| ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਅਗਨੀ ਮਹਿ ਭੂੰਜਾ ॥ |
| kaam krodhh aganee mehi bhoonjaa || |
| their sexual desire and anger are burnt off in the fire. |

| ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਸਿਉ ਠਾਟੁ ਨ ਬਨਿਆ ॥ |
| kaam krodhh sio thaatt n baniaa || |
| I have no dealings whatsoever with sexual desire and anger. |

| ਮਨ ਮਹਿ ਕ੍ਰੋਧੁ ਮਹਾ ਅਹੰਕਾਰਾ ॥ |
| man mehi krodhh mehaa ahankaaraa || |
| Within the mind dwell anger and massive ego. |
|
| ਮਹਾ ਤਰੰਗ ਤੇ ਕਾਂਢੈ ਲਾਗਾ ॥ |
| mehaa tharang thae kaandtai laagaa || |
| He has rescued me from the most dangerous waves. |
|
| ਹੇ ਕਲਿ ਮੂਲ ਕ੍ਰੋਧੰ ਕਦੰਚ ਕਰੁਣਾ ਨ ਉਪਰਜਤੇ ॥ |
| hae kal mool krodhhan kadhanch karunaa n ouparajathae || |
| O anger, you are the root of conflict; compassion never rises up in you. |

| ਦੀਨ ਦੁਖ ਭੰਜਨ ਦਯਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਰਬ ਜੀਅ ਰਖ੍ਯ੍ਯਾ ਕਰੋਤਿ ॥੪੭॥ |
| dheen dhukh bhanjan dhayaal prabh naanak sarab jeea rakhyaa karoth ||47|| |
| O Destroyer of the pains of the poor, O Merciful God, Nanak prays for You to protect all begins from such anger. ||47|| |

| ਕਬੀਰ ਪਰਦੇਸੀ ਕੈ ਘਾਘਰੈ ਚਹੁ ਦਿਸਿ ਲਾਗੀ ਆਗਿ ॥ |
| kabeer paradhaesee kai ghaagharai chahu dhis laagee aag || |
| Kabeer, the robe of the stranger-soul has caught fire on all four sides. |

| ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਮਦ ਮਤਸਰ ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨਾ ਬਿਨਸਿ ਜਾਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਉਚਾਰੀ ॥ |
| kaam krodhh madh mathasar thrisanaa binas jaahi har naam ouchaaree || |
| Lust, anger, egotism, jealousy and desire are eliminated by chanting the Name of the Lord. |

| ਸਬਦ ਸੂਰ ਬਲਵੰਤ ਕਾਮ ਅਰੁ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਬਿਨਾਸਨ ॥ |
| sabadh soor balavanth kaam ar krodhh binaasan || |
| You are the Heroic Warrior of the Shabad, the Word of God. Your Power destroys sexual desire and anger. |

| ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਅਰੁ ਲੋਭ ਮੋਹ ਵਸਿ ਕਰੈ ਸਭੈ ਬਲ ॥ |
| kaam krodhh ar lobh moh vas karai sabhai bal || |
| Sexual desire, anger, greed and emotional attachment - You have overcome all these powerful passions. |

| ਤੈ ਲੋਭੁ ਕ੍ਰੋਧੁ ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨਾ ਤਜੀ ਸੁ ਮਤਿ ਜਲ੍ਯ੍ਯ ਜਾਣੀ ਜੁਗਤਿ ॥ |
| thai lobh krodhh thrisanaa thajee s math jaly jaanee jugath || |
| says JALL that sublime understanding has brought You to renounce greed, anger and desire, and to know the way. |

| ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਵਸਿ ਕਰੈ ਪਵਣੁ ਉਡੰਤ ਨ ਧਾਵੈ ॥ |
| kaam krodhh vas karai pavan ouddanth n dhhaavai || |
| Lust and anger are brought under control, when the breath does not fly around, wandering restlessly. |

| ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਲੋਭ ਮੋਹ ਅਪਤੁ ਪੰਚ ਦੂਤ ਬਿਖੰਡਿਓ ॥ |
| kaam krodhh lobh moh apath panch dhooth bikhanddiou || |
| He has cut down the five demons of unfulfilled sexual desire, unresolved anger, unsatisfied greed, emotional attachment and self-conceit. |

| ਤਾਰਣ ਤਰਣ ਖਿਨ ਮਾਤ੍ਰ ਜਾ ਕਉ ਦ੍ਰਿਸ੍ਟਿ ਧਾਰੈ ਸਬਦੁ ਰਿਦ ਬੀਚਾਰੈ ਕਾਮੁ ਕ੍ਰੋਧੁ ਖੋਵੈ ਜੀਉ ॥ |
| thaaran tharan khin maathr jaa ko dhrist dhhaarai sabadh ridh beechaarai kaam krodhh khovai jeeo || |
| When the Lord, the Boat to carry us across, bestows His Glance of Grace, even for an instant, the mortal contemplates the Shabad within his heart; unfulfilled sexual desire and unresolved anger are eradicated. |

| ਜਾ ਕੇ ਦੇਖਤ ਦੁਆਰੇ ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਹੀ ਨਿਵਾਰੇ ਜੀ ਹਉ ਬਲਿ ਬਲਿ ਜਾਉ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਸਾਚੇ ਨਾਮ ਪਰ ॥੩॥ |
| jaa kae dhaekhath dhuaarae kaam krodhh hee nivaarae jee ho bal bal jaao sathigur saachae naam par ||3|| |
| Seeing His Door, I am rid of sexual desire and anger. I am a sacrifice, a sacrifice, to the True Name, O my True Guru. ||3|| |

| ਤਜਿ ਮਾਇਆ ਮੋਹੁ ਲੋਭੁ ਅਰੁ ਲਾਲਚੁ ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਕੀ ਬ੍ਰਿਥਾ ਗਈ ॥ |
| thaj maaeiaa mohu lobh ar laalach kaam krodhh kee brithhaa gee || |
| They forsake Maya, emotional attachment and greed; they are rid of the frustrations of possessiveness, sexual desire and anger. |

| ਕਾਮੁ ਕ੍ਰੋਧੁ ਲੋਭੁ ਮੋਹੁ ਜਣ ਜਣ ਸਿਉ ਛਾਡੁ ਧੋਹੁ ਹਉਮੈ ਕਾ ਫੰਧੁ ਕਾਟੁ ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਰਤਿ ਜੀਉ ॥ |
| kaam krodhh lobh mohu jan jan sio shhaadd dhhohu houmai kaa fandhh kaatt saadhhasang rath jeeo || |
| Renounce sexual desire, anger, greed and attachment; give up your games of deception. Snap the noose of egotism, and let yourself be at home in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy. |

| ਮਨਸਾ ਕਰਿ ਸਿਮਰੰਤ ਤੁਝੈ ਨਰ ਕਾਮੁ ਕ੍ਰੋਧੁ ਮਿਟਿਅਉ ਜੁ ਤਿਣੰ ॥ |
| manasaa kar simaranth thujhai nar kaam krodhh mittiao j thinan || |
| Those who meditate in remembrance on You within their minds - their sexual desire and anger are taken away. |

| ਕਵਿ ਕੀਰਤ ਜੋ ਸੰਤ ਚਰਨ ਮੁੜਿ ਲਾਗਹਿ ਤਿਨ੍ਹ੍ਹ ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਜਮ ਕੋ ਨਹੀ ਤ੍ਰਾਸੁ ॥ |
| kav keerath jo santh charan murr laagehi thinh kaam krodhh jam ko nehee thraas || |
| So speaks Keerat the poet: those who grasp hold of the feet of the Saints, are not afraid of death, sexual desire or anger. |

| ਕ੍ਰੋਧੁ ਖੰਡਿ ਪਰਚੰਡਿ ਲੋਭੁ ਅਪਮਾਨ ਸਿਉ ਝਾੜ੍ਯ੍ਯਉ ॥ |
| krodhh khandd parachandd lobh apamaan sio jhaarryo || |
| With His Power, He cut anger into pieces, and sent greed away in disgrace. |

| ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਿ ਮਨੁ ਹਿਰਿ ਲਇਆ ਮਨਮੁਖ ਅੰਧਾ ਲੋਇ ॥ |
| kaam krodhh man hir laeiaa manamukh andhhaa loe || |
| The self-willed manmukh is blind in the world; his mind is lured away by sexual desire and anger. |
|
| ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਕਾ ਚੋਲੜਾ ਸਭ ਗਲਿ ਆਏ ਪਾਇ ॥ |
| kaam krodhh kaa cholarraa sabh gal aaeae paae || |
| All have come, wearing the robes of sexual desire and anger. |

| ਅੰਤਰਿ ਕ੍ਰੋਧੁ ਅਹੰਕਾਰੁ ਹੈ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਜਲੈ ਸਦਾ ਦੁਖੁ ਪਾਇ ॥ |
| anthar krodhh ahankaar hai anadhin jalai sadhaa dhukh paae || |
| Anger and egotism are within him night and day; he burns, and suffers constant pain. |
|
| ਆਪਣੈ ਰੋਹਿ ਆਪੇ ਹੀ ਦਝੈ ॥ |
| aapanai rohi aapae hee dhajhai || |
| By his own anger, he only burns himself. |
|
| ਚਾਕਰੀ ਵਿਡਾਣੀ ਖਰੀ ਦੁਖਾਲੀ ਆਪੁ ਵੇਚਿ ਧਰਮੁ ਗਵਾਏ ॥ |
| chaakaree viddaanee kharee dhukhaalee aap vaech dhharam gavaaeae || |
| Working for strangers is very painful; doing so, one sells himself and loses his faith in the Dharma. |

| ਆਠ ਪਹਰ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵਤ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੇ ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਇਸੁ ਤਨ ਤੇ ਜਾਤ ॥੧॥ |
| aath pehar gun gaavath prabh kae kaam krodhh eis than thae jaath ||1|| |
| Twenty-four hours a day, I sing the Glorious Praises of God. Sexual desire and anger have left this body. ||1|| |

| ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਪਰਹਰੀਆ ਕਾਢੇ ਸਾਧੂ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਮਾਰਿ ॥ |
| kaam krodhh nindhaa parehareeaa kaadtae saadhhoo kai sang maar || |
| Sexual desire, anger and slander are gone; in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, I have beaten them and driven them out. |
|
| ਫਰੀਦਾ ਬੁਰੇ ਦਾ ਭਲਾ ਕਰਿ ਗੁਸਾ ਮਨਿ ਨ ਹਢਾਇ ॥ |
| fareedhaa burae dhaa bhalaa kar gusaa man n hadtaae || |
| Fareed, answer evil with goodness; do not fill your mind with anger. |
