| ਜਿਨ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਹਰਿ ਆਰਾਧਿਆ ਸੇ ਸਾਹ ਵਡ ਦਾਣੇ ॥ |
| jin guramukh har aaraadhhiaa sae saah vadd dhaanae || |
| Those Gurmukhs who worship and adore the Lord, are wealthy and very wise. |

| ho sathigur ko sadh vaariaa gur bachan samaanae ||20|| |
| I am forever a sacrifice to the True Guru; I am absorbed in the Words of the Guru's Teachings. ||20|| |

| ਤੂ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਤੂ ਸਾਹਿਬੋ ਤੂਹੈ ਮੇਰਾ ਮੀਰਾ ॥ |

| You are the Master, my Lord and Master; You are my Ruler and King. |

| ਤੁਧੁ ਭਾਵੈ ਤੇਰੀ ਬੰਦਗੀ ਤੂ ਗੁਣੀ ਗਹੀਰਾ ॥੨੧॥ |
| thudhh bhaavai thaeree bandhagee thoo gunee geheeraa ||21|| |
| If it is pleasing to Your Will, then I worship and serve You; You are the treasure of virtue. ||21|| |

| ਆਪੇ ਹਰਿ ਇਕ ਰੰਗੁ ਹੈ ਆਪੇ ਬਹੁ ਰੰਗੀ ॥ |
| aapae har eik rang hai aapae bahu rangee || |
| The Lord Himself is absolute; He is The One and Only; but He Himself is also manifested in many forms. |

| ਜੋ ਤਿਸੁ ਭਾਵੈ ਨਾਨਕਾ ਸਾਈ ਗਲ ਚੰਗੀ ॥੨੨॥੨॥ |

| Whatever pleases Him, O Nanak, that alone is good. ||22||2|| |

| chaethanaa hai tho chaeth lai nis dhin mai praanee || |
| If you are conscious, then be conscious of Him night and day, O mortal. |

| ਛਿਨੁ ਛਿਨੁ ਅਉਧ ਬਿਹਾਤੁ ਹੈ ਫੂਟੈ ਘਟ ਜਿਉ ਪਾਨੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ |
| shhin shhin aoudhh bihaath hai foottai ghatt jio paanee ||1|| rehaao || |
| Each and every moment, your life is passing away, like water from a cracked pitcher. ||1||Pause|| |

| ਹਰਿ ਗੁਨ ਕਾਹਿ ਨ ਗਾਵਹੀ ਮੂਰਖ ਅਗਿਆਨਾ ॥ |
| har gun kaahi n gaavehee moorakh agiaanaa || |
| Why do you not sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord, you ignorant fool? |

| ਝੂਠੈ ਲਾਲਚਿ ਲਾਗਿ ਕੈ ਨਹਿ ਮਰਨੁ ਪਛਾਨਾ ॥੧॥ |
| jhoothai laalach laag kai nehi maran pashhaanaa ||1|| |
| You are attached to false greed, and you do not even consider death. ||1|| |
|
| ਅਜਹੂ ਕਛੁ ਬਿਗਰਿਓ ਨਹੀ ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵੈ ॥ |
| ajehoo kashh bigariou nehee jo prabh gun gaavai || |
| Even now, no harm has been done, if you will only sing God's Praises. |

| ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਤਿਹ ਭਜਨ ਤੇ ਨਿਰਭੈ ਪਦੁ ਪਾਵੈ ॥੨॥੧॥ |
| kahu naanak thih bhajan thae nirabhai padh paavai ||2||1|| |
| Says Nanak, by meditating and vibrating upon Him, you shall obtain the state of fearlessness. ||2||1|| |

| jaag laehu rae manaa jaag laehu kehaa gaafal soeiaa || |
| Wake up, O mind! Wake up! Why are you sleeping unaware? |

| ਜੋ ਤਨੁ ਉਪਜਿਆ ਸੰਗ ਹੀ ਸੋ ਭੀ ਸੰਗਿ ਨ ਹੋਇਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ |
| jo than oupajiaa sang hee so bhee sang n hoeiaa ||1|| rehaao || |
| That body, which you were born with, shall not go along with you in the end. ||1||Pause|| |

| ਮਾਤ ਪਿਤਾ ਸੁਤ ਬੰਧ ਜਨ ਹਿਤੁ ਜਾ ਸਿਉ ਕੀਨਾ ॥ |

| Mother, father, children and relatives whom you love, |

| ਜੀਵਤ ਲਉ ਬਿਉਹਾਰੁ ਹੈ ਜਗ ਕਉ ਤੁਮ ਜਾਨਉ ॥ |
| jeevath lo biouhaar hai jag ko thum jaano || |
| Your worldly affairs exist only as long as you are alive; know this well. |

| ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਇ ਲੈ ਸਭ ਸੁਫਨ ਸਮਾਨਉ ॥੨॥੨॥ |
| naanak har gun gaae lai sabh sufan samaano ||2||2|| |
| O Nanak, sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord; everything is like a dream. ||2||2|| |

| Sing the Lord's Praises, O mind; He is your only true companion. |

| ਅਉਸਰੁ ਬੀਤਿਓ ਜਾਤੁ ਹੈ ਕਹਿਓ ਮਾਨ ਲੈ ਮੇਰੋ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ |
| aousar beethiou jaath hai kehiou maan lai maero ||1|| rehaao || |
| Your time is passing away; listen carefully to what I say. ||1||Pause|| |

| ਸੰਪਤਿ ਰਥ ਧਨ ਰਾਜ ਸਿਉ ਅਤਿ ਨੇਹੁ ਲਗਾਇਓ ॥ |
| sanpath rathh dhhan raaj sio ath naehu lagaaeiou || |
| You are so in love with property, chariots, wealth and power. |
|
| ਕਾਲ ਫਾਸ ਜਬ ਗਲਿ ਪਰੀ ਸਭ ਭਇਓ ਪਰਾਇਓ ॥੧॥ |
| kaal faas jab gal paree sabh bhaeiou paraaeiou ||1|| |
| When the noose of death tightens around your neck, they will all belong to others. ||1|| |
|
| ਜਾਨਿ ਬੂਝ ਕੈ ਬਾਵਰੇ ਤੈ ਕਾਜੁ ਬਿਗਾਰਿਓ ॥ |
| jaan boojh kai baavarae thai kaaj bigaariou || |
| Know this well, O madman - you have ruined your affairs. |
|
| ਪਾਪ ਕਰਤ ਸੁਕਚਿਓ ਨਹੀ ਨਹ ਗਰਬੁ ਨਿਵਾਰਿਓ ॥੨॥ |
| paap karath sukachiou nehee neh garab nivaariou ||2|| |
| You did not restrain yourself from committing sins, and you did not eradicate your ego. ||2|| |
|
| ਜਿਹ ਬਿਧਿ ਗੁਰ ਉਪਦੇਸਿਆ ਸੋ ਸੁਨੁ ਰੇ ਭਾਈ ॥ |
| jih bidhh gur oupadhaesiaa so sun rae bhaaee || |
| So listen to the Teachings imparted by the Guru, O Siblings of Destiny. |

| ਨਾਨਕ ਕਹਤ ਪੁਕਾਰਿ ਕੈ ਗਹੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਰਨਾਈ ॥੩॥੩॥ |

| The Vedas and the Scriptures are only make-believe, O Siblings of Destiny; they do not relieve the anxiety of the heart. |

| ਟੁਕੁ ਦਮੁ ਕਰਾਰੀ ਜਉ ਕਰਹੁ ਹਾਜਿਰ ਹਜੂਰਿ ਖੁਦਾਇ ॥੧॥ |
| ttuk dham karaaree jo karahu haajir hajoor khudhaae ||1|| |
| If you will only center yourself on the Lord, even for just a breath, then you shall see the Lord face-to-face, present before you. ||1|| |
|
| ਬੰਦੇ ਖੋਜੁ ਦਿਲ ਹਰ ਰੋਜ ਨਾ ਫਿਰੁ ਪਰੇਸਾਨੀ ਮਾਹਿ ॥ |
| bandhae khoj dhil har roj naa fir paraesaanee maahi || |
| O human being, search your own heart every day, and do not wander around in confusion. |
|
| ਇਹ ਜੁ ਦੁਨੀਆ ਸਿਹਰੁ ਮੇਲਾ ਦਸਤਗੀਰੀ ਨਾਹਿ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ |
| eih j dhuneeaa sihar maelaa dhasathageeree naahi ||1|| rehaao || |
| This world is just a magic-show; no one will be holding your hand. ||1||Pause|| |
|
| ਦਰੋਗੁ ਪੜਿ ਪੜਿ ਖੁਸੀ ਹੋਇ ਬੇਖਬਰ ਬਾਦੁ ਬਕਾਹਿ ॥ |
| dharog parr parr khusee hoe baekhabar baadh bakaahi || |
| Reading and studying falsehood, people are happy; in their ignorance, they speak nonsense. |

| ਹਕੁ ਸਚੁ ਖਾਲਕੁ ਖਲਕ ਮਿਆਨੇ ਸਿਆਮ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਨਾਹਿ ॥੨॥ |
| hak sach khaalak khalak miaanae siaam moorath naahi ||2|| |
| The True Creator Lord is diffused into His creation; He is not just the dark-skinned Krishna of legends. ||2|| |
|
| ਅਸਮਾਨ ਿਮ੍ਯ੍ਯਾਨੇ ਲਹੰਗ ਦਰੀਆ ਗੁਸਲ ਕਰਦਨ ਬੂਦ ॥ |
| asamaan miyaanae lehang dhareeaa gusal karadhan boodh || |
| Through the Tenth Gate, the stream of nectar flows; take your bath in this. |
|
| ਕਰਿ ਫਕਰੁ ਦਾਇਮ ਲਾਇ ਚਸਮੇ ਜਹ ਤਹਾ ਮਉਜੂਦੁ ॥੩॥ |
| kar fakar dhaaeim laae chasamae jeh thehaa moujoodh ||3|| |
| Serve the Lord forever; use your eyes, and see Him ever-present everywhere. ||3|| |
|
| ਅਲਾਹ ਪਾਕੰ ਪਾਕ ਹੈ ਸਕ ਕਰਉ ਜੇ ਦੂਸਰ ਹੋਇ ॥ |
| alaah paakan paak hai sak karo jae dhoosar hoe || |
| The Lord is the purest of the pure; only through doubt could there be another. |
|
| ਕਬੀਰ ਕਰਮੁ ਕਰੀਮ ਕਾ ਉਹੁ ਕਰੈ ਜਾਨੈ ਸੋਇ ॥੪॥੧॥ |
| kabeer karam kareem kaa ouhu karai jaanai soe ||4||1|| |
| O Kabeer, mercy flows from the Merciful Lord; He alone knows who acts. ||4||1|| |

| I am blind; Your Name, O Creator Lord, is my only anchor and support. |

| ਮੈ ਗਰੀਬ ਮੈ ਮਸਕੀਨ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਹੈ ਅਧਾਰਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ |
| mai gareeb mai masakeen thaeraa naam hai adhhaaraa ||1|| rehaao || |
| I am poor, and I am meek. Your Name is my only support. ||1||Pause|| |

| ਕਰੀਮਾਂ ਰਹੀਮਾਂ ਅਲਾਹ ਤੂ ਗਨਂੀ ॥ |
| kareemaan reheemaan alaah thoo gananaee || |
| O beautiful Lord, benevolent and merciful Lord, You are so wealthy and generous. |

| ਹਾਜਰਾ ਹਜੂਰਿ ਦਰਿ ਪੇਸਿ ਤੂੰ ਮਨਂੀ ॥੧॥ |
| haajaraa hajoor dhar paes thoon mananaee ||1|| |
| You are ever-present in every presence, within and before me. ||1|| |
|
| ਦਰੀਆਉ ਤੂ ਦਿਹੰਦ ਤੂ ਬਿਸੀਆਰ ਤੂ ਧਨੀ ॥ |
| dhareeaao thoo dhihandh thoo biseeaar thoo dhhanee || |
| You are the river of life, You are the Giver of all; You are so very wealthy. |

| ਦੇਹਿ ਲੇਹਿ ਏਕੁ ਤੂੰ ਦਿਗਰ ਕੋ ਨਹੀ ॥੨॥ |
| dhaehi laehi eaek thoon dhigar ko nehee ||2|| |
| You alone give, and You alone take away; there is no other at all. ||2|| |
|
| ਤੂੰ ਦਾਨਾਂ ਤੂੰ ਬੀਨਾਂ ਮੈ ਬੀਚਾਰੁ ਕਿਆ ਕਰੀ ॥ |
| thoon dhaanaan thoon beenaan mai beechaar kiaa karee || |
| You are wise, You are the supreme seer; how could I make You an object of thought? |
