| ਪੂਰੈ ਕਰਮਿ ਧਿਆਇ ਪੂਰਾ ਸਬਦੁ ਮੰਨਿ ਵਸਾਇਆ ॥ |
| poorai karam dhhiaae pooraa sabadh mann vasaaeiaa || |
| Meditating on the Perfect Lord, by perfect karma, I have enshrined the Shabad within my mind. |

| ਨਾਨਕ ਕਰਮਾ ਬਾਹਰੇ ਹੋਰਿ ਕੇਤੇ ਮੁਠੇ ਜਾਹਿ ॥੨॥ |
| naanak karamaa baaharae hor kaethae muthae jaahi ||2|| |
| O Nanak, the multitudes who do not have good karma are plundered. ||2|| |
|
| ਕਿਆ ਹਮ ਕਿਰਮ ਕਿਆ ਕਰਮ ਕਮਾਵਹਿ ਮੂਰਖ ਮੁਗਧ ਰਖੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਤਾਸ ॥ |
| kiaa ham kiram kiaa karam kamaavehi moorakh mugadhh rakhae prabh thaas || |
| I am such a worm! What karma am I creating? What can I do? I am a fool, a total idiot, but God has saved me. |
|
| ਜਾ ਕੈ ਕਰਮੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਧਰਮੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਨਾਹੀ ਸੁਚਿ ਮਾਲਾ ॥ |
| jaa kai karam naahee dhharam naahee naahee such maalaa || |
| One who does not have good karma or Dharmic faith, sacred rosary or mala |
|
| ਦੂਧੁ ਕਰਮੁ ਸੰਤੋਖੁ ਘੀਉ ਕਰਿ ਐਸਾ ਮਾਂਗਉ ਦਾਨੁ ॥੩॥ |
| dhoodhh karam santhokh gheeo kar aisaa maango dhaan ||3|| |
| Bless me with the milk of good karma, and the clarified butter, the ghee, of compassion. Such are the gifts I beg of You, Lord. ||3|| |
|
| ਸਾ ਜਾਤਿ ਸਾ ਪਤਿ ਹੈ ਜੇਹੇ ਕਰਮ ਕਮਾਇ ॥ |
| saa jaath saa path hai jaehae karam kamaae || |
| That is your social class and that is your status - the karma of what you have done. |
|
| ਪੂਰਨ ਕਰਮ ਤਾ ਕੇ ਆਚਾਰ ॥੨॥ |
| pooran karam thaa kae aachaar ||2|| |
| - they have perfect karma and conduct. ||2|| |
|
| ਸਾਧਸੰਗਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਮਿਲੈ ਜਿਸਹਿ ਪੂਰਨ ਕਰਮ ॥੩॥ |
| saadhhasangath har milai jisehi pooran karam ||3|| |
| One who has perfect karma joins the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, and meets the Lord. ||3|| |
|
| ਹਰਿ ਜਸੁ ਕਰਮੁ ਧਰਮੁ ਪਤਿ ਪੂਜਾ ॥ |
| har jas karam dhharam path poojaa || |
| Those who take the Lord's Praises as their karma and Dharma, their honor and worship service |
|
| ਜੀਅ ਕਾ ਬੰਧਨੁ ਕਰਮੁ ਬਿਆਪੈ ॥ |
| jeea kaa bandhhan karam biaapai || |
| The mortal's actions hold the soul in the bondage of karma. |
|
| ਜੋ ਜਾਨਸਿ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੰ ਕਰਮੰ ॥ |
| jo jaanas brehaman karaman || |
| If you know God and the nature of karma, |
|
| ਰਿਦ ਬਸੰਤਿ ਭੈ ਭੀਤ ਦੂਤਹ ਕਰਮ ਕਰਤ ਮਹਾ ਨਿਰਮਲਹ ॥ |
| ridh basanth bhai bheeth dhootheh karam karath mehaa niramaleh || |
| Enshrining the Lord deep within the heart, and with the immaculate karma of doing good deeds, one strikes fear into the demons. |
|
| ਦਾਨੰ ਪਰਾ ਪੂਰਬੇਣ ਭੁੰਚੰਤੇ ਮਹੀਪਤੇ ॥ |
| dhaanan paraa poorabaen bhunchanthae meheepathae || |
| The kings of the earth are eating up the blessings of the good karma of their past lives. |
|
| ਬਚਨ ਸਾਧ ਸੁਖ ਪੰਥਾ ਲਹੰਥਾ ਬਡ ਕਰਮਣਹ ॥ |
| bachan saadhh sukh panthhaa lehanthhaa badd karamaneh || |
| The Words of the Holy are the path of peace. They are obtained by good karma. |
|
| ਨਾਨਕ ਲਬਧ ਕਰਮਣਹ ॥੧੬॥ |
| naanak labadhh karamaneh ||16|| |
| O Nanak, they are found by good karma. ||16|| |
|
| ਜੋ ਜੋ ਓਨਾ ਕਰਮ ਸੁਕਰਮ ਹੋਇ ਪਸਰਿਆ ॥ |
| jo jo ounaa karam sukaram hoe pasariaa || |
| Their good deeds and karma become apparent. |
|
| ਕਰਮੀ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਿਨਿ ਹਉ ਲੀਆ ਛਡਾਇ ॥੨੦੯॥ |
| karamee sathigur paaeiaa jin ho leeaa shhaddaae ||209|| |
| By the Grace of good karma, I have found the True Guru, who has saved me. ||209|| |
|
| ਫਰੀਦਾ ਜਾਂ ਤਉ ਖਟਣ ਵੇਲ ਤਾਂ ਤੂ ਰਤਾ ਦੁਨੀ ਸਿਉ ॥ |
| fareedhaa jaan tho khattan vael thaan thoo rathaa dhunee sio || |
| Fareed, when there was time for you to earn good karma, you were in love with the world instead. |

| ਮਿਸਲ ਫਕੀਰਾਂ ਗਾਖੜੀ ਸੁ ਪਾਈਐ ਪੂਰ ਕਰੰਮਿ ॥੧੧੧॥ |
| misal fakeeraan gaakharree s paaeeai poor karanm ||111|| |
| It is so difficult to be like the fakeers - the Holy Saints; it is only achieved by perfect karma. ||111|| |
|
| ਧਰਮ ਕਰਮ ਪੂਰੈ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪਾਈ ਹੈ ॥ |
| dhharam karam poorai sathigur paaee hai || |
| Dharmic faith and the karma of good deeds are obtained from the Perfect True Guru. |

| ਮਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਮੁਗਧ ਬੀਚਾਰੁ ਅਹਿਨਿਸਿ ਜਪੁ ਧਰਮ ਕਰਮ ਪੂਰੈ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਪਾਈ ਹੈ ॥੨॥ |
| man praanee mugadhh beechaar ahinis jap dhharam karam poorai sathigur paaee hai ||2|| |
| You foolish mortal being, reflect on this in your mind; chant and meditate day and night. Dharmic faith and the karma of good deeds are obtained from the Perfect True Guru. ||2|| |
|
| ਕਰਮ ਕਰਿ ਤੁਅ ਦਰਸ ਪਰਸ ਪਾਰਸ ਸਰ ਬਲ੍ਯ੍ਯ ਭਟ ਜਸੁ ਗਾਇਯਉ ॥ |
| karam kar thua dharas paras paaras sar baly bhatt jas gaaeiyo || |
| Those who obtain the Blessed Vision of Your Darshan, by the karma of their good deeds, touch the Philosopher's Stone, and like BALL the poet, sing Your Praises. |
|
| ਗੁਰ ਕੀ ਪਉੜੀ ਜਾਇ ਚੜੈ ਕਰਮਿ ਪਰਾਪਤਿ ਹੋਈ ॥ |
| gur kee pourree jaae charrai karam paraapath hoee || |
| Those blessed by the karma of good deeds go and climb the ladder of the Guru. |

| ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਵਿਚਿ ਵਡੀਆ ਵਡਿਆਈਆ ਭਾਈ ਕਰਮਿ ਮਿਲੈ ਤਾਂ ਪਾਇ ॥ |
| sathigur vich vaddeeaa vaddiaaeeaa bhaaee karam milai thaan paae || |
| Great is the Glorious Greatness of the True Guru, O Siblings of Destiny; if one is blessed with good karma, He is found. |
|
| ਨਾਨਕ ਕਰਮੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਤਿਨ ਸਚਾ ਜੋ ਗੁਰ ਚਰਣੀ ਲਗੇ ਆਇ ॥੨੦॥ |
| naanak karam paaeiaa thin sachaa jo gur charanee lagae aae ||20|| |
| O Nanak, those who come and fall at the Feet of the Guru are blessed with the karma of Truth. ||20|| |
|
| ਪਾਪੀ ਕਰਮ ਕਮਾਵਦੇ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਾਏ ਹਾਇ ॥ |
| paapee karam kamaavadhae karadhae haaeae haae || |
| The sinners act, and generate bad karma, and then they weep and wail. |
|
| ਸੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਚਿਤਿ ਨ ਆਵਈ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਹੀ ਕਰੰਮਿ ॥੧੯॥ |
| so prabh chith n aavee naanak nehee karanm ||19|| |
| That God does not even come into his consciousness; O Nanak, it is not in his karma. ||19|| |
|
| ਜਨਮ ਕਰਮ ਮਲੁ ਉਤਰੈ ਮਨ ਤੇ ਜਾਇ ਗੁਮਾਨੁ ॥ |
| janam karam mal outharai man thae jaae gumaan || |
| In this way, the filth of lifetimes of karma shall be removed, and egotistical pride shall vanish from your mind. |
|
| ਤਬ ਹੂਆ ਸਗਲ ਕਰਮ ਕਾ ਨਾਸੁ ॥੭॥ |
| thab hooaa sagal karam kaa naas ||7|| |
| All your karma will be erased. ||7|| |
|
| ਮਨ ਮਾਹਿ ਸਾਜਨ ਕਰਹਿ ਰਲੀਆ ਕਰਮ ਧਰਮ ਸਬਾਇਆ ॥ਅਠਸਠਿ ਤੀਰਥ ਪੁੰਨ ਪੂਜਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਾਚਾ ਭਾਇਆ ॥ |
| man maahi saajan karehi raleeaa karam dhharam sabaaeiaa || athasath theerathh punn poojaa naam saachaa bhaaeiaa || |
| In their minds, these friends celebrate in happiness; all good karma, righteousness and Dharma, the sixty-eight holy places of pilgrimage, charity and worship, are found in the love of the True Name. |

| ਜਿਸੁ ਕਰਮੁ ਖੁਲਿਆ ਤਿਸੁ ਲਹਿਆ ਪੜਦਾ ਜਿਨਿ ਗੁਰ ਪਹਿ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਸੁਭਾਇ ॥ |
| jis karam khuliaa this lehiaa parradhaa jin gur pehi manniaa subhaae || |
| When good karma dawns, the wall of doubt is torn down. He lovingly accepts the Guru's Will. |
|
| ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਜਾਤਾ ਕਰਮਿ ਬਿਧਾਤਾ ॥ |
| guramukh jaathaa karam bidhhaathaa || |
| The Gurmukh knows that the Lord is the Architect of karma. |
|
| ਅੰਤਰਿ ਜੋਤਿ ਭਈ ਗੁਰ ਸਾਖੀ ਚੀਨੇ ਰਾਮ ਕਰੰਮਾ ॥ |
| anthar joth bhee gur saakhee cheenae raam karanmaa || |
| His inner being is illuminated, by the Guru's Teachings; He beholds the Lord's play of karma. |
|
| ਕਰਮੁ ਧਰਮੁ ਮੇਰਾ ਕਛੁ ਨ ਬੀਚਾਰਿਓ ॥ |
| karam dhharam maeraa kashh n beechaariou || |
| He does not consider the karma of my actions, or my Dharma, my spiritual practice. |
