੀ ਪਰਤ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ |
| maer thaer thajo abhimaanaa saran suaamee kee parath ||1|| rehaao || |
| Renouncing 'mine and yours' and egotism, I have sought the Sanctuary of the Lord and Master. ||1||Pause|| |

| ਜੋ ਜੋ ਕਹੈ ਸੋਈ ਭਲ ਮਾਨਉ ਨਾਹਿ ਨ ਕਾ ਬੋਲ ਕਰਤ ॥ |
| jo jo kehai soee bhal maano naahi n kaa bol karath || |
| Whatever He says, I accept that as good. I do not say ""No"" to what He says. |

| ਨਿਮਖ ਨ ਬਿਸਰਉ ਹੀਏ ਮੋਰੇ ਤੇ ਬਿਸਰਤ ਜਾਈ ਹਉ ਮਰਤ ॥੧॥ |
| nimakh n bisaro heeeae morae thae bisarath jaaee ho marath ||1|| |
| Let me not forget Him, even for an instant; forgetting Him, I die. ||1|| |

| ਸੁਖਦਾਈ ਪੂਰਨ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਕਰਤਾ ਮੇਰੀ ਬਹੁਤੁ ਇਆਨਪ ਜਰਤ ॥ |
| sukhadhaaee pooran prabh karathaa maeree bahuth eiaanap jarath || |
| The Giver of peace, God, the Perfect Creator, endures my great ignorance. |

| ਨਿਰਗੁਨਿ ਕਰੂਪਿ ਕੁਲਹੀਣ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਉ ਅਨਦ ਰੂਪ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਭਰਤ ॥੨॥੩॥ |
| niragun karoop kuleheen naanak ho anadh roop suaamee bharath ||2||3|| |
| I am worthless, ugly and of low birth, O Nanak, but my Husband Lord is the embodiment of bliss. ||2||3|| |

| ਗਾਵਤ ਸੁਨਤ ਜਪਤ ਉਧਾਰੈ ਬਰਨ ਅਬਰਨਾ ਸਭਹੂੰ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ |
| gaavath sunath japath oudhhaarai baran abaranaa sabhehoon ||1|| rehaao || |
| By singing, hearing and meditating on Him, all, whether of high or low status, are saved. ||1||Pause|| |

| ਜਹ ਤੇ ਉਪਜਿਓ ਤਹੀ ਸਮਾਇਓ ਇਹ ਬਿਧਿ ਜਾਨੀ ਤਬਹੂੰ ॥ |
| jeh thae oupajiou thehee samaaeiou eih bidhh jaanee thabehoon || |
| He is absorbed into the One from which he originated, when he understands the Way. |

| ਜਹਾ ਜਹਾ ਇਹ ਦੇਹੀ ਧਾਰੀ ਰਹਨੁ ਨ ਪਾਇਓ ਕਬਹੂੰ ॥੧॥ |
| jehaa jehaa eih dhaehee dhhaaree rehan n paaeiou kabehoon ||1|| |
| Wherever this body was fashioned, it was not allowed to remain there. ||1|| |

| ਸੁਖੁ ਆਇਓ ਭੈ ਭਰਮ ਬਿਨਾਸੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲ ਹੂਏ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਜਬਹੂ ॥ |
| sukh aaeiou bhai bharam binaasae kirapaal hooeae prabh jabehoo || |
| Peace comes, and fear and doubt are dispelled, when God becomes Merciful. |

| ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਮੇਰੇ ਪੂਰੇ ਮਨੋਰਥ ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਤਜਿ ਲਬਹੂੰ ॥੨॥੪॥ |
| kahu naanak maerae poorae manorathh saadhhasang thaj labehoon ||2||4|| |
| Says Nanak, my hopes have been fulfilled, renouncing my greed in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy. ||2||4|| |

| Become the lowest of the low, the very least of the tiny, and speak in utmost humility. ||1||Pause|| |

| ਅਨਿਕ ਅਡੰਬਰ ਮਾਇਆ ਕੇ ਬਿਰਥੇ ਤਾ ਸਿਉ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਘਟਾਵਉ ॥ |
| anik addanbar maaeiaa kae birathhae thaa sio preeth ghattaavo || |
| The many ostentatious shows of Maya are useless; I withhold my love from these. |

| ਜਿਉ ਅਪੁਨੋ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਸੁਖੁ ਮਾਨੈ ਤਾ ਮਹਿ ਸੋਭਾ ਪਾਵਉ ॥੧॥ |
| jio apuno suaamee sukh maanai thaa mehi sobhaa paavo ||1|| |
| As something pleases my Lord and Master, in that I find my glory. ||1|| |
|
| ਦਾਸਨ ਦਾਸ ਰੇਣੁ ਦਾਸਨ ਕੀ ਜਨ ਕੀ ਟਹਲ ਕਮਾਵਉ ॥ |
| dhaasan dhaas raen dhaasan kee jan kee ttehal kamaavo || |
| I am the slave of His slaves; becoming the dust of the feet of his slaves, I serve His humble servants. |

| ਸਰਬ ਸੂਖ ਬਡਿਆਈ ਨਾਨਕ ਜੀਵਉ ਮੁਖਹੁ ਬੁਲਾਵਉ ॥੨॥੫॥ |
| sarab sookh baddiaaee naanak jeevo mukhahu bulaavo ||2||5|| |
| I obtain all peace and greatness, O Nanak, living to chant His Name with my mouth. ||2||5|| |

| ਕੋਟਿ ਪਰਾਧ ਮਿਟੇ ਤੇਰੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਦਰਸਨਿ ਦੂਖੁ ਉਤਾਰਿਓ ॥ |
| kott paraadhh mittae thaeree saevaa dharasan dhookh outhaariou || |
| Millions of sins are erased, by serving You; the Blessed Vision of Your Darshan drives away sorrow. |

| ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਤ ਮਹਾ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਓ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਰੋਗੁ ਬਿਦਾਰਿਓ ॥੧॥ |

| Chanting Your Name, I have obtained supreme peace, and my anxieties and diseases have been cast out. ||1|| |

| ਕਾਮੁ ਕ੍ਰੋਧੁ ਲੋਭੁ ਝੂਠੁ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਸਾਧੂ ਸੰਗਿ ਬਿਸਾਰਿਓ ॥ |
| kaam krodhh lobh jhooth nindhaa saadhhoo sang bisaariou || |
| Sexual desire, anger, greed, falsehood and slander are forgotten, in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy. |

| ਮਾਇਆ ਬੰਧ ਕਾਟੇ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨਿਧਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਆਪਿ ਉਧਾਰਿਓ ॥੨॥੬॥ |
| maaeiaa bandhh kaattae kirapaa nidhh naanak aap oudhhaariou ||2||6|| |
| The ocean of mercy has cut away the bonds of Maya; O Nanak, He has saved me. ||2||6|| |

| Erasing my self-conceit, I have entered His Sanctuary; these are the Teachings spoken by the Holy Guru. |

| Surrendering to the Will of God, I attain peace, and the darkness of doubt is dispelled. ||1|| |

| I know that You are all-wise, O God, my Lord and Master; I seek Your Sanctuary. |

| ਖਿਨ ਮਹਿ ਥਾਪਿ ਉਥਾਪਨਹਾਰੇ ਕੁਦਰਤਿ ਕੀਮ ਨ ਪਹੀ ॥੨॥੭॥ |
| khin mehi thhaap outhhaapanehaarae kudharath keem n pehee ||2||7|| |
| In an instant, You establish and disestablish; the value of Your Almighty Creative Power cannot be estimated. ||2||7|| |

| Your Saints are Your Beloveds; death does not consume them. |

| ਮਹਾ ਕਿਲਬਿਖ ਕੋਟਿ ਦੋਖ ਰੋਗਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਤੁਹਾਰੀ ਹਾਤੇ ॥ |
| mehaa kilabikh kott dhokh rogaa prabh dhrisatt thuhaaree haathae || |
| The greatest sins, and millions of pains and diseases are destroyed by Your Gracious Glance, O God. |

| ਸੋਵਤ ਜਾਗਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਗਾਇਆ ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰ ਚਰਨ ਪਰਾਤੇ ॥੨॥੮॥ |
| sovath jaag har har har gaaeiaa naanak gur charan paraathae ||2||8|| |
| While sleeping and waking, Nanak sings the Lord's Name, Har, Har, Har; he falls at the Guru's feet. ||2||8|| |
