| ਸੰਤ ਕਾ ਦੋਖੀ ਕਿਸੈ ਕਾ ਨਹੀ ਮਿਤੁ ॥ |

| The slanderer of the Saint is nobody's friend. |

| ਸੰਤ ਕੇ ਦੋਖੀ ਕਉ ਡਾਨੁ ਲਾਗੈ ॥ |
| santh kae dhokhee ko ddaan laagai || |
| The slanderer of the Saint shall be punished. |

| ਸੰਤ ਕੇ ਦੋਖੀ ਕਉ ਸਭ ਤਿਆਗੈ ॥ |
| santh kae dhokhee ko sabh thiaagai || |
| The slanderer of the Saint is abandoned by all. |
|
| ਸੰਤ ਕਾ ਦੋਖੀ ਮਹਾ ਅਹੰਕਾਰੀ ॥ |
| santh kaa dhokhee mehaa ahankaaree || |
| The slanderer of the Saint is totally egocentric. |
|
| ਸੰਤ ਕਾ ਦੋਖੀ ਸਦਾ ਬਿਕਾਰੀ ॥ |
| santh kaa dhokhee sadhaa bikaaree || |
| The slanderer of the Saint is forever corrupt. |
|
| ਸੰਤ ਕਾ ਦੋਖੀ ਜਨਮੈ ਮਰੈ ॥ |
| santh kaa dhokhee janamai marai || |
| The slanderer of the Saint must endure birth and death. |
|
| ਸੰਤ ਕੀ ਦੂਖਨਾ ਸੁਖ ਤੇ ਟਰੈ ॥ |
| santh kee dhookhanaa sukh thae ttarai || |
| The slanderer of the Saint is devoid of peace. |
|
| ਸੰਤ ਕੇ ਦੋਖੀ ਕਉ ਨਾਹੀ ਠਾਉ ॥ |
| santh kae dhokhee ko naahee thaao || |
| The slanderer of the Saint has no place of rest. |
|
| ਨਾਨਕ ਸੰਤ ਭਾਵੈ ਤਾ ਲਏ ਮਿਲਾਇ ॥੪॥ |
| naanak santh bhaavai thaa leae milaae ||4|| |
| O Nanak, if it pleases the Saint, then even such a one may merge in union. ||4|| |

| ਸੰਤ ਕਾ ਦੋਖੀ ਅਧ ਬੀਚ ਤੇ ਟੂਟੈ ॥ |

| The slanderer of the Saint breaks down mid-way. |

| ਸੰਤ ਕਾ ਦੋਖੀ ਕਿਤੈ ਕਾਜਿ ਨ ਪਹੂਚੈ ॥ |
| santh kaa dhokhee kithai kaaj n pehoochai || |
| The slanderer of the Saint cannot accomplish his tasks. |

| ਸੰਤ ਕੇ ਦੋਖੀ ਕਉ ਉਦਿਆਨ ਭ੍ਰਮਾਈਐ ॥ |
| santh kae dhokhee ko oudhiaan bhramaaeeai || |
| The slanderer of the Saint wanders in the wilderness. |
|
| ਸੰਤ ਕਾ ਦੋਖੀ ਉਝੜਿ ਪਾਈਐ ॥ |
| santh kaa dhokhee oujharr paaeeai || |
| The slanderer of the Saint is misled into desolation. |
|
| ਸੰਤ ਕਾ ਦੋਖੀ ਅੰਤਰ ਤੇ ਥੋਥਾ ॥ |
| santh kaa dhokhee anthar thae thhothhaa || |
| The slanderer of the Saint is empty inside, |
|
| ਸੰਤ ਕੇ ਦੋਖੀ ਕੀ ਜੜ ਕਿਛੁ ਨਾਹਿ ॥ |
| santh kae dhokhee kee jarr kishh naahi || |
| The slanderer of the Saint has no heritage at all. |
|
| ਸੰਤ ਕੇ ਦੋਖੀ ਕਉ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਰਾਖਨਹਾਰੁ ॥ |
| santh kae dhokhee ko avar n raakhanehaar || |
| The slanderer of the Saint cannot be saved by anyone else. |
|
| ਨਾਨਕ ਸੰਤ ਭਾਵੈ ਤਾ ਲਏ ਉਬਾਰਿ ॥੫॥ |
| naanak santh bhaavai thaa leae oubaar ||5|| |
| O Nanak, if it pleases the Saint, then even he may be saved. ||5|| |

| ਸੰਤ ਕਾ ਦੋਖੀ ਇਉ ਬਿਲਲਾਇ ॥ |

| The slanderer of the Saint bewails like this |

| ਸੰਤ ਕਾ ਦੋਖੀ ਭੂਖਾ ਨਹੀ ਰਾਜੈ ॥ |

| The slanderer of the Saint is hungry and is never satisfied, |
|
| ਸੰਤ ਕਾ ਦੋਖੀ ਛੁਟੈ ਇਕੇਲਾ ॥ |
| santh kaa dhokhee shhuttai eikaelaa || |
| The slanderer of the Saint is left all alone, |
|
| ਸੰਤ ਕਾ ਦੋਖੀ ਧਰਮ ਤੇ ਰਹਤ ॥ |
| santh kaa dhokhee dhharam thae rehath || |
| The slanderer of the Saint is devoid of faith. |
|
| ਸੰਤ ਕਾ ਦੋਖੀ ਸਦ ਮਿਥਿਆ ਕਹਤ ॥ |
| santh kaa dhokhee sadh mithhiaa kehath || |
| The slanderer of the Saint constantly lies. |
|
| ਸੰਤ ਕਾ ਦੋਖੀ ਬਿਗੜ ਰੂਪੁ ਹੋਇ ਜਾਇ ॥ |
| santh kaa dhokhee bigarr roop hoe jaae || |
| The slanderer of the Saint becomes deformed. |
|
| ਸੰਤ ਕੇ ਦੋਖੀ ਕਉ ਦਰਗਹ ਮਿਲੈ ਸਜਾਇ ॥ |
| santh kae dhokhee ko dharageh milai sajaae || |
| The slanderer of the Saint receives his punishment in the Court of the Lord. |
|
| ਸੰਤ ਕਾ ਦੋਖੀ ਸਦਾ ਸਹਕਾਈਐ ॥ |
| santh kaa dhokhee sadhaa sehakaaeeai || |
| The slanderer of the Saint is eternally in limbo. |
|
| ਸੰਤ ਕੇ ਦੋਖੀ ਕੀ ਪੁਜੈ ਨ ਆਸਾ ॥ |
| santh kae dhokhee kee pujai n aasaa || |
| The hopes of the slanderer of the Saint are not fulfilled. |
|
| ਸੰਤ ਕਾ ਦੋਖੀ ਉਠਿ ਚਲੈ ਨਿਰਾਸਾ ॥ |
| santh kaa dhokhee outh chalai niraasaa || |
| The slanderer of the Saint departs disappointed. |
|
| ਸੰਤ ਕੈ ਦੋਖਿ ਨ ਤ੍ਰਿਸਟੈ ਕੋਇ ॥ |
| santh kai dhokh n thrisattai koe || |
| Slandering the Saint, no one attains satisfaction. |
|
| ਸੋ ਸੰਤੁ ਸੁਹੇਲਾ ਨਹੀ ਡੁਲਾਵੈ ॥ |
| so santh suhaelaa nehee ddulaavai || |
| - that Saint is at peace; he does not waver. |
|
| ਤਿਨ ਸੰਤਨ ਕੀ ਬਾਛਉ ਧੂਰਿ ॥ |
| thin santhan kee baashho dhhoor || |
| I seek the dust of the feet of those Saints; |
|
| ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਸੰਤਨ ਘਰਿ ਪਾਇਆ ॥ |
| raam naam santhan ghar paaeiaa || |
| n - the Lord's Name is obtained in the home of the Saints. |
|
| ਲਾਦਿ ਖੇਪ ਸੰਤਹ ਸੰਗਿ ਚਾਲੁ ॥ |
| laadh khaep santheh sang chaal || |
| Load up this merchandise, and set out with the Saints. |
|
| ਅਨਿਕ ਬਿਘਨ ਤੇ ਸਾਧੂ ਰਾਖੈ ॥ |
| anik bighan thae saadhhoo raakhai || |
| From all sorts of dangers, the Saint saves us. |
|
| ਓਟ ਗਹੀ ਸੰਤਹ ਦਰਿ ਆਇਆ ॥ |
| outt gehee santheh dhar aaeiaa || |
| Seeking the Protection of the Saints, we have come to their door. |
|
| ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟਿ ਪੇਖੈ ਹੋਇ ਸੰਤ ॥ |
| anmrith dhrisatt paekhai hoe santh || |
| Beholding His Ambrosial Glance, one becomes saintly. |
|
| ਸਾਧੂ ਕੇ ਪੂਰਨ ਉਪਦੇਸੇ ॥ |
| saadhhoo kae pooran oupadhaesae || |
| by the perfect Teachings of the Holy Saint. |
|
| ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾ ਮਿਲਿ ਕਰਹੁ ਬੀਚਾਰੁ ॥ |
| santh janaa mil karahu beechaar || |
| Joining the Company of the Saints, practice deep meditation. |
|
| ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾ ਕਾ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਮੰਤ ॥ |
| santh janaa kaa niramal manth || |
| Pure are the instructions of the humble Saints. |
|
| ਸਾਜਨ ਸੰਤ ਕਰਹੁ ਇਹੁ ਕਾਮੁ ॥ |
| saajan santh karahu eihu kaam || |
| O friends, O Saints, make this your work. |
|
| ਜਹ ਪਸਰੈ ਪਾਸਾਰੁ ਸੰਤ ਪਰਤਾਪਿ ॥ |
| jeh pasarai paasaar santh parathaap || |
| He unfolds the expanse of His creation for the glory of His Saint. |
|
| ਹਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਤੇ ਸੰਤ ਭੇਟਿਆ ਨਾਨਕ ਮਨਿ ਪਰਗਾਸੁ ॥੧॥ |
| har kirapaa thae santh bhaettiaa naanak man paragaas ||1|| |
| By the Lord's Grace, I have met the Saint; O Nanak, my mind is enlightened. ||1|| |
|
| ਸੰਤਸੰਗਿ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਡੀਠਾ ॥ |
| santhasang anthar prabh ddeethaa || |
| In the Society of the Saints, I see God deep within my being. |
|
| ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾ ਕਾ ਪੇਖਨੁ ਸਭੁ ਬ੍ਰਹਮ ॥ |
| santh janaa kaa paekhan sabh breham || |
| In the eye of the Saint, everything is God. |
|
| ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾ ਕੈ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਸਭਿ ਧਰਮ ॥ |
| santh janaa kai hiradhai sabh dhharam || |
| In the heart of the Saint, everything is Dharma. |
|
| ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾ ਸੁਨਹਿ ਸੁਭ ਬਚਨ ॥ |
| santh janaa sunehi subh bachan || |
| The Saint hears words of goodness. |
|
| ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾ ਕੀ ਧੂਰਿ ਮਨ ਮੰਗ ॥ |
| santh janaa kee dhhoor man mang || |
| and pray for the dust of the feet of the Saints. |
|
| ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀ ਉਸਤਤਿ ਕਰਹੁ ਸੰਤ ਮੀਤ ॥ |
| prabh kee ousathath karahu santh meeth || |
| Sing the Praises of God, O Saints, O friends, |
|
| ਸੰਤ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਤੇ ਜਮ ਤੇ ਛੁਟੈ ॥ |
| santh kirapaa thae jam thae shhuttai || |
| By the Grace of the Saint, one escapes the Messenger of Death. |
|
| ਸਾਧ ਸਰਣਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਤੇ ਆਏ ॥੭॥ |
| saadhh saran naanak thae aaeae ||7|| |
| O Nanak, enter the Sanctuary of the Saints. ||7|| |
|
| ਨਾਨਕ ਸੰਤ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਭਏ ਜਿਨ ਮਨਿ ਵਸਿਆ ਸੋਇ ॥੩॥ |
| naanak santh niramal bheae jin man vasiaa soe ||3|| |
| O Nanak, the Saints are pure and immaculate; the Lord abides within their minds. ||3|| |
