| ਜਿਸੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਰਿਦੈ ਤਿਨਿ ਕੋਟਿ ਧਨ ਪਾਏ ॥ |
| jis naam ridhai thin kott dhhan paaeae || |
| One who keeps the Naam in his heart, obtains millions of treasures. |

| ਨਾਮ ਬਿਨਾ ਜਨਮੁ ਬਿਰਥਾ ਜਾਏ ॥੧॥ |
| naam binaa janam birathhaa jaaeae ||1|| |
| Without the Naam, life is useless. ||1|| |
|
| ਤਿਸੁ ਸਾਲਾਹੀ ਜਿਸੁ ਹਰਿ ਧਨੁ ਰਾਸਿ ॥ |
| this saalaahee jis har dhhan raas || |
| I praise that person, who has the capital of the Lord's Wealth. |

| ਸੋ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਜਿਸੁ ਗੁਰ ਮਸਤਕਿ ਹਾਥੁ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ |
| so vaddabhaagee jis gur masathak haathh ||1|| rehaao || |
| He is very fortunate, on whose forehead the Guru has placed His Hand. ||1||Pause|| |

| ਜਿਸੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਰਿਦੈ ਤਿਸੁ ਕੋਟ ਕਈ ਸੈਨਾ ॥ |

| One who keeps the Naam in his heart, has many millions of armies on his side. |

| ਜਿਸੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਰਿਦੈ ਸੋ ਸੀਤਲੁ ਹੂਆ ॥ |
| jis naam ridhai so seethal hooaa || |
| One who keeps the Naam in his heart becomes cool and calm. |

| ਨਾਮ ਬਿਨਾ ਧ੍ਰਿਗੁ ਜੀਵਣੁ ਮੂਆ ॥੨॥ |
| naam binaa dhhrig jeevan mooaa ||2|| |
| Without the Naam, both life and death are cursed. ||2|| |
|
| ਜਿਸੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਰਿਦੈ ਸੋ ਜੀਵਨ ਮੁਕਤਾ ॥ |

| One who keeps the Naam in his heart is Jivan-mukta, liberated while yet alive. |

| Without the Naam, the mortal wanders, coming and going in reincarnation. ||3|| |

| ਜਿਸੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਰਿਦੈ ਸੋ ਵੇਪਰਵਾਹਾ ॥ |

| One who keeps the Naam in his heart is carefree and independent. |
|
| ਜਿਸੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਰਿਦੈ ਤਿਸੁ ਸਦ ਹੀ ਲਾਹਾ ॥ |

| One who keeps the Naam in his heart always earns a profit. |

| One who keeps the Naam in his heart has a large family. |

| Without the Naam, the mortal is just an ignorant, self-willed manmukh. ||4|| |

| One who keeps the Naam in his heart has a permanent position. |

| Without the Naam, the mortal continues coming and going in reincarnation. ||7|| |

| ਤਿਨਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਿਸੁ ਭਇਓ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲ ॥ |

| He alone receives the Naam, who is blessed by the Lord's Mercy. |

| ਸਾਧਸੰਗਤਿ ਮਹਿ ਲਖੇ ਗਪਾਲ ॥ |
| saadhhasangath mehi lakhae guopaal || |
| In the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, the Lord of the World is understood. |

| ਆਵਣ ਜਾਣ ਰਹੇ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥ |
| aavan jaan rehae sukh paaeiaa || |
| Coming and going in reincarnation ends, and peace is found. |
|
| ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਤਤੈ ਤਤੁ ਮਿਲਾਇਆ ॥੮॥੧॥੪॥ |

| He created millions of universes as places to practice righteousness. |
|
| ਕੋਟਿ ਮਹੇਸ ਉਪਾਇ ਸਮਾਏ ॥ |
| kott mehaes oupaae samaaeae || |
| He created and destroyed millions of Shivas. |
|
| ਕੋਟਿ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੇ ਜਗੁ ਸਾਜਣ ਲਾਏ ॥੧॥ |
| kott brehamae jag saajan laaeae ||1|| |
| He employed millions of Brahmas to create the worlds. ||1|| |
|
| ਐਸੋ ਧਣੀ ਗੁਵਿੰਦੁ ਹਮਾਰਾ ॥ |
| aiso dhhanee guvindh hamaaraa || |
| Such is my Lord and Master, the Lord of the Universe. |

| ਬਰਨਿ ਨ ਸਾਕਉ ਗੁਣ ਬਿਸਥਾਰਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ |

| Millions of Mayas are His maid-servants. |

| ਕੋਟਿ ਜੀਅ ਜਾ ਕੀ ਸਿਹਜਾਇ ॥ |
| kott jeea jaa kee sihajaae || |
| Millions of souls are His beds. |
|
| ਕੋਟਿ ਉਪਾਰਜਨਾ ਤੇਰੈ ਅੰਗਿ ॥ |
| kott oupaarajanaa thaerai ang || |
| Millions of universes are the limbs of His Being. |
|
| ਕੋਟਿ ਭਗਤ ਬਸਤ ਹਰਿ ਸੰਗਿ ॥੨॥ |

| Millions of devotees abide with the Lord. ||2|| |
|
| ਕੋਟਿ ਛਤ੍ਰਪਤਿ ਕਰਤ ਨਮਸਕਾਰ ॥ |

| Millions of kings with their crowns and canopies bow before Him. |
|
| ਕੋਟਿ ਇੰਦ੍ਰ ਠਾਢੇ ਹੈ ਦੁਆਰ ॥ |
| kott eindhr thaadtae hai dhuaar || |
| Millions of Indras stand at His Door. |
|
| ਕੋਟਿ ਬੈਕੁੰਠ ਜਾ ਕੀ ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟੀ ਮਾਹਿ ॥ |
| kott baikunth jaa kee dhrisattee maahi || |
| Millions of heavenly paradises are within the scope of His Vision. |

| ਕੋਟਿ ਨਾਮ ਜਾ ਕੀ ਕੀਮਤਿ ਨਾਹਿ ॥੩॥ |
| kott naam jaa kee keemath naahi ||3|| |
| Millions of His Names cannot even be appraised. ||3|| |

| Millions of celestial sounds resound for Him. |
