| ਜੀਅ ਜੰਤ ਸਭਿ ਤਾ ਕੀ ਸੇਵਾ ॥ |
| jeea janth sabh thaa kee saevaa || |
| All beings and creatures serve Him. |

| ਅੰਡਜ ਜੇਰਜ ਸੇਤਜ ਉਤਭੁਜ ਬਹੁ ਪਰਕਾਰੀ ਪਾਲਕਾ ॥੪॥ |
| anddaj jaeraj saethaj outhabhuj bahu parakaaree paalakaa ||4|| |
| In so many ways, He cherishes those born from eggs, from the womb, from sweat and from the earth. ||4|| |
|
| ਤਿਸਹਿ ਪਰਾਪਤਿ ਹੋਇ ਨਿਧਾਨਾ ॥ |
| thisehi paraapath hoe nidhhaanaa || |
| He alone obtains this wealth, |
|
| ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਰਸੁ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਮਾਨਾ ॥ |
| raam naam ras anthar maanaa || |
| who savors and enjoys, deep within his mind, the Name of the Lord. |
|
| ਆਦਿ ਅੰਤਿ ਮਧਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸੋਈ ॥ |
| aadh anth madhh prabh soee || |
| God exists in the beginning, in the middle and in the end. |
|
| ਆਪੇ ਕਰਤਾ ਕਰੇ ਸੁ ਹੋਈ ॥ |
| aapae karathaa karae s hoee || |
| Whatever the Creator Lord Himself does, comes to pass. |
|
| ਭ੍ਰਮੁ ਭਉ ਮਿਟਿਆ ਸਾਧਸੰਗ ਤੇ ਦਾਲਿਦ ਨ ਕੋਈ ਘਾਲਕਾ ॥੬॥ |
| bhram bho mittiaa saadhhasang thae dhaalidh n koee ghaalakaa ||6|| |
| Doubt and fear are erased, in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, and then one is not afflicted by deadly pain. ||6|| |

| ਊਤਮ ਬਾਣੀ ਗਾਉ ਗਪਾਲਾ ॥ |
| ootham baanee gaao guopaalaa || |
| I sing the most Sublime Bani, the Word of the Lord of the Universe. |
|
| ਸਾਧਸੰਗਤਿ ਕੀ ਮੰਗਹੁ ਰਵਾਲਾ ॥ |
| saadhhasangath kee mangahu ravaalaa || |
| I beg for the dust of the feet of the Saadh Sangat. |
|
| ਬਾਸਨ ਮੇਟਿ ਨਿਬਾਸਨ ਹੋਈਐ ਕਲਮਲ ਸਗਲੇ ਜਾਲਕਾ ॥੭॥ |
| baasan maett nibaasan hoeeai kalamal sagalae jaalakaa ||7|| |
| Eradicating desire, I have become free of desire; I have burnt away all my sins. ||7|| |
|
| ਸੰਤਾ ਕੀ ਇਹ ਰੀਤਿ ਨਿਰਾਲੀ ॥ |
| santhaa kee eih reeth niraalee || |
| This is the unique way of the Saints; |
|
| ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਕਰਿ ਦੇਖਹਿ ਨਾਲੀ ॥ |
| paarabreham kar dhaekhehi naalee || |
| they behold the Supreme Lord God with them. |
|
| ਸਾਸਿ ਸਾਸਿ ਆਰਾਧਨਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਕਿਉ ਸਿਮਰਤ ਕੀਜੈ ਆਲਕਾ ॥੮॥ |
| saas saas aaraadhhan har har kio simarath keejai aalakaa ||8|| |
| With each and every breath, they worship and adore the Lord, Har, Har. How could anyone be too lazy to meditate on Him? ||8|| |
|
| ਜਹ ਦੇਖਾ ਤਹ ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ॥ |
| jeh dhaekhaa theh antharajaamee || |
| Wherever I look, there I see the Inner-knower, the Searcher of hearts. |
|
| ਨਿਮਖ ਨ ਵਿਸਰਹੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮੇਰੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ॥ |
| nimakh n visarahu prabh maerae suaamee || |
| I never forget God, my Lord and Master, even for an instant. |
|
| ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਜੀਵਹਿ ਤੇਰੇ ਦਾਸਾ ਬਨਿ ਜਲਿ ਪੂਰਨ ਥਾਲਕਾ ॥੯॥ |
| simar simar jeevehi thaerae dhaasaa ban jal pooran thhaalakaa ||9|| |
| Your slaves live by meditating, meditating in remembrance on the Lord; You are permeating the woods, the water and the land. ||9|| |
|
| ਤਤੀ ਵਾਉ ਨ ਤਾ ਕਉ ਲਾਗੈ ॥ |
| thathee vaao n thaa ko laagai || |
| Even the hot wind does not touch one |
|
| ਸਿਮਰਤ ਨਾਮੁ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਜਾਗੈ ॥ |
| simarath naam anadhin jaagai || |
| who remains awake in meditative remembrance, night and day. |
|
| ਅਨਦ ਬਿਨੋਦ ਕਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਨੁ ਤਿਸੁ ਮਾਇਆ ਸੰਗਿ ਨ ਤਾਲਕਾ ॥੧੦॥ |
| anadh binodh karae har simaran this maaeiaa sang n thaalakaa ||10|| |
| He delights and enjoys meditative remembrance on the Lord; he has no attachment to Maya. ||10|| |
|
| ਰੋਗ ਸੋਗ ਦੂਖ ਤਿਸੁ ਨਾਹੀ ॥ |
| rog sog dhookh this naahee || |
| Disease, sorrow and pain do not affect him; |
|
| ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਹਰਿ ਕੀਰਤਨੁ ਗਾਹੀ ॥ |
| saadhhasang har keerathan gaahee || |
| he sings the Kirtan of the Lord's Praises in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy. |

| ਆਪਣਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਦੇਹਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਸੁਣਿ ਬੇਨੰਤੀ ਖਾਲਕਾ ॥੧੧॥ |
| aapanaa naam dhaehi prabh preetham sun baenanthee khaalakaa ||11|| |
| Please bless me with Your Name, O my Beloved Lord God; please listen to my prayer, O Creator. ||11|| |
|
| ਨਾਮ ਰਤਨੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਹੈ ਪਿਆਰੇ ॥ |
| naam rathan thaeraa hai piaarae || |
| Your Name is a jewel, O my Beloved Lord. |
|
| ਰੰਗਿ ਰਤੇ ਤੇਰੈ ਦਾਸ ਅਪਾਰੇ ॥ |
| rang rathae thaerai dhaas apaarae || |
| Your slaves are imbued with Your Infinite Love. |
|
| ਤੇਰੈ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਤੇ ਤੁਧੁ ਜੇਹੇ ਵਿਰਲੇ ਕੇਈ ਭਾਲਕਾ ॥੧੨॥ |
| thaerai rang rathae thudhh jaehae viralae kaeee bhaalakaa ||12|| |
| Those who are imbued with Your Love, become like You; it is so rare that they are found. ||12|| |
|
| ਤਿਨ ਕੀ ਧੂੜਿ ਮਾਂਗੈ ਮਨੁ ਮੇਰਾ ॥ |
| thin kee dhhoorr maangai man maeraa || |
| My mind longs for the dust of the feet of those |
|
| ਜਿਨ ਵਿਸਰਹਿ ਨਾਹੀ ਕਾਹੂ ਬੇਰਾ ॥ |
| jin visarehi naahee kaahoo baeraa || |
| who never forget the Lord. |
|
| ਤਿਨ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਪਰਮ ਪਦੁ ਪਾਈ ਸਦਾ ਸੰਗੀ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਲਕਾ ॥੧੩॥ |
| thin kai sang param padh paaee sadhaa sangee har naalakaa ||13|| |
| Associating with them, I obtain the supreme status; the Lord, my Companion, is always with me. ||13|| |

| ਸਾਜਨੁ ਮੀਤੁ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਸੋਈ ॥ |
| saajan meeth piaaraa soee || |
| He alone is my beloved friend and companion, |
|
| ਏਕੁ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਾਏ ਦੁਰਮਤਿ ਖੋਈ ॥ |
| eaek dhrirraaeae dhuramath khoee || |
| who implants the Name of the One Lord within, and eradicates evil-mindedness. |
|
| ਕਾਮੁ ਕ੍ਰੋਧੁ ਅਹੰਕਾਰੁ ਤਜਾਏ ਤਿਸੁ ਜਨ ਕਉ ਉਪਦੇਸੁ ਨਿਰਮਾਲਕਾ ॥੧੪॥ |
| kaam krodhh ahankaar thajaaeae this jan ko oupadhaes niramaalakaa ||14|| |
| Immaculate are the teachings of that humble servant of the Lord, who casts out sexual desire, anger and egotism. ||14|| |
|
| ਤੁਧੁ ਵਿਣੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਕੋਈ ਮੇਰਾ ॥ |
| thudhh vin naahee koee maeraa || |
| Other than You, O Lord, no one is mine. |
|
| ਗੁਰਿ ਪਕੜਾਏ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੇ ਪੈਰਾ ॥ |
| gur pakarraaeae prabh kae pairaa || |
| The Guru has led me to grasp the feet of God. |
|
| ਹਉ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪੂਰੇ ਜਿਨਿ ਖੰਡਿਆ ਭਰਮੁ ਅਨਾਲਕਾ ॥੧੫॥ |
| ho balihaaree sathigur poorae jin khanddiaa bharam anaalakaa ||15|| |
| I am a sacrifice to the Perfect True Guru, who has destroyed the illusion of duality. ||15|| |

| ਸਾਸਿ ਸਾਸਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਬਿਸਰੈ ਨਾਹੀ ॥ |
| saas saas prabh bisarai naahee || |
| With each and every breath, I never forget God. |
|
| ਆਠ ਪਹਰ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਕਉ ਧਿਆਈ ॥ |
| aath pehar har har ko dhhiaaee || |
| Twenty-four hours a day, I meditate on the Lord, Har, Har. |

| ਨਾਨਕ ਸੰਤ ਤੇਰੈ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਾਤੇ ਤੂ ਸਮਰਥੁ ਵਡਾਲਕਾ ॥੧੬॥੪॥੧੩॥ |

| I enshrine the Lord's lotus feet continually within my heart. |

| ਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰਾ ਖਿਨੁ ਖਿਨੁ ਨਮਸਕਾਰੀ ॥ |
| gur pooraa khin khin namasakaaree || |
| Each and every moment, I humbly bow to the Perfect Guru. |

| ਤਨੁ ਮਨੁ ਅਰਪਿ ਧਰੀ ਸਭੁ ਆਗੈ ਜਗ ਮਹਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਸੁਹਾਵਣਾ ॥੧॥ |
| than man arap dhharee sabh aagai jag mehi naam suhaavanaa ||1|| |
| I dedicate my body, mind and everything, and place it in offering before the Lord. His Name is the most beautiful in this world. ||1|| |

| ਸੋ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਕਿਉ ਮਨਹੁ ਵਿਸਾਰੇ ॥ |
| so thaakur kio manahu visaarae || |
| Why forget the Lord and Master from your mind? |
|
| ਜੀਉ ਪਿੰਡੁ ਦੇ ਸਾਜਿ ਸਵਾਰੇ ॥ |
| jeeo pindd dhae saaj savaarae || |
| He blessed you with body and soul, creating and embellishing you. |
|
| ਸਾਸਿ ਗਰਾਸਿ ਸਮਾਲੇ ਕਰਤਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਪਣਾ ਪਾਵਣਾ ॥੨॥ |
| saas garaas samaalae karathaa keethaa apanaa paavanaa ||2|| |
| With every breath and morsel of food, the Creator takes care of His beings, who receive according to what they have done. ||2|| |
|
| ਜਾ ਤੇ ਬਿਰਥਾ ਕੋਊ ਨਾਹੀ ॥ |
| jaa thae birathhaa kooo naahee || |
| No one returns empty-handed from Him; |
|
| ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਭਜੁ ਅਚੁਤ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦਰਗਹ ਸੋਭਾ ਪਾਵਣਾ ॥੩॥ |
| saadhhasang bhaj achuth suaamee dharageh sobhaa paavanaa ||3|| |
| In the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, meditate and vibrate upon your imperishable Lord and Master, and you shall be honored in the Court of the Lord. ||3|| |

| ਚਾਰਿ ਪਦਾਰਥ ਅਸਟ ਦਸਾ ਸਿਧਿ ॥ |
| chaar padhaarathh asatt dhasaa sidhh || |
| The four great blessings, and the eighteen miraculous spiritual powers, |
|
| ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਸਹਜ ਸੁਖੁ ਨਉ ਨਿਧਿ ॥ |
| naam nidhhaan sehaj sukh no nidhh || |
| are found in the treasure of the Naam, which brings celestial peace and poise, and the nine treasures. |

| ਸਰਬ ਕਲਿਆਣ ਜੇ ਮਨ ਮਹਿ ਚਾਹਹਿ ਮਿਲਿ ਸਾਧੂ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਰਾਵਣਾ ॥੪॥ |
| sarab kaliaan jae man mehi chaahehi mil saadhhoo suaamee raavanaa ||4|| |
| If you yearn in your mind for all joys, then join the Saadh Sangat, and dwell upon your Lord and Master. ||4|| |
