| jin thum bhaejae thinehi bulaaeae sukh sehaj saethee ghar aao || |
| The One who sent you, has now recalled you; return to your home now in peace and pleasure. |

| ਅਨਦ ਮੰਗਲ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਉ ਸਹਜ ਧੁਨਿ ਨਿਹਚਲ ਰਾਜੁ ਕਮਾਉ ॥੧॥ |
| anadh mangal gun gaao sehaj dhhun nihachal raaj kamaao ||1|| |
| In bliss and ecstasy, sing His Glorious Praises; by this celestial tune, you shall acquire your everlasting kingdom. ||1|| |

| ਤੁਮ ਘਰਿ ਆਵਹੁ ਮੇਰੇ ਮੀਤ ॥ |

| Come back to your home, O my friend. |

| ਤੁਮਰੇ ਦੋਖੀ ਹਰਿ ਆਪਿ ਨਿਵਾਰੇ ਅਪਦਾ ਭਈ ਬਿਤੀਤ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ |
| thumarae dhokhee har aap nivaarae apadhaa bhee bitheeth || rehaao || |
| The Lord Himself has eliminated your enemies, and your misfortunes are past. ||Pause|| |

| ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਕੀਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਰਨੇਹਾਰੇ ਨਾਸਨ ਭਾਜਨ ਥਾਕੇ ॥ |
| pragatt keenae prabh karanaehaarae naasan bhaajan thhaakae || |
| God, the Creator Lord, has glorified you, and your running and rushing around has ended. |

| ਘਰਿ ਮੰਗਲ ਵਾਜਹਿ ਨਿਤ ਵਾਜੇ ਅਪੁਨੈ ਖਸਮਿ ਨਿਵਾਜੇ ॥੨॥ |
| ghar mangal vaajehi nith vaajae apunai khasam nivaajae ||2|| |
| In your home, there is rejoicing; the musical instruments continually play, and your Husband Lord has exalted you. ||2|| |
|
| ਅਸਥਿਰ ਰਹਹੁ ਡੋਲਹੁ ਮਤ ਕਬਹੂ ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਬਚਨਿ ਅਧਾਰਿ ॥ |
| asathhir rehahu ddolahu math kabehoo gur kai bachan adhhaar || |
| Remain firm and steady, and do not ever waver; take the Guru's Word as your Support. |

| ਜੈ ਜੈ ਕਾਰੁ ਸਗਲ ਭੂ ਮੰਡਲ ਮੁਖ ਊਜਲ ਦਰਬਾਰ ॥੩॥ |
| jai jai kaar sagal bhoo manddal mukh oojal dharabaar ||3|| |
| You shall be applauded and congratulated all over the world, and your face shall be radiant in the Court of the Lord. ||3|| |
|
| ਜਿਨ ਕੇ ਜੀਅ ਤਿਨੈ ਹੀ ਫੇਰੇ ਆਪੇ ਭਇਆ ਸਹਾਈ ॥ |
| jin kae jeea thinai hee faerae aapae bhaeiaa sehaaee || |
| All beings belong to Him; He Himself transforms them, and He Himself becomes their help and support. |

| ਅਚਰਜੁ ਕੀਆ ਕਰਨੈਹਾਰੈ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਚੁ ਵਡਿਆਈ ॥੪॥੪॥੨੮॥ |

| Without the Lord, no one is liberated. ||Pause|| |

| man niramal karam kar thaaran tharan har avar janjaal thaerai kaahoo n kaam jeeo || |
| O mind, do only deeds of purity; the Lord is the only boat to carry you across. Other entanglements shall be of no use to you. |

| ਜੀਵਨ ਦੇਵਾ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਸੇਵਾ ਇਹੁ ਉਪਦੇਸੁ ਮੋ ਕਉ ਗੁਰਿ ਦੀਨਾ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥ |
| jeevan dhaevaa paarabreham saevaa eihu oupadhaes mo ko gur dheenaa jeeo ||1|| |
| True living is serving the Divine, Supreme Lord God; the Guru has imparted this teaching to me. ||1|| |

| ਤਿਸੁ ਸਿਉ ਨ ਲਾਈਐ ਹੀਤੁ ਜਾ ਕੋ ਕਿਛੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਬੀਤੁ ਅੰਤ ਕੀ ਬਾਰ ਓਹੁ ਸੰਗਿ ਨ ਚਾਲੈ ॥ |

| Do not fall in love with trivial things; in the end, they shall not go along with you. |

| ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ ਤੂ ਆਰਾਧ ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਸਾਧ ਜਾ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਤੇਰੇ ਬੰਧਨ ਛੂਟੈ ॥੨॥ |
| man than thoo aaraadhh har kae preetham saadhh jaa kai sang thaerae bandhhan shhoottai ||2|| |
| Worship and adore the Lord with your mind and body, O Beloved Saint of the Lord; in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, you shall be released from bondage. ||2|| |

| ਗਹੁ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਸਰਨ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਕਮਲ ਚਰਨ ਅਵਰ ਆਸ ਕਛੁ ਪਟਲੁ ਨ ਕੀਜੈ ॥ |
| gahu paarabreham saran hiradhai kamal charan avar aas kashh pattal n keejai || |
| In your heart, hold fast to the Sanctuary of the lotus feet of the Supreme Lord God; do not place your hopes in any other support. |

| ਸੋਈ ਭਗਤੁ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਧਿਆਨੀ ਤਪਾ ਸੋਈ ਨਾਨਕ ਜਾ ਕਉ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕੀਜੈ ॥੩॥੧॥੨੯॥ |
| soee bhagath giaanee dhhiaanee thapaa soee naanak jaa ko kirapaa keejai ||3||1||29|| |
| He alone is a devotee, spiritually wise, a meditator, and a penitent, O Nanak, who is blessed by the Lord's Mercy. ||3||1||29|| |

| maerae laal bhalo rae bhalo rae bhalo har manganaa || |
| O my dear beloved, it is good, it is better, it is best, to ask for the Lord's Name. |

| ਦੇਖਹੁ ਪਸਾਰਿ ਨੈਨ ਸੁਨਹੁ ਸਾਧੂ ਕੇ ਬੈਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਨਪਤਿ ਚਿਤਿ ਰਾਖੁ ਸਗਲ ਹੈ ਮਰਨਾ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ |
| dhaekhahu pasaar nain sunahu saadhhoo kae bain praanapath chith raakh sagal hai maranaa || rehaao || |
| Behold, with your eyes wide-open, and listen to the Words of the Holy Saints; enshrine in your consciousness the Lord of Life - remember that all must die. ||Pause|| |

| ਚੰਦਨ ਚੋਆ ਰਸ ਭੋਗ ਕਰਤ ਅਨੇਕੈ ਬਿਖਿਆ ਬਿਕਾਰ ਦੇਖੁ ਸਗਲ ਹੈ ਫੀਕੇ ਏਕੈ ਗੋਬਿਦ ਕੋ ਨਾਮੁ ਨੀਕੋ ਕਹਤ ਹੈ ਸਾਧ ਜਨ ॥ |
| chandhan choaa ras bhog karath anaekai bikhiaa bikaar dhaekh sagal hai feekae eaekai gobidh ko naam neeko kehath hai saadhh jan || |
| The application of sandalwood oil, the enjoyment of pleasures and the practice of many corrupt sins - look upon all of these as insipid and worthless. The Name of the Lord of the Universe alone is sublime; so say the Holy Saints. |

| ਤਨੁ ਧਨੁ ਆਪਨ ਥਾਪਿਓ ਹਰਿ ਜਪੁ ਨ ਨਿਮਖ ਜਾਪਿਓ ਅਰਥੁ ਦ੍ਰਬੁ ਦੇਖੁ ਕਛੁ ਸੰਗਿ ਨਾਹੀ ਚਲਨਾ ॥੧॥ |
| than dhhan aapan thhaapiou har jap n nimakh jaapiou arathh dhrab dhaekh kashh sang naahee chalanaa ||1|| |
| You claim that your body and wealth are your own; you do not chant the Lord's Name even for an instant. Look and see, that none of your possessions or riches shall go along with you. ||1|| |

| ਜਾ ਕੋ ਰੇ ਕਰਮੁ ਭਲਾ ਤਿਨਿ ਓਟ ਗਹੀ ਸੰਤ ਪਲਾ ਤਿਨ ਨਾਹੀ ਰੇ ਜਮੁ ਸੰਤਾਵੈ ਸਾਧੂ ਕੀ ਸੰਗਨਾ ॥ |
| jaa ko rae karam bhalaa thin outt gehee santh palaa thin naahee rae jam santhaavai saadhhoo kee sanganaa || |
| One who has good karma, grasps the Protection of the hem of the Saint's robe; in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, the Messenger of Death cannot threaten him. |

| Meditate in remembrance on the One Lord; meditate in remembrance on the One Lord; meditate in remembrance on the One Lord, O my Beloved. |

| ਕਲਿ ਕਲੇਸ ਲੋਭ ਮੋਹ ਮਹਾ ਭਉਜਲੁ ਤਾਰੇ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ |
| kal kalaes lobh moh mehaa bhoujal thaarae || rehaao || |
| He shall save you from strife, suffering, greed, attachment, and the most terrifying world-ocean. ||Pause|| |

| ਸਾਸਿ ਸਾਸਿ ਨਿਮਖ ਨਿਮਖ ਦਿਨਸੁ ਰੈਨਿ ਚਿਤਾਰੇ ॥ |
| saas saas nimakh nimakh dhinas rain chithaarae || |
| With each and every breath, each and every instant, day and night, dwell upon Him. |

| ਸਾਧਸੰਗ ਜਪਿ ਨਿਸੰਗ ਮਨਿ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਧਾਰੇ ॥੧॥ |
| saadhhasang jap nisang man nidhhaan dhhaarae ||1|| |
| In the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, meditate on Him fearlessly, and enshrine the treasure of His Name in your mind. ||1|| |

| ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਨਮਸਕਾਰ ਗੁਨ ਗੋਬਿਦ ਬੀਚਾਰੇ ॥ |

| Worship His lotus feet, and contemplate the glorious virtues of the Lord of the Universe. |

| ਇਹ ਲੋਕਿ ਪਰਲੋਕਿ ਸੰਗਿ ਸਹਾਈ ਜਤ ਕਤ ਮੋਹਿ ਰਖਵਾਲੇ ॥੧॥ |
| eih lok paralok sang sehaaee jath kath mohi rakhavaalae ||1|| |
| In this world, and in the world beyond, He is with me, as my help and support; wherever I go, He protects me. ||1|| |

| ਗੁਰ ਕਾ ਬਚਨੁ ਬਸੈ ਜੀਅ ਨਾਲੇ ॥ |

| The Guru's Word abides with my soul. |

| ਜਲਿ ਨਹੀ ਡੂਬੈ ਤਸਕਰੁ ਨਹੀ ਲੇਵੈ ਭਾਹਿ ਨ ਸਾਕੈ ਜਾਲੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ |
| jal nehee ddoobai thasakar nehee laevai bhaahi n saakai jaalae ||1|| rehaao || |
| It does not sink in water; thieves cannot steal it, and fire cannot burn it. ||1||Pause|| |

| ਨਿਰਧਨ ਕਉ ਧਨੁ ਅੰਧੁਲੇ ਕਉ ਟਿਕ ਮਾਤ ਦੂਧੁ ਜੈਸੇ ਬਾਲੇ ॥ |
| niradhhan ko dhhan andhhulae ko ttik maath dhoodhh jaisae baalae || |
| It is like wealth to the poor, a cane for the blind, and mother's milk for the infant. |

| saagar mehi bohithh paaeiou har naanak karee kirapaa kirapaalae ||2||1||32|| |
| In the ocean of the world, I have found the boat of the Lord; the Merciful Lord has bestowed His Mercy upon Nanak. ||2||1||32|| |

| bheae kirapaal dhaeiaal gobindhaa anmrith ridhai sinchaaee || |
| The Lord of the Universe has become kind and merciful; His Ambrosial Nectar permeates my heart. |

| ਨਵ ਨਿਧਿ ਰਿਧਿ ਸਿਧਿ ਹਰਿ ਲਾਗਿ ਰਹੀ ਜਨ ਪਾਈ ॥੧॥ |
| nav nidhh ridhh sidhh har laag rehee jan paaee ||1|| |
| The nine treasures, riches and the miraculous spiritual powers of the Siddhas cling to the feet of the Lord's humble servant. ||1|| |

| ਸੰਤਨ ਕਉ ਅਨਦੁ ਸਗਲ ਹੀ ਜਾਈ ॥ |

| The Saints are in ecstasy everywhere. |

| ਗ੍ਰਿਹਿ ਬਾਹਰਿ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਭਗਤਨ ਕਾ ਰਵਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਸ੍ਰਬ ਠਾਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ |
| grihi baahar thaakur bhagathan kaa rav rehiaa srab thaaee ||1|| rehaao || |
| Within the home, and outside as well, the Lord and Master of His devotees is totally pervading and permeating everywhere. ||1||Pause|| |
|
| ਤਾ ਕਉ ਕੋਇ ਨ ਪਹੁਚਨਹਾਰਾ ਜਾ ਕੈ ਅੰਗਿ ਗੁਸਾਈ ॥ |
| thaa ko koe n pahuchanehaaraa jaa kai ang gusaaee || |
| No one can equal one who has the Lord of the Universe on his side. |

| ਜਮ ਕੀ ਤ੍ਰਾਸ ਮਿਟੈ ਜਿਸੁ ਸਿਮਰਤ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਈ ॥੨॥੨॥੩੩॥ |
| jam kee thraas mittai jis simarath naanak naam dhhiaaee ||2||2||33|| |
| The fear of the Messenger of Death is eradicated, remembering Him in meditation; Nanak meditates on the Naam, the Name of the Lord. ||2||2||33|| |
