| lathaa balee saakh sabh simarehi rav rehiaa suaamee sabh manaa ||4|| |
| All the vines and branches meditate in remembrance; O my Lord and Master, You are permeating and pervading all minds. ||4|| |

| ਸਿਮਰਹਿ ਥੂਲ ਸੂਖਮ ਸਭਿ ਜੰਤਾ ॥ |
| simarehi thhool sookham sabh janthaa || |
| All beings, both subtle and gross, meditate in remembrance. |

| ਸਿਮਰਹਿ ਸਿਧ ਸਾਧਿਕ ਹਰਿ ਮੰਤਾ ॥ |
| simarehi sidhh saadhhik har manthaa || |
| The Siddhas and seekers meditate in remembrance on the Lord's Mantra. |

| ਗੁਪਤ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਸਿਮਰਹਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਗਲ ਭਵਨ ਕਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਧਨਾ ॥੫॥ |
| gupath pragatt simarehi prabh maerae sagal bhavan kaa prabh dhhanaa ||5|| |
| Both the visible and the invisible meditate in remembrance on my God; God is the Master of all worlds. ||5|| |

| ਸਿਮਰਹਿ ਨਰ ਨਾਰੀ ਆਸਰਮਾ ॥ |
| simarehi nar naaree aasaramaa || |
| Men and women, throughout the four stages of life, meditate in remembrance on You. |

| ਸਿਮਰਹਿ ਜਾਤਿ ਜੋਤਿ ਸਭਿ ਵਰਨਾ ॥ |
| simarehi jaath joth sabh varanaa || |
| All social classes and souls of all races meditate in remembrance on You. |

| ਸਿਮਰਹਿ ਗੁਣੀ ਚਤੁਰ ਸਭਿ ਬੇਤੇ ਸਿਮਰਹਿ ਰੈਣੀ ਅਰੁ ਦਿਨਾ ॥੬॥ |
| simarehi gunee chathur sabh baethae simarehi rainee ar dhinaa ||6|| |
| All the virtuous, clever and wise people meditate in remembrance; night and day meditate in remembrance. ||6|| |

| ਸਿਮਰਹਿ ਘੜੀ ਮੂਰਤ ਪਲ ਨਿਮਖਾ ॥ |
| simarehi gharree moorath pal nimakhaa || |
| Hours, minutes and seconds meditate in remembrance. |

| ਸਿਮਰੈ ਕਾਲੁ ਅਕਾਲੁ ਸੁਚਿ ਸੋਚਾ ॥ |
| simarai kaal akaal such sochaa || |
| Death and life, and thoughts of purification, meditate in remembrance. |

| ਸਿਮਰਹਿ ਸਉਣ ਸਾਸਤ੍ਰ ਸੰਜੋਗਾ ਅਲਖੁ ਨ ਲਖੀਐ ਇਕੁ ਖਿਨਾ ॥੭॥ |
| simarehi soun saasathr sanjogaa alakh n lakheeai eik khinaa ||7|| |
| The Shaastras, with their lucky signs and joinings, meditate in remembrance; the invisible cannot be seen, even for an instant. ||7|| |
|
| ਕਰਨ ਕਰਾਵਨਹਾਰ ਸੁਆਮੀ ॥ |
| karan karaavanehaar suaamee || |
| The Lord and Master is the Doer, the Cause of causes. |
|
| ਸਗਲ ਘਟਾ ਕੇ ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ॥ |
| sagal ghattaa kae antharajaamee || |
| He is the Inner-knower, the Searcher of all hearts. |
|
| ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਜਿਸੁ ਭਗਤੀ ਲਾਵਹੁ ਜਨਮੁ ਪਦਾਰਥੁ ਸੋ ਜਿਨਾ ॥੮॥ |
| kar kirapaa jis bhagathee laavahu janam padhaarathh so jinaa ||8|| |
| That person, whom You bless with Your Grace, and link to Your devotional service, wins this invaluable human life. ||8|| |
|
| ਜਾ ਕੈ ਮਨਿ ਵੂਠਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਅਪਨਾ ॥ |
| jaa kai man voothaa prabh apanaa || |
| He, within whose mind God dwells, |
|
| ਪੂਰੈ ਕਰਮਿ ਗੁਰ ਕਾ ਜਪੁ ਜਪਨਾ ॥ |
| poorai karam gur kaa jap japanaa || |
| has perfect karma, and chants the Chant of the Guru. |

| ਸਰਬ ਨਿਰੰਤਰਿ ਸੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਜਾਤਾ ਬਹੁੜਿ ਨ ਜੋਨੀ ਭਰਮਿ ਰੁਨਾ ॥੯॥ |
| sarab niranthar so prabh jaathaa bahurr n jonee bharam runaa ||9|| |
| One who realizes God pervading deep within all, does not wander crying in reincarnation again. ||9|| |
|
| ਗੁਰ ਕਾ ਸਬਦੁ ਵਸੈ ਮਨਿ ਜਾ ਕੈ ॥ਦੂਖੁ ਦਰਦੁ ਭ੍ਰਮੁ ਤਾ ਕਾ ਭਾਗੈ ॥ |
| gur kaa sabadh vasai man jaa kai || dhookh dharadh bhram thaa kaa bhaagai || |
| Pain, sorrow and doubt run away from that one, within whose mind the Word of the Guru's Shabad abides. |

| ਸੂਖ ਸਹਜ ਆਨੰਦ ਨਾਮ ਰਸੁ ਅਨਹਦ ਬਾਣੀ ਸਹਜ ਧੁਨਾ ॥੧੦॥ |
| sookh sehaj aanandh naam ras anehadh baanee sehaj dhhunaa ||10|| |
| Intuitive peace, poise and bliss come from the sublime essence of the Naam; the unstruck sound current of the Guru's Bani intuitively vibrates and resounds. ||10|| |
|
| ਸੋ ਧਨਵੰਤਾ ਜਿਨਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਧਿਆਇਆ ॥ |
| so dhhanavanthaa jin prabh dhhiaaeiaa || |
| He alone is wealthy, who meditates on God. |
|
| ਸੋ ਪਤਿਵੰਤਾ ਜਿਨਿ ਸਾਧਸੰਗੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥ |
| so pathivanthaa jin saadhhasang paaeiaa || |
| He alone is honorable, who joins the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy. |

| ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਜਾ ਕੈ ਮਨਿ ਵੂਠਾ ਸੋ ਪੂਰ ਕਰੰਮਾ ਨਾ ਛਿਨਾ ॥੧੧॥ |
| paarabreham jaa kai man voothaa so poor karanmaa naa shhinaa ||11|| |
| That person, within whose mind the Supreme Lord God abides, has perfect karma, and becomes famous. ||11|| |
|
| ਜਲਿ ਥਲਿ ਮਹੀਅਲਿ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਸੋਈ ॥ |
| jal thhal meheeal suaamee soee || |
| The Lord and Master is pervading the water, land and sky. |
|
| ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਕਹੀਐ ਦੂਜਾ ਕੋਈ ॥ |
| avar n keheeai dhoojaa koee || |
| There is no other said to be so. |
|
| ਗੁਰ ਗਿਆਨ ਅੰਜਨਿ ਕਾਟਿਓ ਭ੍ਰਮੁ ਸਗਲਾ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਦੀਸੈ ਏਕ ਬਿਨਾ ॥੧੨॥ |
| gur giaan anjan kaattiou bhram sagalaa avar n dheesai eaek binaa ||12|| |
| The ointment of the Guru's spiritual wisdom has eradicated all doubts; except the One Lord, I do not see any other at all. ||12|| |

| ਊਚੇ ਤੇ ਊਚਾ ਦਰਬਾਰਾ ॥ |
| oochae thae oochaa dharabaaraa || |
| The Lord's Court is the highest of the high. |
|
| ਕਹਣੁ ਨ ਜਾਈ ਅੰਤੁ ਨ ਪਾਰਾ ॥ |
| kehan n jaaee anth n paaraa || |
| His limit and extent cannot be described. |
|
| ਗਹਿਰ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਅਥਾਹ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਅਤੁਲੁ ਨ ਜਾਈ ਕਿਆ ਮਿਨਾ ॥੧੩॥ |
| gehir ganbheer athhaah suaamee athul n jaaee kiaa minaa ||13|| |
| The Lord and Master is profoundly deep, unfathomable and unweighable; how can He be measured? ||13|| |
|
| ਤੂ ਕਰਤਾ ਤੇਰਾ ਸਭੁ ਕੀਆ ॥ |
| thoo karathaa thaeraa sabh keeaa || |
| You are the Creator; all is created by You. |
|
| ਤੁਝੁ ਬਿਨੁ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਕੋਈ ਬੀਆ ॥ |
| thujh bin avar n koee beeaa || |
| Without You, there is no other at all. |
|
| ਆਦਿ ਮਧਿ ਅੰਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਤੂਹੈ ਸਗਲ ਪਸਾਰਾ ਤੁਮ ਤਨਾ ॥੧੪॥ |
| aadh madhh anth prabh thoohai sagal pasaaraa thum thanaa ||14|| |
| You alone, God, are in the beginning, the middle and the end. You are the root of the entire expanse. ||14|| |
|
| ਜਮਦੂਤੁ ਤਿਸੁ ਨਿਕਟਿ ਨ ਆਵੈ ॥ |
| jamadhooth this nikatt n aavai || |
| The Messenger of Death does not even approach that person |
|
| ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਹਰਿ ਕੀਰਤਨੁ ਗਾਵੈ ॥ |
| saadhhasang har keerathan gaavai || |
| who sings the Kirtan of the Lord's Praises in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy. |
|
| ਸਗਲ ਮਨੋਰਥ ਤਾ ਕੇ ਪੂਰਨ ਜੋ ਸ੍ਰਵਣੀ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਾ ਜਸੁ ਸੁਨਾ ॥੧੫॥ |
| sagal manorathh thaa kae pooran jo sravanee prabh kaa jas sunaa ||15|| |
| All desires are fulfilled, for one who listens with his ears to the Praises of God. ||15|| |
|
| ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਸੇਈ ਜਨ ਊਤਮ ਜੋ ਭਾਵਹਿ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਤੁਮ ਮਨਾ ॥੧੬॥੧॥੮॥ |
| kahu naanak saeee jan ootham jo bhaavehi suaamee thum manaa ||16||1||8|| |
| Says Nanak, those humble beings are exalted, who are pleasing to Your Mind, O my Lord and Master. ||16||1||8|| |

| Be merciful to me, that I may meditate in remembrance on Your Name. |

| ਹਰਿ ਦਾਤਾ ਜੀਅ ਜੰਤ ਭੇਖਾਰੀ ਜਨੁ ਬਾਂਛੈ ਜਾਚੰਗਨਾ ॥੧॥ |
| har dhaathaa jeea janth bhaekhaaree jan baanshhai jaachanganaa ||1|| |
| The Lord is the Great Giver; all beings and creatures are beggars; His humble servants yearn to beg from Him. ||1|| |
|
| ਮਾਗਉ ਜਨ ਧੂਰਿ ਪਰਮ ਗਤਿ ਪਾਵਉ ॥ |
| maago jan dhhoor param gath paavo || |
| I beg for the dust of the feet of the humble, that I may be blessed with the supreme status, |
|
| ਜਨਮ ਜਨਮ ਕੀ ਮੈਲੁ ਮਿਟਾਵਉ ॥ |
| janam janam kee mail mittaavo || |
| and the filth of countless lifetimes may be erased. |
|
| ਦੀਰਘ ਰੋਗ ਮਿਟਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਅਉਖਧਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਿਰਮਲਿ ਰਾਪੈ ਮੰਗਨਾ ॥੨॥ |
| dheeragh rog mittehi har aoukhadhh har niramal raapai manganaa ||2|| |
| The chronic diseases are cured by the medicine of the Lord's Name; I beg to be imbued with the Immaculate Lord. ||2|| |
|
| ਸ੍ਰਵਣੀ ਸੁਣਉ ਬਿਮਲ ਜਸੁ ਸੁਆਮੀ ॥ |
| sravanee suno bimal jas suaamee || |
| With my ears, I listen to the Pure Praises of my Lord and Master. |
|
| ਏਕਾ ਓਟ ਤਜਉ ਬਿਖੁ ਕਾਮੀ ॥ |
| eaekaa outt thajo bikh kaamee || |
| With the Support of the One Lord, I have abandoned corruption, sexuality and desire. |

| ਨਿਵਿ ਨਿਵਿ ਪਾਇ ਲਗਉ ਦਾਸ ਤੇਰੇ ਕਰਿ ਸੁਕ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਸੰਗਨਾ ॥੩॥ |
| niv niv paae lago dhaas thaerae kar sukirath naahee sanganaa ||3|| |
| I humbly bow and fall at the feet of Your slaves; I do not hesitate to do good deeds. ||3|| |
|
| ਰਸਨਾ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵੈ ਹਰਿ ਤੇਰੇ ॥ |
| rasanaa gun gaavai har thaerae || |
| O Lord, with my tongue I sing Your Glorious Praises. |
|
| ਮਿਟਹਿ ਕਮਾਤੇ ਅਵਗੁਣ ਮੇਰੇ ॥ |
| mittehi kamaathae avagun maerae || |
| The sins which I have committed are erased. |
|
| ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਮਨੁ ਜੀਵੈ ਪੰਚ ਦੂਤ ਤਜਿ ਤੰਗਨਾ ॥੪॥ |
| simar simar suaamee man jeevai panch dhooth thaj thanganaa ||4|| |
| Meditating, meditating in remembrance on my Lord and Master, my mind lives; I am rid of the five oppressive demons. ||4|| |

| ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਜਪਿ ਬੋਹਿਥਿ ਚਰੀਐ ॥ |
| charan kamal jap bohithh chareeai || |
| Meditating on Your lotus feet, I have come aboard Your boat. |

| ਸੰਤਸੰਗਿ ਮਿਲਿ ਸਾਗਰੁ ਤਰੀਐ ॥ |

| Joining the Society of the Saints, I cross over the world-ocean. |
