| sarab sidhh har gaaeeai sabh bhalaa manaavehi || |
| All perfect spiritual powers are obtained when one sings the Lord's Praises; everyone wishes him well. |

| ਸਾਧੁ ਸਾਧੁ ਮੁਖ ਤੇ ਕਹਹਿ ਸੁਣਿ ਦਾਸ ਮਿਲਾਵਹਿ ॥੧॥ |
| saadhh saadhh mukh thae kehehi sun dhaas milaavehi ||1|| |
| Everyone calls him holy and spiritual; hearing of him the Lord's slaves come to meet him. ||1|| |

| ਸੂਖ ਸਹਜ ਕਲਿਆਣ ਰਸ ਪੂਰੈ ਗੁਰਿ ਕੀਨ੍ਹ੍ਹ ॥ |
| sookh sehaj kaliaan ras poorai gur keenh || |
| The Perfect Guru blesses him with peace, poise, salvation and happiness. |

| ਜੀਅ ਸਗਲ ਦਇਆਲ ਭਏ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਚੀਨ੍ਹ੍ਹ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ |
| jeea sagal dhaeiaal bheae har har naam cheenh ||1|| rehaao || |
| All living beings become compassionate to him; he remembers the Name of the Lord, Har, Har. ||1||Pause|| |

| God, the Great Giver, has become merciful; He has listened to my prayer. |

| ਰਾਖਿ ਲੀਆ ਅਪਨਾ ਸੇਵਕੋ ਮੁਖਿ ਨਿੰਦਕ ਛਾਰੁ ॥੧॥ |
| raakh leeaa apanaa saevako mukh nindhak shhaar ||1|| |
| He has saved His servant, and put ashes into the mouth of the slanderer. ||1|| |

| ਤੁਝਹਿ ਨ ਜੋਹੈ ਕੋ ਮੀਤ ਜਨ ਤੂੰ ਗੁਰ ਕਾ ਦਾਸ ॥ |
| thujhehi n johai ko meeth jan thoon gur kaa dhaas || |
| No one can threaten you now, O my humble friend, for you are the slave of the Guru. |

| ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮਿ ਤੂ ਰਾਖਿਆ ਦੇ ਅਪਨੇ ਹਾਥ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ |

| The One Lord is the Giver of all beings; there is no other at all. |

| jai jai kaar jagath mehi safal jaa kee saev ||1|| |
| God is celebrated and acclaimed all over the world; it is fruitful and rewarding to serve Him. ||1|| |

| Lofty, infinite and immeasurable is the Lord; all beings are in His Hands. |

| I worship the Perfect Guru in adoration; He has become merciful to me. |

| The Saint has shown me the Way, and the noose of Death has been cut away. ||1|| |

| ਦੂਖ ਭੂਖ ਸੰਸਾ ਮਿਟਿਆ ਗਾਵਤ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਨਾਮ ॥ |
| dhookh bhookh sansaa mittiaa gaavath prabh naam || |
| Pain, hunger and scepticism have been dispelled, singing the Name of God. |

| ਸਹਜ ਸੂਖ ਆਨੰਦ ਰਸ ਪੂਰਨ ਸਭਿ ਕਾਮ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ |
| sehaj sookh aanandh ras pooran sabh kaam ||1|| rehaao || |
| I am blessed with celestial peace, poise, bliss and pleasure, and all my affairs have been perfectly resolved. ||1||Pause|| |

| ਜਲਨਿ ਬੁਝੀ ਸੀਤਲ ਭਏ ਰਾਖੇ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਆਪ ॥ |
| jalan bujhee seethal bheae raakhae prabh aap || |
| The fire of desire has been quenched, and I am cooled and soothed; God Himself saved me. |

| The earth is beautified, all places are fruitful, and my affairs are perfectly resolved. |

| bho naathaa bhram mitt gaeiaa raviaa nith raam ||1|| |
| Fear runs away, and doubt is dispelled, dwelling constantly upon the Lord. ||1|| |

| ਸਾਧ ਜਨਾ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਬਸਤ ਸੁਖ ਸਹਜ ਬਿਸ੍ਰਾਮ ॥ |
| saadhh janaa kai sang basath sukh sehaj bisraam || |
| Dwelling with the humble Holy people, one finds peace, poise and tranquility. |

| ਸਾਈ ਘੜੀ ਸੁਲਖਣੀ ਸਿਮਰਤ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ |

| Blessed and auspicious is that time, when one meditates in remembrance on the Lord's Name. ||1||Pause|| |

| pragatt bheae sansaar mehi firathae pehanaam || |
| They have become famous throughout the world; before this, no one even knew their names. |

| ਨਾਨਕ ਤਿਸੁ ਸਰਣਾਗਤੀ ਘਟ ਘਟ ਸਭ ਜਾਨ ॥੨॥੧੨॥੭੬॥ |

| Nanak has come to the Sanctuary of the One who knows each and every heart. ||2||12||76|| |

| God Himself eradicated the disease; peace and tranquility have welled up. |

| ਵਡ ਪਰਤਾਪੁ ਅਚਰਜ ਰੂਪੁ ਹਰਿ ਕੀਨ੍ਹ੍ਹੀ ਦਾਤਿ ॥੧॥ |
| vadd parathaap acharaj roop har keenhee dhaath ||1|| |
| The Lord blessed me with the gifts of great, glorious radiance and wondrous form. ||1|| |
|
| ਗੁਰਿ ਗੋਵਿੰਦਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰੀ ਰਾਖਿਆ ਮੇਰਾ ਭਾਈ ॥ |
| gur govindh kirapaa karee raakhiaa maeraa bhaaee || |
| The Guru, the Lord of the Universe, has shown mercy to me, and saved my brother. |
|
| ਹਮ ਤਿਸ ਕੀ ਸਰਣਾਗਤੀ ਜੋ ਸਦਾ ਸਹਾਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ |

| Those who forget the Giver of life, die, over and over again, only to be reborn and die. |

| ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਜਨਿ ਸੇਵਿਆ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਾਤਾ ॥੧॥ |
| paarabreham jan saeviaa anadhin rang raathaa ||1|| |
| The humble servant of the Supreme Lord God serves Him; night and day, he remains imbued with His Love. ||1|| |

| ਸਾਂਤਿ ਸਹਜੁ ਆਨਦੁ ਘਨਾ ਪੂਰਨ ਭਈ ਆਸ ॥ |
| saanth sehaj aanadh ghanaa pooran bhee aas || |
| I have found peace, tranquility and great ecstasy; my hopes have been fulfilled. |

| ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਹਰਿ ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਸਿਮਰਤ ਗੁਣਤਾਸ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ |
| sukh paaeiaa har saadhhasang simarath gunathaas ||1|| rehaao || |
| I have found peace in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy; I meditate in remembrance on the Lord, the treasure of virtue. ||1||Pause|| |
