| ਨਉ ਨਿਧਿ ਤੇਰੈ ਸਗਲ ਨਿਧਾਨ ॥ |
| no nidhh thaerai sagal nidhhaan || |
| The nine treasures are Yours - all treasures are Yours. |
|
| ਇਛਾ ਪੂਰਕੁ ਰਖੈ ਨਿਦਾਨ ॥੧॥ |
| eishhaa poorak rakhai nidhaan ||1|| |
| The Fulfiller of desires saves mortals in the end. ||1|| |
|
| ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੋ ਪਿਆਰੋ ਤਾ ਕੈਸੀ ਭੂਖਾ ॥ |
| thoon maero piaaro thaa kaisee bhookhaa || |
| You are my Beloved, so what hunger can I have? |

| ਤੂੰ ਮਨਿ ਵਸਿਆ ਲਗੈ ਨ ਦੂਖਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ |
| thoon man vasiaa lagai n dhookhaa ||1|| rehaao || |
| When You dwell within my mind, pain does not touch me. ||1||Pause|| |
|
| ਜੋ ਤੂੰ ਕਰਹਿ ਸੋਈ ਪਰਵਾਣੁ ॥ |
| jo thoon karehi soee paravaan || |
| Whatever You do, is acceptable to me. |
|
| ਸਾਚੇ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਤੇਰਾ ਸਚੁ ਫੁਰਮਾਣੁ ॥੨॥ |
| saachae saahib thaeraa sach furamaan ||2|| |
| O True Lord and Master, True is Your Order. ||2|| |
|
| ਜਾ ਤੁਧੁ ਭਾਵੈ ਤਾ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਉ ॥ |
| jaa thudhh bhaavai thaa har gun gaao || |
| When it is pleasing to Your Will, I sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord. |

| ਤੇਰੈ ਘਰਿ ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਹੈ ਨਿਆਉ ॥੩॥ |
| thaerai ghar sadhaa sadhaa hai niaao ||3|| |
| Within Your Home, there is justice, forever and ever. ||3|| |

| ਸਾਚੇ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਅਲਖ ਅਭੇਵ ॥ |

| O True Lord and Master, You are unknowable and mysterious. |

| ਨਿਕਟਿ ਜੀਅ ਕੈ ਸਦ ਹੀ ਸੰਗਾ ॥ |

| He is near at hand; He is the eternal Companion of the soul. |

| ਕੁਦਰਤਿ ਵਰਤੈ ਰੂਪ ਅਰੁ ਰੰਗਾ ॥੧॥ |
| kudharath varathai roop ar rangaa ||1|| |
| His Creative Power is all-pervading, in form and color. ||1|| |
|
| ਕਰ੍ਹੈ ਨ ਝੁਰੈ ਨਾ ਮਨੁ ਰੋਵਨਹਾਰਾ ॥ |
| karhai n jhurai naa man rovanehaaraa || |
| My mind does not worry; it does not grieve, or cry out. |

| ਅਵਿਨਾਸੀ ਅਵਿਗਤੁ ਅਗੋਚਰੁ ਸਦਾ ਸਲਾਮਤਿ ਖਸਮੁ ਹਮਾਰਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ |
| avinaasee avigath agochar sadhaa salaamath khasam hamaaraa ||1|| rehaao || |
| Imperishable, Unshakable, Unapproachable and forever safe and sound is my Husband Lord. ||1||Pause|| |

| ਤੇਰੇ ਦਾਸਰੇ ਕਉ ਕਿਸ ਕੀ ਕਾਣਿ ॥ |
| thaerae dhaasarae ko kis kee kaan || |
| Unto whom does Your servant pay homage? |
|
| ਜਿਸ ਕੀ ਮੀਰਾ ਰਾਖੈ ਆਣਿ ॥੨॥ |
| jis kee meeraa raakhai aan ||2|| |
| His King preserves his honor. ||2|| |
|
| ਜੋ ਲਉਡਾ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਕੀਆ ਅਜਾਤਿ ॥ |
| jo louddaa prabh keeaa ajaath || |
| That slave, whom God has released from the restrictions of social status |
|
| ਤਿਸੁ ਲਉਡੇ ਕਉ ਕਿਸ ਕੀ ਤਾਤਿ ॥੩॥ |
| this louddae ko kis kee thaath ||3|| |
| - who can now hold him in bondage? ||3|| |
|
| ਵੇਮੁਹਤਾਜਾ ਵੇਪਰਵਾਹੁ ॥ |
| vaemuhathaajaa vaeparavaahu || |
| The Lord is absolutely independent, and totally care-free; |
|
| ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਸ ਕਹਹੁ ਗੁਰ ਵਾਹੁ ॥੪॥੨੧॥ |
| naanak dhaas kehahu gur vaahu ||4||21|| |
| O servant Nanak, chant His Glorious Praises. ||4||21|| |

| ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਛੋਡਿ ਹੋਛੈ ਰਸਿ ਮਾਤਾ ॥ |
| har ras shhodd hoshhai ras maathaa || |
| Forsaking the Lord's sublime essence, the mortal is intoxicated with false essences. |
|
| ਘਰ ਮਹਿ ਵਸਤੁ ਬਾਹਰਿ ਉਠਿ ਜਾਤਾ ॥੧॥ |
| ghar mehi vasath baahar outh jaathaa ||1|| |
| The substance is within the home of the self, but the mortal goes out to find it. ||1|| |
|
| ਸੁਨੀ ਨ ਜਾਈ ਸਚੁ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਕਾਥਾ ॥ |
| sunee n jaaee sach anmrith kaathhaa || |
| He cannot hear the true ambrosial discourse. |
|
| ਰਾਰਿ ਕਰਤ ਝੂਠੀ ਲਗਿ ਗਾਥਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ |
| raar karath jhoothee lag gaathhaa ||1|| rehaao || |
| Attached to false scriptures, he is engaged in argument. ||1||Pause|| |
|
| ਵਜਹੁ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਕਾ ਸੇਵ ਬਿਰਾਨੀ ॥ |
| vajahu saahib kaa saev biraanee || |
| He takes his wages from his Lord and Master, but he serves another. |
|
| ਐਸੇ ਗੁਨਹ ਅਛਾਦਿਓ ਪ੍ਰਾਨੀ ॥੨॥ |
| aisae guneh ashhaadhiou praanee ||2|| |
| With such sins, the mortal is engrossed. ||2|| |
|
| ਤਿਸੁ ਸਿਉ ਲੂਕ ਜੋ ਸਦ ਹੀ ਸੰਗੀ ॥ |
| this sio look jo sadh hee sangee || |
| He tries to hide from the One who is always with him. |
|
| ਕਾਮਿ ਨ ਆਵੈ ਸੋ ਫਿਰਿ ਫਿਰਿ ਮੰਗੀ ॥੩॥ |
| kaam n aavai so fir fir mangee ||3|| |
| He begs from Him, again and again. ||3|| |
|
| ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਦੀਨ ਦਇਆਲਾ ॥ |
| kahu naanak prabh dheen dhaeiaalaa || |
| Says Nanak, God is merciful to the meek. |
|
| ਜਿਉ ਭਾਵੈ ਤਿਉ ਕਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲਾ ॥੪॥੨੨॥ |
| jio bhaavai thio kar prathipaalaa ||4||22|| |
| As it pleases Him, He cherishes us. ||4||22|| |

| ਜੀਅ ਪ੍ਰਾਨ ਧਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਕੋ ਨਾਮੁ ॥ |
| jeea praan dhhan har ko naam || |
| The Naam, the Name of the Lord, is my soul, my life, my wealth. |
|
| ਈਹਾ ਊਹਾਂ ਉਨ ਸੰਗਿ ਕਾਮੁ ॥੧॥ |
| eehaa oohaan oun sang kaam ||1|| |
| Here and hereafter, it is with me, to help me. ||1|| |
|
| ਬਿਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮ ਅਵਰੁ ਸਭੁ ਥੋਰਾ ॥ |
| bin har naam avar sabh thhoraa || |
| Without the Lord's Name, everything else is useless. |
|
| ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਅਘਾਵੈ ਹਰਿ ਦਰਸਨਿ ਮਨੁ ਮੋਰਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ |
| thripath aghaavai har dharasan man moraa ||1|| rehaao || |
| My mind is satisfied and satiated by the Blessed Vision of the Lord's Darshan. ||1||Pause|| |

| ਭਗਤਿ ਭੰਡਾਰ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਲਾਲ ॥ |
| bhagath bhanddaar gurabaanee laal || |
| Gurbani is the jewel, the treasure of devotion. |
|
| ਗਾਵਤ ਸੁਨਤ ਕਮਾਵਤ ਨਿਹਾਲ ॥੨॥ |
| gaavath sunath kamaavath nihaal ||2|| |
| Singing, hearing and acting upon it, one is enraptured. ||2|| |
|
| ਚਰਣ ਕਮਲ ਸਿਉ ਲਾਗੋ ਮਾਨੁ ॥ |
| charan kamal sio laago maan || |
| My mind is attached to the Lord's Lotus Feet. |
|
| ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਤੂਠੈ ਕੀਨੋ ਦਾਨੁ ॥੩॥ |
| sathigur thoothai keeno dhaan ||3|| |
| The True Guru, in His Pleasure, has given this gift. ||3|| |
|
| ਨਾਨਕ ਕਉ ਗੁਰਿ ਦੀਖਿਆ ਦੀਨ੍ਹ੍ਹ ॥ |

| Unto Nanak, the Guru has revealed these instructions: |

| ਪ੍ਰਭ ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ਘਟਿ ਘਟਿ ਚੀਨ੍ਹ੍ਹ ॥੪॥੨੩॥ |
| prabh abinaasee ghatt ghatt cheenh ||4||23|| |
| recognize the Imperishable Lord God in each and every heart. ||4||23|| |

| The All-pervading Lord has established joys and celebrations. |

| ਅਪੁਨਾ ਕਾਰਜੁ ਆਪਿ ਸਵਾਰਿਆ ॥੧॥ |
| apunaa kaaraj aap savaariaa ||1|| |
| He Himself embellishes His own works. ||1|| |
|
| ਪੂਰ ਸਮਗ੍ਰੀ ਪੂਰੇ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਕੀ ॥ |
| poor samagree poorae thaakur kee || |
| Perfect is the Creation of the Perfect Lord Master. |
|
| ਭਰਿਪੁਰਿ ਧਾਰਿ ਰਹੀ ਸੋਭ ਜਾ ਕੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ |
| bharipur dhhaar rehee sobh jaa kee ||1|| rehaao || |
| His magnificent greatness is totally all-pervading. ||1||Pause|| |

| ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਜਾ ਕੀ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਸੋਇ ॥ |
| naam nidhhaan jaa kee niramal soe || |
| His Name is the treasure; His reputation is immaculate. |

| ਆਪੇ ਕਰਤਾ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਕੋਇ ॥੨॥ |
| aapae karathaa avar n koe ||2|| |
| He Himself is the Creator; there is no other. ||2|| |
|
| ਜੀਅ ਜੰਤ ਸਭਿ ਤਾ ਕੈ ਹਾਥਿ ॥ |
| jeea janth sabh thaa kai haathh || |
| All beings and creatures are in His Hands. |
|
| ਰਵਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸਭ ਕੈ ਸਾਥਿ ॥੩॥ |
| rav rehiaa prabh sabh kai saathh ||3|| |
| God is pervading in all, and is always with them. ||3|| |
