| Forever and ever, I am a sacrifice to Him. |

| Granting His Mercy, He saves His slaves. |

| ਨਾ ਇਹੁ ਬੂਢਾ ਨਾ ਇਹੁ ਬਾਲਾ ॥ |
| naa eihu boodtaa naa eihu baalaa || |
| He is not old; He is not young. |

| ਨਾ ਇਸੁ ਦੂਖੁ ਨਹੀ ਜਮ ਜਾਲਾ ॥ |
| naa eis dhookh nehee jam jaalaa || |
| He is not in pain; He is not caught in Death's noose. |

| ਨਾ ਇਹੁ ਬਿਨਸੈ ਨਾ ਇਹੁ ਜਾਇ ॥ |

| He does not die; He does not go away. |

| ਆਦਿ ਜੁਗਾਦੀ ਰਹਿਆ ਸਮਾਇ ॥੧॥ |

| In the beginning, and throughout the ages, He is permeating everywhere. ||1|| |

| ਨਾ ਇਸੁ ਉਸਨੁ ਨਹੀ ਇਸੁ ਸੀਤੁ ॥ |

| He is not hot; He is not cold. |
|
| ਨਾ ਇਸੁ ਦੁਸਮਨੁ ਨਾ ਇਸੁ ਮੀਤੁ ॥ |
| naa eis dhusaman naa eis meeth || |
| He has no enemy; He has no friend. |
|
| ਨਾ ਇਸੁ ਹਰਖੁ ਨਹੀ ਇਸੁ ਸੋਗੁ ॥ |
| naa eis harakh nehee eis sog || |
| He is not happy; He is not sad. |
|
| ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਇਸ ਕਾ ਇਹੁ ਕਰਨੈ ਜੋਗੁ ॥੨॥ |
| sabh kishh eis kaa eihu karanai jog ||2|| |
| Everything belongs to Him; He can do anything. ||2|| |

| ਨਾ ਇਸੁ ਬਾਪੁ ਨਹੀ ਇਸੁ ਮਾਇਆ ॥ |

| He has no father; He has no mother. |
|
| ਇਹੁ ਅਪਰੰਪਰੁ ਹੋਤਾ ਆਇਆ ॥ |

| He is beyond the beyond, and has always been so. |
|
| ਪਾਪ ਪੁੰਨ ਕਾ ਇਸੁ ਲੇਪੁ ਨ ਲਾਗੈ ॥ |

| He is not affected by virtue or vice. |
|
| ਘਟ ਘਟ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਸਦ ਹੀ ਜਾਗੈ ॥੩॥ |
| ghatt ghatt anthar sadh hee jaagai ||3|| |
| Deep within each and every heart, He is always awake and aware. ||3|| |
|
| ਤੀਨਿ ਗੁਣਾ ਇਕ ਸਕਤਿ ਉਪਾਇਆ ॥ |
| theen gunaa eik sakath oupaaeiaa || |
| From the three qualities, the one mechanism of Maya was produced. |
|
| ਮਹਾ ਮਾਇਆ ਤਾ ਕੀ ਹੈ ਛਾਇਆ ॥ |
| mehaa maaeiaa thaa kee hai shhaaeiaa || |
| The great Maya is only His shadow. |
|
| ਅਛਲ ਅਛੇਦ ਅਭੇਦ ਦਇਆਲ ॥ |
| ashhal ashhaedh abhaedh dhaeiaal || |
| He is undeceivable, impenetrable, unfathomable and merciful. |
|
| ਦੀਨ ਦਇਆਲ ਸਦਾ ਕਿਰਪਾਲ ॥ |
| dheen dhaeiaal sadhaa kirapaal || |
| He is merciful to the meek, forever compassionate. |
|
| ਤਾ ਕੀ ਗਤਿ ਮਿਤਿ ਕਛੂ ਨ ਪਾਇ ॥ |

| His state and limits cannot ever be known. |

| Associating with the Saints, I sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord. |

| ਸੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਕਿਲਵਿਖ ਸਭਿ ਗਏ ॥ |
| santh prasaadh kilavikh sabh geae || |
| By the Grace of the Saints, all the sins are taken away. |

| ਸੰਤ ਸਰਣਿ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਪਏ ॥੧॥ |

| By great good fortune, one finds the Sanctuary of the Saints. ||1|| |

| Meditating on the Lord, no obstacles will block your way. |

| When the Supreme Lord God becomes merciful, |

| ਸਾਧੂ ਜਨ ਕੀ ਕਰੈ ਰਵਾਲ ॥ |
| saadhhoo jan kee karai ravaal || |
| he makes me the dust of the feet of the Holy. |

| ਕਾਮੁ ਕ੍ਰੋਧੁ ਇਸੁ ਤਨ ਤੇ ਜਾਇ ॥ |
| kaam krodhh eis than thae jaae || |
| Sexual desire and anger leave his body, |
|
| ਰਾਮ ਰਤਨੁ ਵਸੈ ਮਨਿ ਆਇ ॥੨॥ |
| raam rathan vasai man aae ||2|| |
| and the Lord, the jewel, comes to dwell in his mind. ||2|| |

| ਸਫਲੁ ਜਨਮੁ ਤਾਂ ਕਾ ਪਰਵਾਣੁ ॥ |

| Fruitful and approved is the life of one |
|
| ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਨਿਕਟਿ ਕਰਿ ਜਾਣੁ ॥ |

| who knows the Supreme Lord God to be close. |

| ਭਾਇ ਭਗਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀਰਤਨਿ ਲਾਗੈ ॥ |

| One who is committed to loving devotional worship of God, and the Kirtan of His Praises, |

| ਜਨਮ ਜਨਮ ਕਾ ਸੋਇਆ ਜਾਗੈ ॥੩॥ |

| awakens from the sleep of countless incarnations. ||3|| |
|
| ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਜਨ ਕਾ ਆਧਾਰੁ ॥ |
| charan kamal jan kaa aadhhaar || |
| The Lord's Lotus Feet are the Support of His humble servant. |
|
| ਗੁਣ ਗੋਵਿੰਦ ਰਉਂ ਸਚੁ ਵਾਪਾਰੁ ॥ |

| To chant the Praises of the Lord of the Universe is the true trade. |

| ਦਾਸ ਜਨਾ ਕੀ ਮਨਸਾ ਪੂਰਿ ॥ |

| Please fulfill the hopes of Your humble slave. |
