| ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮਿ ਸਾਜਿ ਸਵਾਰਿਆ ॥ |
| paarabreham saaj savaariaa || |
| The Supreme Lord God created and embellished him. |
|
| ਇਹੁ ਲਹੁੜਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਉਬਾਰਿਆ ॥ |
| eihu lahurraa guroo oubaariaa || |
| The Guru has saved this small child. |
|
| ਅਨਦ ਕਰਹੁ ਪਿਤ ਮਾਤਾ ॥ |
| anadh karahu pith maathaa || |
| So celebrate and be happy, father and mother. |
|
| ਪਰਮੇਸਰੁ ਜੀਅ ਕਾ ਦਾਤਾ ॥੧॥ |
| paramaesar jeea kaa dhaathaa ||1|| |
| The Transcendent Lord is the Giver of souls. ||1|| |

| ਸੁਭ ਚਿਤਵਨਿ ਦਾਸ ਤੁਮਾਰੇ ॥ |
| subh chithavan dhaas thumaarae || |
| Your slaves, O Lord, focus on pure thoughts. |
|
| ਰਾਖਹਿ ਪੈਜ ਦਾਸ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਕੀ ਕਾਰਜ ਆਪਿ ਸਵਾਰੇ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ |
| raakhehi paij dhaas apunae kee kaaraj aap savaarae || rehaao || |
| You preserve the honor of Your slaves, and You Yourself arrange their affairs. ||Pause|| |

| ਮੇਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਪਰਉਪਕਾਰੀ ॥ |
| maeraa prabh paroupakaaree || |
| My God is so benevolent. |
|
| ਪੂਰਨ ਕਲ ਜਿਨਿ ਧਾਰੀ ॥ |
| pooran kal jin dhhaaree || |
| His Almighty Power is manifest. |
|
| ਨਾਨਕ ਸਰਣੀ ਆਇਆ ॥ |

| Nanak has come to His Sanctuary. |

| ਮਨ ਚਿੰਦਿਆ ਫਲੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੨॥੧੦॥੭੪॥ |

| He has obtained the fruits of his mind's desires. ||2||10||74|| |

| ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਹਰਿ ਜਾਪੇ ॥ |
| sadhaa sadhaa har jaapae || |
| Forever and ever, I chant the Lord's Name. |
|
| ਪ੍ਰਭ ਬਾਲਕ ਰਾਖੇ ਆਪੇ ॥ |
| prabh baalak raakhae aapae || |
| God Himself has saved my child. |
|
| ਸੀਤਲਾ ਠਾਕਿ ਰਹਾਈ ॥ |
| seethalaa thaak rehaaee || |
| He healed him from the smallpox. |
|
| ਬਿਘਨ ਗਏ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਈ ॥੧॥ |
| bighan geae har naaee ||1|| |
| My troubles have been removed through the Lord's Name. ||1|| |
|
| ਮੇਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਹੋਆ ਸਦਾ ਦਇਆਲਾ ॥ |

| My God is forever Merciful. |

| ਅਰਦਾਸਿ ਸੁਣੀ ਭਗਤ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਕੀ ਸਭ ਜੀਅ ਭਇਆ ਕਿਰਪਾਲਾ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ |
| aradhaas sunee bhagath apunae kee sabh jeea bhaeiaa kirapaalaa || rehaao || |
| He heard the prayer of His devotee, and now all beings are kind and compassionate to him. ||Pause|| |
|
| ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਰਣ ਕਾਰਣ ਸਮਰਾਥਾ ॥ |
| prabh karan kaaran samaraathhaa || |
| God is Almighty, the Cause of causes. |
|
| ਹਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਤ ਸਭੁ ਦੁਖੁ ਲਾਥਾ ॥ |
| har simarath sabh dhukh laathhaa || |
| Remembering the Lord in meditation, all pains and sorrows vanish. |
|
| ਅਪਣੇ ਦਾਸ ਕੀ ਸੁਣੀ ਬੇਨੰਤੀ ॥ |
| apanae dhaas kee sunee baenanthee || |
| He has heard the prayer of His slave. |
|
| ਸਭ ਨਾਨਕ ਸੁਖਿ ਸਵੰਤੀ ॥੨॥੧੧॥੭੫॥ |
| sabh naanak sukh savanthee ||2||11||75|| |
| O Nanak, now everyone sleeps in peace. ||2||11||75|| |

| ਅਪਨਾ ਗੁਰੂ ਧਿਆਏ ॥ |

| I meditated on my Guru. |
|
| ਮਿਲਿ ਕੁਸਲ ਸੇਤੀ ਘਰਿ ਆਏ ॥ |
| mil kusal saethee ghar aaeae || |
| I met with Him, and returned home in joy. |
|
| ਨਾਮੈ ਕੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ॥ |
| naamai kee vaddiaaee || |
| This is the glorious greatness of the Naam. |
|
| ਤਿਸੁ ਕੀਮਤਿ ਕਹਣੁ ਨ ਜਾਈ ॥੧॥ |
| this keemath kehan n jaaee ||1|| |
| Its value cannot be estimated. ||1|| |
|
| ਸੰਤਹੁ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਆਰਾਧਹੁ ॥ |
| santhahu har har har aaraadhhahu || |
| O Saints, worship and adore the Lord, Har, Har, Har. |
|
| ਹਰਿ ਆਰਾਧਿ ਸਭੋ ਕਿਛੁ ਪਾਈਐ ਕਾਰਜ ਸਗਲੇ ਸਾਧਹੁ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ |
| har aaraadhh sabho kishh paaeeai kaaraj sagalae saadhhahu || rehaao || |
| Worship the Lord in adoration, and you shall obtain everything; your affairs shall all be resolved. ||Pause|| |
|
| ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਭਗਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਲਾਗੀ ॥ |
| praem bhagath prabh laagee || |
| He alone is attached in loving devotion to God, |
|
| ਸੋ ਪਾਏ ਜਿਸੁ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ॥ |
| so paaeae jis vaddabhaagee || |
| who realizes his great destiny. |
|
| ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇਆ ॥ |

| Servant Nanak meditates on the Naam, the Name of the Lord. |

| ਤਿਨਿ ਸਰਬ ਸੁਖਾ ਫਲ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੨॥੧੨॥੭੬॥ |
| thin sarab sukhaa fal paaeiaa ||2||12||76|| |
| He obtains the rewards of all joys and peace. ||2||12||76|| |

| The Transcendent Lord has given me His support. |

| ਦੁਖ ਰੋਗ ਕਾ ਡੇਰਾ ਭੰਨਾ ॥ |
| dhukh rog kaa ddaeraa bhannaa || |
| The house of pain and disease has been demolished. |
|
| ਅਨਦ ਕਰਹਿ ਨਰ ਨਾਰੀ ॥ |
| anadh karehi nar naaree || |
| The men and women celebrate. |
|
| ਸੰਤਹੁ ਸੁਖੁ ਹੋਆ ਸਭ ਥਾਈ ॥ |
| santhahu sukh hoaa sabh thhaaee || |
| O Saints, there is peace everywhere. |
|
| ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਪੂਰਨ ਪਰਮੇਸਰੁ ਰਵਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਸਭਨੀ ਜਾਈ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ |
| paarabreham pooran paramaesar rav rehiaa sabhanee jaaee || rehaao || |
| The Supreme Lord God, the Perfect Transcendent Lord, is pervading everywhere. ||Pause|| |
|
| ਧੁਰ ਕੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਆਈ ॥ |
| dhhur kee baanee aaee || |
| The Bani of His Word emanated from the Primal Lord. |
|
| ਤਿਨਿ ਸਗਲੀ ਚਿੰਤ ਮਿਟਾਈ ॥ |
| thin sagalee chinth mittaaee || |
| It eradicates all anxiety. |
|
| ਦਇਆਲ ਪੁਰਖ ਮਿਹਰਵਾਨਾ ॥ |
| dhaeiaal purakh miharavaanaa || |
| The Lord is merciful, kind and compassionate. |
|
| ਹਰਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਾਚੁ ਵਖਾਨਾ ॥੨॥੧੩॥੭੭॥ |

| Nanak chants the Naam, the Name of the True Lord. ||2||13||77|| |

| prabh sathigur dheen dhaeiaalaa || |
| God, the True Guru, is Merciful to the meek. |
|
| ਦਾਸ ਅਪਨੇ ਆਪਿ ਰਾਖੇ ॥ |
| dhaas apanae aap raakhae || |
| He Himself protects His slaves. |
|
| ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਸਬਦੁ ਸੁਭਾਖੇ ॥੧॥ |
| ghatt ghatt sabadh subhaakhae ||1|| |
| In each and every heart, the Beautiful Word of His Shabad resounds. ||1|| |
|
| ਗੁਰ ਕੇ ਚਰਣ ਊਪਰਿ ਬਲਿ ਜਾਈ ॥ |
| gur kae charan oopar bal jaaee || |
| I am a sacrifice to the Guru's Feet. |
