| ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਹਰਿ ਸਿਉ ਲਾਗੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ॥ |
| maerae man har sio laagee preeth || |
| My mind is in love with the Lord. |
|
| ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਜਪਤ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਸਾਚੀ ਰੀਤਿ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ |
| saadhhasang har har japath niramal saachee reeth ||1|| rehaao || |
| In the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, I meditate on the Lord, Har, Har; my lifestyle is pure and true. ||1||Pause|| |
|
| ਦਰਸਨ ਕੀ ਪਿਆਸ ਘਣੀ ਚਿਤਵਤ ਅਨਿਕ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਰ ॥ |
| dharasan kee piaas ghanee chithavath anik prakaar || |
| I have such a great thirst for the Blessed Vision of His Darshan; I think of him in so many ways. |

| ਕਰਹੁ ਅਨੁਗ੍ਰਹੁ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਹਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਧਾਰਿ ਮੁਰਾਰਿ ॥੧॥ |
| karahu anugrahu paarabreham har kirapaa dhhaar muraar ||1|| |
| So be Merciful, O Supreme Lord; shower Your Mercy upon me, O Lord, Destroyer of pride. ||1|| |
|
| ਮਨੁ ਪਰਦੇਸੀ ਆਇਆ ਮਿਲਿਓ ਸਾਧ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ॥ |
| man paradhaesee aaeiaa miliou saadhh kai sang || |
| My stranger soul has come to join the Saadh Sangat. |
|
| ਜਿਸੁ ਵਖਰ ਕਉ ਚਾਹਤਾ ਸੋ ਪਾਇਓ ਨਾਮਹਿ ਰੰਗਿ ॥੨॥ |
| jis vakhar ko chaahathaa so paaeiou naamehi rang ||2|| |
| That commodity, which I longed for, I have found in the Love of the Naam, the Name of the Lord. ||2|| |
|
| ਜੇਤੇ ਮਾਇਆ ਰੰਗ ਰਸ ਬਿਨਸਿ ਜਾਹਿ ਖਿਨ ਮਾਹਿ ॥ |
| jaethae maaeiaa rang ras binas jaahi khin maahi || |
| There are so many pleasures and delights of Maya, but they pass away in an instant. |
|
| ਭਗਤ ਰਤੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਮ ਸਿਉ ਸੁਖੁ ਭੁੰਚਹਿ ਸਭ ਠਾਇ ॥੩॥ |
| bhagath rathae thaerae naam sio sukh bhunchehi sabh thaae ||3|| |
| Your devotees are imbued with Your Name; they enjoy peace everywhere. ||3|| |
|
| ਸਭੁ ਜਗੁ ਚਲਤਉ ਪੇਖੀਐ ਨਿਹਚਲੁ ਹਰਿ ਕੋ ਨਾਉ ॥ |
| sabh jag chalatho paekheeai nihachal har ko naao || |
| The entire world is seen to be passing away; only the Lord's Name is lasting and stable. |
|
| ਕਰਿ ਮਿਤ੍ਰਾਈ ਸਾਧ ਸਿਉ ਨਿਹਚਲੁ ਪਾਵਹਿ ਠਾਉ ॥੪॥ |
| kar mithraaee saadhh sio nihachal paavehi thaao ||4|| |
| So make friends with the Holy Saints, so that you may obtain a lasting place of rest. ||4|| |
|
| ਮੀਤ ਸਾਜਨ ਸੁਤ ਬੰਧਪਾ ਕੋਊ ਹੋਤ ਨ ਸਾਥ ॥ |
| meeth saajan suth bandhhapaa kooo hoth n saathh || |
| Friends, acquaintances, children and relatives - none of these shall be your companion. |

| ਏਕੁ ਨਿਵਾਹੂ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਦੀਨਾ ਕਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਨਾਥ ॥੫॥ |
| eaek nivaahoo raam naam dheenaa kaa prabh naathh ||5|| |
| The Lord's Name alone shall go with you; God is the Master of the meek. ||5|| |
|
| ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਬੋਹਿਥ ਭਏ ਲਗਿ ਸਾਗਰੁ ਤਰਿਓ ਤੇਹ ॥ |
| charan kamal bohithh bheae lag saagar thariou thaeh || |
| The Lord's Lotus Feet are the Boat; attached to Them, you shall cross over the world-ocean. |
|
| ਭੇਟਿਓ ਪੂਰਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਸਾਚਾ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਿਉ ਨੇਹ ॥੬॥ |
| bhaettiou pooraa sathiguroo saachaa prabh sio naeh ||6|| |
| Meeting with the Perfect True Guru, I embrace True Love for God. ||6|| |
|
| ਸਾਧ ਤੇਰੇ ਕੀ ਜਾਚਨਾ ਵਿਸਰੁ ਨ ਸਾਸਿ ਗਿਰਾਸਿ ॥ |
| saadhh thaerae kee jaachanaa visar n saas giraas || |
| The prayer of Your Holy Saints is, ""May I never forget You, for even one breath or morsel of food."" |
|
| ਜੋ ਤੁਧੁ ਭਾਵੈ ਸੋ ਭਲਾ ਤੇਰੈ ਭਾਣੈ ਕਾਰਜ ਰਾਸਿ ॥੭॥ |
| jo thudhh bhaavai so bhalaa thaerai bhaanai kaaraj raas ||7|| |
| Whatever is pleasing to Your Will is good; by Your Sweet Will, my affairs are adjusted. ||7|| |
|
| ਸੁਖ ਸਾਗਰ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਮਿਲੇ ਉਪਜੇ ਮਹਾ ਅਨੰਦ ॥ |
| sukh saagar preetham milae oupajae mehaa anandh || |
| I have met my Beloved, the Ocean of Peace, and Supreme Bliss has welled up within me. |

| ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਭ ਦੁਖ ਮਿਟੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭੇਟੇ ਪਰਮਾਨੰਦ ॥੮॥੧॥੨॥ |
| kahu naanak sabh dhukh mittae prabh bhaettae paramaanandh ||8||1||2|| |
| Says Nanak, all my pains have been eradicated, meeting with God, the Lord of Supreme Bliss. ||8||1||2|| |

| paarabreham prabh simareeai piaarae dharasan ko bal jaao ||1|| |
| Remember the Supreme Lord God, O Beloved, and make yourself a sacrifice to the Blessed Vision of His Darshan. ||1|| |

| ਜਿਸੁ ਸਿਮਰਤ ਦੁਖ ਬੀਸਰਹਿ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਸੋ ਕਿਉ ਤਜਣਾ ਜਾਇ ॥੨॥ |
| jis simarath dhukh beesarehi piaarae so kio thajanaa jaae ||2|| |
| Remembering Him, sorrows are forgotten, O Beloved; how can one forsake Him? ||2|| |
|
| ਇਹੁ ਤਨੁ ਵੇਚੀ ਸੰਤ ਪਹਿ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮੁ ਦੇਇ ਮਿਲਾਇ ॥੩॥ |
| eihu than vaechee santh pehi piaarae preetham dhaee milaae ||3|| |
| I would sell this body to the Saint, O Beloved, if he would lead me to my Dear Lord. ||3|| |
|
| ਸੁਖ ਸੀਗਾਰ ਬਿਖਿਆ ਕੇ ਫੀਕੇ ਤਜਿ ਛੋਡੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਮਾਇ ॥੪॥ |
| sukh seegaar bikhiaa kae feekae thaj shhoddae maeree maae ||4|| |
| The pleasures and adornments of corruption are insipid and useless; I have forsaken and abandoned them, O my Mother. ||4|| |
|
| ਕਾਮੁ ਕ੍ਰੋਧੁ ਲੋਭੁ ਤਜਿ ਗਏ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਚਰਨੀ ਪਾਇ ॥੫॥ |
| kaam krodhh lobh thaj geae piaarae sathigur charanee paae ||5|| |
| Lust, anger and greed left me, O Beloved, when I fell at the Feet of the True Guru. ||5|| |
|
| ਜੋ ਜਨ ਰਾਤੇ ਰਾਮ ਸਿਉ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਅਨਤ ਨ ਕਾਹੂ ਜਾਇ ॥੬॥ |
| jo jan raathae raam sio piaarae anath n kaahoo jaae ||6|| |
| Those humble beings who are imbued with the Lord, O Beloved, do not go anywhere else. ||6|| |
|
| ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਜਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹੀ ਚਾਖਿਆ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਰਹੇ ਆਘਾਇ ॥੭॥ |
| har ras jinhee chaakhiaa piaarae thripath rehae aaghaae ||7|| |
| Those who have tasted the Lord's sublime essence, O Beloved, remain satisfied and satiated. ||7|| |
|
| ਅੰਚਲੁ ਗਹਿਆ ਸਾਧ ਕਾ ਨਾਨਕ ਭੈ ਸਾਗਰੁ ਪਾਰਿ ਪਰਾਇ ॥੮॥੧॥੩॥ |
| anchal gehiaa saadhh kaa naanak bhai saagar paar paraae ||8||1||3|| |
| One who grasps the Hem of the Gown of the Holy Saint, O Nanak, crosses over the terrible world-ocean. ||8||1||3|| |

| ਜਨਮ ਮਰਣ ਦੁਖੁ ਕਟੀਐ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਜਬ ਭੇਟੈ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਇ ॥੧॥ |
| janam maran dhukh katteeai piaarae jab bhaettai har raae ||1|| |
| The pains of birth and death are removed, O Beloved, when the mortal meets with the Lord, the King. ||1|| |
|
| ਸੁੰਦਰੁ ਸੁਘਰੁ ਸੁਜਾਣੁ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਮੇਰਾ ਜੀਵਨੁ ਦਰਸੁ ਦਿਖਾਇ ॥੨॥ |
| sundhar sughar sujaan prabh maeraa jeevan dharas dhikhaae ||2|| |
| God is so Beautiful, so Refined, so Wise - He is my very life! Reveal to me Your Darshan! ||2|| |
|
| ਜੋ ਜੀਅ ਤੁਝ ਤੇ ਬੀਛੁਰੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਜਨਮਿ ਮਰਹਿ ਬਿਖੁ ਖਾਇ ॥੩॥ |
| jo jeea thujh thae beeshhurae piaarae janam marehi bikh khaae ||3|| |
| Those beings who are separated from You, O Beloved, are born only to die; they eat the poison of corruption. ||3|| |
|
| ਜਿਸੁ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਲਹਿ ਸੋ ਮਿਲੈ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਤਿਸ ਕੈ ਲਾਗਉ ਪਾਇ ॥੪॥ |
| jis thoon maelehi so milai piaarae this kai laago paae ||4|| |
| He alone meets You, whom You cause to meet, O Beloved; I fall at his feet. ||4|| |
|
| ਜੋ ਸੁਖੁ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਪੇਖਤੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਮੁਖ ਤੇ ਕਹਣੁ ਨ ਜਾਇ ॥੫॥ |
| jo sukh dharasan paekhathae piaarae mukh thae kehan n jaae ||5|| |
| That happiness which one receives by beholding Your Darshan, O Beloved, cannot be described in words. ||5|| |
|
| ਸਾਚੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਨ ਤੁਟਈ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਜੁਗੁ ਜੁਗੁ ਰਹੀ ਸਮਾਇ ॥੬॥ |
| saachee preeth n thuttee piaarae jug jug rehee samaae ||6|| |
| True Love cannot be broken, O Beloved; throughout the ages, it remains. ||6|| |
