| My anxiety is gone, and I am in love with the Naam, the Name of the Lord. |

| ਜਨਮ ਜਨਮ ਕਾ ਸੋਇਆ ਜਾਗਾ ॥੧॥ |
| janam janam kaa soeiaa jaagaa ||1|| |
| I was asleep for countless lifetimes, but I have now awakened. ||1|| |

| ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਅਪਨੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਲਾਏ ॥ |
| kar kirapaa apanee saevaa laaeae || |
| Granting His Grace, He has linked me to His service. |
|
| ਸਾਧੂ ਸੰਗਿ ਸਰਬ ਸੁਖ ਪਾਏ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ |

| In the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, all pleasures are found. ||1||Pause|| |

| ਰੋਗ ਦੋਖ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦਿ ਨਿਵਾਰੇ ॥ |
| rog dhokh gur sabadh nivaarae || |
| The Word of the Guru's Shabad has eradicated disease and evil. |
|
| ਨਾਮ ਅਉਖਧੁ ਮਨ ਭੀਤਰਿ ਸਾਰੇ ॥ |
| naam aoukhadhh man bheethar saarae || |
| My mind has absorbed the medicine of the Naam. |
|
| ਗੁਰ ਭੇਟਤ ਮਨਿ ਭਇਆ ਅਨੰਦ ॥ |
| gur bhaettath man bhaeiaa anandh || |
| Meeting with the Guru, my mind is in bliss. |
|
| ਸਰਬ ਨਿਧਾਨ ਨਾਮ ਭਗਵੰਤ ॥੨॥ |
| sarab nidhhaan naam bhagavanth ||2|| |
| All treasures are in the Name of the Lord God. ||2|| |
|
| ਜਨਮ ਮਰਣ ਕੀ ਮਿਟੀ ਜਮ ਤ੍ਰਾਸ ॥ |
| janam maran kee mittee jam thraas || |
| My fear of birth and death and the Messenger of Death has been dispelled. |
|
| ਸਾਧਸੰਗਤਿ ਊਂਧ ਕਮਲ ਬਿਗਾਸ ॥ |
| saadhhasangath oonadhh kamal bigaas || |
| In the Saadh Sangat, the inverted lotus of my heart has blossomed forth. |
|
| ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਤ ਨਿਹਚਲੁ ਬਿਸ੍ਰਾਮ ॥ |
| gun gaavath nihachal bisraam || |
| Singing the Glorious Praises of the Lord, I have found eternal, abiding peace. |
|
| ਪੂਰਨ ਹੋਏ ਸਗਲੇ ਕਾਮ ॥੩॥ |
| pooran hoeae sagalae kaam ||3|| |
| All my tasks are perfectly accomplished. ||3|| |
|
| ਦੁਲਭ ਦੇਹ ਆਈ ਪਰਵਾਨੁ ॥ |
| dhulabh dhaeh aaee paravaan || |
| This human body, so difficult to obtain, is approved by the Lord. |
|
| ਸਫਲ ਹੋਈ ਜਪਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ॥ |
| safal hoee jap har har naam || |
| Chanting the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, it has become fruitful. |
|
| ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰੀ ॥ |

| Says Nanak, God has blessed me with His Mercy. |

| ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਤਾ ਕੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਉ ॥ |
| sadhaa sadhaa thaa kae gun gaao || |
| Sing His Glorious Praises, forever and ever. |
|
| ਜਿਸੁ ਸਿਮਰਤ ਸਗਲਾ ਦੁਖੁ ਜਾਇ ॥ |
| jis simarath sagalaa dhukh jaae || |
| Meditating in remembrance on Him, all pain is dispelled. |
|
| ਸਰਬ ਸੂਖ ਵਸਹਿ ਮਨਿ ਆਇ ॥੧॥ |
| sarab sookh vasehi man aae ||1|| |
| All pleasures come to dwell in the mind. ||1|| |

| ਸਿਮਰਿ ਮਨਾ ਤੂ ਸਾਚਾ ਸੋਇ ॥ |

| O my mind, meditate in remembrance on the True Lord. |

| ਹਲਤਿ ਪਲਤਿ ਤੁਮਰੀ ਗਤਿ ਹੋਇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ |

| In this world and the next, you shall be saved. ||1||Pause|| |

| ਪੁਰਖ ਨਿਰੰਜਨ ਸਿਰਜਨਹਾਰ ॥ |
| purakh niranjan sirajanehaar || |
| The Immaculate Lord God is the Creator of all. |
|
| ਜੀਅ ਜੰਤ ਦੇਵੈ ਆਹਾਰ ॥ |
| jeea janth dhaevai aahaar || |
| He gives sustenance to all beings and creatures. |
|
| ਕੋਟਿ ਖਤੇ ਖਿਨ ਬਖਸਨਹਾਰ ॥ |
| kott khathae khin bakhasanehaar || |
| He forgives millions of sins and mistakes in an instant. |
|
| ਭਗਤਿ ਭਾਇ ਸਦਾ ਨਿਸਤਾਰ ॥੨॥ |
| bhagath bhaae sadhaa nisathaar ||2|| |
| Through loving devotional worship, one is emancipated forever. ||2|| |
|
| ਸਾਚਾ ਧਨੁ ਸਾਚੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ॥ |
| saachaa dhhan saachee vaddiaaee || |
| True wealth and true glorious greatness, |
|
| ਗੁਰ ਪੂਰੇ ਤੇ ਨਿਹਚਲ ਮਤਿ ਪਾਈ ॥ |
| gur poorae thae nihachal math paaee || |
| and eternal, unchanging wisdom, are obtained from the Perfect Guru. |
|
| ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਜਿਸੁ ਰਾਖਨਹਾਰਾ ॥ |
| kar kirapaa jis raakhanehaaraa || |
| When the Protector, the Savior Lord, bestows His Mercy, |
|
| ਤਾ ਕਾ ਸਗਲ ਮਿਟੈ ਅੰਧਿਆਰਾ ॥੩॥ |
| thaa kaa sagal mittai andhhiaaraa ||3|| |
| all spiritual darkness is dispelled. ||3|| |
|
| ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਸਿਉ ਲਾਗੋ ਧਿਆਨ ॥ |
| paarabreham sio laago dhhiaan || |
| I focus my meditation on the Supreme Lord God. |
|
| ਪੂਰਨ ਪੂਰਿ ਰਹਿਓ ਨਿਰਬਾਨ ॥ |
| pooran poor rehiou nirabaan || |
| The Lord of Nirvaanaa is totally pervading and permeating all. |
|
| ਭ੍ਰਮ ਭਉ ਮੇਟਿ ਮਿਲੇ ਗੋਪਾਲ ॥ |

| Eradicating doubt and fear, I have met the Lord of the World. |
|
| ਨਾਨਕ ਕਉ ਗੁਰ ਭਏ ਦਇਆਲ ॥੪॥੩੦॥੪੩॥ |

| Meditating in remembrance on Him, the mind is illumined. |

| ਮਿਟਹਿ ਕਲੇਸ ਸੁਖ ਸਹਜਿ ਨਿਵਾਸੁ ॥ |
| mittehi kalaes sukh sehaj nivaas || |
| Suffering is eradicated, and one comes to dwell in peace and poise. |
|
| ਤਿਸਹਿ ਪਰਾਪਤਿ ਜਿਸੁ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਦੇਇ ॥ |
| thisehi paraapath jis prabh dhaee || |
| They alone receive it, unto whom God gives it. |
|
| ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਪਾਏ ਸੇਵ ॥੧॥ |
| poorae gur kee paaeae saev ||1|| |
| They are blessed to serve the Perfect Guru. ||1|| |
|
| ਸਰਬ ਸੁਖਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਤੇਰੋ ਨਾਉ ॥ |
| sarab sukhaa prabh thaero naao || |
| All peace and comfort are in Your Name, God. |
|
| ਆਠ ਪਹਰ ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਗਾਉ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ |
| aath pehar maerae man gaao ||1|| rehaao || |
| Twenty-four hours a day, O my mind, sing His Glorious Praises. ||1||Pause|| |
|
| ਜੋ ਇਛੈ ਸੋਈ ਫਲੁ ਪਾਏ ॥ |
| jo eishhai soee fal paaeae || |
| You shall receive the fruits of your desires, |
|
| ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਮੰਨਿ ਵਸਾਏ ॥ |
| har kaa naam mann vasaaeae || |
| when the Name of the Lord comes to dwell in the mind. |
|
| ਆਵਣ ਜਾਣ ਰਹੇ ਹਰਿ ਧਿਆਇ ॥ |
| aavan jaan rehae har dhhiaae || |
| Meditating on the Lord, your comings and goings cease. |
|
| ਭਗਤਿ ਭਾਇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਇ ॥੨॥ |
| bhagath bhaae prabh kee liv laae ||2|| |
| Through loving devotional worship, lovingly focus your attention on God. ||2|| |
|
| ਬਿਨਸੇ ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਅਹੰਕਾਰ ॥ |
| binasae kaam krodhh ahankaar || |
| Sexual desire, anger and egotism are dispelled. |
|
| ਤੂਟੇ ਮਾਇਆ ਮੋਹ ਪਿਆਰ ॥ |
| thoottae maaeiaa moh piaar || |
| Love and attachment to Maya are broken. |
|
| ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀ ਟੇਕ ਰਹੈ ਦਿਨੁ ਰਾਤਿ ॥ |
| prabh kee ttaek rehai dhin raath || |
| Lean on God's Support, day and night. |
|
| ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਕਰੇ ਜਿਸੁ ਦਾਤਿ ॥੩॥ |
| paarabreham karae jis dhaath ||3|| |
| The Supreme Lord God has given this gift. ||3|| |
|
| ਕਰਨ ਕਰਾਵਨਹਾਰ ਸੁਆਮੀ ॥ |
| karan karaavanehaar suaamee || |
| Our Lord and Master is the Creator, the Cause of causes. |
|
| ਸਗਲ ਘਟਾ ਕੇ ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ॥ |
| sagal ghattaa kae antharajaamee || |
| He is the Inner-knower, the Searcher of all hearts. |
|
| ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਅਪਨੀ ਸੇਵਾ ਲਾਇ ॥ |
| kar kirapaa apanee saevaa laae || |
| Bless me with Your Grace, Lord, and link me to Your service. |
|

| ਨਾਮ ਬਿਹੂਨ ਸੁਖੀ ਕਿਉ ਸੋਵੈ ॥ |
| naam bihoon sukhee kio sovai || |
| Without the Name, how can he ever sleep in peace? |
|
| ਹਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਨੁ ਛਾਡਿ ਪਰਮ ਗਤਿ ਚਾਹੈ ॥ |
| har simaran shhaadd param gath chaahai || |
| The mortal abandons meditative remembrance of the Lord, and then wishes for the state of supreme salvation; |
