Remembering God, one attains the unchanging position. |

ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੈ ਸਿਮਰਨਿ ਕਮਲ ਬਿਗਾਸਨੁ ॥ |
prabh kai simaran kamal bigaasan || |
Remembering God, the heart-lotus blossoms forth. |

ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੈ ਸਿਮਰਨਿ ਅਨਹਦ ਝੁਨਕਾਰ ॥ |
prabh kai simaran anehadh jhunakaar || |
Remembering God, the unstruck melody vibrates. |
|
ਸੁਖੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਕਾ ਅੰਤੁ ਨ ਪਾਰ ॥ |
sukh prabh simaran kaa anth n paar || |
The peace of the meditative remembrance of God has no end or limitation. |

ਸਿਮਰਹਿ ਸੇ ਜਨ ਜਿਨ ਕਉ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮਇਆ ॥ |
simarehi sae jan jin ko prabh maeiaa || |
They alone remember Him, upon whom God bestows His Grace. |
|
ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮਿ ਜਨ ਕੀਨੋ ਦਾਨ ॥ |
paarabreham jan keeno dhaan || |
The Supreme Lord God has blessed His humble servant with this gift. |
|
ਹਰਿ ਧਨੁ ਜਨ ਕਉ ਆਪਿ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਦੀਨਾ ॥ |
har dhhan jan ko aap prabh dheenaa || |
The treasure of the Lord has been bestowed on His servants by God Himself. |
|
ਜਿਸੁ ਜਨ ਕਉ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਦਰਸ ਪਿਆਸਾ ॥ |
jis jan ko prabh dharas piaasaa || |
Those who thirst for the Blessed Vision of God's Darshan |
|
ਨਿਮਾਨੇ ਕਉ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਤੇਰੋ ਮਾਨੁ ॥ |
nimaanae ko prabh thaero maan || |
To the dishonored, You, O God, are honor. |
|
ਆਪਨ ਸੰਗਿ ਆਪਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਰਾਤੇ ॥ |
aapan sang aap prabh raathae || |
You Yourself, God, are imbued with Yourself. |
|
ਨਿਰਗੁਨੀਆਰ ਇਆਨਿਆ ਸੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸਦਾ ਸਮਾਲਿ ॥ |
niraguneeaar eiaaniaa so prabh sadhaa samaal || |
You worthless, ignorant fool - dwell upon God forever. |

ਨਾਨਕ ਕਾਢਿ ਲੇਹੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਆਪੇ ॥੨॥ |
naanak kaadt laehu prabh aapae ||2|| |
Nanak: uplift and save them, God! ||2|| |

ਨਾਨਕ ਕਾਢਿ ਲੇਹੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਦਇਆਲ ॥੪॥ |

Nanak: lift them up and save them, O Merciful Lord God! ||4|| |

ਜਾ ਕੈ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਬਸੈ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਆਪਿ ॥ |
jaa kai anthar basai prabh aap || |
Those, within whom God Himself abides |
|
ਊਚੇ ਤੇ ਊਚਾ ਭਗਵੰਤ ॥ |
oochae thae oochaa bhagavanth || |
O Highest of the High, Most Generous God, |
|
ਦੇਨਹਾਰੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਛੋਡਿ ਕੈ ਲਾਗਹਿ ਆਨ ਸੁਆਇ ॥ |
dhaenehaar prabh shhodd kai laagehi aan suaae || |
One who renounces God the Giver, and attaches himself to other affairs |

ਜਾ ਕੈ ਮਨਿ ਲਾਗਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਮੀਠਾ ॥ |
jaa kai man laagaa prabh meethaa || |
That one, unto whose mind God seems sweet |
|
ਅਗਨਤ ਸਾਹੁ ਅਪਨੀ ਦੇ ਰਾਸਿ ॥ |
aganath saahu apanee dhae raas || |
God the Banker gives endless capital to the mortal, |
|
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀ ਆਗਿਆ ਮਾਨੈ ਮਾਥੈ ॥ |
prabh kee aagiaa maanai maathhai || |
and willingly abides by the Will of God's Order, |
|
ਜਾਨਨਹਾਰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਪਰਬੀਨ ॥ |
jaananehaar prabhoo parabeen || |
The Omniscient Lord God is the Knower of all. |
|
ਜੋ ਤੁਮ ਭਾਨੇ ਤਿਨ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਜਾਤਾ ॥ |
jo thum bhaanae thin prabh jaathaa || |
Those who are pleasing to You, God, know You. |
|
ਕਰਉ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਸਭੁ ਜਾਨੈ ॥ |
karo baenathee paarabreham sabh jaanai || |
Offer your prayers to the Supreme Lord God, who knows everything. |

ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਰਣਾਗਤੀ ਕਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦੁ ਗੁਰਦੇਵ ॥੧॥ |
naanak prabh saranaagathee kar prasaadh guradhaev ||1|| |
Nanak seeks the Sanctuary of God; please bless me with Your Grace, O Divine Guru. ||1|| |

ਮਨ ਸਦਾ ਧਿਆਇ ਕੇਵਲ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ॥ |
man sadhaa dhhiaae kaeval paarabreham || |
O mind, meditate continually on the Supreme Lord God. |
|
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਜੀ ਜਪਤ ਦਰਗਹ ਮਾਨੁ ਪਾਵਹਿ ॥ |
prabh jee japath dharageh maan paavehi || |
Meditating on God, you shall be honored in His Court; |
|
ਮਨ ਸਰਨੀ ਪਰੁ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਤਾ ਕੈ ॥ |
man saranee par thaakur prabh thaa kai || |
O mind, seek the Sanctuary of God, our Lord and Master. |
|
ਮਨ ਸਾਸਿ ਸਾਸਿ ਸਿਮਰਹੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਊਚੇ ॥ |
man saas saas simarahu prabh oochae || |
O mind, with each and every breath, remember God on High. |
|
ਮਨ ਤਿਸੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਉ ਕਬਹੂ ਨ ਬਿਸਾਰੀ ॥ |
man this prabh ko kabehoo n bisaaree || |
O mind, never forget that God. |
|
ਰਾਖੁ ਪਰੋਇ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਮਨਾ ॥ |
raakh paroe prabh apunae manaa || |
keep God enshrined in your heart. |
|
ਤਿਸੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਉ ਸਾਸਿ ਸਾਸਿ ਚਿਤਾਰੀ ॥ |
this prabh ko saas saas chithaaree || |
think of God with each and every breath. |
|
ਸੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸਿਮਰਹੁ ਸਦਾ ਅਨੂਪੁ ॥ |
so prabh simarahu sadhaa anoop || |
constantly remember God, the Incomparably Beautiful One. |
|
ਸੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸਦਾ ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤਿ ॥ |
so prabh simar sadhaa dhin raath || |
remember God always, day and night. |
|
ਐਸਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਤਿਆਗਿ ਅਵਰ ਕਤ ਲਾਗਹੁ ॥ |
aisaa prabh thiaag avar kath laagahu || |
Why forsake God, and attach yourself to another? |
|
ਤਿਸੁ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਉ ਮੂਲਿ ਨ ਮਨਹੁ ਬਿਸਾਰਿ ॥ |
this prabh ko mool n manahu bisaar || |
never forget God from your mind. |
|
ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਸਾਧ ਰਿਦ ਬਸੈ ॥ |
paarabreham saadhh ridh basai || |
The Supreme Lord God dwells in the hearts of the Holy. |
|
ਸਾਧ ਕੈ ਸੰਗਿ ਲਗੈ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਮੀਠਾ ॥ |
saadhh kai sang lagai prabh meethaa || |
In the Company of the Holy, God seems very sweet. |
|
ਨਾਨਕ ਸਾਧ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭੇਦੁ ਨ ਭਾਈ ॥੮॥੭॥ |
naanak saadhh prabh bhaedh n bhaaee ||8||7|| |
O Nanak, there is no difference between the Holy people and God. ||8||7|| |

ਨਾਨਕ ਇਹ ਲਛਣ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਹੋਇ ॥੧॥ |
naanak eih lashhan breham giaanee hoe ||1|| |
O Nanak, these are the qualities of the God-conscious being. ||1|| |

ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਸਦਾ ਨਿਰਲੇਪ ॥ |
breham giaanee sadhaa niralaep || |
The God-conscious being is always unattached, |
|
ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਸਦਾ ਨਿਰਦੋਖ ॥ |
breham giaanee sadhaa niradhokh || |
The God-conscious being is always unstained, |
|
ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਕੈ ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਸਮਾਨਿ ॥ |
breham giaanee kai dhrisatt samaan || |
The God-conscious being looks upon all alike, |
|
ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਕੈ ਧੀਰਜੁ ਏਕ ॥ |
breham giaanee kai dhheeraj eaek || |
The God-conscious being has a steady patience, |
|
ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਕਾ ਇਹੈ ਗੁਨਾਉ ॥ |
breham giaanee kaa eihai gunaao || |
This is the quality of the God-conscious being: |

ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਤੇ ਨਿਰਮਲਾ ॥ |
breham giaanee niramal thae niramalaa || |
The God-conscious being is the purest of the pure; |
|
ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਕੈ ਮਨਿ ਹੋਇ ਪ੍ਰਗਾਸੁ ॥ |
breham giaanee kai man hoe pragaas || |
The God-conscious being's mind is enlightened, |
|
ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਕੈ ਮਿਤ੍ਰ ਸਤ੍ਰੁ ਸਮਾਨਿ ॥ |
breham giaanee kai mithr sathra samaan || |
To the God-conscious being, friend and foe are the same. |
|
ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਕੈ ਨਾਹੀ ਅਭਿਮਾਨ ॥ |
breham giaanee kai naahee abhimaan || |
The God-conscious being has no egotistical pride. |
|
ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਊਚ ਤੇ ਊਚਾ ॥ |
breham giaanee ooch thae oochaa || |
The God-conscious being is the highest of the high. |
|
ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਸੇ ਜਨ ਭਏ ॥ |
breham giaanee sae jan bheae || |
They alone become God-conscious beings, |
|
ਨਾਨਕ ਜਿਨ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਆਪਿ ਕਰੇਇ ॥੨॥ |
naanak jin prabh aap karaee ||2|| |
O Nanak, whom God Himself makes so. ||2|| |
