| The Perfect Guru has made me perfect. |

| ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਰਵਿ ਰਹਿਆ ਭਰਪੂਰੀ ॥ |
| prabh rav rehiaa bharapooree || |
| God is totally pervading and permeating everywhere. |
|
| ਖੇਮ ਕੁਸਲ ਭਇਆ ਇਸਨਾਨਾ ॥ |
| khaem kusal bhaeiaa eisanaanaa || |
| With joy and pleasure, I take my purifying bath. |
|
| ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਵਿਟਹੁ ਕੁਰਬਾਨਾ ॥੧॥ |
| paarabreham vittahu kurabaanaa ||1|| |
| I am a sacrifice to the Supreme Lord God. ||1|| |
|
| ਗੁਰ ਕੇ ਚਰਨ ਕਵਲ ਰਿਦ ਧਾਰੇ ॥ |
| gur kae charan kaval ridh dhhaarae || |
| I enshrine the lotus feet of the Guru within my heart. |
|
| ਬਿਘਨੁ ਨ ਲਾਗੈ ਤਿਲ ਕਾ ਕੋਈ ਕਾਰਜ ਸਗਲ ਸਵਾਰੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ |
| bighan n laagai thil kaa koee kaaraj sagal savaarae ||1|| rehaao || |
| Not even the tiniest obstacle blocks my way; all my affairs are resolved. ||1||Pause|| |
|
| ਮਿਲਿ ਸਾਧੂ ਦੁਰਮਤਿ ਖੋਏ ॥ |
| mil saadhhoo dhuramath khoeae || |
| Meeting with the Holy Saints, my evil-mindedness was eradicated. |
|
| ਪਤਿਤ ਪੁਨੀਤ ਸਭ ਹੋਏ ॥ |
| pathith puneeth sabh hoeae || |
| All the sinners are purified. |
|
| ਰਾਮਦਾਸਿ ਸਰੋਵਰ ਨਾਤੇ ॥ |
| raamadhaas sarovar naathae || |
| Bathing in the sacred pool of Guru Ram Das, |
|
| ਸਭ ਲਾਥੇ ਪਾਪ ਕਮਾਤੇ ॥੨॥ |
| sabh laathhae paap kamaathae ||2|| |
| all the sins one has committed are washed away. ||2|| |
|
| ਗੁਨ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਨਿਤ ਗਾਈਐ ॥ |
| gun gobindh nith gaaeeai || |
| So sing forever the Glorious Praises of the Lord of the Universe; |
|
| ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਮਿਲਿ ਧਿਆਈਐ ॥ |
| saadhhasang mil dhhiaaeeai || |
| joining the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, meditate on Him. |
|
| ਮਨ ਬਾਂਛਤ ਫਲ ਪਾਏ ॥ |
| man baanshhath fal paaeae || |
| The fruits of your mind's desires are obtained |
|
| ਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰਾ ਰਿਦੈ ਧਿਆਏ ॥੩॥ |
| gur pooraa ridhai dhhiaaeae ||3|| |
| by meditating on the Perfect Guru within your heart. ||3|| |

| ਗੁਰ ਗੋਪਾਲ ਆਨੰਦਾ ॥ |
| gur gopaal aanandhaa || |
| The Guru, the Lord of the World, is blissful; |
|
| ਜਪਿ ਜਪਿ ਜੀਵੈ ਪਰਮਾਨੰਦਾ ॥ |
| jap jap jeevai paramaanandhaa || |
| chanting, meditating on the Lord of supreme bliss, He lives. |
|
| ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇਆ ॥ |
| jan naanak naam dhhiaaeiaa || |
| Servant Nanak meditates on the Naam, the Name of the Lord. |
|
| ਪ੍ਰਭ ਅਪਨਾ ਬਿਰਦੁ ਰਖਾਇਆ ॥੪॥੧੦॥੬੦॥ |

| ਦਹ ਦਿਸ ਛਤ੍ਰ ਮੇਘ ਘਟਾ ਘਟ ਦਾਮਨਿ ਚਮਕਿ ਡਰਾਇਓ ॥ |
| dheh dhis shhathr maegh ghattaa ghatt dhaaman chamak ddaraaeiou || |
| In the ten directions, the clouds cover the sky like a canopy; through the dark clouds, lightning flashes, and I am terrified. |

| ਸੇਜ ਇਕੇਲੀ ਨੀਦ ਨਹੁ ਨੈਨਹ ਪਿਰੁ ਪਰਦੇਸਿ ਸਿਧਾਇਓ ॥੧॥ |
| saej eikaelee needh nahu naineh pir paradhaes sidhhaaeiou ||1|| |
| By bed is empty, and my eyes are sleepless; my Husband Lord has gone far away. ||1|| |
|
| ਹੁਣਿ ਨਹੀ ਸੰਦੇਸਰੋ ਮਾਇਓ ॥ |

| Now, I receive no messages from Him, O mother! |
|
| ਏਕ ਕੋਸਰੋ ਸਿਧਿ ਕਰਤ ਲਾਲੁ ਤਬ ਚਤੁਰ ਪਾਤਰੋ ਆਇਓ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ |

| When my Beloved used to go even a mile away, He would send me four letters. ||Pause|| |

| ਕਿਉ ਬਿਸਰੈ ਇਹੁ ਲਾਲੁ ਪਿਆਰੋ ਸਰਬ ਗੁਣਾ ਸੁਖਦਾਇਓ ॥ |
| kio bisarai eihu laal piaaro sarab gunaa sukhadhaaeiou || |
| How could I forget this Dear Beloved of mine? He is the Giver of peace, and all virtues. |

| ਮੰਦਰਿ ਚਰਿ ਕੈ ਪੰਥੁ ਨਿਹਾਰਉ ਨੈਨ ਨੀਰਿ ਭਰਿ ਆਇਓ ॥੨॥ |

| Ascending to His Mansion, I gaze upon His path, and my eyes are filled with tears. ||2|| |
|
| ਹਉ ਹਉ ਭੀਤਿ ਭਇਓ ਹੈ ਬੀਚੋ ਸੁਨਤ ਦੇਸਿ ਨਿਕਟਾਇਓ ॥ |
| ho ho bheeth bhaeiou hai beecho sunath dhaes nikattaaeiou || |
| The wall of egotism and pride separates us, but I can hear Him nearby. |
|
| ਭਾਂਭੀਰੀ ਕੇ ਪਾਤ ਪਰਦੋ ਬਿਨੁ ਪੇਖੇ ਦੂਰਾਇਓ ॥੩॥ |
| bhaanbheeree kae paath paradho bin paekhae dhooraaeiou ||3|| |
| There is a veil between us, like the wings of a butterfly; without being able to see Him, He seems so far away. ||3|| |
|
| ਭਇਓ ਕਿਰਪਾਲੁ ਸਰਬ ਕੋ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਸਗਰੋ ਦੂਖੁ ਮਿਟਾਇਓ ॥ |
| bhaeiou kirapaal sarab ko thaakur sagaro dhookh mittaaeiou || |
| The Lord and Master of all has become merciful; He has dispelled all my sufferings. |
|
| ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਹਉਮੈ ਭੀਤਿ ਗੁਰਿ ਖੋਈ ਤਉ ਦਇਆਰੁ ਬੀਠਲੋ ਪਾਇਓ ॥੪॥ |
| kahu naanak houmai bheeth gur khoee tho dhaeiaar beethalo paaeiou ||4|| |
| Says Nanak, when the Guru tore down the wall of egotism, then, I found my Merciful Lord and Master. ||4|| |
|
| ਸਭੁ ਰਹਿਓ ਅੰਦੇਸਰੋ ਮਾਇਓ ॥ |
| sabh rehiou andhaesaro maaeiou || |
| All my fears have been dispelled, O mother! |
|
| ਜੋ ਚਾਹਤ ਸੋ ਗੁਰੂ ਮਿਲਾਇਓ ॥ |
| jo chaahath so guroo milaaeiou || |
| Whoever I seek, the Guru leads me to find. |
|
| ਸਰਬ ਗੁਨਾ ਨਿਧਿ ਰਾਇਓ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ਦੂਜਾ ॥੧੧॥੬੧॥ |
| sarab gunaa nidhh raaeiou || rehaao dhoojaa ||11||61|| |
| The Lord, our King, is the treasure of all virtue. ||Second Pause||11||61|| |

| ਗਈ ਬਹੋੜੁ ਬੰਦੀ ਛੋੜੁ ਨਿਰੰਕਾਰੁ ਦੁਖਦਾਰੀ ॥ |
| gee behorr bandhee shhorr nirankaar dhukhadhaaree || |
| The Restorer of what was taken away, the Liberator from captivity; the Formless Lord, the Destroyer of pain. |
|
| ਕਰਮੁ ਨ ਜਾਣਾ ਧਰਮੁ ਨ ਜਾਣਾ ਲੋਭੀ ਮਾਇਆਧਾਰੀ ॥ |
| karam n jaanaa dhharam n jaanaa lobhee maaeiaadhhaaree || |
| I do not know about karma and good deeds; I do not know about Dharma and righteous living. I am so greedy, chasing after Maya. |
|
| ਨਾਮੁ ਪਰਿਓ ਭਗਤੁ ਗੋਵਿੰਦ ਕਾ ਇਹ ਰਾਖਹੁ ਪੈਜ ਤੁਮਾਰੀ ॥੧॥ |
| naam pariou bhagath govindh kaa eih raakhahu paij thumaaree ||1|| |
| I go by the name of God's devotee; please, save this honor of Yours. ||1|| |
|
| ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਨਿਮਾਣਿਆ ਤੂ ਮਾਣੁ ॥ |
| har jeeo nimaaniaa thoo maan || |
| O Dear Lord, You are the honor of the dishonored. |
|
| ਨਿਚੀਜਿਆ ਚੀਜ ਕਰੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਗੋਵਿੰਦੁ ਤੇਰੀ ਕੁਦਰਤਿ ਕਉ ਕੁਰਬਾਣੁ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ |
| nicheejiaa cheej karae maeraa govindh thaeree kudharath ko kurabaan || rehaao || |
| You make the unworthy ones worthy, O my Lord of the Universe; I am a sacrifice to Your almighty creative power. ||Pause|| |

| ਜੈਸਾ ਬਾਲਕੁ ਭਾਇ ਸੁਭਾਈ ਲਖ ਅਪਰਾਧ ਕਮਾਵੈ ॥ |
| jaisaa baalak bhaae subhaaee lakh aparaadhh kamaavai || |
| Like the child, innocently making thousands of mistakes |
|
| ਕਰਿ ਉਪਦੇਸੁ ਝਿੜਕੇ ਬਹੁ ਭਾਤੀ ਬਹੁੜਿ ਪਿਤਾ ਗਲਿ ਲਾਵੈ ॥ |
| kar oupadhaes jhirrakae bahu bhaathee bahurr pithaa gal laavai || |
| his father teaches him, and scolds him so many times, but still, he hugs him close in his embrace. |
|
| ਪਿਛਲੇ ਅਉਗੁਣ ਬਖਸਿ ਲਏ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਆਗੈ ਮਾਰਗਿ ਪਾਵੈ ॥੨॥ |
| pishhalae aougun bakhas leae prabh aagai maarag paavai ||2|| |
| Please forgive my past actions, God, and place me on Your path for the future. ||2|| |

| ਹਰਿ ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ਸਭ ਬਿਧਿ ਜਾਣੈ ਤਾ ਕਿਸੁ ਪਹਿ ਆਖਿ ਸੁਣਾਈਐ ॥ |
| har antharajaamee sabh bidhh jaanai thaa kis pehi aakh sunaaeeai || |
| The Lord, the Inner-knower, the Searcher of hearts, knows all about my state of mind; so who else should I go to and speak to? |
|
| ਕਹਣੈ ਕਥਨਿ ਨ ਭੀਜੈ ਗੋਬਿੰਦੁ ਹਰਿ ਭਾਵੈ ਪੈਜ ਰਖਾਈਐ ॥ |
| kehanai kathhan n bheejai gobindh har bhaavai paij rakhaaeeai || |
| The Lord, the Lord of the Universe, is not pleased by mere recitation of words; if it is pleasing to His Will, He preserves our honor. |
|
| ਅਵਰ ਓਟ ਮੈ ਸਗਲੀ ਦੇਖੀ ਇਕ ਤੇਰੀ ਓਟ ਰਹਾਈਐ ॥੩॥ |
| avar outt mai sagalee dhaekhee eik thaeree outt rehaaeeai ||3|| |
| I have seen all other shelters, but Yours alone remains for me. ||3|| |
