| ਹਰਿ ਨਾਰਿ ਸੁਹਾਗਣੇ ਸਭਿ ਰੰਗ ਮਾਣੇ ॥ |
| har naar suhaaganae sabh rang maanae || |
| The Lord's bride is a happy wife; she enjoys all pleasures. |

| ਰਾਂਡ ਨ ਬੈਸਈ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਪੁਰਖ ਚਿਰਾਣੇ ॥ |
| raandd n baisee prabh purakh chiraanae || |
| She does not sit around like a widow, because the Lord God lives forever. |

| ਨਹ ਦੂਖ ਪਾਵੈ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਧਿਆਵੈ ਧੰਨਿ ਤੇ ਬਡਭਾਗੀਆ ॥ |
| neh dhookh paavai prabh dhhiaavai dhhann thae baddabhaageeaa || |
| She does not suffer pain - she meditates on God. She is blessed, and very fortunate. |

| ਸੁਖ ਸਹਜਿ ਸੋਵਹਿ ਕਿਲਬਿਖ ਖੋਵਹਿ ਨਾਮ ਰਸਿ ਰੰਗਿ ਜਾਗੀਆ ॥ |
| sukh sehaj sovehi kilabikh khovehi naam ras rang jaageeaa || |
| She sleeps in peaceful ease, her sins are erased, and she wakes to the joy and love of the Naam. |

| ਮਿਲਿ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਰਹਣਾ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਗਹਣਾ ਪ੍ਰਿਅ ਬਚਨ ਮੀਠੇ ਭਾਣੇ ॥ |
| mil praem rehanaa har naam gehanaa pria bachan meethae bhaanae || |
| She remains absorbed in her Beloved - the Lord's Name is her ornament. The Words of her Beloved are sweet and pleasing to her. |

| ਬਿਨਵੰਤਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਮਨ ਇਛ ਪਾਈ ਹਰਿ ਮਿਲੇ ਪੁਰਖ ਚਿਰਾਣੇ ॥੩॥ |
| binavanth naanak man eishh paaee har milae purakh chiraanae ||3|| |
| Prays Nanak, I have obtained my mind's desires; I have met my eternal Husband Lord. ||3|| |

| ਤਿਤੁ ਗ੍ਰਿਹਿ ਸੋਹਿਲੜੇ ਕੋਡ ਅਨੰਦਾ ॥ |
| thith grihi sohilarrae kodd anandhaa || |
| The songs of bliss resound, and millions of pleasures are found in that house; |

| ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ ਰਵਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਪਰਮਾਨੰਦਾ ॥ |
| man than rav rehiaa prabh paramaanandhaa || |
| the mind and body are permeated by God, the Lord of supreme bliss. |

| ਹਰਿ ਕੰਤ ਅਨੰਤ ਦਇਆਲ ਸ੍ਰੀਧਰ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਪਤਿਤ ਉਧਾਰਣੋ ॥ |
| har kanth ananth dhaeiaal sreedhhar gobindh pathith oudhhaarano || |
| My Husband Lord is infinite and merciful; He is the Lord of wealth, the Lord of the Universe, the Saving Grace of sinners. |

| ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਧਾਰੀ ਹਰਿ ਮੁਰਾਰੀ ਭੈ ਸਿੰਧੁ ਸਾਗਰ ਤਾਰਣੋ ॥ |
| prabh kirapaa dhhaaree har muraaree bhai sindhh saagar thaarano || |
| God, the Giver of mercy, the Lord, the Destroyer of pride, carries us across the terrifying world-ocean of poison. |

| ਜੋ ਸਰਣਿ ਆਵੈ ਤਿਸੁ ਕੰਠਿ ਲਾਵੈ ਇਹੁ ਬਿਰਦੁ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਸੰਦਾ ॥ |
| jo saran aavai this kanth laavai eihu biradh suaamee sandhaa || |
| The Lord lovingly embraces whoever comes to the Lord's Sanctuary - this is the way of the Lord and Master. |

| ਬਿਨਵੰਤਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਕੰਤੁ ਮਿਲਿਆ ਸਦਾ ਕੇਲ ਕਰੰਦਾ ॥੪॥੧॥੪॥ |

| kar majan har sarae sabh kilabikh naas manaa || |
| Take your cleansing bath in the Ambrosial Pool of the Lord, and all of your sins shall be wiped away, O my soul. |
|
| ਕਰਿ ਸਦਾ ਮਜਨੁ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਸਜਨੁ ਦੁਖ ਅੰਧੇਰਾ ਨਾਸੇ ॥ |
| kar sadhaa majan gobindh sajan dhukh andhhaeraa naasae || |
| Take your cleansing ever in the Lord God, O friends, and the pain of darkness shall be dispelled. |
|
| ਜਨਮ ਮਰਣੁ ਨ ਹੋਇ ਤਿਸ ਕਉ ਕਟੈ ਜਮ ਕੇ ਫਾਸੇ ॥ |
| janam maran n hoe this ko kattai jam kae faasae || |
| Birth and death shall not touch you, and the noose of Death shall be cut away. |
|
| ਮਿਲੁ ਸਾਧਸੰਗੇ ਨਾਮ ਰੰਗੇ ਤਹਾ ਪੂਰਨ ਆਸੋ ॥ |
| mil saadhhasangae naam rangae thehaa pooran aaso || |
| So join the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, and be imbued with the Naam, the Name of the Lord; there, your hopes shall be fulfilled. |

| ਬਿਨਵੰਤਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਧਾਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਹਰਿ ਚਰਣ ਕਮਲ ਨਿਵਾਸੋ ॥੧॥ |
| binavanth naanak dhhaar kirapaa har charan kamal nivaaso ||1|| |
| Prays Nanak, shower Your Mercy upon me, O Lord, that I might dwell at Your Lotus Feet. ||1|| |

| ਤਹ ਅਨਦ ਬਿਨੋਦ ਸਦਾ ਅਨਹਦ ਝੁਣਕਾਰੋ ਰਾਮ ॥ |
| theh anadh binodh sadhaa anehadh jhunakaaro raam || |
| There is bliss and ecstasy there always, and the unstruck celestial melody resounds there. |

| ਮਿਲਿ ਗਾਵਹਿ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਾ ਜੈਕਾਰੋ ਰਾਮ ॥ |
| mil gaavehi santh janaa prabh kaa jaikaaro raam || |
| Meeting together, the Saints sing God's Praises, and celebrate His Victory. |
|
| ਮਿਲਿ ਸੰਤ ਗਾਵਹਿ ਖਸਮ ਭਾਵਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਰਸ ਰੰਗਿ ਭਿੰਨੀਆ ॥ |
| mil santh gaavehi khasam bhaavehi har praem ras rang bhinneeaa || |
| Meeting together, the Saints sing the Praises of the Lord Master; they are pleasing to the Lord, and saturated with the sublime essence of His love and affection. |
|
| ਹਰਿ ਲਾਭੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਆਪੁ ਮਿਟਾਇਆ ਮਿਲੇ ਚਿਰੀ ਵਿਛੁੰਨਿਆ ॥ |
| har laabh paaeiaa aap mittaaeiaa milae chiree vishhunniaa || |
| They obtain the profit of the Lord, eliminate their self-conceit, and meet Him, from whom they were separated for so long. |
|
| ਗਹਿ ਭੁਜਾ ਲੀਨੇ ਦਇਆ ਕੀਨ੍ਹ੍ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਏਕ ਅਗਮ ਅਪਾਰੋ ॥ |
| gehi bhujaa leenae dhaeiaa keenhae prabh eaek agam apaaro || |
| Taking them by the arm, He makes them His own; God, the One, inaccessible and infinite, bestows His kindness. |

| ਬਿਨਵੰਤਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਦਾ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਸਚੁ ਸਬਦੁ ਰੁਣ ਝੁਣਕਾਰੋ ॥੨॥ |
| binavanth naanak sadhaa niramal sach sabadh run jhunakaaro ||2|| |
| Prays Nanak, forever immaculate are those who sing the Praises of the True Word of the Shabad. ||2|| |

| ਸੁਣਿ ਵਡਭਾਗੀਆ ਹਰਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਬਾਣੀ ਰਾਮ ॥ |
| sun vaddabhaageeaa har anmrith baanee raam || |
| Listen, O most fortunate ones, to the Ambrosial Bani of the Word of the Lord. |

| ਜਿਨ ਕਉ ਕਰਮਿ ਲਿਖੀ ਤਿਸੁ ਰਿਦੈ ਸਮਾਣੀ ਰਾਮ ॥ |
| jin ko karam likhee this ridhai samaanee raam || |
| He alone, whose karma is so pre-ordained, has it enter into his heart. |
|
| ਅਕਥ ਕਹਾਣੀ ਤਿਨੀ ਜਾਣੀ ਜਿਸੁ ਆਪਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰੇ ॥ |
| akathh kehaanee thinee jaanee jis aap prabh kirapaa karae || |
| He alone knows the Unspoken Speech, unto whom God has shown His Mercy. |
|
| ਅਮਰੁ ਥੀਆ ਫਿਰਿ ਨ ਮੂਆ ਕਲਿ ਕਲੇਸਾ ਦੁਖ ਹਰੇ ॥ |
| amar thheeaa fir n mooaa kal kalaesaa dhukh harae || |
| He becomes immortal, and shall not die again; his troubles, disputes and pains are dispelled. |
|
| ਹਰਿ ਸਰਣਿ ਪਾਈ ਤਜਿ ਨ ਜਾਈ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ ਭਾਣੀ ॥ |
| har saran paaee thaj n jaaee prabh preeth man than bhaanee || |
| He finds the Sanctuary of the Lord; he does not forsake the Lord, and does not leave. God's Love is pleasing to his mind and body. |

| ਬਿਨਵੰਤਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਦਾ ਗਾਈਐ ਪਵਿਤ੍ਰ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਬਾਣੀ ॥੩॥ |
| binavanth naanak sadhaa gaaeeai pavithr anmrith baanee ||3|| |
| Prays Nanak, sing forever the Sacred Ambrosial Bani of His Word. ||3|| |

| ਮਨ ਤਨ ਗਲਤੁ ਭਏ ਕਿਛੁ ਕਹਣੁ ਨ ਜਾਈ ਰਾਮ ॥ |
| man than galath bheae kishh kehan n jaaee raam || |
| My mind and body are intoxicated - this state cannot be described. |

| ਜਿਸ ਤੇ ਉਪਜਿਅੜਾ ਤਿਨਿ ਲੀਆ ਸਮਾਈ ਰਾਮ ॥ |
| jis thae oupajiarraa thin leeaa samaaee raam || |
| We originated from Him, and into Him we shall merge once again. |
|
| ਮਿਲਿ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਜੋਤੀ ਓਤਿ ਪੋਤੀ ਉਦਕੁ ਉਦਕਿ ਸਮਾਇਆ ॥ |
| mil breham jothee outh pothee oudhak oudhak samaaeiaa || |
| I merge into God's Light, through and through, like water merging into water. |
|
| ਜਲਿ ਥਲਿ ਮਹੀਅਲਿ ਏਕੁ ਰਵਿਆ ਨਹ ਦੂਜਾ ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟਾਇਆ ॥ |
| jal thhal meheeal eaek raviaa neh dhoojaa dhrisattaaeiaa || |
| The One Lord permeates the water, the land and the sky - I do not see any other. |
|
| ਬਣਿ ਤ੍ਰਿਣਿ ਤ੍ਰਿਭਵਣਿ ਪੂਰਿ ਪੂਰਨ ਕੀਮਤਿ ਕਹਣੁ ਨ ਜਾਈ ॥ |
| ban thrin thribhavan poor pooran keemath kehan n jaaee || |
| He is totally permeating the woods, meadows and the three worlds. I cannot express His worth. |

| ਬਿਨਵੰਤਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਆਪਿ ਜਾਣੈ ਜਿਨਿ ਏਹ ਬਣਤ ਬਣਾਈ ॥੪॥੨॥੫॥ |

| khojath santh firehi prabh praan adhhaarae raam || |
| The Saints go around, searching for God, the support of their breath of life. |

| ਤਾਣੁ ਤਨੁ ਖੀਨ ਭਇਆ ਬਿਨੁ ਮਿਲਤ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਰਾਮ ॥ |
| thaan than kheen bhaeiaa bin milath piaarae raam || |
| They lose the strength of their bodies, if they do not merge with their Beloved Lord. |
|
| ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮਿਲਹੁ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਮਇਆ ਧਾਰੇ ਕਰਿ ਦਇਆ ਲੜਿ ਲਾਇ ਲੀਜੀਐ ॥ |
| prabh milahu piaarae maeiaa dhhaarae kar dhaeiaa larr laae leejeeai || |
| O God, my Beloved, please, bestow Your kindness upon me, that I may merge with You; by Your Mercy, attach me to the hem of Your robe. |

| ਦੇਹਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਅਪਨਾ ਜਪਉ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਹਰਿ ਦਰਸ ਪੇਖੇ ਜੀਜੀਐ ॥ |
| dhaehi naam apanaa japo suaamee har dharas paekhae jeejeeai || |
| Bless me with Your Name, that I may chant it, O Lord and Master; beholding the Blessed Vision of Your Darshan, I live. |

| ਸਮਰਥ ਪੂਰਨ ਸਦਾ ਨਿਹਚਲ ਊਚ ਅਗਮ ਅਪਾਰੇ ॥ |
| samarathh pooran sadhaa nihachal ooch agam apaarae || |
| He is all-powerful, perfect, eternal and unchanging, exalted, unapproachable and infinite. |

| ਬਿਨਵੰਤਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਧਾਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਮਿਲਹੁ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਪਿਆਰੇ ॥੧॥ |

| Prays Nanak, bestow Your Mercy upon me, O Beloved of my soul, that I may merge with You. ||1|| |

| ਜਪ ਤਪ ਬਰਤ ਕੀਨੇ ਪੇਖਨ ਕਉ ਚਰਣਾ ਰਾਮ ॥ |
| jap thap barath keenae paekhan ko charanaa raam || |
| I have practiced chanting, intensive meditation and fasting, to see Your Feet, O Lord. |

| ਤਪਤਿ ਨ ਕਤਹਿ ਬੁਝੈ ਬਿਨੁ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਸਰਣਾ ਰਾਮ ॥ |
| thapath n kathehi bujhai bin suaamee saranaa raam || |
| But still, my burning is not quenched, without the Sanctuary of the Lord Master. |

| ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਰਣਿ ਤੇਰੀ ਕਾਟਿ ਬੇਰੀ ਸੰਸਾਰੁ ਸਾਗਰੁ ਤਾਰੀਐ ॥ |
| prabh saran thaeree kaatt baeree sansaar saagar thaareeai || |
| I seek Your Sanctuary, God - please, cut away my bonds and carry me across the world-ocean. |

| ਅਨਾਥ ਨਿਰਗੁਨਿ ਕਛੁ ਨ ਜਾਨਾ ਮੇਰਾ ਗੁਣੁ ਅਉਗਣੁ ਨ ਬੀਚਾਰੀਐ ॥ |
| anaathh niragun kashh n jaanaa maeraa gun aougan n beechaareeai || |
| I am masterless, worthless, and I know nothing; please do not count up my merits and demerits. |

| ਦੀਨ ਦਇਆਲ ਗੋਪਾਲ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਸਮਰਥ ਕਾਰਣ ਕਰਣਾ ॥ |
| dheen dhaeiaal gopaal preetham samarathh kaaran karanaa || |
| O Lord, Merciful to the meek, Sustainer of the world, O Beloved, Almighty Cause of causes. |

| ਅਮਿਅ ਸਰੋਵਰੋ ਪੀਉ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮਾ ਰਾਮ ॥ |
| amia sarovaro peeo har har naamaa raam || |
| Drink in the Ambrosial Nectar from the pool of the Lord; chant the Name of the Lord, Har, Har. |

| ਸੰਤਹ ਸੰਗਿ ਮਿਲੈ ਜਪਿ ਪੂਰਨ ਕਾਮਾ ਰਾਮ ॥ |
| santheh sang milai jap pooran kaamaa raam || |
| In the Society of the Saints, one meets the Lord; meditating on Him, one's affairs are resolved. |
