| hiradhai naam dhae niramal keeeae naanak rang rasaalaa jeeo ||4||8||15|| |
| With the Naam, the Name of the Lord, in my heart, I have been purified. O Nanak, His Love has imbued me with nectar. ||4||8||15|| |

| Profoundly Deep, Infinite Lord of the Universe, |

| ਊਚ ਅਥਾਹ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਹਉ ਜੀਵਾਂ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥ |

| Highest of the High, Unfathomable, Infinite Lord and Master: continually remembering You in deep meditation, I live. ||1|| |

| O Destroyer of pain, Priceless Treasure, |

| ਨਿਰਭਉ ਨਿਰਵੈਰ ਅਥਾਹ ਅਤੋਲੇ ॥ |
| nirabho niravair athhaah atholae || |
| Fearless, free of hate, Unfathomable, Immeasurable, |

| ਅਕਾਲ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਅਜੂਨੀ ਸੰਭੌ ਮਨ ਸਿਮਰਤ ਠੰਢਾ ਥੀਵਾਂ ਜੀਉ ॥੨॥ |
| akaal moorath ajoonee sanbha man simarath thandtaa thheevaan jeeo ||2|| |
| of Undying Form, Unborn, Self-illumined: remembering You in meditation, my mind is filled with a deep and profound peace. ||2|| |

| ਸਦਾ ਸੰਗੀ ਹਰਿ ਰੰਗ ਗੋਪਾਲਾ ॥ |
| sadhaa sangee har rang gopaalaa || |
| The Joyous Lord, the Sustainer of the World, is my constant Companion. |

| ਊਚ ਨੀਚ ਕਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲਾ ॥ |

| He cherishes the high and the low. |
|
| ਨਾਮੁ ਰਸਾਇਣੁ ਮਨੁ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤਾਇਣੁ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਪੀਵਾਂ ਜੀਉ ॥੩॥ |
| naam rasaaein man thripathaaein guramukh anmrith peevaan jeeo ||3|| |
| The Nectar of the Name satisfies my mind. As Gurmukh, I drink in the Ambrosial Nectar. ||3|| |

| ਦੁਖਿ ਸੁਖਿ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਤੁਧੁ ਧਿਆਈ ॥ |
| dhukh sukh piaarae thudhh dhhiaaee || |
| In suffering and in comfort, I meditate on You, O Beloved. |

| ਏਹ ਸੁਮਤਿ ਗੁਰੂ ਤੇ ਪਾਈ ॥ |
| eaeh sumath guroo thae paaee || |
| I have obtained this sublime understanding from the Guru. |

| ਨਾਨਕ ਕੀ ਧਰ ਤੂੰਹੈ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਹਰਿ ਰੰਗਿ ਪਾਰਿ ਪਰੀਵਾਂ ਜੀਉ ॥੪॥੯॥੧੬॥ |

| You are Nanak's Support, O my Lord and Master; through Your Love, I swim across to the other side. ||4||9||16|| |

| Blessed is that time when I meet the True Guru. |

| ਸਫਲੁ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਨੇਤ੍ਰ ਪੇਖਤ ਤਰਿਆ ॥ |
| safal dharasan naethr paekhath thariaa || |
| Gazing upon the Fruitful Vision of His Darshan, I have been saved. |

| ਧੰਨੁ ਮੂਰਤ ਚਸੇ ਪਲ ਘੜੀਆ ਧੰਨਿ ਸੁ ਓਇ ਸੰਜੋਗਾ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥ |
| dhhann moorath chasae pal gharreeaa dhhann s oue sanjogaa jeeo ||1|| |
| Blessed are the hours, the minutes and the seconds-blessed is that Union with Him. ||1|| |
|
| ਉਦਮੁ ਕਰਤ ਮਨੁ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਹੋਆ ॥ |

| Making the effort, my mind has become pure. |
|
| ਹਰਿ ਮਾਰਗਿ ਚਲਤ ਭ੍ਰਮੁ ਸਗਲਾ ਖੋਇਆ ॥ |
| har maarag chalath bhram sagalaa khoeiaa || |
| Walking on the Lord's Path, my doubts have all been cast out. |

| ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਸੁਣਾਇਆ ਮਿਟਿ ਗਏ ਸਗਲੇ ਰੋਗਾ ਜੀਉ ॥੨॥ |
| naam nidhhaan sathiguroo sunaaeiaa mitt geae sagalae rogaa jeeo ||2|| |
| The True Guru has inspired me to hear the Treasure of the Naam; all my illness has been dispelled. ||2|| |

| ਅੰਤਰਿ ਬਾਹਰਿ ਤੇਰੀ ਬਾਣੀ ॥ |
| anthar baahar thaeree baanee || |
| The Word of Your Bani is inside and outside as well. |
|
| ਤੁਧੁ ਆਪਿ ਕਥੀ ਤੈ ਆਪਿ ਵਖਾਣੀ ॥ |
| thudhh aap kathhee thai aap vakhaanee || |
| You Yourself chant it, and You Yourself speak it. |
|
| ਗੁਰਿ ਕਹਿਆ ਸਭੁ ਏਕੋ ਏਕੋ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਕੋਈ ਹੋਇਗਾ ਜੀਉ ॥੩॥ |
| gur kehiaa sabh eaeko eaeko avar n koee hoeigaa jeeo ||3|| |
| The Guru has said that He is One-All is the One. There shall never be any other. ||3|| |

| ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਰਸੁ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਰ ਤੇ ਪੀਆ ॥ |
| anmrith ras har gur thae peeaa || |
| I drink in the Lord's Ambrosial Essence from the Guru; |
|
| ਹਰਿ ਪੈਨਣੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਭੋਜਨੁ ਥੀਆ ॥ |
| har painan naam bhojan thheeaa || |
| the Lord's Name has become my clothing and food. |
|
| ਨਾਮਿ ਰੰਗ ਨਾਮਿ ਚੋਜ ਤਮਾਸੇ ਨਾਉ ਨਾਨਕ ਕੀਨੇ ਭੋਗਾ ਜੀਉ ॥੪॥੧੦॥੧੭॥ |
| naam rang naam choj thamaasae naao naanak keenae bhogaa jeeo ||4||10||17|| |
| The Name is my delight, the Name is my play and entertainment. O Nanak, I have made the Name my enjoyment. ||4||10||17|| |

| I beg of all the Saints: please, give me the merchandise. |

| ਕਰਉ ਬਿਨੰਤੀ ਮਾਨੁ ਤਿਆਗਉ ॥ |
| karo binanthee maan thiaago || |
| I offer my prayers-I have forsaken my pride. |
|
| ਵਾਰਿ ਵਾਰਿ ਜਾਈ ਲਖ ਵਰੀਆ ਦੇਹੁ ਸੰਤਨ ਕੀ ਧੂਰਾ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥ |
| vaar vaar jaaee lakh vareeaa dhaehu santhan kee dhhooraa jeeo ||1|| |
| I am a sacrifice, hundreds of thousands of times a sacrifice, and I pray: please, give me the dust of the feet of the Saints. ||1|| |
|
| ਤੁਮ ਦਾਤੇ ਤੁਮ ਪੁਰਖ ਬਿਧਾਤੇ ॥ |
| thum dhaathae thum purakh bidhhaathae || |
| You are the Giver, You are the Architect of Destiny. |
|
| ਤੁਮ ਸਮਰਥ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖਦਾਤੇ ॥ |
| thum samarathh sadhaa sukhadhaathae || |
| You are All-powerful, the Giver of Eternal Peace. |
|
| ਸਭ ਕੋ ਤੁਮ ਹੀ ਤੇ ਵਰਸਾਵੈ ਅਉਸਰੁ ਕਰਹੁ ਹਮਾਰਾ ਪੂਰਾ ਜੀਉ ॥੨॥ |
| sabh ko thum hee thae varasaavai aousar karahu hamaaraa pooraa jeeo ||2|| |
| You bless everyone. Please bring my life to fulfillment. ||2|| |

| ਦਰਸਨਿ ਤੇਰੈ ਭਵਨ ਪੁਨੀਤਾ ॥ |
| dharasan thaerai bhavan puneethaa || |
| The body-temple is sanctified by the Blessed Vision of Your Darshan, |
|
| ਆਤਮ ਗੜੁ ਬਿਖਮੁ ਤਿਨਾ ਹੀ ਜੀਤਾ ॥ |
| aatham garr bikham thinaa hee jeethaa || |
| and thus, the impregnable fort of the soul is conquered. |
|
| ਰੇਨੁ ਸੰਤਨ ਕੀ ਮੇਰੈ ਮੁਖਿ ਲਾਗੀ ॥ |
| raen santhan kee maerai mukh laagee || |
| I applied the dust of the feet of the Saints to my face. |
|
| ਦੁਰਮਤਿ ਬਿਨਸੀ ਕੁਬੁਧਿ ਅਭਾਗੀ ॥ |
| dhuramath binasee kubudhh abhaagee || |
| My evil-mindedness disappeared, along with my misfortune and false-mindedness. |
|
| ਸਚ ਘਰਿ ਬੈਸਿ ਰਹੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਏ ਨਾਨਕ ਬਿਨਸੇ ਕੂਰਾ ਜੀਉ ॥੪॥੧੧॥੧੮॥ |
| sach ghar bais rehae gun gaaeae naanak binasae kooraa jeeo ||4||11||18|| |
| I sit in the true home of my self; I sing His Glorious Praises. O Nanak, my falsehood has vanished! ||4||11||18|| |

| ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਭਗਤਨ ਸੰਗਿ ਰਾਤੇ ॥ |
| kar kirapaa bhagathan sang raathae || |
| Please grant Your Grace, and imbue me with the love of devotional worship. |

| ਦਿਨਸੁ ਰੈਣਿ ਜਿਉ ਤੁਧੁ ਧਿਆਈ ਏਹੁ ਦਾਨੁ ਮੋਹਿ ਕਰਣਾ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥ |
| dhinas rain jio thudhh dhhiaaee eaehu dhaan mohi karanaa jeeo ||1|| |
| If it pleases You, let me meditate on You day and night; please, grant me this gift! ||1|| |

| ਮਾਟੀ ਅੰਧੀ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਸਮਾਈ ॥ |
| maattee andhhee surath samaaee || |
| Into this blind clay, You have infused awareness. |
|
| ਸਭ ਕਿਛੁ ਦੀਆ ਭਲੀਆ ਜਾਈ ॥ |
| sabh kishh dheeaa bhaleeaa jaaee || |
| Everything, everywhere which You have given is good. |

| ਅਨਦ ਬਿਨੋਦ ਚੋਜ ਤਮਾਸੇ ਤੁਧੁ ਭਾਵੈ ਸੋ ਹੋਣਾ ਜੀਉ ॥੨॥ |
| anadh binodh choj thamaasae thudhh bhaavai so honaa jeeo ||2|| |
| Bliss, joyful celebrations, wondrous plays and entertainment-whatever pleases You, comes to pass. ||2|| |

| ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਦਿਤਾ ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਲੈਣਾ ॥ |
| jis dhaa dhithaa sabh kishh lainaa || |
| Everything we receive is a gift from Him |

| ਛਤੀਹ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਭੋਜਨੁ ਖਾਣਾ ॥ |
