ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਅਪੁਨੋ ਕਰਿ ਲੀਨਾ ਮਨਿ ਵਸਿਆ ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ॥੨॥ |
kar kirapaa apuno kar leenaa man vasiaa abinaasee ||2|| |
By His Mercy, He has made me His own, and the imperishable Lord has come to dwell within my mind. ||2|| |

ਤਾ ਕਉ ਬਿਘਨੁ ਨ ਕੋਊ ਲਾਗੈ ਜੋ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਅਪੁਨੈ ਰਾਖੇ ॥ |
thaa ko bighan n kooo laagai jo sathigur apunai raakhae || |
No misfortune afflicts one who is protected by the True Guru. |

ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਬਸੇ ਰਿਦ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਹਰਿ ਰਸੁ ਚਾਖੇ ॥੩॥ |
charan kamal basae ridh anthar anmrith har ras chaakhae ||3|| |
The Lotus Feet of God come to abide within his heart, and he savors the sublime essence of the Lord's Ambrosial Nectar. ||3|| |

ਕਰਿ ਸੇਵਾ ਸੇਵਕ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਜਿਨਿ ਮਨ ਕੀ ਇਛ ਪੁਜਾਈ ॥ |
kar saevaa saevak prabh apunae jin man kee eishh pujaaee || |
So, as a servant, serve your God, who fulfills your mind's desires. |

ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਸ ਤਾ ਕੈ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੈ ਜਿਨਿ ਪੂਰਨ ਪੈਜ ਰਖਾਈ ॥੪॥੧੪॥੨੫॥ |
naanak dhaas thaa kai balihaarai jin pooran paij rakhaaee ||4||14||25|| |
Slave Nanak is a sacrifice to the Perfect Lord, who has protected and preserved his honor. ||4||14||25|| |

ਮਾਇਆ ਮੋਹ ਮਗਨੁ ਅੰਧਿਆਰੈ ਦੇਵਨਹਾਰੁ ਨ ਜਾਨੈ ॥ |
maaeiaa moh magan andhhiaarai dhaevanehaar n jaanai || |
Infatuated with the darkness of emotional attachment to Maya, he does not know the Lord, the Great Giver. |

ਜੀਉ ਪਿੰਡੁ ਸਾਜਿ ਜਿਨਿ ਰਚਿਆ ਬਲੁ ਅਪੁਨੋ ਕਰਿ ਮਾਨੈ ॥੧॥ |
jeeo pindd saaj jin rachiaa bal apuno kar maanai ||1|| |
The Lord created his body and fashioned his soul, but he claims that his power is his own. ||1|| |

ਮਨ ਮੂੜੇ ਦੇਖਿ ਰਹਿਓ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸੁਆਮੀ ॥ |
man moorrae dhaekh rehiou prabh suaamee || |
O foolish mind, God, your Lord and Master is watching over you. |

ਜੋ ਕਿਛੁ ਕਰਹਿ ਸੋਈ ਸੋਈ ਜਾਣੈ ਰਹੈ ਨ ਕਛੂਐ ਛਾਨੀ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ |
jo kishh karehi soee soee jaanai rehai n kashhooai shhaanee || rehaao || |
Whatever you do, He knows; nothing can remain concealed from Him. ||Pause|| |

ਜਿਹਵਾ ਸੁਆਦ ਲੋਭ ਮਦਿ ਮਾਤੋ ਉਪਜੇ ਅਨਿਕ ਬਿਕਾਰਾ ॥ |
jihavaa suaadh lobh madh maatho oupajae anik bikaaraa || |
You are intoxicated with the tastes of the tongue, with greed and pride; countless sins spring from these. |

ਬਹੁਤੁ ਜੋਨਿ ਭਰਮਤ ਦੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਹਉਮੈ ਬੰਧਨ ਕੇ ਭਾਰਾ ॥੨॥ |
bahuth jon bharamath dhukh paaeiaa houmai bandhhan kae bhaaraa ||2|| |
You wandered in pain through countless incarnations, weighed down by the chains of egotism. ||2|| |

ਦੇਇ ਕਿਵਾੜ ਅਨਿਕ ਪੜਦੇ ਮਹਿ ਪਰ ਦਾਰਾ ਸੰਗਿ ਫਾਕੈ ॥ |
dhaee kivaarr anik parradhae mehi par dhaaraa sang faakai || |
Behind closed doors, hidden by many screens, the man takes his pleasure with another man's wife. |

ਚਿਤ੍ਰ ਗੁਪਤੁ ਜਬ ਲੇਖਾ ਮਾਗਹਿ ਤਬ ਕਉਣੁ ਪੜਦਾ ਤੇਰਾ ਢਾਕੈ ॥੩॥ |
chithr gupath jab laekhaa maagehi thab koun parradhaa thaeraa dtaakai ||3|| |
When Chitr and Gupt, the celestial accountants of the conscious and subconscious, call for your account, who will screen you then? ||3|| |

ਦੀਨ ਦਇਆਲ ਪੂਰਨ ਦੁਖ ਭੰਜਨ ਤੁਮ ਬਿਨੁ ਓਟ ਨ ਕਾਈ ॥ |
dheen dhaeiaal pooran dhukh bhanjan thum bin outt n kaaee || |
O Perfect Lord, Merciful to the meek, Destroyer of pain, without You, I have no shelter at all. |

ਕਾਢਿ ਲੇਹੁ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਸਾਗਰ ਮਹਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਰਣਾਈ ॥੪॥੧੫॥੨੬॥ |
kaadt laehu sansaar saagar mehi naanak prabh saranaaee ||4||15||26|| |
Please, lift me up out of the world-ocean; O God, I have come to Your Sanctuary. ||4||15||26|| |

paarabreham hoaa sehaaee kathhaa keerathan sukhadhaaee || |
The Supreme Lord God has become my helper and friend; His sermon and the Kirtan of His Praises have brought me peace. |

ਗੁਰ ਪੂਰੇ ਕੀ ਬਾਣੀ ਜਪਿ ਅਨਦੁ ਕਰਹੁ ਨਿਤ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ॥੧॥ |
gur poorae kee baanee jap anadh karahu nith praanee ||1|| |
Chant the Word of the Perfect Guru's Bani, and be ever in bliss, O mortal. ||1|| |

ਹਰਿ ਸਾਚਾ ਸਿਮਰਹੁ ਭਾਈ ॥ |
har saachaa simarahu bhaaee || |
Remember the True Lord in meditation, O Siblings of Destiny. |

ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਈਐ ਹਰਿ ਬਿਸਰਿ ਨ ਕਬਹੂ ਜਾਈ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ |
saadhhasang sadhaa sukh paaeeai har bisar n kabehoo jaaee || rehaao || |
In the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, eternal peace is obtained, and the Lord is never forgotten. ||Pause|| |

ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨਾਮੁ ਪਰਮੇਸਰੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਜੋ ਸਿਮਰੈ ਸੋ ਜੀਵੈ ॥ |
anmrith naam paramaesar thaeraa jo simarai so jeevai || |
Your Name, O Transcendent Lord, is Ambrosial Nectar; whoever meditates on it, lives. |

ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਕਰਮਿ ਪਰਾਪਤਿ ਹੋਵੈ ਸੋ ਜਨੁ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਥੀਵੈ ॥੨॥ |
jis no karam paraapath hovai so jan niramal thheevai ||2|| |
One who is blessed with God's Grace - that humble servant becomes immaculate and pure. ||2|| |

ਬਿਘਨ ਬਿਨਾਸਨ ਸਭਿ ਦੁਖ ਨਾਸਨ ਗੁਰ ਚਰਣੀ ਮਨੁ ਲਾਗਾ ॥ |
bighan binaasan sabh dhukh naasan gur charanee man laagaa || |
Obstacles are removed, and all pains are eliminated; my mind is attached to the Guru's feet. |

ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਤ ਅਚੁਤ ਅਬਿਨਾਸੀ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਰੰਗਿ ਜਾਗਾ ॥੩॥ |
gun gaavath achuth abinaasee anadhin har rang jaagaa ||3|| |
Singing the Glorious Praises of the immovable and imperishable Lord, one remains awake to the Lord's Love, day and night. ||3|| |

ਮਨ ਇਛੇ ਸੇਈ ਫਲ ਪਾਏ ਹਰਿ ਕੀ ਕਥਾ ਸੁਹੇਲੀ ॥ |
man eishhae saeee fal paaeae har kee kathhaa suhaelee || |
He obtains the fruits of his mind's desires, listening to the comforting sermon of the Lord. |

ਆਦਿ ਅੰਤਿ ਮਧਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਕਉ ਸੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਹੋਆ ਬੇਲੀ ॥੪॥੧੬॥੨੭॥ |
aadh anth madhh naanak ko so prabh hoaa baelee ||4||16||27|| |
In the beginning, in the middle, and in the end, God is Nanak's best friend. ||4||16||27|| |

binasai mohu maeraa ar thaeraa binasai apanee dhhaaree ||1|| |
May my emotional attachment, my sense of mine and yours, and my self-conceit be dispelled. ||1|| |

ਸੰਤਹੁ ਇਹਾ ਬਤਾਵਹੁ ਕਾਰੀ ॥ |
santhahu eihaa bathaavahu kaaree || |
O Saints, show me such a way, |

ਜਿਤੁ ਹਉਮੈ ਗਰਬੁ ਨਿਵਾਰੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ |
jith houmai garab nivaaree ||1|| rehaao || |
by which my egotism and pride might be eliminated. ||1||Pause|| |

ਸਰਬ ਭੂਤ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਕਰਿ ਮਾਨਿਆ ਹੋਵਾਂ ਸਗਲ ਰੇਨਾਰੀ ॥੨॥ |
sarab bhooth paarabreham kar maaniaa hovaan sagal raenaaree ||2|| |
I see the Supreme Lord God in all beings, and I am the dust of all. ||2|| |

ਪੇਖਿਓ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਜੀਉ ਅਪੁਨੈ ਸੰਗੇ ਚੂਕੈ ਭੀਤਿ ਭ੍ਰਮਾਰੀ ॥੩॥ |
paekhiou prabh jeeo apunai sangae chookai bheeth bhramaaree ||3|| |
I see God always with me, and the wall of doubt has been shattered. ||3|| |

ਅਉਖਧੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਜਲੁ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਪਾਈਐ ਗੁਰੂ ਦੁਆਰੀ ॥੪॥ |
aoukhadhh naam niramal jal anmrith paaeeai guroo dhuaaree ||4|| |
The medicine of the Naam, and the Immaculate Water of Ambrosial Nectar, are obtained through the Guru's Gate. ||4|| |

ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਜਿਸੁ ਮਸਤਕਿ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਤਿਸੁ ਗੁਰ ਮਿਲਿ ਰੋਗ ਬਿਦਾਰੀ ॥੫॥੧੭॥੨੮॥ |
kahu naanak jis masathak likhiaa this gur mil rog bidhaaree ||5||17||28|| |
Says Nanak, one who has such pre-ordained destiny inscribed upon his forehead, meets with the Guru, and his diseases are cured. ||5||17||28|| |
