| ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨਾ ਅਹਿਨਿਸਿ ਅਗਲੀ ਹਉਮੈ ਰੋਗੁ ਵਿਕਾਰੁ ॥ |
| thrisanaa ahinis agalee houmai rog vikaar || |
| but still, desires increase day and night, and the disease of egotism fills us with corruption. |

| ਇਕੁ ਤਿਲੁ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਵੀਸਰੈ ਰੋਗੁ ਵਡਾ ਮਨ ਮਾਹਿ ॥ |
| eik thil piaaraa veesarai rog vaddaa man maahi || |
| Forgetting the Beloved, even for a moment, the mind is afflicted with terrible diseases. |

| ਬਿਨੁ ਗੁਰ ਰੋਗੁ ਨ ਤੁਟਈ ਹਉਮੈ ਪੀੜ ਨ ਜਾਇ ॥ |
| bin gur rog n thuttee houmai peerr n jaae || |
| Without the Guru, the disease is not cured, and the pain of egotism is not removed. |

| ਹਉਮੈ ਰੋਗੁ ਭ੍ਰਮੁ ਕਟੀਐ ਨਾ ਆਵੈ ਨਾ ਜਾਗੁ ॥੨॥ |
| houmai rog bhram katteeai naa aavai naa jaag ||2|| |
| The diseases of ego and doubt are cast out; they shall not come and go in reincarnation. ||2|| |

| ਹਉਮੈ ਰੋਗੁ ਗਵਾਈਐ ਸਬਦਿ ਸਚੈ ਸਚੁ ਭਾਖੁ ॥੮॥ |
| houmai rog gavaaeeai sabadh sachai sach bhaakh ||8|| |
| Eradicate the disease of egotism, and chant the True Shabad, the Word of the True Lord. ||8|| |

| ਤਨੁ ਹੈਮੰਚਲਿ ਗਾਲੀਐ ਭੀ ਮਨ ਤੇ ਰੋਗੁ ਨ ਜਾਇ ॥ |
| than haimanchal gaaleeai bhee man thae rog n jaae || |
| and if my body were frozen in the Himalayas-even then, my mind would not be free of disease. |

| ਜਾ ਕਉ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਬਹੁਤੁ ਬਹੁਤੁ ਦੇਹੀ ਵਿਆਪੈ ਰੋਗੁ ॥ |
| jaa ko chinthaa bahuth bahuth dhaehee viaapai rog || |
| When you are plagued by great and excessive anxiety, and diseases of the body; |

| ਕਾਇਆ ਰੋਗੁ ਨ ਛਿਦ੍ਰੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਨਾ ਕਿਛੁ ਕਾੜਾ ਸੋਗੁ ॥ |
| kaaeiaa rog n shhidhra kishh naa kishh kaarraa sog || |
| You may have a body free of disease and deformity, and have no worries or grief at all; |

| ਚਿੰਤਾ ਰੋਗੁ ਗਈ ਹਉ ਪੀੜਾ ਆਪਿ ਕਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਲਾ ਜੀਉ ॥੨॥ |
| chinthaa rog gee ho peerraa aap karae prathipaalaa jeeo ||2|| |
| The sickness of anxiety and the disease of ego are cured; He Himself cherishes me. ||2|| |

| ਸੰਤਸੰਗਿ ਮਿਲਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਜਪਿਆ ਬਿਨਸੇ ਆਲਸ ਰੋਗਾ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥ |
| santhasang mil har har japiaa binasae aalas rogaa jeeo ||1|| |
| Joining the Society of the Saints, I chant the Name of the Lord, Har, Har; the disease of laziness has disappeared. ||1|| |

| ਮਨਮੁਖੁ ਰੋਗੀ ਹੈ ਸੰਸਾਰਾ ॥ |
| manamukh rogee hai sansaaraa || |
| The self-willed manmukhs are sick and diseased in the world. |

| ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਰੋਗੀ ਬਿਸਟਾ ਕੇ ਕੀੜੇ ਬਿਸਟਾ ਮਹਿ ਦੁਖੁ ਪਾਵਣਿਆ ॥੭॥ |
| anadhin rogee bisattaa kae keerrae bisattaa mehi dhukh paavaniaa ||7|| |
| Night and day, they are diseased, like maggots in manure, and in manure they endure agony. ||7|| |
|
| ਸੁਖਹੁ ਉਠੇ ਰੋਗ ਪਾਪ ਕਮਾਇਆ ॥ |
| sukhahu outhae rog paap kamaaeiaa || |
| From pleasures, arise diseases and the commission of sins. |
|
| ਰੋਗੁ ਦਾਰੂ ਦੋਵੈ ਬੁਝੈ ਤਾ ਵੈਦੁ ਸੁਜਾਣੁ ॥ |

| If someone understands both the disease and the medicine, only then is he a wise physician. |

| ਦੂਖੁ ਰੋਗੁ ਕਛੁ ਭਉ ਨ ਬਿਆਪੈ ॥ |

| Pain, disease and fear do not affect them at all. |

| ਦੂਖੁ ਰੋਗੁ ਸੋਗੁ ਬਿਸਰੈ ਜਬ ਨਾਮੁ ॥ |
| dhookh rog sog bisarai jab naam || |
| Pain, disease and sorrow come when one forgets the Naam, the Name of the Lord. |

| ਤਿਨ ਕਉ ਬਿਆਪੈ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਰੋਗ ॥੧॥ |

| are afflicted by the disease of anxiety. ||1|| |

| ਸਗਲ ਰੋਗ ਕਾ ਬਿਨਸਿਆ ਥਾਉ ॥੨॥ |

| the dwelling of all disease is destroyed. ||2|| |

| ਦੂਖ ਦਰਦ ਰੋਗ ਸਗਲ ਬਿਦਾਰਿਆ ॥੨॥ |
| dhookh dharadh rog sagal bidhaariaa ||2|| |
| all pain, suffering and disease are taken away. ||2|| |
|
| ਤਿਤੁ ਬਲਿ ਰੋਗੁ ਨ ਬਿਆਪੈ ਕੋਈ ॥੧॥ |
| thith bal rog n biaapai koee ||1|| |
| By His power, no disease afflicts me. ||1|| |

| ਰੋਗ ਗਿਰਸਤ ਚਿਤਾਰੇ ਨਾਉ ॥ |

| Gripped by disease, they invoke the Name. |

| ਹਰਿ ਬਿਸਰਿਐ ਦੁਖ ਰੋਗ ਘਨੇਰੇ ॥ |

| Forgetting the Lord, all sorts of pains and diseases come. |

| ਬਿਨਸੇ ਰੋਗ ਭਏ ਕਲਿਆਨ ॥੧॥ |

| Disease shall depart, and you shall be saved. ||1|| |

| ਕਟੀਐ ਤੇਰਾ ਅਹੰ ਰੋਗੁ ॥ |
| katteeai thaeraa ahan rog || |
| The disease of your ego shall be eradicated. |

| ਰੋਗੁ ਨ ਬਿਆਪੈ ਨਾ ਜਮ ਦੋਖੰ ॥ |
| rog n biaapai naa jam dhokhan || |
| Disease does not afflict me, nor does the pain of death. |

| ਸੁਖੁ ਸੁਪਨੈ ਨਹੀ ਤਨ ਮਹਿ ਰੋਗ ॥੩॥ |
| sukh supanai nehee than mehi rog ||3|| |
| shall find no peace, even in dreams; his body shall become diseased. ||3|| |
|
| ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਕਾਟੇ ਸਭਿ ਰੋਗ ॥ |
| simar simar kaattae sabh rog || |
| Remembering, remembering Him in meditation, all diseases are healed. |
|
| ਤਾਹਿ ਰੋਗੁ ਸੁਪਨੈ ਨਹੀ ਆਵੈ ॥ |
| thaahi rog supanai nehee aavai || |
| is not infested with disease, even in his dreams. |
|
| ਸਾਧ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਮਿਟੇ ਸਭਿ ਰੋਗ ॥ |
| saadhh kai sang mittae sabh rog || |
| In the Company of the Holy, all diseases are cured. |

| ਸੰਤ ਕੇ ਨਿੰਦਕ ਕਉ ਸਰਬ ਰੋਗ ॥ |
| santh kae nindhak ko sarab rog || |
| The slanderer of the Saint contracts all diseases. |
|
| ਸਰਬ ਰੋਗ ਤੇ ਓਹੁ ਹਰਿ ਜਨੁ ਰਹਤ ॥ |
| sarab rog thae ouhu har jan rehath || |
| Such a devotee of the Lord is free of all disease. |

| ਜਿਸੁ ਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਤੂਟੈ ਹਉ ਰੋਗੁ ॥ |

| One who, by Guru's Grace, is cured of the disease of ego |

| ਸਰਬ ਰੋਗ ਨਾਨਕ ਮਿਟਿ ਜਾਹਿ ॥੧॥ |

| All disease, O Nanak, shall then be dispelled. ||1|| |

| ਦੀਰਘ ਰੋਗੁ ਮਾਇਆ ਆਸਾਧਿਓ ॥ |

| It suffers from the chronic and incurable disease of Maya. |

| ਮਨ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਹਉਮੈ ਰੋਗੁ ਹੈ ਭ੍ਰਮਿ ਭੂਲੇ ਮਨਮੁਖ ਦੁਰਜਨਾ ॥ |

| Deep within the mind is the disease of ego; the self-willed manmukhs, the evil beings, are deluded by doubt. |

| ਨਾਨਕ ਰੋਗੁ ਗਵਾਇ ਮਿਲਿ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਸਾਧੂ ਸਜਨਾ ॥੧॥ |

| bikhai rog bhai bandhhan bhaagae man nij ghar sukh jaanaanaa ||1|| |
| The diseases of corruption, fear and bondage have run away; my mind has come to know peace in its own true home. ||1|| |

| ਜੋ ਜਨਮੇ ਸੇ ਰੋਗਿ ਵਿਆਪੇ ॥ |

| Whoever is born is afflicted by disease, |

| ਦੂਖ ਰੋਗ ਭਏ ਗਤੁ ਤਨ ਤੇ ਮਨੁ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਇ ॥ |

| Pain and disease have left my body, and my mind has become pure; I sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord, Har, Har. |

| ਕਾਟਿਆ ਰੋਗੁ ਮਹਾ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਹਰਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਮੁਖਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਦੀਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ |
| kaattiaa rog mehaa sukh paaeiaa har anmrith mukh naam dheeaa ||1|| rehaao || |
| He has cured me of my disease, and I have obtained the greatest peace; He has placed the Ambrosial Name of the Lord in my mouth. ||1||Pause|| |

| then all my pains, troubles, and diseases vanish. ||1|| |

| ਜਗੁ ਰੋਗੀ ਭੋਗੀ ਗੁਣ ਰੋਇ ॥ |

| The world is diseased, from its indulgences; it weeps over its lost virtue. |

| ਰੋਗ ਮਿਟੇ ਦੁਖੁ ਠਾਕਿ ਰਹਾਇਆ ॥੩॥ |
