| ਜਿਸੁ ਕਾਰਣਿ ਹਉ ਸੀਗਾਰੁ ਸੀਗਾਰੀ ਸੋ ਪਿਰੁ ਰਤਾ ਮੇਰਾ ਅਵਰਾ ॥ |
| jis kaaran ho seegaar seegaaree so pir rathaa maeraa avaraa || |
| For His sake, I adorn myself with adornments, but my Husband is imbued with the love of another. |

| ਨਾਨਕ ਧਨੁ ਧੰਨੁ ਧੰਨੁ ਸੋਹਾਗਣਿ ਜਿਨਿ ਪਿਰੁ ਰਾਵਿਅੜਾ ਸਚੁ ਸਵਰਾ ॥੨॥ |
| naanak dhhan dhhann dhhann sohaagan jin pir raaviarraa sach savaraa ||2|| |
| O Nanak, blessed, blessed, blessed is that soul-bride, who enjoys her True, Sublime Husband Lord. ||2|| |

| ਹਉ ਜਾਇ ਪੁਛਾ ਸੋਹਾਗ ਸੁਹਾਗਣਿ ਤੁਸੀ ਕਿਉ ਪਿਰੁ ਪਾਇਅੜਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਮੇਰਾ ॥ |
| ho jaae pushhaa sohaag suhaagan thusee kio pir paaeiarraa prabh maeraa || |
| I go and ask the fortunate, happy soul-bride, ""How did you attain Him - your Husband Lord, my God?"" |

| ਮੈ ਊਪਰਿ ਨਦਰਿ ਕਰੀ ਪਿਰਿ ਸਾਚੈ ਮੈ ਛੋਡਿਅੜਾ ਮੇਰਾ ਤੇਰਾ ॥ |
| mai oopar nadhar karee pir saachai mai shhoddiarraa maeraa thaeraa || |
| She answers, ""My True Husband blessed me with His Mercy; I abandoned the distinction between mine and yours. |

| ਸਭੁ ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਜੀਉ ਕਰਹੁ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਾ ਇਤੁ ਮਾਰਗਿ ਭੈਣੇ ਮਿਲੀਐ ॥ |
| sabh man than jeeo karahu har prabh kaa eith maarag bhainae mileeai || |
| Dedicate everything, mind, body and soul, to the Lord God; this is the Path to meet Him, O sister."" |

| ਆਪਨੜਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਨਦਰਿ ਕਰਿ ਦੇਖੈ ਨਾਨਕ ਜੋਤਿ ਜੋਤੀ ਰਲੀਐ ॥੩॥ |
| aapanarraa prabh nadhar kar dhaekhai naanak joth jothee raleeai ||3|| |
| If her God gazes upon her with favor, O Nanak, her light merges into the Light. ||3|| |
|
| ਜੋ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਾ ਮੈ ਦੇਇ ਸਨੇਹਾ ਤਿਸੁ ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਅਪਣਾ ਦੇਵਾ ॥ |
| jo har prabh kaa mai dhaee sanaehaa this man than apanaa dhaevaa || |
| I dedicate my mind and body to the one who brings me a message from my Lord God. |

| ਨਿਤ ਪਖਾ ਫੇਰੀ ਸੇਵ ਕਮਾਵਾ ਤਿਸੁ ਆਗੈ ਪਾਣੀ ਢੋਵਾਂ ॥ |
| nith pakhaa faeree saev kamaavaa this aagai paanee dtovaan || |
| I wave the fan over him every day, serve him and carry water for him. |

| ਧਨੁ ਧੰਨੁ ਗੁਰੂ ਗੁਰ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰਾ ਨਾਨਕ ਮਨਿ ਆਸ ਪੁਜਾਏ ॥੪॥ |
| dhhan dhhann guroo gur sathigur pooraa naanak man aas pujaaeae ||4|| |
| Hail, hail unto the Guru, the Guru, the Perfect True Guru, who fulfills Nanak's heart's desires. ||4|| |

| ਗੁਰੁ ਸਜਣੁ ਮੇਰਾ ਮੇਲਿ ਹਰੇ ਜਿਤੁ ਮਿਲਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਵਾ ॥ |
| gur sajan maeraa mael harae jith mil har naam dhhiaavaa || |
| O Lord, let me meet the Guru, my best friend; meeting Him, I meditate on the Lord's Name. |

| ਗੁਰ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪਾਸਹੁ ਹਰਿ ਗੋਸਟਿ ਪੂਛਾਂ ਕਰਿ ਸਾਂਝੀ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਾਂ ॥ |
| gur sathigur paasahu har gosatt pooshhaan kar saanjhee har gun gaavaan || |
| I seek the Lord's sermon from the Guru, the True Guru; joining with Him, I sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord. |

| ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਾ ਨਿਤ ਨਿਤ ਸਦ ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਮਨੁ ਜੀਵੈ ਨਾਮੁ ਸੁਣਿ ਤੇਰਾ ॥ |
| gun gaavaa nith nith sadh har kae man jeevai naam sun thaeraa || |
| Each and every day, forever, I sing the Lord's Praises; my mind lives by hearing Your Name. |

| ਨਾਨਕ ਜਿਤੁ ਵੇਲਾ ਵਿਸਰੈ ਮੇਰਾ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਤਿਤੁ ਵੇਲੈ ਮਰਿ ਜਾਇ ਜੀਉ ਮੇਰਾ ॥੫॥ |
| naanak jith vaelaa visarai maeraa suaamee thith vaelai mar jaae jeeo maeraa ||5|| |
| O Nanak, that moment when I forget my Lord and Master - at that moment, my soul dies. ||5|| |

| ਹਰਿ ਵੇਖਣ ਕਉ ਸਭੁ ਕੋਈ ਲੋਚੈ ਸੋ ਵੇਖੈ ਜਿਸੁ ਆਪਿ ਵਿਖਾਲੇ ॥ |
| har vaekhan ko sabh koee lochai so vaekhai jis aap vikhaalae || |
| Everyone longs to see the Lord, but he alone sees Him, whom the Lord causes to see Him. |

| ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਨਦਰਿ ਕਰੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਸੋ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਸਦਾ ਸਮਾਲੇ ॥ |
| jis no nadhar karae maeraa piaaraa so har har sadhaa samaalae || |
| One upon whom my Beloved bestows His Glance of Grace, cherishes the Lord, Har, Har forever. |

| ਸੋ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਸਮਾਲੇ ਜਿਸੁ ਸਤਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰਾ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਿਲਿਆ ॥ |
| so har har naam sadhaa sadhaa samaalae jis sathagur pooraa maeraa miliaa || |
| He alone cherishes the Lord, Har, Har, forever and ever, who meets my Perfect True Guru. |

| ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਜਨ ਹਰਿ ਇਕੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਰਿ ਜਪਿ ਹਰਿ ਸੇਤੀ ਰਲਿਆ ॥੬॥੧॥੩॥ |

| His Darbaar, His Court, is the most lofty and exalted. |

| ਅੰਤੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਕਿਛੁ ਪਾਰਾਵਾਰਾ ॥ |
| anth naahee kishh paaraavaaraa || |
| It has no end or limitations. |
|
| ਕੋਟਿ ਕੋਟਿ ਕੋਟਿ ਲਖ ਧਾਵੈ ॥ |
| kott kott kott lakh dhhaavai || |
| Millions, millions, tens of millions seek, |
|
| ਇਕੁ ਤਿਲੁ ਤਾ ਕਾ ਮਹਲੁ ਨ ਪਾਵੈ ॥੧॥ |
| eik thil thaa kaa mehal n paavai ||1|| |
| but they cannot find even a tiny bit of His Mansion. ||1|| |

| ਸੁਹਾਵੀ ਕਉਣੁ ਸੁ ਵੇਲਾ ਜਿਤੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮੇਲਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ |

| Tens of thousands of devotees worship Him in adoration. |
|
| ਲਾਖ ਤਪੀਸਰ ਤਪੁ ਹੀ ਸਾਧਹਿ ॥ |
| laakh thapeesar thap hee saadhhehi || |
| Tens of thousands of ascetics practice austere discipline. |
|
| ਲਾਖ ਜੋਗੀਸਰ ਕਰਤੇ ਜੋਗਾ ॥ |
| laakh jogeesar karathae jogaa || |
| Tens of thousands of Yogis practice Yoga. |
|
| ਲਾਖ ਭੋਗੀਸਰ ਭੋਗਹਿ ਭੋਗਾ ॥੨॥ |
| laakh bhogeesar bhogehi bhogaa ||2|| |
| Tens of thousands of pleasure seekers seek pleasure. ||2|| |
|
| ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਵਸਹਿ ਜਾਣਹਿ ਥੋਰਾ ॥ |
| ghatt ghatt vasehi jaanehi thhoraa || |
| He dwells in each and every heart, but only a few know this. |
|
| ਹੈ ਕੋਈ ਸਾਜਣੁ ਪਰਦਾ ਤੋਰਾ ॥ |
| hai koee saajan paradhaa thoraa || |
| Is there any friend who can rip apart the screen of separation? |
|
| ਕਰਉ ਜਤਨ ਜੇ ਹੋਇ ਮਿਹਰਵਾਨਾ ॥ |
| karo jathan jae hoe miharavaanaa || |
| I can only make the effort, if the Lord is merciful to me. |
|
| ਤਾ ਕਉ ਦੇਈ ਜੀਉ ਕੁਰਬਾਨਾ ॥੩॥ |
| thaa ko dhaeee jeeo kurabaanaa ||3|| |
| I sacrifice my body and soul to Him. ||3|| |
|
| ਫਿਰਤ ਫਿਰਤ ਸੰਤਨ ਪਹਿ ਆਇਆ ॥ |
| firath firath santhan pehi aaeiaa || |
| After wandering around for so long, I have finally come to the Saints; |
|
| ਦੂਖ ਭ੍ਰਮੁ ਹਮਾਰਾ ਸਗਲ ਮਿਟਾਇਆ ॥ |
| dhookh bhram hamaaraa sagal mittaaeiaa || |
| all of my pains and doubts have been eradicated. |
|
| ਮਹਲਿ ਬੁਲਾਇਆ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਭੂੰਚਾ ॥ |
| mehal bulaaeiaa prabh anmrith bhoonchaa || |
| God summoned me to the Mansion of His Presence, and blessed me with the Ambrosial Nectar of His Name. |

| ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਮੇਰਾ ਊਚਾ ॥੪॥੧॥ |

| Blessed is that time, when the Blessed Vision of His Darshan is given; |

| ਹਉ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਚਰਣਾ ॥੧॥ |
| ho balihaaree sathigur charanaa ||1|| |
| I am a sacrifice to the feet of the True Guru. ||1|| |
|
| ਜੀਅ ਕੇ ਦਾਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮੇਰੇ ॥ |
| jeea kae dhaathae preetham prabh maerae || |
| You are the Giver of souls, O my Beloved God. |
|
| ਮਨੁ ਜੀਵੈ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਨਾਮੁ ਚਿਤੇਰੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ |
| man jeevai prabh naam chithaerae ||1|| rehaao || |
| My soul lives by reflecting upon the Name of God. ||1||Pause|| |

| ਸਚੁ ਮੰਤ੍ਰੁ ਤੁਮਾਰਾ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਬਾਣੀ ॥ |
| sach manthra thumaaraa anmrith baanee || |
| True is Your Mantra, Ambrosial is the Bani of Your Word. |

| ਸੀਤਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਸੁਜਾਣੀ ॥੨॥ |
| seethal purakh dhrisatt sujaanee ||2|| |
| Cooling and soothing is Your Presence, all-knowing is Your gaze. ||2|| |

| ਸਚੁ ਹੁਕਮੁ ਤੁਮਾਰਾ ਤਖਤਿ ਨਿਵਾਸੀ ॥ |
| sach hukam thumaaraa thakhath nivaasee || |
| True is Your Command; You sit upon the eternal throne. |

| ਆਇ ਨ ਜਾਵੈ ਮੇਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ॥੩॥ |
| aae n jaavai maeraa prabh abinaasee ||3|| |
| My eternal God does not come or go. ||3|| |
|
| ਤੁਮ ਮਿਹਰਵਾਨ ਦਾਸ ਹਮ ਦੀਨਾ ॥ |
| thum miharavaan dhaas ham dheenaa || |
| You are the Merciful Master; I am Your humble servant. |

| ਨਾਨਕ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਭਰਪੁਰਿ ਲੀਣਾ ॥੪॥੨॥ |

| O Nanak, the Lord and Master is totally permeating and pervading everywhere. ||4||2|| |
