| har har anmrith har man bhaavai mil sathigur anmrith peejai jeeo ||2|| |
| The Ambrosial Nectar of the Lord's Name, Har, Har, is so sweet to my mind. Meeting the True Guru, I drink in this Ambrosial Nectar. ||2|| |

| ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਹਰਿ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਪਾਵਹਿ ॥ |
| vaddabhaagee har sangath paavehi || |
| By great good fortune, the Lord's Congregation is found, |

| ਭਾਗਹੀਨ ਭ੍ਰਮਿ ਚੋਟਾ ਖਾਵਹਿ ॥ |
| bhaageheen bhram chottaa khaavehi || |
| while the unfortunate ones wander around in doubt, enduring painful beatings. |

| ਬਿਨੁ ਭਾਗਾ ਸਤਸੰਗੁ ਨ ਲਭੈ ਬਿਨੁ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਮੈਲੁ ਭਰੀਜੈ ਜੀਉ ॥੩॥ |
| bin bhaagaa sathasang n labhai bin sangath mail bhareejai jeeo ||3|| |
| Without good fortune, the Sat Sangat is not found; without this Sangat, people are stained with filth and pollution. ||3|| |

| ਮੈ ਆਇ ਮਿਲਹੁ ਜਗਜੀਵਨ ਪਿਆਰੇ ॥ |
| mai aae milahu jagajeevan piaarae || |
| Come and meet me, O Life of the World, my Beloved. |

| ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਦਇਆ ਮਨਿ ਧਾਰੇ ॥ |
| har har naam dhaeiaa man dhhaarae || |
| Please bless me with Your Mercy, and enshrine Your Name, Har, Har, within my mind. |

| ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਮੀਠਾ ਮਨਿ ਭਾਇਆ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮਿ ਮਨੁ ਭੀਜੈ ਜੀਉ ॥੪॥੪॥ |
| guramath naam meethaa man bhaaeiaa jan naanak naam man bheejai jeeo ||4||4|| |
| Through the Guru's Teachings, the Sweet Name has become pleasing to my mind. Servant Nanak's mind is drenched and delighted with the Naam. ||4||4|| |

| Through the Guru, I have obtained the Lord's spiritual wisdom. I have obtained the Sublime Essence of the Lord. |

| ਮਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਾਤਾ ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਪੀਆਇਆ ॥ |
| man har rang raathaa har ras peeaaeiaa || |
| My mind is imbued with the Love of the Lord; I drink in the Sublime Essence of the Lord. |

| ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਸੰਤ ਮਿਲਹੁ ਮਨੁ ਦੇਵਾ ਜੋ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਮੁਖਿ ਚਉਦਾ ਜੀਉ ॥੨॥ |
| har kae santh milahu man dhaevaa jo gurabaanee mukh choudhaa jeeo ||2|| |
| I dedicate my mind to those Saints of the Lord, who chant the Word of the Guru's Bani with their mouths. ||2|| |

| ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਹਰਿ ਸੰਤੁ ਮਿਲਾਇਆ ॥ |

| By great good fortune, the Lord has led me to meet His Saint. |

| The Perfect Guru has placed the Sublime Essence of the Lord into my mouth. |

| ਭਾਗਹੀਨ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਨਹੀ ਪਾਇਆ ਮਨਮੁਖੁ ਗਰਭ ਜੂਨੀ ਨਿਤਿ ਪਉਦਾ ਜੀਉ ॥੩॥ |
| bhaageheen sathigur nehee paaeiaa manamukh garabh joonee nith poudhaa jeeo ||3|| |
| The unfortunate ones do not find the True Guru; the self-willed manmukhs continually endure reincarnation through the womb. ||3|| |

| ਆਪਿ ਦਇਆਲਿ ਦਇਆ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਧਾਰੀ ॥ |
| aap dhaeiaal dhaeiaa prabh dhhaaree || |
| God, the Merciful, has Himself bestowed His Mercy. |

| ਮਲੁ ਹਉਮੈ ਬਿਖਿਆ ਸਭ ਨਿਵਾਰੀ ॥ |
| mal houmai bikhiaa sabh nivaaree || |
| He has totally removed the poisonous pollution of egotism. |
|
| ਨਾਨਕ ਹਟ ਪਟਣ ਵਿਚਿ ਕਾਂਇਆ ਹਰਿ ਲੈਂਦੇ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸਉਦਾ ਜੀਉ ॥੪॥੫॥ |

| O Nanak, in the shops of the city of the human body, the Gurmukhs buy the merchandise of the Lord's Name. ||4||5|| |

| I meditate on the Glorious Praises of the Lord of the Universe, and the Name of the Lord. |

| Joining the Sangat, the Holy Congregation, the Name comes to dwell in the mind. |

| ਧਨੁ ਧਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਜਨ ਜਿਨਿ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਜਾਤਾ ॥ |
| dhhan dhhan har jan jin har prabh jaathaa || |
| Blessed, blessed are the humble servants of the Lord, who know the Lord God. |

| ਜਾਇ ਪੁਛਾ ਜਨ ਹਰਿ ਕੀ ਬਾਤਾ ॥ |
| jaae pushhaa jan har kee baathaa || |
| I go and ask those humble servants about the Mysteries of the Lord. |

| ਪਾਵ ਮਲੋਵਾ ਮਲਿ ਮਲਿ ਧੋਵਾ ਮਿਲਿ ਹਰਿ ਜਨ ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਪੀਚੈ ਜੀਉ ॥੨॥ |
| paav malovaa mal mal dhhovaa mil har jan har ras peechai jeeo ||2|| |
| I wash and massage their feet; joining with the humble servants of the Lord, I drink in the Sublime Essence of the Lord. ||2|| |

| ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਦਾਤੈ ਨਾਮੁ ਦਿੜਾਇਆ ॥ |

| The True Guru, the Giver, has implanted the Naam, the Name of the Lord, within me. |

| By great good fortune, I have obtained the Blessed Vision of the Guru's Darshan. |

| ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਰਸੁ ਸਚੁ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਬੋਲੀ ਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਲੀਚੈ ਜੀਉ ॥੩॥ |

| The True Essence is Ambrosial Nectar; through the Ambrosial Words of the Perfect Guru, this Amrit is obtained. ||3|| |

| I am a sacrifice to the one who tells me of my Beloved. |

| mil sathasangath ladhhaa har sajan ho sathigur vittahu ghumaaeeaa jeeo ||1|| |
| Joining the Sat Sangat, the True Congregation, I have found the Lord, my Best Friend. I am a sacrifice to the True Guru. ||1|| |

| ਜਹ ਜਹ ਦੇਖਾ ਤਹ ਤਹ ਸੁਆਮੀ ॥ |
| jeh jeh dhaekhaa theh theh suaamee || |
| Wherever I look, there I see my Lord and Master. |
|
| ਤੂ ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਰਵਿਆ ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ॥ |
| thoo ghatt ghatt raviaa antharajaamee || |
| You are permeating each and every heart, O Lord, Inner-knower, Searcher of Hearts. |

| ਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਲਿ ਦਿਖਾਲਿਆ ਹਉ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਵਿਟਹੁ ਸਦ ਵਾਰਿਆ ਜੀਉ ॥੨॥ |

| The Perfect Guru has shown me that the Lord is always with me. I am forever a sacrifice to the True Guru. ||2|| |

| ਏਕੋ ਪਵਣੁ ਮਾਟੀ ਸਭ ਏਕਾ ਸਭ ਏਕਾ ਜੋਤਿ ਸਬਾਈਆ ॥ |
| eaeko pavan maattee sabh eaekaa sabh eaekaa joth sabaaeeaa || |
| There is only one breath; all are made of the same clay; the light within all is the same. |

| ਸਭ ਇਕਾ ਜੋਤਿ ਵਰਤੈ ਭਿਨਿ ਭਿਨਿ ਨ ਰਲਈ ਕਿਸੈ ਦੀ ਰਲਾਈਆ ॥ |
| sabh eikaa joth varathai bhin bhin n ralee kisai dhee ralaaeeaa || |
| The One Light pervades all the many and various beings. This Light intermingles with them, but it is not diluted or obscured. |

| ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦੀ ਇਕੁ ਨਦਰੀ ਆਇਆ ਹਉ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਵਿਟਹੁ ਵਤਾਇਆ ਜੀਉ ॥੩॥ |
| gur parasaadhee eik nadharee aaeiaa ho sathigur vittahu vathaaeiaa jeeo ||3|| |
| By Guru's Grace, I have come to see the One. I am a sacrifice to the True Guru. ||3|| |

| It is dear and pleasing to the minds of the GurSikhs. |
