| When the Supreme Lord God grants His Mercy, |

| ਬਾਹ ਪਕੜਿ ਰੋਗਹੁ ਕਢਿ ਲਇਆ ॥ |
| baah pakarr rogahu kadt laeiaa || |
| He grabs hold of the mortal's arm, and pulls him up and out of the disease. |
|
| ਤੂਟੇ ਬੰਧਨ ਸਾਧਸੰਗੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥ |
| thoottae bandhhan saadhhasang paaeiaa || |
| Reaching the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, the mortal's bonds are broken. |

| When He comes to mind, then I am in supreme bliss. |

| When He comes to mind, then all my pains are shattered. |
|
| ਚੀਤਿ ਆਵੈ ਤਾਂ ਸਰਧਾ ਪੂਰੀ ॥ |

| When He comes to mind, my hopes are fulfilled. |

| When He comes to mind, I am the king of all. |

| ਚੀਤਿ ਆਵੈ ਤਾਂ ਪੂਰੇ ਕਾਜਾ ॥ |

| When He comes to mind, all my affairs are completed. |
|
| ਚੀਤਿ ਆਵੈ ਤਾਂ ਰੰਗਿ ਗੁਲਾਲ ॥ |

| When He comes to mind, I am dyed in the deep crimson of His Love. |

| When He comes to mind, then I enjoy all pleasures. |

| When He comes to mind, I find the home of peace and poise. |

| When He comes to mind, I am absorbed in the Primal Void of God. |

| When He comes to mind, I continually sing the Kirtan of His Praises. |

| My brothers live forever as well. |

| My friends are permanent and imperishable. |

| ਕੁਟੰਬੁ ਹਮਾਰਾ ਨਿਜ ਘਰਿ ਵਾਸੀ ॥੧॥ |

| My family abides in the home of the self within. ||1|| |

| ਹਮ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਤਾਂ ਸਭਹਿ ਸੁਹੇਲੇ ॥ |

| I have found peace, and so all are at peace. |

| My countries are infinite and uncountable. |

| ਰਾਜੁ ਹਮਾਰਾ ਸਦ ਹੀ ਨਿਹਚਲੁ ॥ |

| My kingdom is eternally stable. |

| ਮਾਲੁ ਹਮਾਰਾ ਅਖੂਟੁ ਅਬੇਚਲੁ ॥੨॥ |

| My wealth is inexhaustible and permanent. ||2|| |

| ਸੋਭਾ ਮੇਰੀ ਸਭ ਜੁਗ ਅੰਤਰਿ ॥ |

| My glorious reputation resounds throughout the ages. |

| My fame has spread in all places and interspaces. |

| ਕੀਰਤਿ ਹਮਰੀ ਘਰਿ ਘਰਿ ਹੋਈ ॥ |

| My praises echo in each and every house. |

| ਭਗਤਿ ਹਮਾਰੀ ਸਭਨੀ ਲੋਈ ॥੩॥ |

| My devotional worship is known to all people. ||3|| |

| ਪਿਤਾ ਹਮਾਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਗਟੇ ਮਾਝ ॥ |

| My Father has revealed Himself within me. |
|
| ਪਿਤਾ ਪੂਤ ਰਲਿ ਕੀਨੀ ਸਾਂਝ ॥ |
| pithaa pooth ral keenee saanjh || |
| The Father and son have joined together in partnership. |
|
| ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਜਉ ਪਿਤਾ ਪਤੀਨੇ ॥ |

| Says Nanak, when my Father is pleased, |

| ਪਿਤਾ ਪੂਤ ਏਕੈ ਰੰਗਿ ਲੀਨੇ ॥੪॥੯॥੨੨॥ |

| The True Guru, the Primal Being, is free of revenge and hate; He is God, the Great Giver. |

| ਹਮ ਅਪਰਾਧੀ ਤੁਮ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਬਖਸਾਤੇ ॥ |
| ham aparaadhhee thumh bakhasaathae || |
| I am a sinner; You are my Forgiver. |
|
| ਜਿਸੁ ਪਾਪੀ ਕਉ ਮਿਲੈ ਨ ਢੋਈ ॥ |
| jis paapee ko milai n dtoee || |
| That sinner, who finds no protection anywhere |
|
| ਸਰਣਿ ਆਵੈ ਤਾਂ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਹੋਈ ॥੧॥ |

| - if he comes seeking Your Sanctuary, then he becomes immaculate and pure. ||1|| |

| ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਮਨਾਇ ॥ |

| Pleasing the True Guru, I have found peace. |

| My mind and body are Yours; all the world is Yours. |

| ਚੂਕਾ ਪੜਦਾ ਤਾਂ ਨਦਰੀ ਆਇਆ ॥ |

| When the veil of illusion is removed, then I come to see You. |

| ਖਸਮੁ ਤੂਹੈ ਸਭਨਾ ਕੇ ਰਾਇਆ ॥੨॥ |

| You are my Lord and Master; You are the King of all. ||2|| |

| ਤਿਸੁ ਭਾਣਾ ਸੂਕੇ ਕਾਸਟ ਹਰਿਆ ॥ |

| When it pleases Him, even dry wood becomes green. |
|
| ਤਿਸੁ ਭਾਣਾ ਤਾਂ ਥਲ ਸਿਰਿ ਸਰਿਆ ॥ |

| When it pleases Him, rivers flow across the desert sands. |
|
| ਤਿਸੁ ਭਾਣਾ ਤਾਂ ਸਭਿ ਫਲ ਪਾਏ ॥ |

| When it pleases Him, all fruits and rewards are obtained. |
