| The Divine Guru has blessed me with total happiness. |

| ਸੇਵਕੁ ਅਪਨੀ ਲਾਇਓ ਸੇਵ ॥ |
| saevak apanee laaeiou saev || |
| He has linked His servant to His service. |
|
| ਬਿਘਨੁ ਨ ਲਾਗੈ ਜਪਿ ਅਲਖ ਅਭੇਵ ॥੧॥ |
| bighan n laagai jap alakh abhaev ||1|| |
| No obstacles block my path, meditating on the incomprehensible, inscrutable Lord. ||1|| |

| ਧਰਤਿ ਪੁਨੀਤ ਭਈ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਏ ॥ |
| dhharath puneeth bhee gun gaaeae || |
| The soil has been sanctified, singing the Glories of His Praises. |
|
| ਦੁਰਤੁ ਗਇਆ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਏ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ |
| dhurath gaeiaa har naam dhhiaaeae ||1|| rehaao || |
| The sins are eradicated, meditating on the Name of the Lord. ||1||Pause|| |
|
| ਸਭਨੀ ਥਾਂਈ ਰਵਿਆ ਆਪਿ ॥ |
| sabhanee thhaanee raviaa aap || |
| He Himself is pervading everywhere; |
|
| ਆਦਿ ਜੁਗਾਦਿ ਜਾ ਕਾ ਵਡ ਪਰਤਾਪੁ ॥ |
| aadh jugaadh jaa kaa vadd parathaap || |
| from the very beginning, and throughout the ages, His Glory has been radiantly manifest. |

| ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦਿ ਨ ਹੋਇ ਸੰਤਾਪੁ ॥੨॥ |
| gur parasaadh n hoe santhaap ||2|| |
| By Guru's Grace, sorrow does not touch me. ||2|| |

| ਗੁਰ ਕੇ ਚਰਨ ਲਗੇ ਮਨਿ ਮੀਠੇ ॥ |
| gur kae charan lagae man meethae || |
| The Guru's Feet seem so sweet to my mind. |
|
| ਨਿਰਬਿਘਨ ਹੋਇ ਸਭ ਥਾਂਈ ਵੂਠੇ ॥ |
| nirabighan hoe sabh thhaanee voothae || |
| He is unobstructed, dwelling everywhere. |
|
| ਸਭਿ ਸੁਖ ਪਾਏ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਤੂਠੇ ॥੩॥ |
| sabh sukh paaeae sathigur thoothae ||3|| |
| I found total peace, when the Guru was pleased. ||3|| |
|
| ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਏ ਰਖਵਾਲੇ ॥ |
| paarabreham prabh bheae rakhavaalae || |
| The Supreme Lord God has become my Savior. |
|
| ਜਿਥੈ ਕਿਥੈ ਦੀਸਹਿ ਨਾਲੇ ॥ |
| jithhai kithhai dheesehi naalae || |
| Wherever I look, I see Him there with me. |
|
| ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਸ ਖਸਮਿ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲੇ ॥੪॥੨॥ |

| Your Glories are uncounted, O God, my Lord and Master. |

| ਮੋਹਿ ਅਨਾਥ ਤੁਮਰੀ ਸਰਣਾਈ ॥ |
| mohi anaathh thumaree saranaaee || |
| I am an orphan, entering Your Sanctuary. |
|
| ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਹਰਿ ਚਰਨ ਧਿਆਈ ॥੧॥ |
| kar kirapaa har charan dhhiaaee ||1|| |
| Have Mercy on me, O Lord, that I may meditate on Your Feet. ||1|| |

| ਦਇਆ ਕਰਹੁ ਬਸਹੁ ਮਨਿ ਆਇ ॥ |
| dhaeiaa karahu basahu man aae || |
| Take pity upon me, and abide within my mind; |
|
| ਮੋਹਿ ਨਿਰਗੁਨ ਲੀਜੈ ਲੜਿ ਲਾਇ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ |
| mohi niragun leejai larr laae || rehaao || |
| I am worthless - please let me grasp hold of the hem of Your robe. ||1||Pause|| |

| ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਚਿਤਿ ਆਵੈ ਤਾ ਕੈਸੀ ਭੀੜ ॥ |
| prabh chith aavai thaa kaisee bheerr || |
| When God comes into my consciousness, what misfortune can strike me? |
|
| ਹਰਿ ਸੇਵਕ ਨਾਹੀ ਜਮ ਪੀੜ ॥ |
| har saevak naahee jam peerr || |
| The Lord's servant does not suffer pain from the Messenger of Death. |
|
| ਸਰਬ ਦੂਖ ਹਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਤ ਨਸੇ ॥ |
| sarab dhookh har simarath nasae || |
| All pains are dispelled, when one remembers the Lord in meditation; |
|
| ਜਾ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਸਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਬਸੈ ॥੨॥ |
| jaa kai sang sadhaa prabh basai ||2|| |
| God abides with him forever. ||2|| |
|
| ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਮਨਿ ਤਨਿ ਆਧਾਰੁ ॥ |
| prabh kaa naam man than aadhhaar || |
| The Name of God is the Support of my mind and body. |
|
| ਬਿਸਰਤ ਨਾਮੁ ਹੋਵਤ ਤਨੁ ਛਾਰੁ ॥ |
| bisarath naam hovath than shhaar || |
| Forgetting the Naam, the Name of the Lord, the body is reduced to ashes. |
|
| ਪ੍ਰਭ ਚਿਤਿ ਆਏ ਪੂਰਨ ਸਭ ਕਾਜ ॥ |
| prabh chith aaeae pooran sabh kaaj || |
| When God comes into my consciousness, all my affairs are resolved. |
|
| ਹਰਿ ਬਿਸਰਤ ਸਭ ਕਾ ਮੁਹਤਾਜ ॥੩॥ |
| har bisarath sabh kaa muhathaaj ||3|| |
| Forgetting the Lord, one becomes subservient to all. ||3|| |
|
| ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਸੰਗਿ ਲਾਗੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ॥ |
| charan kamal sang laagee preeth || |
| I am in love with the Lotus Feet of the Lord. |
|
| ਬਿਸਰਿ ਗਈ ਸਭ ਦੁਰਮਤਿ ਰੀਤਿ ॥ |
| bisar gee sabh dhuramath reeth || |
| I am rid of all evil-minded ways. |
|
| ਮਨ ਤਨ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਮੰਤ ॥ |
| man than anthar har har manth || |
| The Mantra of the Lord's Name, Har, Har, is deep within my mind and body. |
|
| ਨਾਨਕ ਭਗਤਨ ਕੈ ਘਰਿ ਸਦਾ ਅਨੰਦ ॥੪॥੩॥ |

| O Nanak, eternal bliss fills the home of the Lord's devotees. ||4||3|| |

| You are the Support of my mind, O my Beloved, You are the Support of my mind. |

| ਅਵਰ ਸਿਆਣਪਾ ਬਿਰਥੀਆ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਰਾਖਨ ਕਉ ਤੁਮ ਏਕ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ |
| avar siaanapaa birathheeaa piaarae raakhan ko thum eaek ||1|| rehaao || |
| All other clever tricks are useless, O Beloved; You alone are my Protector. ||1||Pause|| |

| ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰਾ ਜੇ ਮਿਲੈ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਸੋ ਜਨੁ ਹੋਤ ਨਿਹਾਲਾ ॥ |
| sathigur pooraa jae milai piaarae so jan hoth nihaalaa || |
| One who meets with the Perfect True Guru, O Beloved, that humble person is enraptured. |

| ਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਸੋ ਕਰੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਹੋਇ ਦਇਆਲਾ ॥ |
| gur kee saevaa so karae piaarae jis no hoe dhaeiaalaa || |
| He alone serves the Guru, O Beloved, unto whom the Lord becomes merciful. |

| ਸਫਲ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਗੁਰਦੇਉ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਸਰਬ ਕਲਾ ਭਰਪੂਰੇ ॥ |
| safal moorath guradhaeo suaamee sarab kalaa bharapoorae || |
| Fruitful is the form of the Divine Guru, O Lord and Master; He is overflowing with all powers. |

| ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰੁ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਪਰਮੇਸਰੁ ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਹਜੂਰੇ ॥੧॥ |
| naanak gur paarabreham paramaesar sadhaa sadhaa hajoorae ||1|| |
| O Nanak, the Guru is the Supreme Lord God, the Transcendent Lord; He is ever-present, forever and ever. ||1|| |

| ਸੁਣਿ ਸੁਣਿ ਜੀਵਾ ਸੋਇ ਤਿਨਾ ਕੀ ਜਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਅਪੁਨਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਜਾਤਾ ॥ |
| sun sun jeevaa soe thinaa kee jinh apunaa prabh jaathaa || |
| I live by hearing, hearing of those who know their God. |
|
| ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਅਰਾਧਹਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਖਾਣਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੇ ਹੀ ਮਨੁ ਰਾਤਾ ॥ |
| har naam araadhhehi naam vakhaanehi har naamae hee man raathaa || |
| They contemplate the Lord's Name, they chant the Lord's Name, and their minds are imbued with the Lord's Name. |
|
| ਸੇਵਕੁ ਜਨ ਕੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਮਾਗੈ ਪੂਰੈ ਕਰਮਿ ਕਮਾਵਾ ॥ |
| saevak jan kee saevaa maagai poorai karam kamaavaa || |
| I am Your servant; I beg to serve Your humble servants. By the karma of perfect destiny, I do this. |

| ਨਾਨਕ ਕੀ ਬੇਨੰਤੀ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਤੇਰੇ ਜਨ ਦੇਖਣੁ ਪਾਵਾ ॥੨॥ |
| naanak kee baenanthee suaamee thaerae jan dhaekhan paavaa ||2|| |
| This is Nanak's prayer: O my Lord and Master, may I obtain the Blessed Vision of Your humble servants. ||2|| |
|
| ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਸੇ ਕਾਢੀਅਹਿ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਸੰਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਜਿਨਾ ਵਾਸੋ ॥ |
| vaddabhaagee sae kaadteeahi piaarae santhasangath jinaa vaaso || |
| They are said to be very fortunate, O Beloved, who who dwell in the Society of the Saints. |
|
| ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨਾਮੁ ਅਰਾਧੀਐ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਮਨੈ ਹੋਵੈ ਪਰਗਾਸੋ ॥ |
| anmrith naam araadhheeai niramal manai hovai paragaaso || |
| They contemplate the Immaculate, Ambrosial Naam, and their minds are illuminated. |
|
| ਜਨਮ ਮਰਣ ਦੁਖੁ ਕਾਟੀਐ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਚੂਕੈ ਜਮ ਕੀ ਕਾਣੇ ॥ |
| janam maran dhukh kaatteeai piaarae chookai jam kee kaanae || |
| The pains of birth and death are eradicated, O Beloved, and the fear of the Messenger of Death is ended. |
|
| ਤਿਨਾ ਪਰਾਪਤਿ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਅਪਣੇ ਭਾਣੇ ॥੩॥ |
| thinaa paraapath dharasan naanak jo prabh apanae bhaanae ||3|| |
| They alone obtain the Blessed Vision of this Darshan, O Nanak, who are pleasing to their God. ||3|| |
