| ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ਰੈਣਿ ਦਿਨੁ ਗਾਉ ॥ |
| prabh abinaasee rain dhin gaao || |
| Sing the Praises of the Eternal, Imperishable Lord God, night and day. |

| ਜੀਵਤ ਮਰਤ ਨਿਹਚਲੁ ਪਾਵਹਿ ਥਾਉ ॥੨॥ |
| jeevath marath nihachal paavehi thhaao ||2|| |
| In life, and in death, you shall find your eternal, unchanging home. ||2|| |
|
| ਸੋ ਸਾਹੁ ਸੇਵਿ ਜਿਤੁ ਤੋਟਿ ਨ ਆਵੈ ॥ |
| so saahu saev jith thott n aavai || |
| So serve the Sovereign Lord, and you shall never lack anything. |
|
| ਖਾਤ ਖਰਚਤ ਸੁਖਿ ਅਨਦਿ ਵਿਹਾਵੈ ॥੩॥ |
| khaath kharachath sukh anadh vihaavai ||3|| |
| While eating and consuming, you shall pass your life in peace. ||3|| |
|
| ਜਗਜੀਵਨ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਪਾਇਆ ॥ |
| jagajeevan purakh saadhhasang paaeiaa || |
| O Life of the World, O Primal Being, I have found the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy. |

| When the Perfect Guru becomes merciful, |
|
| ਦੁਖ ਬਿਨਸੇ ਪੂਰਨ ਭਈ ਘਾਲ ॥੧॥ |
| dhukh binasae pooran bhee ghaal ||1|| |
| my pains are taken away, and my works are perfectly completed. ||1|| |

| ਪੇਖਿ ਪੇਖਿ ਜੀਵਾ ਦਰਸੁ ਤੁਮ੍ਹ੍ਹਾਰਾ ॥ |
| paekh paekh jeevaa dharas thumhaaraa || |
| Gazing upon, beholding the Blessed Vision of Your Darshan, I live; |

| ਚਰਣ ਕਮਲ ਜਾਈ ਬਲਿਹਾਰਾ ॥ |
| charan kamal jaaee balihaaraa || |
| I am a sacrifice to Your Lotus Feet. |
|
| ਤੁਝ ਬਿਨੁ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਕਵਨੁ ਹਮਾਰਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ |
| thujh bin thaakur kavan hamaaraa ||1|| rehaao || |
| Without You, O my Lord and Master, who belongs to me? ||1||Pause|| |

| ਸਾਧਸੰਗਤਿ ਸਿਉ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਬਣਿ ਆਈ ॥ |
| saadhhasangath sio preeth ban aaee || |
| I have fallen in love with the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, |
|
| ਪੂਰਬ ਕਰਮਿ ਲਿਖਤ ਧੁਰਿ ਪਾਈ ॥੨॥ |
| poorab karam likhath dhhur paaee ||2|| |
| by the karma of my past actions and my pre-ordained destiny. ||2|| |
|
| ਜਪਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਅਚਰਜੁ ਪਰਤਾਪ ॥ |
| jap har har naam acharaj parathaap || |
| Chant the Name of the Lord, Har, Har; how wondrous is His glory! |
|
| ਜਾਲਿ ਨ ਸਾਕਹਿ ਤੀਨੇ ਤਾਪ ॥੩॥ |
| jaal n saakehi theenae thaap ||3|| |
| The three types of illness cannot consume it. ||3|| |
|
| ਨਿਮਖ ਨ ਬਿਸਰਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਚਰਣ ਤੁਮ੍ਹ੍ਹਾਰੇ ॥ |
| nimakh n bisarehi har charan thumhaarae || |
| May I never forget, even for an instant, the Lord's Feet. |

| ਜਿਤੁ ਰਸਨਾ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਉਚਾਰੇ ॥੧॥ |

| when, with my tongue, I may chant the Lord's Name||1|| |

| ਸੁਣਿ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਦੀਨ ਦਇਆਲਾ ॥ |
| sun baenathee prabh dheen dhaeiaalaa || |
| Hear my prayer, O God, O Merciful to the meek. |

| ਸਾਧ ਗਾਵਹਿ ਗੁਣ ਸਦਾ ਰਸਾਲਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ |
| saadhh gaavehi gun sadhaa rasaalaa ||1|| rehaao || |
| The Holy Saints ever sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord, the Source of Nectar. ||1||Pause|| |

| ਜੀਵਨ ਰੂਪੁ ਸਿਮਰਣੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਤੇਰਾ ॥ |
| jeevan roop simaran prabh thaeraa || |
| Your meditation and remembrance is life-giving, God. |

| ਜਿਸੁ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰਹਿ ਬਸਹਿ ਤਿਸੁ ਨੇਰਾ ॥੨॥ |
| jis kirapaa karehi basehi this naeraa ||2|| |
| You dwell near those upon whom You show mercy. ||2|| |
|
| ਜਨ ਕੀ ਭੂਖ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਅਹਾਰੁ ॥ |
| jan kee bhookh thaeraa naam ahaar || |
| Your Name is the food to satisfy the hunger of Your humble servants. |
|
| ਤੂੰ ਦਾਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਦੇਵਣਹਾਰੁ ॥੩॥ |
| thoon dhaathaa prabh dhaevanehaar ||3|| |
| You are the Great Giver, O Lord God. ||3|| |
|
| ਰਾਮ ਰਮਤ ਸੰਤਨ ਸੁਖੁ ਮਾਨਾ ॥ |
| raam ramath santhan sukh maanaa || |
| The Saints take pleasure in repeating the Lord's Name. |
|
| ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇਵਨਹਾਰ ਸੁਜਾਨਾ ॥੪॥੨੬॥੩੨॥ |
| naanak dhaevanehaar sujaanaa ||4||26||32|| |
| O Nanak, the Lord, the Great Giver, is All-knowing. ||4||26||32|| |

| Your life is slipping away, but you never even notice. |

| ਮਿਥਿਆ ਮੋਹ ਬੰਧਹਿ ਨਿਤ ਪਾਰਚ ॥੧॥ |
| mithhiaa moh bandhhehi nith paarach ||1|| |
| You are constantly entangled in false attachments and conflicts. ||1|| |
|
| ਮਾਧਵੇ ਭਜੁ ਦਿਨ ਨਿਤ ਰੈਣੀ ॥ |
| maadhhavae bhaj dhin nith rainee || |
| Meditate, vibrate constantly, day and night, on the Lord. |
|
| ਜਨਮੁ ਪਦਾਰਥੁ ਜੀਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਸਰਣੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ |
| janam padhaarathh jeeth har saranee ||1|| rehaao || |
| You shall be victorious in this priceless human life, in the Protection of the Lord's Sanctuary. ||1||Pause|| |

| ਕਰਤ ਬਿਕਾਰ ਦੋਊ ਕਰ ਝਾਰਤ ॥ਰਾਮ ਰਤਨੁ ਰਿਦ ਤਿਲੁ ਨਹੀ ਧਾਰਤ ॥੨॥ |
| karath bikaar dhooo kar jhaarath || raam rathan ridh thil nehee dhhaarath ||2|| |
| You eagerly commit sins and practice corruption, but you do not enshrine the jewel of the Lord's Name within your heart, even for an instant. ||2|| |
|
| ਜੈ ਜਗਦੀਸ ਕੀ ਗਤਿ ਨਹੀ ਜਾਣੀ ॥੩॥ |
| jai jagadhees kee gath nehee jaanee ||3|| |
| but you do not experience the state of victory of the Lord of the Universe. ||3|| |
|
| ਸਰਣਿ ਸਮਰਥ ਅਗੋਚਰ ਸੁਆਮੀ ॥ |
| saran samarathh agochar suaamee || |
| So enter the Sanctuary of the All-powerful, Unfathomable Lord and Master. |
|
| ਉਧਰੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ॥੪॥੨੭॥੩੩॥ |

| O God, O Searcher of hearts, please, save Nanak! ||4||27||33|| |

| Remember in meditation the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, the source of jewels. ||1|| |

| ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਜੀਵਾ ਨਾਰਾਇਣ ॥ |
| simar simar jeevaa naaraaein || |
| Remembering, remembering the Lord in meditation, I live. |

| ਦੂਖ ਰੋਗ ਸੋਗ ਸਭਿ ਬਿਨਸੇ ਗੁਰ ਪੂਰੇ ਮਿਲਿ ਪਾਪ ਤਜਾਇਣ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ |
| dhookh rog sog sabh binasae gur poorae mil paap thajaaein ||1|| rehaao || |
| All pain, disease and suffering is dispelled, meeting the Perfect Guru; sin has been eradicated. ||1||Pause|| |

| ਜੀਵਨ ਪਦਵੀ ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਨਾਉ ॥ |
| jeevan padhavee har kaa naao || |
| The immortal status is obtained through the Name of the Lord; |
|
| ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਸਾਚੁ ਸੁਆਉ ॥੨॥ |
| man than niramal saach suaao ||2|| |
| the mind and body become spotless and pure, which is the true purpose of life. ||2|| |
|
| ਆਠ ਪਹਰ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਧਿਆਈਐ ॥ |
| aath pehar paarabreham dhhiaaeeai || |
| Twenty-four hours a day, meditate on the Supreme Lord God. |
|
| ਪੂਰਬਿ ਲਿਖਤੁ ਹੋਇ ਤਾ ਪਾਈਐ ॥੩॥ |
| poorab likhath hoe thaa paaeeai ||3|| |
| By pre-ordained destiny, the Name is obtained. ||3|| |
|

| I have entered His Sanctuary, and I meditate on the Lord, Merciful to the meek. |
