| aapanarraa man aagai dhhariaa sarabas thaakur dheenae raam || |
| I have dedicated my mind to my Lord and Master, and offered it to Him, and He has blessed me with everything. |

| kar apunee dhaasee mittee oudhaasee har mandhar thhith paaee || |
| He has made me His hand-maiden and slave; my sadness is dispelled, and in the Lord's Temple, I have found stability. |

| ਅਨਦ ਬਿਨੋਦ ਸਿਮਰਹੁ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸਾਚਾ ਵਿਛੁੜਿ ਕਬਹੂ ਨ ਜਾਈ ॥ |
| anadh binodh simarahu prabh saachaa vishhurr kabehoo n jaaee || |
| My joy and bliss are in meditating on my True God; I shall never be separated from Him again. |

| ਸਾ ਵਡਭਾਗਣਿ ਸਦਾ ਸੋਹਾਗਣਿ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਗੁਣ ਚੀਨ੍ਹ੍ਹੇ ॥ |
| saa vaddabhaagan sadhaa sohaagan raam naam gun cheenhae || |
| She alone is very fortunate, and a true soul-bride, who contemplates the Glorious Vision of the Lord's Name. |

| ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਰਵਹਿ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਾਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਮਹਾ ਰਸਿ ਭੀਨੇ ॥੨॥ |
| kahu naanak ravehi rang raathae praem mehaa ras bheenae ||2|| |
| Says Nanak, I am imbued with His Love, drenched in the supreme, sublime essence of His Love. ||2|| |

| ਅਨਦ ਬਿਨੋਦ ਭਏ ਨਿਤ ਸਖੀਏ ਮੰਗਲ ਸਦਾ ਹਮਾਰੈ ਰਾਮ ॥ |
| anadh binodh bheae nith sakheeeae mangal sadhaa hamaarai raam || |
| I am in continual bliss and ecstasy, O my companions; I sing the songs of joy forever. |

| ਆਪਨੜੈ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਆਪਿ ਸੀਗਾਰੀ ਸੋਭਾਵੰਤੀ ਨਾਰੇ ਰਾਮ ॥ |
| aapanarrai prabh aap seegaaree sobhaavanthee naarae raam || |
| God Himself has embellished her, and she has become His virtuous soul-bride. |

| ਸਹਜ ਸੁਭਾਇ ਭਏ ਕਿਰਪਾਲਾ ਗੁਣ ਅਵਗਣ ਨ ਬੀਚਾਰਿਆ ॥ |
| sehaj subhaae bheae kirapaalaa gun avagan n beechaariaa || |
| With natural ease, He has become Merciful to her. He does not consider her merits or demerits. |

| ਕੰਠਿ ਲਗਾਇ ਲੀਏ ਜਨ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਉਰਿ ਧਾਰਿਆ ॥ |
| kanth lagaae leeeae jan apunae raam naam our dhhaariaa || |
| He hugs His humble servants close in His Loving Embrace; they enshrine the Lord's Name in their hearts. |

| ਮਾਨ ਮੋਹ ਮਦ ਸਗਲ ਬਿਆਪੀ ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਆਪਿ ਨਿਵਾਰੇ ॥ |
| maan moh madh sagal biaapee kar kirapaa aap nivaarae || |
| Everyone is engrossed in arrogant pride, attachment and intoxication; in His Mercy, He has freed me of them. |

| ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਭੈ ਸਾਗਰੁ ਤਰਿਆ ਪੂਰਨ ਕਾਜ ਹਮਾਰੇ ॥੩॥ |
| kahu naanak bhai saagar thariaa pooran kaaj hamaarae ||3|| |
| Says Nanak, I have crossed over the terrifying world-ocean, and all my affairs are perfectly resolved. ||3|| |

| Continually sing the Glorious Praises of the World-Lord, O my companions; all your wishes shall be granted. |

| ਸਫਲ ਜਨਮੁ ਹੋਆ ਮਿਲਿ ਸਾਧੂ ਏਕੰਕਾਰੁ ਧਿਆਏ ਰਾਮ ॥ |
| safal janam hoaa mil saadhhoo eaekankaar dhhiaaeae raam || |
| Life becomes fruitful, meeting with the Holy Saints, and meditating on the One God, the Creator of the Universe. |

| ਜਪਿ ਏਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਅਨੇਕ ਰਵਿਆ ਸਰਬ ਮੰਡਲਿ ਛਾਇਆ ॥ |
| jap eaek prabhoo anaek raviaa sarab manddal shhaaeiaa || |
| Chant, and meditate on the One God, who permeates and pervades the many beings of the whole Universe. |

| ਬ੍ਰਹਮੋ ਪਸਾਰਾ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਪਸਰਿਆ ਸਭੁ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟੀ ਆਇਆ ॥ |
| brehamo pasaaraa breham pasariaa sabh breham dhrisattee aaeiaa || |
| God created it, and God spreads through it everywhere. Everywhere I look, I see God. |

| Eternal and immovable is the City of God and Guru; chanting His Name, I have found peace. |

| ਮਨ ਇਛੇ ਸੇਈ ਫਲ ਪਾਏ ਕਰਤੈ ਆਪਿ ਵਸਾਇਆ ਰਾਮ ॥ |
| man eishhae saeee fal paaeae karathai aap vasaaeiaa raam || |
| I have obtained the fruits of my mind's desires; the Creator Himself established it. |

| ਕਰਤੈ ਆਪਿ ਵਸਾਇਆ ਸਰਬ ਸੁਖ ਪਾਇਆ ਪੁਤ ਭਾਈ ਸਿਖ ਬਿਗਾਸੇ ॥ |
| karathai aap vasaaeiaa sarab sukh paaeiaa puth bhaaee sikh bigaasae || |
| The Creator Himself established it. I have found total peace; my children, siblings and Sikhs have all blossomed forth in bliss. |

| ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਹਿ ਪੂਰਨ ਪਰਮੇਸੁਰ ਕਾਰਜੁ ਆਇਆ ਰਾਸੇ ॥ |

| Singing the Glorious Praises of the Perfect Transcendent Lord, my affairs have come to be resolved. |

| ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਆਪਿ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਆਪੇ ਰਖਾ ਆਪਿ ਪਿਤਾ ਆਪਿ ਮਾਇਆ ॥ |
| prabh aap suaamee aapae rakhaa aap pithaa aap maaeiaa || |
| God Himself is my Lord and Master. He Himself is my Saving Grace; He Himself is my father and mother. |

| ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ ਜਿਨਿ ਏਹੁ ਥਾਨੁ ਸੁਹਾਇਆ ॥੧॥ |

| Says Nanak, I am a sacrifice to the True Guru, who has embellished and adorned this place. ||1|| |

| Homes, mansions, stores and markets are beautiful, when the Lord's Name abides within. |

| ਸੰਤ ਭਗਤ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਅਰਾਧਹਿ ਕਟੀਐ ਜਮ ਕੀ ਫਾਸੀ ਰਾਮ ॥ |
| santh bhagath har naam araadhhehi katteeai jam kee faasee raam || |
| The Saints and devotees worship the Lord's Name in adoration, and the noose of Death is cut away. |
|
| ਕਾਟੀ ਜਮ ਫਾਸੀ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਏ ॥ |
| kaattee jam faasee prabh abinaasee har har naam dhhiaaeae || |
| The noose of Death is cut away, meditating on the Name of the Eternal, Unchanging Lord, Har, Har. |

| ਸਗਲ ਸਮਗ੍ਰੀ ਪੂਰਨ ਹੋਈ ਮਨ ਇਛੇ ਫਲ ਪਾਏ ॥ |
| sagal samagree pooran hoee man eishhae fal paaeae || |
| Everything is perfect for them, and they obtain the fruits of their mind's desires. |

| ਸੰਤ ਸਜਨ ਸੁਖਿ ਮਾਣਹਿ ਰਲੀਆ ਦੂਖ ਦਰਦ ਭ੍ਰਮ ਨਾਸੀ ॥ |
| santh sajan sukh maanehi raleeaa dhookh dharadh bhram naasee || |
| The Saints and friends enjoy peace and pleasure; their pain, suffering and doubts are dispelled. |

| ਸਬਦਿ ਸਵਾਰੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਦ ਬਲਿ ਜਾਸੀ ॥੨॥ |
| sabadh savaarae sathigur poorai naanak sadh bal jaasee ||2|| |
| The Perfect True Guru has embellished them with the Word of the Shabad; Nanak is forever a sacrifice to them. ||2|| |

| ਦਾਤਿ ਖਸਮ ਕੀ ਪੂਰੀ ਹੋਈ ਨਿਤ ਨਿਤ ਚੜੈ ਸਵਾਈ ਰਾਮ ॥ |
| dhaath khasam kee pooree hoee nith nith charrai savaaee raam || |
| The gift of our Lord and Master is perfect; it increases day by day. |

| ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮਿ ਖਸਮਾਨਾ ਕੀਆ ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਵਡੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਰਾਮ ॥ |
| paarabreham khasamaanaa keeaa jis dhee vaddee vaddiaaee raam || |
| The Supreme Lord God has made me His own; His Glorious Greatness is so great! |
|
| ਆਦਿ ਜੁਗਾਦਿ ਭਗਤਨ ਕਾ ਰਾਖਾ ਸੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਭਇਆ ਦਇਆਲਾ ॥ |
| aadh jugaadh bhagathan kaa raakhaa so prabh bhaeiaa dhaeiaalaa || |
| From the very beginning, and throughout the ages, He is the Protector of His devotees; God has become merciful to me. |

| ਜੀਅ ਜੰਤ ਸਭਿ ਸੁਖੀ ਵਸਾਏ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਆਪੇ ਕਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲਾ ॥ |
| jeea janth sabh sukhee vasaaeae prabh aapae kar prathipaalaa || |
| All beings and creatures now dwell in peace; God Himself cherishes and cares for them. |

| ਦਹ ਦਿਸ ਪੂਰਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਜਸੁ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਕੀਮਤਿ ਕਹਣੁ ਨ ਜਾਈ ॥ |
| dheh dhis poor rehiaa jas suaamee keemath kehan n jaaee || |
| The Praises of the Lord and Master are totally pervading in the ten directions; I cannot express His worth. |

| The spiritual wisdom and meditation of the Perfect Transcendent Lord, and the Sermon of the Lord, Har, Har, are continually heard there. |

| ਅਨਹਦ ਚੋਜ ਭਗਤ ਭਵ ਭੰਜਨ ਅਨਹਦ ਵਾਜੇ ਧੁਨੀਐ ਰਾਮ ॥ |
| anehadh choj bhagath bhav bhanjan anehadh vaajae dhhuneeai raam || |
| The devotees of the Lord, the Destroyer of fear, play endlessly there, and the unstruck melody resounds and vibrates there. |
|
| ਅਨਹਦ ਝੁਣਕਾਰੇ ਤਤੁ ਬੀਚਾਰੇ ਸੰਤ ਗੋਸਟਿ ਨਿਤ ਹੋਵੈ ॥ |
| anehadh jhunakaarae thath beechaarae santh gosatt nith hovai || |
| The unstruck melody resounds and resonates, and the Saints contemplate the essence of reality; this discourse is their daily routine. |

| ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਅਰਾਧਹਿ ਮੈਲੁ ਸਭ ਕਾਟਹਿ ਕਿਲਵਿਖ ਸਗਲੇ ਖੋਵੈ ॥ |
| har naam araadhhehi mail sabh kaattehi kilavikh sagalae khovai || |
| They worship the Lord's Name, and all their filth is washed away; they rid themselves of all sins. |

| ਤਹ ਜਨਮ ਨ ਮਰਣਾ ਆਵਣ ਜਾਣਾ ਬਹੁੜਿ ਨ ਪਾਈਐ ਜ+ਨੀਐ ॥ |
| theh janam n maranaa aavan jaanaa bahurr n paaeeai juoneeai || |
| There is no birth or death there, no coming or going, and no entering into the womb of reincarnation again. |

| ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰੁ ਪਰਮੇਸਰੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਿਸੁ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਇਛ ਪੁਨੀਐ ॥੪॥੬॥੯॥ |
| naanak gur paramaesar paaeiaa jis prasaadh eishh puneeai ||4||6||9|| |
| Nanak has found the Guru, the Transcendent Lord; by His Grace, desires are fulfilled. ||4||6||9|| |

| The Lord Himself has stood up to resolve the affairs of the Saints; He has come to complete their tasks. |

| ਧਰਤਿ ਸੁਹਾਵੀ ਤਾਲੁ ਸੁਹਾਵਾ ਵਿਚਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਜਲੁ ਛਾਇਆ ਰਾਮ ॥ |
| dhharath suhaavee thaal suhaavaa vich anmrith jal shhaaeiaa raam || |
| The land is beautiful, and the pool is beautiful; within it is contained the Ambrosial Water. |

| ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਜਲੁ ਛਾਇਆ ਪੂਰਨ ਸਾਜੁ ਕਰਾਇਆ ਸਗਲ ਮਨੋਰਥ ਪੂਰੇ ॥ |
| anmrith jal shhaaeiaa pooran saaj karaaeiaa sagal manorathh poorae || |
| The Ambrosial Water is filling it, and my job is perfectly complete; all my desires are fulfilled. |

| ਜੈ ਜੈ ਕਾਰੁ ਭਇਆ ਜਗ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਲਾਥੇ ਸਗਲ ਵਿਸੂਰੇ ॥ |
| jai jai kaar bhaeiaa jag anthar laathhae sagal visoorae || |
| Congratulations are pouring in from all over the world; all my sorrows are eliminated. |

| ਪੂਰਨ ਪੁਰਖ ਅਚੁਤ ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ਜਸੁ ਵੇਦ ਪੁਰਾਣੀ ਗਾਇਆ ॥ |
| pooran purakh achuth abinaasee jas vaedh puraanee gaaeiaa || |
| The Vedas and the Puraanas sing the Praises of the Perfect, Unchanging, Imperishable Primal Lord. |

| ਅਪਨਾ ਬਿਰਦੁ ਰਖਿਆ ਪਰਮੇਸਰਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇਆ ॥੧॥ |
| apanaa biradh rakhiaa paramaesar naanak naam dhhiaaeiaa ||1|| |
| The Transcendent Lord has kept His promise, and confirmed His nature; Nanak meditates on the Naam, the Name of the Lord. ||1|| |

| ਖਾਤ ਖਰਚਤ ਬਿਲਛਤ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਕਰਤੇ ਕੀ ਦਾਤਿ ਸਵਾਈ ਰਾਮ ॥ |
| khaath kharachath bilashhath sukh paaeiaa karathae kee dhaath savaaee raam || |
| Eating, spending and enjoying, I have found peace; the gifts of the Creator Lord continually increase. |

| ਦਾਤਿ ਸਵਾਈ ਨਿਖੁਟਿ ਨ ਜਾਈ ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ਪਾਇਆ ॥ |
| dhaath savaaee nikhutt n jaaee antharajaamee paaeiaa || |
| His gifts increase and shall never be exhausted; I have found the Inner-knower, the Searcher of hearts. |
