| I am a sacrifice to the Saints. |

| ਸੰਤਨ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਰਾਮ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਉ ॥ |
| santhan kai sang raam gun gaao || |
| Associating with the Saints, I sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord. |
|
| ਸੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਕਿਲਵਿਖ ਸਭਿ ਗਏ ॥ |
| santh prasaadh kilavikh sabh geae || |
| By the Grace of the Saints, all the sins are taken away. |
|
| ਸੰਤ ਸਰਣਿ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਪਏ ॥੧॥ |
| santh saran vaddabhaagee peae ||1|| |
| By great good fortune, one finds the Sanctuary of the Saints. ||1|| |
|
| ਰਾਮੁ ਜਪਤ ਕਛੁ ਬਿਘਨੁ ਨ ਵਿਆਪੈ ॥ |

| Meditating on the Lord, no obstacles will block your way. |

| ਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਅਪੁਨਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਜਾਪੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ |

| By Guru's Grace, meditate on God. ||1||Pause|| |

| ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਜਬ ਹੋਇ ਦਇਆਲ ॥ |
| paarabreham jab hoe dhaeiaal || |
| When the Supreme Lord God becomes merciful, |
|
| ਸਾਧੂ ਜਨ ਕੀ ਕਰੈ ਰਵਾਲ ॥ |
| saadhhoo jan kee karai ravaal || |
| he makes me the dust of the feet of the Holy. |
|
| ਕਾਮੁ ਕ੍ਰੋਧੁ ਇਸੁ ਤਨ ਤੇ ਜਾਇ ॥ |
| kaam krodhh eis than thae jaae || |
| Sexual desire and anger leave his body, |
|
| ਰਾਮ ਰਤਨੁ ਵਸੈ ਮਨਿ ਆਇ ॥੨॥ |
| raam rathan vasai man aae ||2|| |
| and the Lord, the jewel, comes to dwell in his mind. ||2|| |

| ਸਫਲੁ ਜਨਮੁ ਤਾਂ ਕਾ ਪਰਵਾਣੁ ॥ |
| safal janam thaan kaa paravaan || |
| Fruitful and approved is the life of one |
|
| ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਨਿਕਟਿ ਕਰਿ ਜਾਣੁ ॥ |
| paarabreham nikatt kar jaan || |
| who knows the Supreme Lord God to be close. |
|
| ਭਾਇ ਭਗਤਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀਰਤਨਿ ਲਾਗੈ ॥ |
| bhaae bhagath prabh keerathan laagai || |
| One who is committed to loving devotional worship of God, and the Kirtan of His Praises, |
|
| ਜਨਮ ਜਨਮ ਕਾ ਸੋਇਆ ਜਾਗੈ ॥੩॥ |
| janam janam kaa soeiaa jaagai ||3|| |
| awakens from the sleep of countless incarnations. ||3|| |
|
| ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਜਨ ਕਾ ਆਧਾਰੁ ॥ |
| charan kamal jan kaa aadhhaar || |
| The Lord's Lotus Feet are the Support of His humble servant. |
|
| ਗੁਣ ਗੋਵਿੰਦ ਰਉਂ ਸਚੁ ਵਾਪਾਰੁ ॥ |
| gun govindh roun sach vaapaar || |
| To chant the Praises of the Lord of the Universe is the true trade. |
|
| ਦਾਸ ਜਨਾ ਕੀ ਮਨਸਾ ਪੂਰਿ ॥ |
| dhaas janaa kee manasaa poor || |
| Please fulfill the hopes of Your humble slave. |
|

| One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru: |

| ਕਰਿ ਨਮਸਕਾਰ ਪੂਰੇ ਗੁਰਦੇਵ ॥ |

| Humbly bow to the Perfect Divine Guru. |

| ਸਫਲ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਸਫਲ ਜਾ ਕੀ ਸੇਵ ॥ |
| safal moorath safal jaa kee saev || |
| Fruitful is His image, and fruitful is service to Him. |

| ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਬਿਧਾਤਾ ॥ |
| antharajaamee purakh bidhhaathaa || |
| He is the Inner-knower, the Searcher of hearts, the Architect of Destiny. |

| ਆਠ ਪਹਰ ਨਾਮ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਾਤਾ ॥੧॥ |

| Twenty-four hours a day, he remains imbued with the love of the Naam, the Name of the Lord. ||1|| |

| The Guru is the Lord of the Universe, the Guru is the Lord of the World. |

| He satisfies the kings, emperors and nobles. |
|
| ਦੁਸਟ ਅਹੰਕਾਰੀ ਮਾਰਿ ਪਚਾਏ ॥ |
| dhusatt ahankaaree maar pachaaeae || |
| He destroys the egotistical villains. |
|
| ਨਿੰਦਕ ਕੈ ਮੁਖਿ ਕੀਨੋ ਰੋਗੁ ॥ |
| nindhak kai mukh keeno rog || |
| He puts illness into the mouths of the slanderers. |
|
| ਜੈ ਜੈ ਕਾਰੁ ਕਰੈ ਸਭੁ ਲੋਗੁ ॥੨॥ |
| jai jai kaar karai sabh log ||2|| |
| All the people celebrate His victory. ||2|| |
|
| ਸੰਤਨ ਕੈ ਮਨਿ ਮਹਾ ਅਨੰਦੁ ॥ |
| santhan kai man mehaa anandh || |
| Supreme bliss fills the minds of the Saints. |
|
| ਸੰਤ ਜਪਹਿ ਗੁਰਦੇਉ ਭਗਵੰਤੁ ॥ |
| santh japehi guradhaeo bhagavanth || |
| The Saints meditate on the Divine Guru, the Lord God. |
|
| ਸੰਗਤਿ ਕੇ ਮੁਖ ਊਜਲ ਭਏ ॥ |
| sangath kae mukh oojal bheae || |
| The faces of His companions become radiant and bright. |
|
| ਸਗਲ ਥਾਨ ਨਿੰਦਕ ਕੇ ਗਏ ॥੩॥ |
| sagal thhaan nindhak kae geae ||3|| |
| The slanderers lose all places of rest. ||3|| |
|
| ਸਾਸਿ ਸਾਸਿ ਜਨੁ ਸਦਾ ਸਲਾਹੇ ॥ |
| saas saas jan sadhaa salaahae || |
| With each and every breath, the Lord's humble slaves praise Him. |
|
| ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗੁਰ ਬੇਪਰਵਾਹੇ ॥ |
| paarabreham gur baeparavaahae || |
| The Supreme Lord God and the Guru are care-free. |
|
| ਸਗਲ ਭੈ ਮਿਟੇ ਜਾ ਕੀ ਸਰਨਿ ॥ |
| sagal bhai mittae jaa kee saran || |
| All fears are eradicated, in His Sanctuary. |
|
| ਨਿੰਦਕ ਮਾਰਿ ਪਾਏ ਸਭਿ ਧਰਨਿ ॥੪॥ |
| nindhak maar paaeae sabh dhharan ||4|| |
| Smashing all the slanderers, the Lord knocks them to the ground. ||4|| |
|
| ਜਨ ਕੀ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਕਰੈ ਨ ਕੋਇ ॥ |
| jan kee nindhaa karai n koe || |
| Let no one slander the Lord's humble servants. |
|
| ਜੋ ਕਰੈ ਸੋ ਦੁਖੀਆ ਹੋਇ ॥ |
| jo karai so dhukheeaa hoe || |
| Whoever does so, will be miserable. |
|
| ਆਠ ਪਹਰ ਜਨੁ ਏਕੁ ਧਿਆਏ ॥ |
| aath pehar jan eaek dhhiaaeae || |
| Twenty-four hours a day, the Lord's humble servant meditates on Him alone. |
|
| ਜਮੂਆ ਤਾ ਕੈ ਨਿਕਟਿ ਨ ਜਾਏ ॥੫॥ |
| jamooaa thaa kai nikatt n jaaeae ||5|| |
| The Messenger of Death does not even approach him. ||5|| |
|
| ਜਨ ਨਿਰਵੈਰ ਨਿੰਦਕ ਅਹੰਕਾਰੀ ॥ |
| jan niravair nindhak ahankaaree || |
| The Lord's humble servant has no vengeance. The slanderer is egotistical. |
|
| ਜਨ ਭਲ ਮਾਨਹਿ ਨਿੰਦਕ ਵੇਕਾਰੀ ॥ |
| jan bhal maanehi nindhak vaekaaree || |
| The Lord's humble servant wishes well, while the slanderer dwells on evil. |
|
| ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਸਿਖਿ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਧਿਆਇਆ ॥ |
| gur kai sikh sathiguroo dhhiaaeiaa || |
| The Sikh of the Guru meditates on the True Guru. |
|
| ਜਨ ਉਬਰੇ ਨਿੰਦਕ ਨਰਕਿ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੬॥ |
| jan oubarae nindhak narak paaeiaa ||6|| |
| The Lord's humble servants are saved, while the slanderer is cast into hell. ||6|| |
|
| ਸੁਣਿ ਸਾਜਨ ਮੇਰੇ ਮੀਤ ਪਿਆਰੇ ॥ |
| sun saajan maerae meeth piaarae || |
| Listen, O my beloved friends and companions: |
|
| ਸਤਿ ਬਚਨ ਵਰਤਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਦੁਆਰੇ ॥ |
| sath bachan varathehi har dhuaarae || |
| these words shall be true in the Court of the Lord. |
|
| ਜੈਸਾ ਕਰੇ ਸੁ ਤੈਸਾ ਪਾਏ ॥ |
| jaisaa karae s thaisaa paaeae || |
| As you plant, so shall you harvest. |
|
| ਅਭਿਮਾਨੀ ਕੀ ਜੜ ਸਰਪਰ ਜਾਏ ॥੭॥ |
| abhimaanee kee jarr sarapar jaaeae ||7|| |
| The proud, egotistical person will surely be uprooted. ||7|| |
|
| ਨੀਧਰਿਆ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਧਰ ਤੇਰੀ ॥ |
| needhhariaa sathigur dhhar thaeree || |
| O True Guru, You are the Support of the unsupported. |
|
| ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਰਾਖਹੁ ਜਨ ਕੇਰੀ ॥ |
| kar kirapaa raakhahu jan kaeree || |
| Be merciful, and save Your humble servant. |
|
| ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਤਿਸੁ ਗੁਰ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀ ॥ |

| Says Nanak, I am a sacrifice to the Guru; |

| ਜਾ ਕੈ ਸਿਮਰਨਿ ਪੈਜ ਸਵਾਰੀ ॥੮॥੧॥੨੯॥ |

| remembering Him in meditation, my honor has been saved. ||8||1||29|| |
